ReplyDeleteBrooke is unbelievable! According to her, what Ridge and Taylor share is a "ridiculous engagement." Then her words to Ridge, "I will just run off with Nick and forget I ever met you. Because he is decisive. And it is good to feel wanted and desired, the way you used to look at me."
ReplyDeleteSo, Ridge choosing Taylor and continuing to tell both her and Eric that he is in love with and committed to Taylor is Ridge not being decisive? Or is the real problem that Ridge's decisiveness was in choosing Taylor and not her? Brooke is tired of the back and forth but she refuses to acknowledge that Ridge already made a decision. She is the one that keeps begging him and treating his relationship with Taylor like it's a bump in the road!
As for Eric, he has finally made his feelings clear about Taylor. He definitely does not love or support her relationship with his son.
I have to say, this is the worst storyline I have seen with this trio where both Eric and Brooke (and Donna) continue to disrespect Taylor and treat her like nothing. If Ridge turns his back on Taylor after all this and returns to Brooke, I am done with this show. This storyline has been in such poor taste. I really hope that Brooke moves on with Nick and reclaims her self esteem. It is embarrassing to watch.

Today wasn't really embarrassing for Brooke, she finally stood her grounds with Ridge, Which she should have done a long time ago. As for being indecisive he surely is. Because even though he chose Taylor again after a supposed broken heart from Brooke, we now see him chasing after Brooke now that another man is showing interest in her. That's being pretty indecisive to me.
DeleteI'm just tired being Brooke chase after a man. This show has always written Ridge and Brooke as the quintessential love couple and I am a fan of love. Taylor, they wrote as the woman Ridge ran to when ever he and Brooke had a fallen out. Taylor was back in LA along time, and Ridge paid her no interest, it was only when he thought Brooke betrayed him that he turned to Taylor. His heart belongs to Brooke, yes he is fund of Taylor but clearly Brooke is where his heart lies, the thing is, Taylor must know this herself. But she is quite find with sharing her man's heart with another woman. Brooke knows also that Ridge cares for Taylor, but she feels the love those two share is stronger. I use to love their love story, but after he divorced Brooke without even telling her why and when he called her daughter a slut. I didn't care for him anymore. This trio storyline had been dead a long time ago, and Brooke and Ridge was a couple for a very long time. Until they brought Taylor back and again they decided to start this trio nonsense all over again. If Taylor had been gone all those years, why couldn't they have written her storyline with her coming back with a husband. Why do they make her this woman who has been stuck on this one man all of her life. It's pathetic. These characters are not young folks anymore, they all now have grandkids. Please B&B. Just put Brooke and Ridge the two main characters back together. Because pretty soon, Taylors contract will be up and so will nicks. If we are going to watch this show for many more years to come, just leave Brooke and Ridge together, we tired of the back and forth.
The thing is Peggy, Ridge is not "chasing after Brooke now that another man is showing interest in her." He does not like Nick and has said that Brooke can do better than him. Ridge has said that Brooke can be with anyone, except Nick. It's the same reason why Eric doesn't want Nick anywhere near Brooke. He doesn't like him. The only difference is that Eric wants Brooke with Ridge and Ridge wants her with someone else. Eric told Ridge about Nick and Brooke sharing a kiss then told him that he needs to make a choice between Taylor and Brooke, and Ridge told him that he is with Taylor. Ridge has been pretty resolute in his decision to be with Taylor. He hasn't shown any indecisiveness whatsoever. Brooke is just upset because she has been fighting a losing battle.
DeleteElle, it’s none of Ridge’s business who Brooke starts a relationship with. The fact that he feels the need to give his 2 cents, just proves he still has very strong feelings for Brooke. Otherwise he would simply wish her well and be happy with which ever man she chooses.

Tomorrow’s episode may really be a Thursday episode since we are probably still behind one. And if so, we probably don’t find out what happens until Monday.
I had the same sick to my stomach feelings about Thomas and Hope being in a romantic relationship, and then the same feelings again when the reveal happened that Finn slept with his aunt. Both scenarios were disgusting to me and I took some days off from this poorly written show. But ultimately I came back. And much to my relief, Thomas exited the show, so I never had to see him in bed with Hope again. And as gross as the Finn sleeping with Poppy thing is, I finally got over that too. All that to say, you’ll get over it when Brooke snd Ridge reunite. It’s happened so many times over the years, that it can’t be much of a shock to you.
Ridge is a selfish SOB!!!! Telling Brooke it hurts him to see her like this. What an ass!!! Like Brooke said, “How do you think I feel?? It’s killing me!!” Ridge always thinks about himself. And people in his life are completely disposable to the asshole!! I hope Ridge wants Brooke back soooooo badly, and she shuts him down once and for all!!! And Taylor will not want Ridge if he’s pining for Brooke. So Taylor will hit the road!!

DeleteIt's not so much Ridge and Brooke reuniting that will make me stop watching, Lynn. It's the complete disrespect of Taylor by everyone, even to her face. They're all acting like Taylor's feelings are nothing to be concerned about. And yes, she may have been dumb to reunite with Ridge, but the fact is that they're in a relationship and engaged. So if after all of Ridge's declarations of being in love with Taylor and accepting her proposal, he turns around and goes back to Brooke, I will definitely stop watching. As I said before, this storyline is in poor taste where the trio is concerned.

I thought you had said that you have watched the show since the beginning. So I assumed you had watched continuously. If you have missed large chunks of time watching this show (like I have), then you wouldn’t know all the history.
DeleteAs far as being disrespected, most of the women on this show get disrespected. However, Ridge can do no wrong in the writer’s eyes.
People always say the writers favor the Logans. But truthfully, the writers just favor Ridge!
I will say that Eric has zero respect for Taylor. I think Eric is worse than Brooke in trying to persuade Ridge to reunite with Brooke. The whole SL has been ridiculous from start to finish. But part of that ridiculousness has to do with how determined Ridge has been. That hasn’t been realistic either. Ridge will go back to Brooke and that will make all his resolve about Taylor look completely insincere. .
DeleteLynn, I have watched from the beginning. I skipped 2 years of recent history (when AN Hope joined). Of course I won't be able to comment on that period of time. I don't think missing 2 years of a show that has been running for 30+ years means that I'm not knowledgeable about the show's history. I'm also certain that I would have watched a lot longer than you have since you've consistently stated that you only started watching in more recent years.

She was so cross, and couldn’t believe her and Eric’s plan failed! She really thought he would just fall back in her arms.
If it was anyone but Nick it would be a nonissue. I hope Brooke can let go and enjoy being loved and spoiled by Nick.
Ridge doesn’t act jealous, just doesn’t want Nick to hurt Brooke.
I think Ridge truly loves Taylor and is done with the drama and games that come with Brooke. He is happy. When he gets home they need to go house hunting.

I've always felt that Ridge genuinely loves Taylor. Every time she comes to LA, he gets so excited and is all over her. This time, he took it a step further and got quite intimate during the Chondra healing session.
DeleteI also said, several times, that if I was Brooke, I would truly question Ridge's actions whenever Taylor is in town. They aren't the actions of someone who only shares children with that woman. Ridge and Taylor have a deep and binding connection due to their past love for each other. It was something that Brooke could never overcome until Taylor died, and something that has made Brooke very insecure ever since she and Ridge got together. Brooke knows what Ridge and Taylor mean to each other, that's why she tries so hard to keep him away from Taylor.

She was goading Ridge as a last ditch attempt for him to come running after her. That was very petty of her. This whole business with Ridge not wanting to take Brooke back is making Brooke look desperate. I wish she would just move on.
DeleteDuring the FC takeover storyline, she told Ridge basically the same thing, and even slapped him! Everyone was so happy to see her finally take back her self worth however, just a day or 2 after, she was back to begging Ridge. Quite disappointing.
