Daphne is correct — Katie launching her new fashion line under the name Logan gives her an edge in the industry. Maybe that was Katie’s intent??

I agree with most of what you said.
When it comes to the Logan name, Brooke didn’t have that in the fashion world. She emphasised the Forrester at the end even when she wasn’t married to any of them.
Katie has every right to use her own surname!
There is no Logan line at Forrester and no one is going to think of Brooke because she’s at Forrest and married to a Forrester!
Eric is correct it’s Katie’s name too and she has every right to use it!
I don’t like Brooke’s sense of entitlement and her condescension to Katie.
BBFAN, Brooke Logan is a household name in the fashion world. So to discount that fact is being disingenuous.

DeleteThis episode almost made me forget how much I loathe Eric. Brooke makes me sick. She has slept with all the men to be in the position she has. Also, NO ONE in the fashion world knows Forester designs as Logan. There is no line named Logan. I seriously hope that Katie is super successful. Even though she was so annoying when she lived for getting Ridge to leave Taylor to marry the slut from the valley. And now she sees what her sister really thinks of her. I like Donna though.

DeleteI agree with you Soaps Canada. And boy did you notice how quickly Steffy hired inexperienced Dylan? After firing Deke, whom she claimed was not yet qualified enough for a designing job position...those Foresters' are something else.

DeleteShe didn’t hire her yet. She said she would talk about it with her dad. Can’t see where Dylan would fit in? She was a preschool art teacher not a designer. She couldn’t afford to keep Deke but now she can afford to hire this nobody?
DeleteThere is a big difference between hiring an artist to do bits and bobs at a lower pay rate, then a designer on a major line.
DeleteHFTF would just have the personnel needed for the relaunch. It was losing money and draining funds from other lines. They can’t afford any extra people that don’t add anything. At this point they have two excellent, seasoned designers who have put in the time.
Like Ridge said, Deke hasn’t even gone through an internship yet and he doesn’t have enough experience to qualify for that yet.
He told him try when he’s more seasoned. If he applied as an intern instead of trying to sneak in the back door he might have gotten hired on.
Apparently his designs show promise but aren’t at the level one needs to be at to design on a line at FC.

Now Ridge can’t blame Katie for taking him away from Forrester. She needs to get Sally Spectra back to complete her team. Sally appears to be unhappy with Billy on Y&R, so maybe she’ll come back.
