I just cannot get into this Hope/Thomas relationship..... truly makes me nauseated! (am not pro Liam, either!)

DeleteWith Ridge yesterday talking about Thomas and Hope being the next Forrester/Logan couple to run the company in the future, and with Steffy being hateful towards Hope like Stephanie was towards Brooke, I'm starting to wonder if Thomas and Hope are indeed the next "destiny" couple.

DeleteElle totally agree. The way Steffy is harping on Thomas and telling him he has to end it, and Hope is playing with him was over the top. She only needed to say her opinion once. Glad he mentioned that Hope told him she needed more time "before". Now he's calmed down, I think he will talk to Hope and hear what she is trying to say. And Brooke I thought was being compassionate, she knows he's hurting too. I just hope she repeats what Hope told her, that she loves Thomas, wants a relationship and future with him but is not ready for the comment of marriage. They will work it out if everyone else buds out.

DeletePeople are routing for Hope and Liam because of their history and because he was inserted in the show as Hope real first love interest. But if you look closely, one can notice that finally, Hope and Thomas also share a very long and complex history that is set to tie them for the long run. After everything Thomas did to Hope in the past, it's almost a nonsense for someone to be as forgiveful as she was but in a way, that's what finally got Thomas to genuinely change. It's like hurting someone a hundred times for no reason and a hundred times the answer from that very person is compassion and forgiveness. I think that's what moved him and that's why he is so hung up on her. She just gave him something he didn't deserve from her (as many people may think, I included) but the one thing that could change someone as deeply disturbed as Thomas was... that same thing that sheila was looking for and have never been lucky enough to experience, except with Deacon
Well said Yo! And I'm thinking this is the first time she's feeling real love. Liam was always pushed on her by Brooke, and look where that went. That's what I have seen since I started watching.

DeleteI agree, Elle. They just have to get over this hurdle of Hope not being ready for marriage and Steffy trying to mess things up. They'll get back on track and probably get engaged. Then there will be some other obstacle. Then they'll eventually get married, then something else will come up, etc. etc.

ReplyDeleteWow Steffy is quickly turning into a (dare I say it?) favorite in this sl. She gave Thomas a healthy dose of reality. You need to think about your sanity - no truer words. I also really liked how she asked what Thomas would advise his son if he was treated like this. I don't suppose it will work, Thomas has always clung on to Hope like a barnacle and probably always will, but Steffy's words were spot on.

DeleteColly "this way" is a caring way that Steffy is acting with Thomas. She is trying to shake him into reality and coming from a place of concern. When she is coming from a nasty hateful place towards people she doesn't care about, then of course I don't condone it.
DeleteLynn yes I was almost surprised how mellow Brooke is. I hope she doesn't turn into a Thopie herself. She probably will tell Thomas that Hope is so sad about their breakup/fight and really doesn't want to lose Thomas.

She is just really concerned about her brother, which is completely understandable, because it did seem in the beginning that Hope was just using Thomas to boost her own ego.. I even thought the same thing!! But it is evident now, that Hope truly does love Thomas, but is just not ready to commit to marriage, which is also understandable.. I think Steffy’s heart is definitely in the right place, however, she should give Hope a chance to explain why she can’t accept Thomas’s proposal just yet, and Steffy should be able to understand why, and also understand that Hope asked Thomas to be patient and give her the time she needs.. But it is really hard , when you see someone, your sibling that you are so close to, and you know how hard they have worked on themselves to better themselves, so hurt and heartbroken.. My sister and I are as close as siblings could possibly be, and if anyone hurt my sister, well they better run for the hills, and run fast!! 🤣🤣🤣 There’s nothing I wouldn’t do, or give for my little sis!! And Steffy is his big sis, so I can absolutely see where Steffy is coming from, and why she is so protective of her lil bro, particularly with Thomas’s past and knowing both how long and how much he has loved Hope, and how far he has come, to be the good person he is today!! She doesn’t want to see him backslide.. Come on Milla, don’t tell me you didn’t melt a little when you saw the look on Thomas’s face when he asked Brooke if he has just been a fool and if Hope truly loves him!! 🤣🤣🤣 you can admit it you know 🤣🤣🤣

DeleteColly 🤗🤗 Someone mentioned that Steffy would be equally pissed if Hope had said yes because she doesn't believe Hope will ever love Thomas (enough) to want to commit to him. After all, Hope's known for decades how he feels about her, it was never enough to make her fall in love (until supposedly now). I also wouldn't believe if I were Steffy. Plus she remembers the last time when she supported their marriage, she was even maid of honor and that went to hell.
DeleteAnd of course I melted a little when I saw his face asking Brooke of all people 🥺 Thomas is so brilliant at making us feel all the feels when he needs to. But still I honestly don't know why he is pushing so much instead of enjoying what he already has. One year ago Hope wouldn't touch him with a 20ft stick and now says she loves him and wants to be with him. Doesn't he realize how much he has achieved? What would a marriage certificate change? If she wants to leave him, she always can even if married, Carter the Annulator will get her out 😂
Hope makes no sense because a marriage is OBVIOUSLY NOT a forever commitment. And she could put the ring on her finger and take some time to plan the wedding since she loves Thomas so much.

I just read the summary. I can't imagine being so involved in my sibling's romantic relationship. Hope and Thomas will work it out. Neither one of them wants it to end permanently. They're not just going to walk away.
ReplyDeleteRen I actually think Thomas might take a step back from Hope, which I think would actually be a good thing, then she can have the time and needs to work out what she really wants and realise she wants Thomas in her life and end up ready to accept his proposal!!
DeleteColly, agreed. Thomas might walk away temporarily, but they're definitely in for the long haul. The writers didn't go to all this trouble to reform Thomas and put him and Hope together just to split them up and have him backslide. They're the real deal.

But it would be refreshing to see Thomas take a step back, and see Hope realise how lucky she is to have a man so devoted to her and love her the way he does!! ReplyDeleteI like how Thomas explained to Brooke why he proposed again, and I'm very happy that Brooke showed empathy instead of raking him over the coals.
For the life of me, I don't understand why Steffy is being so hateful. You would think that she has so much going on that her brother's love life would be of minimal interest to her. She acts like Thomas is so utterly fragile that he would just automatically revert to his old ways just because he got his heart broken. Geez.
Hope loves Thomas and Thomas loves Hope. I'm sure they'll work things out.

DeleteI think Steffy is being both protective, but at the same time unfair.. She is not listening to Hope, and just making assumptions, about what Hope is feeling, and you are right, she has a lot bigger things to worry about than her brothers love life!!
But I have a feeling that Thomas is going to take a big step back from Hope.. I think that would actually be a good idea, as that would help Hope to figure out what it is she really wants in her life, and some time apart from Thomas might make her realise that he is what she wants and accept his proposal?? Or not?? At least Thomas admitted he should have listened to her and given her the time she asked for.. He did say to her when you are ready put the ring on your finger, so why propose once again?? Unless this is all leading to a hope and Finn hook up?? Please no!!

Lynn, there are times I find Steffy overpowering, it all depends on the SL. So she gets criticized when its warranted. She is going over the top a little for me right now, but she is concerned about her brother. And has a right to be.

I know Brooke can be very opinionated and doesn’t hold back as a general rule. But she most often doesn’t seem mean in her approach. Steffy was just mean and hurtful to poor Thomas. That’s right….i said poor Thomas. Lol.
Since B&B was only renewed for 1 year, we may never find out the fate of Hope and Thomas.

DeleteDoesn’t Steffy have enough to worry about her own life than butting into her brother and Hope’s business? I can’t believe her assuming that Thomas would take her advice about his life, and then her blurting out to Hope that he is going to leave her. Hope needs to stand up to Steffy and to finally slap the hell out of her. Steffy’s own love life is hanging by a thread and especially with Liam hanging in the wings to blurt out about those kisses that she never told Finn about.

The only thing that could "potentially" cause him to completely and permanently lose control and go back to the dark side again would be for Hope, somehow, to end up with Finn and commit to him when it took him a lifetime just to get a kiss from her, not to mention that famous "I love you"😁😁
