DeleteI did too, Sissy. She was very reasonable and she was good about not bashing Thomas. I’m sure the Taylor fans didn’t like it because it made it much harder to bash Brooke this episode. I was somewhat worried that Brooke was going to bust into the guest house to stop it! But nope, she just sat back and kept her faith!! A very good moment for Brooke!

DeleteWell I am a fan of true love, and evidently the love of Ridge's life is Brooke and evidently Ridge is it for her, therefore true love should always win even though I can't stand how quickly Ridge runs away from Brooke the moment he thinks she has done something wrong. After decades of loving this woman he should no that Brooke would never do anything intentional to hurt him. Taylor, Ridge loves you, but I would say like one loves their best friend or maybe even like the mother of their kids. Ridge loves that you love him. But it's not the same as the one who holds your heart, the one you think about day and night, the one you will jump in the ocean without a second thought to save her life. Taylor if you truly loved Ridge, you would let him be with the one he truly loves. It's time for you to move on forever. Please Ridge will never love you the way he loves Brooke. Yes, she understood that Ridge still loved Brooke and accepted that, but it seems as though she did not believe that he would actually leave her to run back to Brooke. OH MY GOD !! how old are those children? 10?? It's not because of Brooke that Ridge and Taylor are not together!!!! It's because of Ridge and only Ridge!! If a man loves a woman and if this woman makes him happy, HE DOESN'T CHEAT OR LEAVE HER, HE STAYS WITH HER! Period!! If Ridge can't stay with a woman it's because he is e jerk, he has always been a jerk, right from the start! He cheated on Caroline with models way before he met Brooke, Bill Spencer Sr knew it and that's why he hated him. Ridge wants women to love him and fight for him while while he's in the stands watching the game, strutting around like a deer in heat! That's why, and Brooke, Taylor, Caroline, Katie, they all fell in the trap, only Taylor and Brooke are stuck in it. So Thomas should just stop with this neverending lie, Brooke is NOT the reason why his parents are not together, Ridge made a choice, he left his family to be with Brooke, nobody forced him, he dedided! Then he went back to her but Taylor "died" of tuberculosis, Ridge was a widower, he started a new life with Brooke who raised his 3 children with hers. But she came back from the dead and Prince Omar was to blame for her "death" because he kidnapped her. A man is not a toy or an accessory, he can't be stolen. Ridge always made his own decision and did what he wanted to do!

DeleteElle said she’d stop watching if Ridge dumps Taylor and goes back to Brooke. So we may not see her for a while. However, I will admit it took Ridge longer than expected to dump Taylor. The guy is riddled with guilt. But my guess is that even if he doesn’t try to get Brooke back immediately, he absolutely will in the next couple of weeks. He may need some time to decompress. Especially after he told Eric he just didn’t want to do any of this anymore.

The previews show Taylor “not accepting it.” I would hope you would have the same critiques of Taylor when (not if, but when) Ridge gets back with Brooke and Taylor doesn’t accept it. We are seeing a whole new side of Taylor. As I said, she is no longer running away. She’s clearly going to fight for Ridge even after he dumped her. And I seem to recall that’s what the Taylor fans got so mad about when it was Brooke who was doing it!!
That's exactly what I said Lynn. That I will only watch the show when Thope is on. And I will know when they're on from the spoilers. I've been reading some positive stuff. November sweeps appear to be quite promising.
DeleteAs for Brooke, she has ALWAYS gone after what she wants, no matter who gets hurt. She actually enjoys it. I don't know how you don't see that. Brooke is obsessed with destiny. She doesn't truly love Ridge otherwise, she wouldn't have cheated on him as much as she has over the years. She wouldn't have turned to Bill for comfort when she couldn't have Ridge. She wouldn't have disrespected Ridge by telling him that Deacon would always be welcomed in her home knowing how Ridge felt about him, and she wouldn't have sided with Carter and Hope in the takeover by justifying why they did it, then expecting Ridge to understand. True love for Ridge would make her stand by his side and support him at all times. True love for Ridge would make her respect his decision even if she was hurting. There's a saying "if you love something, set it free..." You know the rest.
Funny that Taylor went after what she wanted but it wasn't seen as love, it was seen as desperation although, she never acted like Brooke breaking up Ridge's and Brooke's relationship. Instead, she respected their relationship and acknowledged that Ridge loved Brooke. She didn't like it but she always chose to respect their relationship. Remember, it was Ridge who eventually came to her.
I also fully expect Taylor to fight for her relationship however, if Ridge decides that he truly wants out, I know that Taylor will respect his decision. She won't try to manipulate him, or guilt trip him, or give him ultimatums to come back to her.

And Taylor HAS NEVER respected Ridge’s relationship with Brooke!! Taylor and Steffy and Thomas were plotting for MONTHS trying to get Ridge to leave Brooke. Seems you have extremely selective memory.
Taylor never plotted to get Ridge to leave Brooke. She kept telling Ridge and Thomas to stop forcing the issue. What are you talking about? What plot did Taylor take part in?

Maybe that’s why I respect Brooke so much and dislike Taylor. Taylor is too much like Thomas - they are always the victims. They play sly games to get what they want. It’s sneaky and dishonest! And as I said, they are always the victims! It’s pathetic!

Even after he left Brooke and came to Steffy's thinking that he could just slide back in with Taylor, she told him that she was not going to sleep with him, only to awaken the next morning to Ridge in her bedroom smiling at her and with breakfast. The whole time, she refused to sleep with Ridge and kept telling both Thomas and Steffy that if she and Ridge decided to be together, it was going to be their decision.
I also remember Ridge inviting Taylor to dinner over at Eric's mansion and Brooke, having found out somehow, went over there to confront them where Ridge, not Taylor, asked her to leave. Ridge was the aggressor the whole time!
I also remember him going over to Steffy's talking to Taylor with regret about his actions and told her how sorry he was for all the years he ran after that... (referring to Brooke).
I also remember Taylor not wanting to get hurt by Ridge and leaving LA with Steffy where they went to Aspen. And who was it that followed them? Ridge! He made Taylor all sorts of promises and after running after her through the mountains and valleys (😂), he proposed to her!
I gave a LOT of details to prove that Ridge was the aggressor and it wasn't Taylor who was plotting. Now, if you can give me actual details of any plot Taylor was involved in to get Ridge, rather than a blanket "oh, she went along with her kids," then I would surely admit that she plotted.
As for the woe is me side of Brooke, she has mastered that to a T! How could Ridge do this to me? How could he run to Taylor? Ridge, you said you would make things right. How can you treat me this way? Even Hope had to tell her how pathetic she was being. I actually applaud Brooke whenever she stands up to Ridge. However, it never lasts long before she goes right back to her woe is me act to guilt trip Ridge into coming back to her.

Steffy tricked her dad into rushing home so he and Taylor could have a romantic evening together. I didn’t see Taylor telling Steffy to stand down. And Taylor would show up at the office (FC) so often that I started to confuse her with a piece of furniture!! She would constantly tell Ridge he was the love of her life. You're wrong, Lynn. Ridge had left Brooke after she told him that Deacon was welcomed in her house and Ridge didn't have a say in it. There was a physical altercation between Ridge and Deacon shortly after that, where Brooke came to Deacon's defense. That's when Ridge left. It had nothing to do with Thomas. CPS came long after that when Brooke went to Eric's to talk to Thomas about Hope and found him showing Douglas how to use a knife, then threatened to call CPS on him.
DeleteAnd Taylor coming to FC to see Ridge is the grand plot? Lol. Steffy's surprise dinner for her parents was all Steffy. Taylor didn't even know that she invited Ridge because just before she left the office, she invited him over to spend time with the family. Ridge knew that Taylor was going to be there. Taylor didn't know that Ridge was coming over. That was Steffy's plot.
Ridge pursued Taylor relentlessly because he wanted to, not because of Thomas. When CPS happened, Ridge went over to Brooke's (because he was not living there) to confront her about it but Brooke had no idea what he was talking about. After Ridge left, he went to Eric's where he was hit with the pinecone and that made him rush to Aspen. Make no mistake though, Ridge had been in pursuit of Taylor way before that.

She had one motive for going there daily - and that was to see Ridge!! She tried to disguise it by saying she was there to see her kids, but problem was….she was always following Ridge around like a puppy dog!! Once she even used the excuse of wanting to see her grandkids, but the grandkids were with the nanny! 😂😂😂 Taylor is needy, just like Thomas. And that’s why they are so close. They are exactly alike! Well except Thomas is more of a nut job than Taylor.

Like I said, Taylor was an extremely willing participant in all Steffy’s dirty plotting! Oh and no complaints from the Steffy fans when she was doing all that plotting. But the hate directed toward Katie for even discussing things with Brooke is off the charts!! Such double standards!

I'm a bit anxious to see what he does next as it seemed to me that breaking off his engagement was more a matter of conscience than his undying love for Brooke. Taylor was giddily happy and wanted them to elope. Ridge felt bad.

Elle, I admitted above it may be a couple of weeks before he pursues getting back with Brooke. But I don’t expect it to be longer than that. Good intentions or not, Ridge finds it mostly impossible to stay single for more than 5 minutes. I think the only time I ever actually saw him do that was when Brooke and Taylor became “friends.”
