Hope came in and actively pursued Liam and urged him to dump his wife and be with her. She got pregnant with Beth while Liam was still married to Steffy. He turned to Hope because he believed something that was false and jumped to conclusions without asking his wife. The moment he found out Steffy was innocent of the “$Bill office fake affair “ he couldn’t get back to Steffy quick enough. He had difficulty extricating himself from Hope and Brooke. Hope realized Liam was going to break their engagement and go back to Steffy so she stepped back to save her dignity.
In the end, Liam did exactly the same thing to Steffy that he did to Hope and visa versa. He never could actually choose between them and why would he? He got away with cheating and keeping one of them on the hook to feed his ego. He wants a back up plan.
Stop blaming everything on Steffy, Liam is responsible for stringing both of them along. By the way he always has a woman in the side (remember Sally, Ivy etc), he is not faithful!
In that toxic triangle all three of them have culpability. I’m just glad Hope and Steffy are both cutting Liam loose. No one deserves the way he treats them.

I have a different perspective on the Liam-Steffy-Hope triangle than most. First, let me say they all need therapy. Both Hope and Steffy use Liam like a ball they volley back and forth and Liam is foolish enough to let it continue. When things go wrong with one of them, where Liam is concern, the other decides it is time to move in and rekindle a relationship. Let me address Hope especially. She came to town to help Steffy and Liam get their relationship on tract and spent a lot of time pointing out to Liam How she is a much better person than Steffy. She then slept with Liam and became pregnant with Beth during this time. After the alleged loss of her 2nd baby, I understood the depression that she was going through. However when Liam was offering comfort and support, and even suggested therapy, Hope refused. She then proceeded to divorce Liam against his wishes and pushing him to move in with Steffy. As soon as the Beth revealed occured, she forgot all about Steffy and Kelly and it all about Hope and her family. Liam was not in favor of Hope adopting Thomas's son because we all know that he is obsessed with her but she overruled that. Next she made Thomas a designer at work and last but not least she did not warn Liam that Thomas stole a mannequin that looks just like her and was keeping it in his apartment. She made Thomas a much bigger part of their life although Liam was definitely uncomfortable with it. Hope is a selfish person who deludes herself that she is so good and what she wants is best for all. The Liam/Steffy interaction was also not healthy but definitely not in the realm with what Thomas has done over the years to Hope. Thomas's feeling for Hope is definitely not healthy, but Hope refuses to see the obvious. Would I want any of my friends or family to be involved with a man with his history, the answer is no. To redeem Thomas, the writers need to give him a new start with a healthy relationship.I feel sorry for Vinny because he did what he did because of his misguided friendship with Thomas and the years he spent listening to Thomas complaining against Liam and speaking of his great love for Hope.

He didn’t tell Hope any of that he just said that he told Steffy something like he loved her. Liam was sneaking around with Hope in his hotel room and in the dressing room at Forrester. Telling her loved her etc while married to his very pregnant wife, Steffy.
He kissed Sally on the jet as well as when they were trapped at Spectra. Liam lied about that too, an omission of facts is a lie! Did Steffy and Hope mess up, sure but at the end of the day, Liam has pursued them when they were with someone else. Begged them to come back to him. Told both women how much he loved and was devoted to them while saying the same thing to other person.
I think you hit it with Hope. She definitely needs therapy. She manipulates Liam mercilessly but beacause Steffy is overtly sexy she deludes herself into thinking she is superior. She always pushes Liam on Steffy when she is unhappy and coerces him to do as she pleases then pulls him back in when she is happy. Liam is a weak man. Both women are strong but Hope is definitely more cunning. Where her mother uses sex to get her men she uses her "good girl" facade.
Juliette you hit it the nail on the head...there is enough blame to go around no one here is innocent...they’ve all had a hand in it...I agree as well with your view on Thomas...given his history, which every character in this soap has...yes, even Brooke (big surprise) fans just get too opinionated and start judging who’s worst...back to Thomas his only redemption is to get a complete new love interest and work on that to show everyone how he’s making an effort to change...just an observation on my part, writers keep pushing Thomas and Hope together big mistake...Hope is just as much to blame regarding her and Liam...ease up on the man...Hope made very bad choices she didn’t have to be Douglas’s mom...what happened to single parenting and support from the Forrester family...also, come on there are other designers why Thomas...that’s all Hope not Liam...just saying!

Brooke has a Daughter that is a Doctor, I don’t think she needs anybody’s money! Where would the show be without them, it’s not Dynasty, where everyone was rich! I also think people that have a lot of money and born with a silver spoon in their mouths aren’t any better than someone who does catering for a living!
All the Logan sisters are millionaires! Between their alimony and what they got from Forrester (remember Belief) shares etc they have millions.
Hope did not have a prestigious name; however, she grew up in a mansion with nannies and anything her heart desires. She was handed a fashion line of her own as a teenager because her mummy was sleeping with the boss and demanded he give it to her.
Hope had ski trips to Aspen etc she was raised in a privileged lifestyle and continues to live rent free at the cabin. She has her trust fund etc.
The Forresters were expected to start out in the mail room, get a University education and earn their way in their respective positions at Forrester Creations.
Neither the Logans nor the Forresters are poor at this point they are all rolling in money.
Flo will probably be given a trust fund to match her new Logan surname. Not to mention the Spencer millions she’ll have when she marries Wyatt.
Actually, I feel bad for Shauna. She looked hurt that Flo would even consider changing her name. She raised her alone through a lot of hard work and sacrifice. So will Flo be Logan-Spencer then when she is married?

DeleteHope did not have a prestigious name; however, she grew up in a mansion with nannies and anything her heart desires. She was handed a fashion line of her own as a teenager because her mummy was sleeping with the boss and demanded he give it to her.
Hope had ski trips to Aspen etc she was raised in a privileged lifestyle and continues to live rent free at the cabin. She has her trust fund etc.
The Forresters were expected to start out in the mail room, get a University education and earn their way in their respective positions at Forrester Creations.
Neither the Logans nor the Forresters are poor at this point they are all rolling in money.
Flo will probably be given a trust fund to match her new Logan surname. Not to mention the Spencer millions she’ll have when she marries Wyatt.
Actually, I feel bad for Shauna. She looked hurt that Flo would even consider changing her name. She raised her alone through a lot of hard work and sacrifice. So will Flo be Logan-Spencer then when she is married?
That estate and house Brooke lives in, including the cabin, are hers alone! She owns all of that and has for many years, Hope grew up there!
