Hope is not some child or teenager. Hope is an adult. she can decide for herself if she wants to know her father or not. Liam's father Bill is far worse yet he is in Liam's and Beth's lives.
And let's not forget Thomas, he's no saint either. After all the things he's done to keep Liam and Hope apart and how he treated Douglas when he found out Beth was alive and told Liam...Liam and Hope still allow Thomas to be in his son's life. Liam is cool with Thomas being around his wife and Douglas but has a problem with Deacon?? Really, Liam?
Hope is a grown woman and I really wish she would stop asking for permission to see her father. I know Brooke isn't going to keep her from seeing him anyway. I just don't like all this crap about Deacon's feelings for Brooke and how he wants her in his life. Give me a break. I have liked Brooke but I will say that if she were to allow herself to get involved with Deacon after everything her and Ridge have gone through and the love she claimes she has for him I would look at her differently. I just hope the writers don't end up letting Deacon and Brooke getting involved. It gets a little old after while to have everybody cheating on everybody. There are no excuses for cheating. As I said, in the past, it wouldn't hurt the writers to have at least one marriage stay together. The writers aren't doing well in the morals department either by always having this stuff happen.
I agree with you Maddy...Hope needs to stop asking for permission to see her own father. If Brooke, Liam and Ridge don't like it...tough! Ridge hasn't been much of a father to Hope anyway so he shouldn't have any say in this. I think he's more worried about Deacon trying to get close to Brooke again. As for the writers, they don't care about morals. All they care about is ratings. If a character cheating on another character will get viewership up, the writers will go that route.

Beautiful ending today with Hope and Deacon. The thing with Sheila and Deacon having a "relationship" is ridiculous. Nobody is buying that. Deacon needs to cut his ties with Sheila and focus on building a relationship with his daughter and getting his life back on track. I know Sheila can figure out a way to get closer to Finn on her own. Jack is supposed to be coming back next week, so hopefully the truth about him being Finn's biological father will finally come out. Brooke needs to own up to her feelings for Deacon. She acts like she can't stand the guy but deep down I think she still loves him.

There is something incomprehensible, 3-4 years ago Hope, Brooke and Deacon had shared several family scenes (the time when Hope was married to Wyatt and her parents helped her move to the house from the beach after her wedding). I do not understand this nonsense and forget it in the past. And the fact that in the dialogues, it's like these things before been forgotten
Hanan, I was thinking that with all these characters coming back and all the flashbacks with Sheila, Donna and Eric, brook and deacon, it’s like the writers have gone back through the years, to see when their ratings were highest and now bringing them all back in hopes to raise ratings??
That's one of the things i don't like about this show. The characters seem to have amnesia when it comes to the things they've done in the past but want to act all high and mighty when someone else does something wrong. The writers think we're stupid like we don't keep track of all that has happened over the years with these characters.

Finn's mom could be anyone if Sheila really isn't. This is Sheila we're talking about. If she had fallen in love with Jack during their affair, she could easily pretend to be pregnant then steal a child to trap him. Or it could be that she really was pregnant but lost the child, in which case she would have stolen someone else's baby.
Before brook agrees to let hope give deacon a chance, ridge will walk in the door and kick him out, and talk brook into stopping hope from seeing him.. it would b upsetting if she gave into ridges demands after seeing and hearing hope with deacon..
