I suppose it’s just like most things in life, the lesser of the 2 evils. Hope is a great mom. She has proven herself to be. If Thomas wants to prove himself to be, that should happen gradually. And the final result should be 50/ 50 custody. Hope should not be “punished” when she’s been nothing but exemplary.
That is true. Hope is an underrated character, especially ever since this actress took the role. She's much more mature and selfless than the younger one who was so spoiled and all about me me me. This one is stable, devoted mom and a great partner to Liam. Not to mention much younger than Steffy and yet much more sane and able to see above her own pettiness.

And as much as Douglas may be “having fun” at the Forrester estate, there is a heck of a lot more to good parenting than simply providing lots of entertainment for your 8 year old son! This is simply another whimsical novelty to Thomas. Thomas is not grounded. He is flighty and erratic to say the least…and that’s just inherent in his personality. He’s always been very unstable. Like I've said before, this issue with Douglas needs to be handled by his parents. Everyone else just needs to butt out. Loved the conversation between Thomas and Hope today. Very mature and very reasonable. When Thomas told Hope that deep down she knew that Douglas needed his father, she couldn't say anything because she knows Thomas is right. She needs to stop thinking about what she, Liam and Beth need and start thinking about what Douglas needs. Douglas has a father. It's not right to keep them apart.

Elle, Hope did reply to Thomas and said she is thinking about Douglas. She knows how happy and well adjusted he is and has been under HER care. And Thomas admitted that was 100% true and how grateful he is for her taking of Douglas after he asked her to. Hope has every reason to believe Thomas will fail again. In the time I’ve watched the show, I’ve seen Thomas go back to his old ways too many times to even count. That’s just who he is!! It’s very clear that Brooke is 100% right. All Taylor wants to do is get all the chess pieces in place so she can 100% drive the line in the sand between the 2 families. She has as much said so herself. She also made it very clear to Steffy she was gonna fight for Ridge (a married man), so why would you find it even remotely difficult to believe that Douglas is just another puzzle piece for her?? Sure I’m sure Taylor loves Douglas. But there’s much, much more to it than that. Admit it, don’t admit it...doesn’t matter. We all know it’s true. To me Ridge is the worst character, fake Taylor is annoying, so much it's painful to watch (only one more annoying one is this kid playing Douglas, sorry but he's talent-free) but Ridge is so cocky so entitled and so unable to just stay with one woman and stop whining! Also the way his voice raises at some words it's supposed to be funny but it doesn't sound manly at all.

Steffy is just as revolting as her father, she`s very bitter and twisted, much like her mother and brother. Oh yes... that makes up pretty much the entire family doesn`t it?
I dread what Thomas will do to that little boy as soon as he becomes tired of playing daddy!!
Some of y'all are really passionate with your opinions. I still say give the guy a chance to have his son live with him. It's not like he wouldn't have several people nearby to check on him. It would be different if he wanted to move away with the boy. And I think people shouldn't look at it like a win or a loss for Brooke or Taylor. They should all be trying to get along.

Delete@Forever 36, sure maybe (if he can actually prove himself) give Thomas a chance. But that should consist of 50 / 50 physical custody. But that is NOT what Thomas wants. He wants to completely flip the script. He wants Douglas to live with him full time. That would completely upend the safe, happy routine that Douglas has gotten used to. And as much as Douglas may be “having fun” at the Forrester estate, there is a heck of a lot more to good parenting than simply providing lots of entertainment for your 8 year old son! This is simply another whimsical novelty to Thomas. Thomas is not grounded. He is flighty and erratic to say the least…and that’s just inherent in his personality. He’s always been very unstable. And in my opinion, not near enough time has passed where Thomas has actually proven himself to be any kind of a standup guy. It was just 5 minutes ago that he was conspiring with crazy Sheila to keep the secret about the champagne bottle deception. Thomas is extremely self-serving. Just don’t see that personality trait going away anytime soon!

DeleteLike I've said before, this issue with Douglas needs to be handled by his parents. Everyone else just needs to butt out. Loved the conversation between Thomas and Hope today. Very mature and very reasonable. When Thomas told Hope that deep down she knew that Douglas needed his father, she couldn't say anything because she knows Thomas is right. She needs to stop thinking about what she, Liam and Beth need and start thinking about what Douglas needs. Douglas has a father. It's not right to keep them apart.

When Brooke first came up to Ridge to kiss him while Taylor stood on the stairs, Ridge looked over at Taylor before leaning in for the kiss. What was that look about? Why did he hesitate?
Elle, Hope did reply to Thomas and said she is thinking about Douglas. She knows how happy and well adjusted he is and has been under HER care. And Thomas admitted that was 100% true and how grateful he is for her taking of Douglas after he asked her to. Hope has every reason to believe Thomas will fail again. In the time I’ve watched the show, I’ve seen Thomas go back to his old ways too many times to even count. That’s just who he is!!
DeleteIt’s very clear that Brooke is 100% right. All Taylor wants to do is get all the chess pieces in place so she can 100% drive the line in the sand between the 2 families. She has as much said so herself. She also made it very clear to Steffy she was gonna fight for Ridge (a married man), so why would you find it even remotely difficult to believe that Douglas is just another puzzle piece for her?? Sure I’m sure Taylor loves Douglas. But there’s much, much more to it than that. Admit it, don’t admit it...doesn’t matter. We all know it’s true.
I’m sure he looked up at Taylor cuz she was looking down at him. Simple. I’m sure it was an uncomfortable moment since Taylor got to see how things go with Ridge and Brooke. Especially since Taylor thinks Ridge is 5 minutes away from recommitting to her.
Ridge is so gross to me now. I have lost all respect for his character. He has none! He is a waffler and neither women would put up with that for 5 minutes in real life.
It didn't seem to me like Hope felt that Thomas will fail at raising his son. She wants Douglas to stay with her because she can't imagine her little family being ripped apart. She's thinking that Beth will lose her brother and Hope is insistent that her family remain intact!
DeleteThat is not what she said. She specifically addressed what she thought would be best for Douglas. She used those exact words. She said Douglas is thriving, loves his little sister and is very happy at Hope’s. Please address the elephant in the room. Why does Thomas feel it’s reasonable to completely upend the current situation? Why doesn’t he simply propose to Hope that they share physical custody?? I’ll tell you why, because Thomas is thinking about Thomas. At the end of all this Thomas is going to get tired and bored with the idea of his dad duties. He’s gonna fail. You can count on it.

They're giving him medicine to try to control them. They need to do more tests and surgery may be necessary to relive the pressure on the brain…

Brooke screwed her oldest daughter's husband and got pregnant with Dope. Brooke constantly put her own kids second because she always chose Ridge. People like myself that have watched B&B from the very first episode knows the entire history of the HOEgan's. It's too long to type. But you HOEgan fans have no room to badmouth Taylor, or her children. As far as Taylor shooting Bill, she owned up to it, and Bill didn't press charges because he has always cared about Steffy, and plus because Taylor thought Bill had raped Steffy. Brooke on the other hand never takes responsibility for anything. It's always somebody else's fault, or her destiny (eye roll). According to the HOEgan's, and their fanbase, they're the only ones allowed to lie, cheat, keep secrets, and attempt to kill someone.
