How Steffy and Thomas obsess about their parents relationship is just as bad as Taylor's lightening fast switch from cool cucumber to desperately clingy needy, "so in love," in 5 minutes must be a world record. Ridge should remember the constant touchy feely, hang all over him Taylor perfected move. Brooke not jumping Bill's bones or any guy she comes across is a mystery. Thomas and Steffy still talking about it after it's official makes them officially icky. Surely there is something out there they want to buy. Thomas' desire to gloat will make him give himself up on the message. When Ridge finds out at just the time he dreads Taylor's incessant gloming onto him. Then he'll go back to bitchey selfishness, even that is easier to take.
@Renee I was also so glad for Liam, at first I thought "what an idiot to see the bottle and not do anything about it" but then I liked how they played it. Suspense 👏🏼 I think Thomas and Hope was real, she was kind of being into him in their previous encounters. And now we can officially not worry about Katie moving on from Bill 😂👩❤️💋👨
Agreed Milla. The last time we saw Hope, she was up in Thomas' personal space, looking at him longingly and looking forward to spending the night over at his place. Even if it was not real, it could also be Hope fantasizing. But the way they looked at each other afterward, as if in shock, I am thinking the kiss was real.
@milia Wow two different couples kissing today 🔥🔥🔥. I guess Hope is getting bored with her Liam🛌🛌🛌(zzz). Though I what I won't like is when the truth comes out Thomas set up her mother, he will really lose not only Hope's trust but Brooke will make sure Douglas has full custody. Brooke is obviously NOT a strong woman to control her drinking, all it takes is something like this and she will be back on the bottle in NO time. As for Katie, there is NO love triangle there thats for sure.
@ Elizabeth, I disagree. Losing the love of your life is EXACTLY the kind of event that could push a recovering alcoholic over the edge. I’m not saying Brooke should drink, but I could see how something that traumatic could absolutely make her want to!!
@Elizabeth the outrageous part is the booze standing there within an alcoholic's reach in the first place. Exactly because they can get triggered at any time for any reason to think. And yes being left by one's husband is around the top of that list (if it even has any sequence at all). I don't really recognize Hope these days so I wouldn't be surprised even if she stands by Thomas after the reveal. Normally she'd rush to her place for her mom and not just sit there all "ah well, let's work aka try on dresses and make out".

Wait, wait, wait. I'm not going to comment on the kiss because it had to be a dream. I wonder how much of the scene was. I'm trying to understand how Hope would feel comfortable changing clothes in front of Thomas, a man she knows was obsessed with her, tried to kidnap her, and who has already told her he still loves her. I know it's B&B. Boundaries don't exist. Come on, though, why would Hope need to model the clothes? Plot point nonsense.
They have been showing Thomas and Hope bonding for some time now. We've also seen her stand in defense of Thomas against her mother and husband. And the last time they were together, we learnt that she has not been coming home to her husband but spending the night over at Eric's. None of that was a dream or imagined. It was real. It's not plot point nonsense. This has been building for a while now.
More recently we also saw Hope get angry with Thomas for trying to push his parents back together at Brooke’s expense. Hope has been defending Thomas when it comes to Douglas, but not his other behavior. It has to be a dream! If it isn’t, I will change my opinion of Hope. She knows better!!!
Lynn, she was angry for 2 seconds until Thomas told her how he and Steffy felt growing up with Brooke inserting herself into their family. Some time after that, we saw Brooke and Hope having a conversation about Brooke's role in coming between Ridge and Taylor where Brooke admitted to doing so. And Hope did not look very pleased about her admission.
We saw her get angry then she backed down when Thomas told her about how he, Steffy and Phoebe felt every time Brooke insinuated herself between their mom and dad. Some time after that, Brooke and Hope had a discussion about the role Brooke played in the demise of Ridge and Taylor. Brooke admitted to coming between them and we saw a look of horror on Hope's face toward Brooke. Also, Hope defending Thomas' ability to father Douglas is synonymous with defending Thomas. She believes that Thomas is being a good father because she believes that he has changed.
She believes Thomas has changed in his ability to a good parent. But I don’t think she necessarily trusts him as far as she is concerned. I don’t know what episode you are referring to when you talk about a “look of horror” on Hope’s face with regard to Brooke taking Ridge away from Thomas’s family. I don’t remember ANY look of horror on Hope’s face. Lol.
I don't remember ever hearing that hope had been sleeping at Eric's house. What episode was this said and who said it? I've read that several times on the blog, but I never seen it or heard it on the show.
@Hilary It was the last time we saw Hope and Thomas at the office before today. The episode where Hope walked in on Thomas changing his shirt after he spilled coffee on it. Hope was leaving and Thomas said that he will see her at the house later. She told him that she was looking forward to it. After that, in a scene with Brooke and Liam, Liam told Brooke that Hope has not been home in 2 nights. That she was sleeping over with Douglas at Eric's.

Can’t remember, but when Hope went to her mothers afterwards and told Brooke how she defended her to Steffy and Thomas, Brooke said oh thank you honey, then Hope said, I mean when is Steffy and Thomas going to get it through their heads, that you are not responsible for Ridge leaving Taylor for you, something along those lines, and Brooke was very smug, with a slight grin on her face , and gloated that maybe she was responsible, and then lied and said, but i didn’t do anything sly or underhanded, which was bull!! The look on Hopes face , she was NOT impressed.. She basically made a big of a fool of Hope..
Also, she didn’t get angry “at” Thomas, she was already angry at Steffy, but she turned to Thomas and said, my mother believes you are using Douglas to cause a rift between her and Ridge, to which Thomas told Hope that him wanting to step up and be a good father to Douglas has nothing to do with Brooke, then Hope settled down..
@Elle The plot point nonsense I'm referring to is Hope changing clothes in the same room as Thomas, not their bonding overall. Hope regards him as someone who is trying to change for the better and is a good father. She appreciates that he looks out for her but right now she loves Liam, has for years and years.
He's already admitted that he still loves her, so yes, committed Hope dropping her guard down enough to change clothes in the same room as Thomas is a plot point. Hope staying in the office instead of rushing to look after Brooke is a plot point. None of it is in keeping with how the characters has been shown to be onscreen.
If you support Thomas/Hope, that's your business. I'm only against them if Hope cheats to be with Thomas or he continues to try to play Hope. One partner constantly duping the other is not cute.
Colly, it was not a look “of horror” on Hope’s face when Brooke told her that. At best, it was a look of surprise. And I absolutely remember Hope raising her voice at Thomas at the office a week or so ago when he was discussing with Hope how he wanted his parents back together. She was absolutely annoyed with him. But she was more annoyed with Steffy. And Steffy and Hope had words during multiple episodes.
No it wasn’t a look of “horror “, but she was not happy, to say the least Lynn.. She just went up against Steffy and Thomas , saying her mother didn’t come between Ridge and Taylor, then Brooke admits she did.. I can’t imagine what a fool Hope must have felt.. I'm just imagining an unhinged Steffy's reaction to that bit of news. She might go from love to hate in about .2 seconds. I won't be surprised when she eventually acts that way with Beth, despite having loved and raised her. After all, at one time Taylor and Hope had a good relationship. You see Taylor isn't even Jack's mother anymore, in part because of his connection to Brooke. It's all so insane considering Steffy's first love, Marcus, was a Logan and other than Finn, he's the only man who always treated her like gold. After her relationship with Rick, though, and when Ridge went back to Brooke after the last failed Tridge wedding, after the Brooke/Thomas sex lie was revealed, that's when she became anti-Logan.
oh melissa is that how Finn might end up being Brooke son and not Sheila. cause i saw that on a youtube short clip video about Finn might be Brooke's son and it didn't make since to me how Finn could be her son instead of Sheila. this must have happened with Brooke and Eric before I started watching B&B which was in 2012 or 2013. that year i started watching B&B i didn't know who anyone was and their names yet till a couple of episodes later. the episode i started that year in 2012 or 2013 was when Eric's then wife Stephanie if i am correct ,was dying and Brooke was outside on a bench with Stephanie talking and Stephanie died with Brooke their beside her on the bench. and the other Ridge was on there.thats the first episode i saw when i started watching B&B in 2012 or 2013.
after watching todays episode and hearing carter tell katie that Quinn left him i googled the actress who plays Quinn which is Rena Sofer to see if she was leaving the show as Quinn.and it did. it said she had to leave B&B cause her contract ended in may but they didn't notify her till later on about it. so thats why the episode was like it was today with carter telling Katie Quinn had left him .

Brooke should call a sponsor or some AA buddies. Or maybe Donna. Your son-in-law should NOT be your shoulder to cry on. And it doesn't seem plausible that after Quinn rushed to stop Carter and Paris' wedding, she would fall out of love so fast, and leave town. If the actress wanted to leave the show, they should have recast the character. And Katie has obviously been wanting Carter for a while. She jumped on him real quick. If that kiss between Hope and Thomas was real and not a fantasy, Hope needs to run home and make love to her husband immediately. And now she knows she needs to be careful around Thomas.
Forever 36, I completely agree with you about the Quinn story that Carter told. Quinn was soooooo in love with Carter…there is no way it would have gone down like that unless something really major happened. It would have been more believable if she would have been killed in a car crash. I think the reason he gave for her leaving w was really lame.
I seriously hope the Hope / Thomas kissing scene was a dream! I will continue to say that Thomas is crazy and remains obsessed with Hope. That fits his profile for sure. But if it wasn’t a dream, then I will lose A LOT of respect for Hope. But I won’t “blame the writers” for Hope’s kiss. I really do think it was another Thomas fantasy though.

However, I will say this - Liam is the better person to be there for Brooke right now. All Brooke will hear from Bill are derogatory comments about the dressmaker or poser and he would just want to urge Brooke to not shed a tear over that clown. Liam however, will be more understanding and would just listen to her because that is who he is. He is quite caring. I think that is what Brooke needs rather than Bill's harshness.
Logan lady’s, hate to say it, but I think it might happen!! I agree with you Elle, about Liam being the better person to be there for Brooke, as apprised to Bill.. And that’s one thing I do like about Liam, probably the only thing, actually, is that when it comes to the crunch, he is a very caring and nurturing personality, and love his humanitarianism when it comes to animals!!
But Brooke doesn't need to shed more tears over the dressmaker! We could fill an ocean with them already. @Colly I said before that to me the Katie part was tying a loose end, a way to free up Bill for Brooke. I don't think Bill's feelings for her are what Ridge's are for Taylor. Besides that, for me stable on this show is very relative and not what I'd measure it in real life. If we had a completely devoted man who never looked anyone but 1 woman, he just wouldn't be in the show. Or do you see anyone actually stable here? 😂 I think the last one was Markus, do you remember him? He was a one-woman man all the time. Not even Wyatt who is the second very decent guy I've seen recently was always perfect. So the "stability" bar is low and yet most men fall way shorter than Bill. His presence, his demeanor, his speech, his humor and mostly his passion for Brooke only when he was with her is why I want them to get together asap.
I do not see Bill as stable. Beside his back and forth between Katie and Hope, isn't he also showing interest in Li? And aside from that, the man is not beneath doing criminal acts to get his way. Why put Brooke with someone like him? Like Ridge, Brooke needs to be by herself for a while. She also needs to attend some AA meetings and, while she's at it, see a psychologist to help with her warped sense of perception and her idea that Taylor is after her.

I have to say, I did feel for Brooke in that last scene.. And kudo’s to Liam for sending Bill away, the predator that he is.. it was exactly like when he ran to Steffy after she found out Liam kissed Sally.. Liam knows his father very well.. but I can still see a kiss between Brooke and Liam coming.. I hope that kiss was real, wow those two have awesome chemistry.. But, it will be ruined by what Thomas did with the CPS thing.. Typical.. Just when they get them to that point, they ruin it!! As for Hope finding out Ridge left her mother, I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but Hope didn’t seem that overly concerned about her mother.. She could have left that till the next day!! I think she is enjoying being around Thomas now they have been getting closer.. But you would think she would run to her mother, like Bill did!! She barely got in the door before he was knocking..

I think Thomas destroying Brooke’s marriage because she mentioned calling CPS (but didn’t) or how grandma went to discuss with Thomas how Douglas should be coming home (just like Thomas said he would do when he first took Douglas - he said he would return him THE NEXT DAY) are NOT justification for destroying Brooke’s marriage! And if you think Thomas has been on the straight and arrow for years, then it’s been literally a decade in Soap time since Brooke has slept with someone’s husband or anyone else other than Ridge! I have been watching continuously for 4 years and Brooke has NOT slept with anyone other than Ridge. So that’s at least 10 years in Soap time. And I’m not sure how many years she had been faithful to Ridge before I started watching the show.
No Colly, Brooke hasn’t stopped sleeping with other men the last few years. It’s been a decade in Soap time - just like I said. Since my 4 years of watching this show I have seen Thomas do all kinds of crazy shit! I have listed those things on multiple occasions. I will list them again if you insist. So if Thomas has been good for a few years, then it’s been a decade for Brooke! Just like I said above.

Seriously though, Liam seems to be genuinely concerned for his mother-in-law and probably feels that Bill is NOT the right person to be around Brooke right now. Plus, he may also be thinking about how Katie would feel. If they end up kissing or sleeping together, it would be because they are both vulnerable at the moment. Liam because his marriage is strained due to this whole Thomas/Douglas affair and Brooke because she just lost her husband.
@Elle if Liam is that thoughtful of Brooke, Katie i would expect him to be thoughtful of his marriage too and not risk by making a move on his mil. But you are right and very objective noting it would be because of vulnerability. And especially if it comes out Hope was kissing Thomas. That would really crack the marriage (though not as bad as him when he slept with Steffy before she got pregnant with Hays)
I agree, he really did seem genuinely concerned about Brooke, plus, he didn’t know what happened straight away, so he was probably worried that Brooke might cave to Bill, because she is upset, and that’s what happened last time when they kissed.. Brooke does have a habit of getting too much comfort when she’s upset!! And that’s typical behaviour from both Brooke and Liam when they are having issues in their marriages..
@Colly: But isn't this a behavior in others like Ridge and Steffy too? Not saying it's excused for Brooke and Liam, but we have seen many other examples not to say it's typical only for them. It's a classic for many soaps actually not just this one.

Ridge should remember the constant touchy feely, hang all over him Taylor perfected move. Brooke not jumping Bill's bones or any guy she comes across is a mystery. Thomas and Steffy still talking about it after it's official makes them officially icky. Surely there is something out there they want to buy. Thomas' desire to gloat will make him give himself up on the message. When Ridge finds out at just the time he dreads Taylor's incessant gloming onto him. And the last time they were together, we learnt that she has not been coming home to her husband but spending the night over at Eric's. None of that was a dream or imagined. It was real. It's not plot point nonsense. This has been building for a while now.

Some time after that, we saw Brooke and Hope having a conversation about Brooke's role in coming between Ridge and Taylor where Brooke admitted to doing so. And Hope did not look very pleased about her admission.

Hope was leaving and Thomas said that he will see her at the house later. She told him that she was looking forward to it. After that, in a scene with Brooke and Liam, Liam told Brooke that Hope has not been home in 2 nights. That she was sleeping over with Douglas at Eric's.

ReplyDeleteI'm just imagining an unhinged Steffy's reaction to that bit of news. She might go from love to hate in about .2 seconds. I won't be surprised when she eventually acts that way with Beth, despite having loved and raised her. After all, at one time Taylor and Hope had a good relationship. You see Taylor isn't even Jack's mother anymore, in part because of his connection to Brooke. It's all so insane considering Steffy's first love, Marcus, was a Logan and other than Finn, he's the only man who always treated her like gold. After her relationship with Rick, though, and when Ridge went back to Brooke after the last failed Tridge wedding, after the Brooke/Thomas sex lie was revealed, that's when she became anti-Logan.

And it doesn't seem plausible that after Quinn rushed to stop Carter and Paris' wedding, she would fall out of love so fast, and leave town. If the actress wanted to leave the show, they should have recast the character. And Katie has obviously been wanting Carter for a while. She jumped on him real quick. If that kiss between Hope and Thomas was real and not a fantasy, Hope needs to run home and make love to her husband immediately. And now she knows she needs to be careful around Thomas.

Quinn was soooooo in love with Carter…there is no way it would have gone down like that unless something really major happened. It would have been more believable if she would have been killed in a car crash. I think the reason he gave for her leaving w was really lame.

But if it wasn’t a dream, then I will lose A LOT of respect for Hope. But I won’t “blame the writers” for Hope’s kiss. I really do think it was another Thomas fantasy though.

DeleteI know Brooke is in a very vulnerable state right now. She’s a wreck for sure. But yeah, I will be bugged if she kisses Liam. I will be less bugged if Hope actually kissed Thomas because Liam’s time with Steffy in the hospital pushed the edge of the envelope in my opinion.
It just makes no sense to me that Hope would kiss Thomas because she seems so over the top dedicated to Liam. And she wasn’t remotely attracted to him even when she married him in order to be Douglas’s mom.

I also am very disappointed with the way they wrote Quinn off, totally unbelievable after everything she went through to be with Carter. Liam however, will be more understanding and would just listen to her because that is who he is. He is quite caring. I think that is what Brooke needs rather than Bill's harshness.

If we had a completely devoted man who never looked anyone but 1 woman, he just wouldn't be in the show. Or do you see anyone actually stable here? 😂 I think the last one was Markus, do you remember him? He was a one-woman man all the time. Not even Wyatt who is the second very decent guy I've seen recently was always perfect.
So the "stability" bar is low and yet most men fall way shorter than Bill. His presence, his demeanor, his speech, his humor and mostly his passion for Brooke only when he was with her is why I want them to get together asap.

And kudo’s to Liam for sending Bill away, the predator that he is.. it was exactly like when he ran to Steffy after she found out Liam kissed Sally.. Liam knows his father very well.. but I can still see a kiss between Brooke and Liam coming.. I hope that kiss was real, wow those two have awesome chemistry.. But, it will be ruined by what Thomas did with the CPS thing.. Typical.. Just when they get them to that point, they ruin it!! DeleteSeriously though, Liam seems to be genuinely concerned for his mother-in-law and probably feels that Bill is NOT the right person to be around Brooke right now. Plus, he may also be thinking about how Katie would feel. If they end up kissing or sleeping together, it would be because they are both vulnerable at the moment. Liam because his marriage is strained due to this whole Thomas/Douglas affair and Brooke because she just lost her husband.
@Elle if Liam is that thoughtful of Brooke, Katie i would expect him to be thoughtful of his marriage too and not risk by making a move on his mil. But you are right and very objective noting it would be because of vulnerability. And especially if it comes out Hope was kissing Thomas. DeleteI agree, he really did seem genuinely concerned about Brooke, plus, he didn’t know what happened straight away, so he was probably worried that Brooke might cave to Bill, because she is upset, and that’s what happened last time when they kissed.. Brooke does have a habit of getting too much comfort when she’s upset!! And that’s typical behaviour from both Brooke and Liam when they are having issues in their marriages..
Delete@Colly: But isn't this a behavior in others like Ridge and Steffy too? Not saying it's excused for Brooke and Liam, but we have seen many other examples not to say it's typical only for them. It's a classic for many soaps actually not just this one.

He said he loved her but his actions certainly weren’t showing it. It’s funny, when he was with Brooke he was thinking about Taylor and the kiss in Monaco, now he’s with Taylor he’s thinking of Brooke. Ahhh the waffle king, maybe he should start a brekkie bistro 😂.
