It's the way it is here, I also don't understand it because to me it also becomes mind-numbing chewing on the same old stuff over and over, but now I skip it and I think other Brooke supporters are also moving on from the arguments. Who cares if Brooke has been married 50 times? I don't see it as a shortcoming at all, it's part of the show, her behavior is the reason we even have most of the younger characters around. And Milla, I noticed something on today's (Tuesday's) show. Brooke talked about Deacon and Bill being important parts of her past. Despite the mistakes she made, she owns her past, so I don't know why people get so bothered by it when we bring it up. Brooke seems to be quite okay with it.

Well on Monday's show, when Ridge came over to get his things, Brooke was the one that was saying that Ridge was going against the vows they made to each other. She kept going on and on about the vows when she herself does not respect the vows she made to her husband. And we are not just talking about the vows to be faithful to each other but also to support each other, be kind to each other, be patient with each other etc. And Brooke CURRENTLY does not do any of that. She is always going against Ridge. Yes, Ridge has moved on to another woman, but Brooke also does not respect her vows.

I hate the way Taylor acts like a giddy teenager. Ugh. And Deacon, give Brooke a moment to dry her tears and collect her thoughts. Ridge just told her once and for all that it's over. Hope should not have encouraged Deacon to do that so soon. And I don't want to sound like arrogant Bill, but what does Deacon have to offer Brooke? Not to mention that batshit crazy roommate at his place. He doesn't even have a bedroom. He's got a sofa that pulls out into a bed. It would be nice if the writers could show him trying to become a manager at the restaurant and taking some college courses. Show that he's trying to become a better person. He has potential to be an interesting longterm character, if he can just get rid of crazy Sheila without getting taken down with her.

I think the proposal might have been Hope's idea. She probably senses that Bill would come sniffing around her mother so she decided to push her father to have the first chance at reuniting with Brooke. But just like with Steffy, she is setting her dad up to be disappointed. There's no way Brooke will accept his proposal.

I read that "a couple will rush to the altar like there's no tomorrow" and at first thought it would be Ridge and Taylor but now it seems Brooke may in her sorrow decide to go with it. Which will only prompt the Sheila story to finally get a development 😀 very exciting storyline to me!
I believe Deacon is genuine in his feelings for Brooke. And Sheila knows it. That's why she became so bothered when Bill divulged that Brooke was once again single. Imagine both Sheila and Bill being intertwined in this storyline as well.
I also think he genuinely loves her, but he's setting himself up for disappointment. Someone will find him out or Sheila herself will find a way to expose their dirty secret. I hope it's right on time for the "I do"s. There was also a "spoiler" that she would run away on his (not yet manifested) motorcycle 😂😂 but I'm skeptical about that one.

I like Brooke in a casual style she looked lovely today. KA looked more like her old self today and Taylor buying back their first wee place was brilliant!! Ridge said it. Some of the happiest times of his life were in that wee house with Taylor.

@ Elle, this is already a thing of the past because we saw on Tuesday’s episode she turned him down. But my answer would have been this….. Just because he (Deacon) hung around Brooke for a few minutes here and there before asshole Ridge put the hammer down, doesn’t mean Brooke wouldn’t want to “get to know him again” before she said yes to a marriage proposal. He’d been in prison for a long time. Of course she would want time to reconnect before she said yes to marriage. Uh, I can’t imagine it going any other way. So I am baffled by your question. But it’s moot now, because she shut him down.
Lynn, I had already commented above that there was no way that Brooke was going to accept Deacon's marriage proposal. My comment was directly related to you saying that Deacon should ask Brooke out for dinner first. They already share a history together which produced a child. And it wasn't a few minutes spent between them either. Brooke had given Deacon free reign to come and go as he pleased in HER house (that's what she told Ridge). Not because we did not see it onscreen (like y'all like to say) doesn't mean that Brooke and Deacon didn't spend more time together. Brooke and Deacon didn't just now meet and had to get to know each other. They already do! His marriage proposal, though ill-timed, was not inappropriate in the least given their history and the amount of time they had spent together before Ridge put a stop to it.
Elle, I completely disagree. We saw Brooke and Deacon together very very little before Ridge said he didn’t want Deacon at the house. Deacon spent quite a bit of time with Hope as he should have, but not with Brooke. And certainly not enough time to “get to know someone all over again” and commit to marriage. Not even close. If Deacon is a changed man, Brooke would need months of time with him alone for extended periods to see that for herself.
This is the same Brooke who told Ridge that she has been around Deacon and has seen changes in him and therefore has no issues with him spending time with Hope. The same Brooke who opened up her home to Deacon to come and go as he pleased? The same Brooke who told Bill yesterday not to call him 'convict'? The same Brooke who defended Deacon over her husband? What do you mean Brooke does not know whether or not Deacon has changed?
The only thing that can cause all the progress made between Deacon and Brooke is her finding out about him harboring Sheila.

DeleteWell on Monday's show, when Ridge came over to get his things, Brooke was the one that was saying that Ridge was going against the vows they made to each other. She kept going on and on about the vows when she herself does not respect the vows she made to her husband. And we are not just talking about the vows to be faithful to each other but also to support each other, be kind to each other, be patient with each other etc. And Brooke CURRENTLY does not do any of that. She is always going against Ridge. Yes, Ridge has moved on to another woman, but Brooke also does not respect her vows.

Hope should not have encouraged Deacon to do that so soon. And I don't want to sound like arrogant Bill, but what does Deacon have to offer Brooke? Not to mention that batshit crazy roommate at his place. He doesn't even have a bedroom. He's got a sofa that pulls out into a bed. It would be nice if the writers could show him trying to become a manager at the restaurant and taking some college courses. Show that he's trying to become a better person. She probably senses that Bill would come sniffing around her mother so she decided to push her father to have the first chance at reuniting with Brooke. He’d been in prison for a long time. Of course she would want time to reconnect before she said yes to marriage. Uh, I can’t imagine it going any other way. So I am baffled by your question. But it’s moot now, because she shut him down.
Lynn, I had already commented above that there was no way that Brooke was going to accept Deacon's marriage proposal. My comment was directly related to you saying that Deacon should ask Brooke out for dinner first. They already share a history together which produced a child. And it wasn't a few minutes spent between them either. Brooke had given Deacon free reign to come and go as he pleased in HER house (that's what she told Ridge). Not because we did not see it onscreen (like y'all like to say) doesn't mean that Brooke and Deacon didn't spend more time together. Brooke and Deacon didn't just now meet and had to get to know each other. They already do! His marriage proposal, though ill-timed, was not inappropriate in the least given their history and the amount of time they had spent together before Ridge put a stop to it.
