No kiss at Brooke’s, it was a hug (what Brooke wears in her house when she goes to turn off the candles is her business), and a big love statement of Taylor. You guys can twist yourselves into anything you want, but that doesn’t change what happened. And Taylor will get what’s coming to her. She can have a happy ending if she finally gets it through her thick head that she has no chance with Ridge.

How fair is this statement given that Brooke betrayed Taylor first by lying to her about how she really felt about Thomas? You seem to want to ignore that fact. It is what set this whole "getting back at Brooke" in motion. Taylor enjoyed her and Brooke's friendship and was very genuine about it. That was until she found out that Brooke lied to her.
So please don't try to represent Brooke as some paragon of virtue or having human decency when she was actively bad-mouthing her bestie's son while lying to her face. Taylor was deeply hurt by that and she kept repeating that she thought she and Brooke were friends. So yes, Taylor was also genuine about their friendship.

Fair enough, Elle. But given how hurt and betrayed Brooke felt when she spoke to Deacon and confronted Taylor, I believe Brooke’s feelings about the friendship were legit as well. In fact, I’ve heard Brooke tell that very thing to Ridge on at least 2 occasions. Brooke valued the pact.

Said "lie" is so insignificant compared to the active (though comically underhanded) attempt at sabotage by Taylor that I'm sorry but it looks like grasping at straws. So what that Brooke hasn't completely gotten over the fact that Thomas put her daughter through so many hells nobody can count?! She never said she has. She lied about how she feels about her son 😂 😅 so that means Taylor can go behind her back to two men and lie like the devil. That's one of the weakest defenses I've read on anything and I hope Taylor comes up with something stronger to say for herself on Monday.

They would be barking at each other about it at every chance. She was trying to focus on Taylor, apparently she saw something good about the friendship and her to try to put the concerns about Thomas aside. The friendship was real to her. Otherwise why would she pretend Taylor means anything to her? She could have continued hating Thomas openly and been at odds with her.

DeleteAnyway, my comment was in response to Mmysh saying that Taylor was not genuine in her friendship with Brooke. I was refuting her statement by saying that she was genuine and that it was only when she found out what Brooke said about Thomas that she turned on Brooke. She kept saying that she thought Brooke was her friend but she realizes that she can't trust her, that Brooke is the same as she has always been.
The Doc wants what the Doc wants 😀 I still believe that Brooke was feeling the friendship was real and that one may say that her keeping her reservations to herself (for as long as she saw no real danger) is a sign that she wanted the friendship to have a chance. It's the equivalent to putting your best foot forward in dating 😀

If Brooke knew that her feelings about Thomas truly hadn't changed, she could have spoken to her friend about it so that Taylor could have understood where she was coming from.
DeleteSame with Taylor. Rather than reacting to what Brooke did, she could have talked to Brooke about how she felt about her betraying their friendship. That's what true friends do. They don't lie to each other or go behind each other's backs.
I don't think Taylor was seeking revenge with her stunt and especially not on something like Brooke "lying" about her feelings for Thomas (Taylor can't have expected that Brooke will ever be really okay with him so close to her daughter.) She really does love Ridge and thought that's the way to go. Did you see her face when professing her feelings?
DeleteI think they both felt that the friendship was real however, they had been at odds with each other for so long that they reverted to old behaviour from the moment there was a sign of trouble in the friendship.
DeleteEven if Brooke and Ridge reunite, I hope we can see at least a mutual respect between the 2 ladies. Not sure why they feel they have to be at odds.
