DeleteI agree. There is no way Liam can blame this on Thomas. He saw Hope go in for that killer snog with his own eyes. But some will say, Hope still loves Liam dearly and to think otherwise is sad. I just hope Thomas stops and says whoa this is not right. You're married Hope. Something along those lines. Let Hope and Liam deal with with what he just saw. He'll be running for Steffy.
DeleteNo way does Hope kiss Thomas like that but still be in love with her husband. She may have love for Liam but, I'm afraid Liam's continued nagging might have done more damage than he (or even Hope) thought.
DeleteYes, she does love Liam and the family the have built together but I still don't think she is 'in love' with Liam anymore. Would you want to be married to a man, or woman, that wants to control your decisions in business or life? And it has to be their way or no way? Thats what Liam has been doing lately. Treating her like a child has pushed her away. She's been walking on egg shells for awhile now and Liam is the one to blame.

DeleteI also think there may be more to it considering three things - first there wasn't the dramatic music they always play when someone's nightmare happens. Second - it happened on a Thursday, not Friday. Third - Thomas didn't react *at all* startled or surprised by the kissing, he went for the kissing like someone's boyfriend would. Maybe Liam isn't imagining it but I hope there's more to it.

DeleteHope really went in for the kill and kissed Thomas. I'm pretty sure he knew that Hope may have been starting to have feelings for him, he just waited for her to make that move, since he knows that people can't trust him with his last encounter going after Hope when he wasn't all there.

DeleteI still would expect any facial reaction from him, at least the slight sign of being taken aback by an action out of nowhere and there was 0. That's not normal.
DeleteElle that reminds me of the time they showed Thomas fantasizing Hope kissing him, it looked so real that I was sure it happened. And in next episode it was revealed as fantasy. But this time I doubt - why would Thomas fantasy contain Liam?

DeleteBBFan, I was not saying Liam would fantasize about Hope & Thomas kissing. That is his worst nightmare. Liam has been mistaken before about Hope & Thomas kissing. Seeing them alone together in a romantic setting could have taken his imagination there for a moment & that may have been what we were seeing. Or, the kiss could have been real. We won't know for sure until they show us more.

DeleteThomas was so surprised and he has loved Hope for so long. I don’t think he’s thinking at all, just feeling and in the moment of having his dream of Hope in his arms being a reality, even if it is only for that moment.
💔💔💔Liam. Just when he was showing so much maturity and realizing his misses when it comes to his marriage. And specifically saying that he knows it pushed Hope away. Loved the music while he was looking for her. Such a gorgeous episode, the best one in so long despite all.
ReplyDeleteSteffy becomes so likeable when she opens herself to people, like she did to Hope today and when she welcomed RJ when he returned. And also when she says with such genuine warmth that Hope loves Liam. That's not easy considering their past. Amazing.
Damm that was good with Brooke and the keyhole 🥰🥰🥰 and she looks even more drop dead gorgeous with Rome as a backdrop. My romantic soul is sooo happy!
Milla, Steffy actually has a good heart. She’s come across as abrasive sometimes but it’s because she is straight forward. Finn was commenting on that as something he loves about her.

KKL looked lovely for sure. I just hate they are making her chase Ridge and putting them back into the very same toxic cycle over and over again. Nothing at all has changed. I wish people would stop pushing them together when they always come to the same sad end. It’s wishing more pain and misery on your sister, mum or bestie etc. Why???
I don't mind the directness of Steffy, but the tone, the faces she makes (particularly the over the top lip pouting) and the unnecessary b***h attitude are too much. But every now and then she blossoms with genuine goodness which can't remain unnoticed.

I am happy to know that Liam finally realizes that he wasn't the loving and supportive husband he should have been to Hope. However, it will be all for naught because now he will tell Hope that he was right all along to be concerned.
DeleteAnd by the by, how does Hope go from being sad about her husband's absence one minute to devouring Thomas the next? Makes her seem fickle.

DeleteI believe the kiss is real. With all of the back and forth Hope has been doing - saying she only loves Liam but having wild fantasies about Thomas; denying to everyone that she has feelings for Thomas but telling him he sees her etc.; and being deathly afraid to be like Brooke - I think Hope has reached the point where she has to face her truth. She can't go on lying to everyone. I think this is what the kiss might be about. Plus, her husband saw her with his own two eyes. She can't get away with lying to him anymore.

And it’s ridiculous for anyone to call us “haters” for our feelings about Steffy…because she truly is a bitch about 70% of the time! That’s not being a “hater”, that’s simply thinking a character on the show is generally a very snarky person! Which she is!!! But I agree, she acted kind today. Try more of that more often, Steffy and the nasty comments about you will stop. Until then, we will carry on with our opinions of her.

And specifically regarding Steffy - it would take so little to make her a more balanced and multi-faceted character. Just occasionally replace the tired "early 2000s queen bee/ mean diva" behavior with such genuine moments, which I'm sure come so much more naturally to the actress too. She can still be a strong character and an opposite to Hope. But her statement would actually be *more* powerful if not overshadowed by clichéd one-dimensional behavior.

DeleteBut I was referring to Steffy's overall demeanor which transcends storylines. That's not hate but an observation how the character can be improved to fit this day and age.
And may I remind that my comment started with complimenting her on how genuine she comes across in the moments I referred to. She is like a totally different person when she talks and acts like this.

DeleteAww, poor Liam. He's been very annoying for several weeks now; so whiney. But I really feel bad for him today. Now most normal real people would yell out: "Hey, Hope! What the hell"!! But this is a daytime drama, so that means he will turn and run. He can't just leave Rome without confronting them. Maybe he will go back to where they are staying and just wait for them. I may have to leave work early tomorrow so I can watch on tv instead of on my phone.🖥📱

DeleteWho on this show doesn't lie? I don't think Hope's lying was malicious because she wanted to truly keep her marriage on track but 1) her pull to Thomas was too strong, and 2) Liam wasn't making things easy for her. It's unfortunate but I do not think Hope is solely to blame here.
DeleteElle that's true but I think people (me including) get mad imagining the crocodile tears she'll be crying to Liam when it all comes out. How hard can it be to not kiss someone while you're married to someone else? Like Chandler said "you could have tried... Not kissing him." The same way I blamed Steffy for sleeping with Bill and Liam, the same way I blame Hope for kissing. The circumstances and all bla bla. You just don't do that. (That is with the disclaimer that it did happen and it wasn't someone's imagination or sth else)
DeleteI agree, M. I am finding her to be a little flaky, which I do not like at all but I still don't think she is being malicious.
DeleteI also think that while everyone knows of the long history between her and Thomas, they do not acknowledge that, despite the majority of it being bad, Thomas and Hope have been in each other's lives in a very intimate way. They also co-parent a son together. Their relationship is not conventional but I don't think that you can share such intimacy with someone without an attraction forming. This is why Hope seemed to be so confused by her feelings at the start, because she knew she should not feel that way about Thomas because of all that he did.
And yes, she is married to Liam so she should not have acted on it but hey, she had no issue cheating with Liam while he was married to Steffy. So it's not like Hope has not shown signs of immorality or lack of virtue in the past. Not that it's an excuse, of course. Just saying.
Plus, it's interesting that Hope is being held accountable by people for her actions in kissing Thomas (granted she actually did) while married but when Liam kissed and had sex with Steffy while married to Hope, Steffy got all the blame and Liam remains such a great and awesome guy! Hope kissed Thomas once compared to Liam who cheated on Hope over and over and over again.

I remember only saying that he had some (hilarious and lame and wtf) explanation thinking he saw what he saw, while Steffy didn't, she just happily jumped into bed with him and so cheated on Finn.
You'll see on the next episode I'm not blaming Thomas one bit. It's the person who betrays their love who is lousy. Steffy was lousy back then to Finn. Liam to Hope. Hope now to Liam. Why am I watching this crap?
DeleteMilla, we keep forgetting that while it was wrong of Steffy, she was in a dating relationship for a few months, whereas Liam was married!!! She told Liam to go home and talk to his wife etc. He chose to lie to Hope about where he was. He drank himself silly and they both slept together. Steffy is still getting the blame … she just happily slept with Liam.. you are still putting it on Steffy because Liam has a reason ( which actually he didn’t)

B&B is a soap. The whole point of all Hope’s fantasies has been she just can’t hold back anymore and she was hurt by Liam not being there for her, not even texting to wish her luck. Thomas was nothing but supportive and she didn’t want to stop herself this time. She has been very close to doing that before, this time she gave into her heart.
