ReplyDeleteOMG! That ending! Hope is so far gone. And when Thomas asked her if she loved the new design, did you see her hesitate, look at him then say "I do." Hope is completely in love with Thomas, even if she's not ready to admit it.
DeleteI feel sorry for her as well. Everyone is coming down on her and not believing her. I feel like there's going to be some romance in Rome for sure but it might not be with Bridge.
D, I feel sorry for Hope too!! Liam is driving her to be resentful of him, and both he and Brooks r treating her like a toddler!! And yes Elle, Hope is so far gone now, she can’t even lie to herself, never mind anyone else..

I'm really loving how committed Thomas is to his progress. I hope he doesn't regress. I really hope not.
Elle she just might do that especially knowing mommy dearest will be keeping a close eye on her. Thomas might even keep a distance so as not to do anything that could be questionable by Brooke.

Elle, Brooke didn’t invite herself, she just assumed she was going!! The way she is behaving today, organising “their” itinerary, it’s as though she thinks they are now automatically reunited.. I laughed at her reaction when Ridge questioned her inviting herself!! She is such an important part of the company, yet she doesn’t want Thomas to go, who happens to have the last name “FORRESTER” and is an HEIR to FORRESTER CREATIONS.. I am not sure who Liam and Brooke think they are to try to stop Thomas from going to Rome?? Particularly, considering there would be NO Rome trip if it were not for him..

DeleteToday, Ridge was so excited for Thomas and telling Brooke that everything will be fine when they go to Rome, and all Brooke could muster was "I hope so." That was her chance to come clean with Ridge and let him know how she truly feels about his son. Or, at the very least, she could have let him know why she has concerns - which is because Hope admitted that she has feelings for Thomas. But maybe she just prefers to put all the blame on Thomas.

I am surprised Taylor didn’t tell Ridge about how she felt Brooke broke the pact and about what happened when Hope said those horrible things to appease her mother.. DeleteNot only that, there’s NO WAY Brooke is going to be honest and tell Ridge she thinks Hope has feelings for Thomas!! That would mean she won’t be able to find a way to turn it around on Thomas!! And Hopes reputation as the wholesome girl next door, would be out the window!! Having said all that, I really do feel for Hope.. She is correct, she is only human, and this is the first time in her life she has ever felt this kind of conflict within herself.. She is so very desperate not to be viewed “as her mothers daughter”, and people accusing her of turning into Brooke, she has major internal struggles going on!! I wasn’t happy when said your turning into your mother.. I thought that was unfair of Steffy to say, but on the other hand, Steffy knows how deep Thomas’s feeling ran for Hope in the past, and he has finally made major progress that she is very concerned that it will affect him in a negative way if Hope sends him the wrong signals.. So I don’t blame Steffy for being concerned.. But I will be very unhappy if Brooke keeps attacking Thomas, when she has been listening in on their conversations and can clearly see that it’s not Thomas, but keeps attacking his credibility.. Which I would not put it past Brooke in order to protect Hopes marriage to Liam and Hope herself.. She doesn’t want a scandal and if Hope acts on her feelings, there goes her HFTF line also!!

DeleteI hope that doesn't happen, them being in bed together but I think with all the talk about Rome being so romantic and it being the city of love and all that, Hope's feelings will be amped up and it may finally cause her to come clean with Thomas about how she feels. DeleteHope told Brooke yesterday that she will never betray her marriage vows, or something along those lines. I think Hope will quicker divorce Liam than cheat on him. If they do Thomas/Hope right, we might have to wait awhile before they actually sleep together.

Hope continues to be confused and all over the place in her behavior and thoughts. But what was clear is that she PANICKED when she envisioned what could happen in Rome. That’s not the behavior of a woman who is in love with some other man. You ladies will be singing a different tune next week. So enjoy it while you can. Lol.

Hope is not confused, Lynn. She knows exactly what she's feeling. That panic you speak of is not about her feelings for Thomas, it's about her not wanting to turn into her mother. All of Hope's actions - spending more time with her husband, denying her true feelings for Thomas - are all about her not wanting to be like Brooke. She has said it time and time again. She also admitted to Brooke that she has feelings for Thomas and that she's only human. So, no confusion there.
DeleteI, too, don't want anything to happen in Rome. At least nothing like what Hope was fantasizing about. But something will happen indeed. Whether it's a kiss or Hope opening up to Thomas about how she feels, is left to be seen.
Elle, disagree. Hope is extremely confused. She’s 100% certain she adores her husband and loves him with all her heart. We all know that’s true and she has said it repeatedly. But at the same time…she IS confused because she has had thoughts about Thomas. She told Brooke she has it ALL UNDER CONTROL…meaning she doesn’t think those thoughts that have entered her mind are any cause for concern. She got mad at Brooke for assuming otherwise. Hope genuinely believes her actions are above board and she doesn’t understand why people (multiple people) have accused her of things (that in Hope’s mind) are NOT TRUE! She was reflecting on what Brooke said after Brooke left the office and that’s when it finally sunk in!!! She pictured Thomas making advances in Rome and then being intimate with him. And it completely panicked her because she knows that is NOT who she is!!!! So yes, what we saw was pure panic!!! It was not Hope enjoying some fantasy!! She literally said…Oh hell no!!! Or something to that effect after she pictured being with Thomas in Rome.

But what I’ve also said is this…if something does happen, Hope will regret it for the rest of her days and she and Thomas will NEVER have a romantic relationship!!! Not ever!!! Thomas has become interesting to Hope because of all the changes she has seen him make. She is truly impressed with his metamorphosis, but there is no way that will ever morph itself into a future relationship partner for her. Her intrigue with him would fade instantly if they were ever together, and she would realize immediately she had made a huge mistake!!

DeleteAnd all the Taylor fans who think Ridge is going to want Taylor back will also be in for a very rude awakening! 😂😂😂. That was by far the funniest prediction I’ve seen in a while on this blog. All you ladies seem to be predicting fallout between Ridge and Brooke over the Thomas discussions, but what Ridge really won’t put up with is Taylor’s imitation of a snake in the grass. Taylor’s future is looking more and more bleak as far as men are concerned. But yeah, it’s exactly what she deserves!

DeleteThe way Brooke feels about Thomas has always been a source of contention between Ridge and Brooke. Have we forgotten the CPS issue that caused Ridge to walk away from Brooke when he thought she called CPS on his "boy?" Brooke has watched Ridge (and Taylor) in his face and has told him that she sees the changes in Thomas but then, as soon as she's alone with Hope, she goes off on her about Thomas getting better at hiding his manipulations. She also admitted to Taylor that she cannot forget all the things Thomas has done. And just this week, Ridge was going on and on about how proud he is of Thomas and how much he has changed, and all Brooke said was "I hope so." So yes, it's not rocket science to think that Ridge will have an issue with Brooke lying to him about how she truly feels about his son. Ridge doesn't seem like he wants to return to the same old, same old with Brooke and this will factor into that.

DeleteElle if you read more carefully what I wrote to Lynn, it is about what is currently the situation between Brooke and Thomas. In the past he was openly hating and trying to sabotage her. She was reacting to that and ridge was defending Thomas, later admitting she was right. And „my boy“ was in the context of his frustration TO Thomas. Now there is reservation on her side, which is expected. Ridge will not flip out because Brooke is reserved. She did not LIE, never said she’s embracing Thomas or she’s not on alert.

DeleteElle, you are cherry picking here. You seem to be forgetting all the recent discussions when Ridge was absolutely furious with Thomas for the things he did. So much so that he wanted him out of the family business. It wasn’t Ridge who brought Thomas back, it was Steffy. It was not a “Board decision” as you were so sure about for weeks. It was Steffy’s decision alone. And Thomas was NOT well received by Ridge when Ridge first saw him. But Thomas turned on his sales pitch personality like he always does, and Ridge allowed Thomas another chance to prove himself. Brooke has voiced to Ridge on multiple occasions how upset she was that Thomas manipulated a situation to destroy their marriage and Ridge agreed with Brooke and was very understanding of how upset she was that that had happened. And Brooke has not been saying bad things about Thomas. Like I said, all she has been doing is ASKING Hope if he has made inappropriate advances toward her. Literally nothing else. You keep saying Brooke is saying all these bad things, but you fail to mention what exactly those bad things are. So please tell us what Brooke said. And multiple LF’s have already told you that Brooke telling Hope that if Thomas has said or done anything out of line, he will be kicked out is absolutely NO DIFFERENT than what Steffy or Ridge or any of his family members have told him. There’s absolutely no difference. The understanding since he has returned has always been that if he crosses the line with Hope, then he is OUT!!! All Brooke did was reinforce that fact.

Truth is…men fall in love with Brooke. Ridge did, Deacon did, Bill did. And even Hollis was really sad Brooke didn’t give him a shot. So your comment that “Brooke has been with every man” is not relevant. It’s how they feel about Brooke that matters. And Taylor simply won’t fill Brooke’s shoes.

DeleteLynn, regarding Ridge/Thomas/Brooke, I'm don't think I'm cherry picking. I will agree that Ridge was very angry with Thomas but how can you ignore all the praise that Ridge has been giving his son of late? He has said time and time again how proud he is of Thomas and all the changes he has made. Whatever issues they had in the past are right where they belong, in the past.
DeleteBrooke has said to Ridge that he has also seen the changes in Thomas and is "cautiously optimistic" about his progress. To turn around and say all the negative things she said about him goes against Ridge's belief that Brooke is being open-minded about Thomas. Yes, she asked Hope "if" he is being inappropriate or manipulative but the very fact that she can jump straight into blaming Thomas shows that she really does not believe that he has changed. It shows that she lied to Ridge and Taylor knowing that deep down, she didn't really believe that Thomas had changed. And yes, Steffy and Hope also said that if Thomas is inappropriate, he will be out of HFTF and the company however, they are not actively pursuing Ridge and saying that he is their destiny while lying to him.
The thing is, maybe nothing will come out of it however, there is a very good chance that it might since Brooke (neither Taylor) have told Ridge what really led to Brooke and Taylor's impasse. If Ridge and Brooke reunite, this just might come back to haunt Brooke.

DeleteSo why is Hope so certain that her thoughts about Thomas are of no concern? Why does she think that her thoughts about Thomas are under control? It has to be that she is CERTAIN about what those thoughts are and KNOW FOR A FACT that they won't be a problem.
Lynn, I cannot see Hope being confused about what she is feeling but being so sure that they are nothing. You are talking about Hope being confused about her thoughts, I am talking about Hope being sure about what she feels for Thomas. She is NOT confused about how he feels for him because she has said, most definitely (more than once) that she has feelings for Thomas and that she finds him desirable and that she is only human. How much clearer can she be?
Like she told her husband, she's not a child. Hope knows exactly what is happening to her however, she is trying very hard not to be her mother, which is why she is trying to hard to keep her marriage together.
Elle, in my opinion you absolutely are cherry picking. Ridge will never expect / nor does he think Brooke will ever be 100% sold on Thomas. I gave you an example with Deacon and Ridge to better illustrate my point some episodes back. Ridge will never fully embrace Deacon, who is now completely reformed, nor should he!! There isn’t some magic eraser that makes you forget all the terrible things a person has done to you and your family!! All you can do is your best to forgive, but you don’t forget!! I don’t always go back to old episodes to see if people respond. But last time I looked, you hadn’t addressed it.
DeleteThe thing is…like I said earlier…Ridge KNOWS Brooke will always be on the lookout for Thomas to revert back to his old ways. People in Thomas’ life would be FOOLS not to!!! And here’s why…Thomas has not screwed up once or twice or even three times! Thomas has REPEATEDLY over the years screwed up HORRIBLY time and time and time again!!!! And Brooke is NOT openly plotting against Thomas as he has done to her!!! She is simply keeping her guard up, just like I’m sure Ridge will ALWAYS do with Deacon!!! There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with that!! And I’m certain Ridge would be completely understanding of Brooke for feeling that way. You are trying to make something out of nothing with this stupid Brooke / Thomas thing. What’s maybe the most hilarious to me is that EVEN THOMAS is very understanding of Brooke’s and Liam’s concerns and apprehensions!! And Thomas says that very thing all the time!!! 😂😂😂. He knows full well the AWFUL things he has done to people and understands exactly why they still have reservations about him!!! Even Ridge took some VERY SERIOUS CONVINCING!! You may want to go back and watch that episode when Thomas approached Ridge about getting his position back at Forrester. Ridge was a hard sell!!! So again, quit making something out of nothing. Brooke has questioned Hope to make sure Thomas is keeping his end of the deal, but absolutely nothing else!! End of story.
As far as Hope is concerned…I will continue to believe she is very confused. There is absolutely no other way to describe it. Let me tell you why….

As far as Hope admitting she thinks Thomas is attractive….who cares?? Women can think men besides their husbands are attractive and doesn’t mean they am in love with them!! That’s absurd to make that leap.
And as far as Hope having “feelings” for Thomas…that is another thing that has been left very ambiguous. It could mean a lot of things. She clearly cares about him and definitely sees him in a new light. And for sure some of the thoughts she has been having of him are 100% NOT OK!!! But that does not mean she is “In love with him”! You can have ‘feelings’ for someone and not be in love….there’s no doubt about it. It is clear she absolutely cares about Thomas. But I have said all along…she is not in love with him. And I continue to believe that. So I guess we’ll find out soon enough!

And who said that Hope wants out of her marriage? Nothing can point to that because nothing like that has been shown. All we've seen is Hope falling for Thomas and trying very hard to deny those feelings by ramping up her attention (and sex life) to her husband.
Correction Lynn. Hope didn't say that Thomas is attractive, she said that he's desirable. So tell me, what does it mean when a married woman finds another man desirable, invites him to go to Rome with her then daydreams about what she is going to do to him while they are in the city of love?

She asked Hope for clarification on her "feelings" and she was VERY clear when she said that she finds him desirable. What's ambiguous about that? Hope thinks about Thomas ALL THE TIME, including when she's being intimate with her husband. She is thinking about making love to Thomas when they're in Rome together. They are not friendly feelings, Lynn. Come on now.
I know you don't want them together so I understand your need to deny what is being shown so clearly. For me, I'm enjoying it and will continue to do so for however long it lasts.
As far as Ridge and Brooke, I don't expect Brooke to literally forget what Thomas has done but if she truly forgave him, like Hope has, she will "forget" the things he did in the past. "Forget" meaning that she will not bring it up to use it against him or to blame him for anything that is not his fault. She will put it behind her and move on from it and give Thomas a fair chance. There is no true forgiveness without "forgetting."
DeleteThis is why Ridge might have an issue when he realizes that Brooke really doesn't believe that Thomas has changed. All the things she said to Hope about Thomas was quite unfair. Even with Hope telling her that Thomas is not like that anymore, she still kept going on and on. I don't think that Ridge will appreciate that. Especially since he has truly forgiven his son. And I am almost certain that if something does happen between Thomas and Hope in Rome, Brooke's claws will come out against Thomas.
I don’t ever recall Hope calling Thomas “desirable.” You seem to be able to pull up old episode dialogue, so I would be very interested to see the word “desirable” in the discussion she had with Brooke. But even if that were the case, that still doesn’t prove anything. And if you honestly don’t believe Hope is confused about her feelings for Thomas, then why did she completely freak out at the end of I believe Friday’s (possibly Thursday’s) episode??? She slammed down her computer and said…”Hell no!!!” after her little daydream about what could potentially happen in Rome. Brooke set the stage with their discussion about Thomas and Hope together in Rome by saying….”Honey, I wouldn’t want anything to happen that you would regret.” So then Hope gets lost in thought over ‘what could happen’ and that’s when she stops herself and says….NO fricken way!!!! I am not sure of her exact words, but that was the gist of it. I’m telling you, this is not gonna play out like you think.

Of course I don’t want Thomas and Hope together. Why would I (or anyone) want to see a half brother and sister in bed together??? It’s disgusting on so many levels that it shouldn’t even need to be justified. But beyond the yuck factor, Thomas has done HORRIBLE BEYOND HORRIBLE things to Hope and her family!!! So why would I root for her to take up with her abuser????!!!!! All that, plus I have never liked snake in the grass / manipulative Thomas. I will continue to believe he is a bad egg until I see years of change, not a couple months!! So yes, you are correct, I DON’T want them together. I think you are going to be very surprised at what really occurs in Rome.

The spoilerish content I posted above is from the show' network, CBS. Take what you want from it, but the fact that they are talking about it means that something will happen. It may not be Thomas and Hope sleeping together (I hope not!) but Hope may try to kiss Thomas or, at the very least, she will come clean with her feelings.

First, it directly relates to the fashion preview (the magic of the moment), so we know it's Thomas and Hope. Second, a promise of true love is mentioned. I've never heard Liam and Hope being referred to as having true love between them. Matter of fact, it's questionable whether Liam ever truly loved Hope. He has flip-flopped and hurt her so much in the past. And in the present, he either treats her like a fragile flower who needs constant protection or he controls her.
Thomas has loved Hope for so long but it was an unrequited love. Now that her feelings for him have changed, this could be the true love that Hope has wanted her whole life. She thought it was Liam but he was really who her mother loved for her. And what better true love story is there than two people who shouldn't be together, falling for each other?
