ReplyDeletewho ever is writing this garbage now needs to let someone else do it. we go for year that thomas loves hope and she hates him then he tries to hurt her and lie to her and she hates him more. then they have us go through months and months of thomas has changed (which he has) and we see hope falling for him and not being able to think of anyone else. they go to paris and hook up and liam sees them. then hope and him continue things when they get back and hope runs to the lawyer to get divorce papers filled out and they both sign them and evidenlty pulled a brooke and ridge and no one filed them yet. and brooke im not sure when she became the love guru but she is the last person who she should be listening too for any advice. she just got done battling taylor for the umptenth time for ridge. sure she has him for now but im sure taylor as soon as she gets with someone then ridge will have a vision and want her again. and my god for the love of god someone shut up rj he is all of what maybe 18 and all he is worrying about is hope and liam being together. its so stupid. so now we have thomas giving up hope for her happiness and so she can run back to loser boring liam while is at steffys still saying he can't get over why he ever let her go and he isn't going to get back with hope. wtf is going on here
ReplyDeleteThe writing is all over the place. At this point, I don't know if they ever had intentions of keeping Thomas and Hope together or bringing Steam back together, or if all of this was just Lope angst.
DeleteAnd if Liam decides to give the marriage another try, we'll know that it's not what he really wants given what he told Steffy. I'm also not convinced it's what Hope really wants either as she may just be trying to, once again, not be like her mother.
And the thing that really doesn't make sense is Hope telling Thomas he's changed but she can't be with him because of what he's done in the past. 😳😳 Poor, poor, poor writing.
I just watched and what a joke. Ridge for once seems to be the only one that has any common sense. Telling Brooke (mother knows best) and RJ who knows nothing, that he's a little skeptical. This whole mess is not about Thomas, it's about Liam and his love for Steffy.

Ladies, today was an eye opener!! Hope says to Thomas she “has” to give her marriage another go for “Beth’s sake”… when she tried to tell Thomas it was because of his past, she couldn’t even look at him.. That said a lot also.. it was so evident that she doesn’t want things to end with him, but feels she “has” to “try” for “Beth’s sake”, and “make up for” the hurt she caused Liam.. I think her feelings for Thomas run far deeper than just the fact he loves her only..

Again, after today, it also evident, that Brooke is completely ignoring the facts of what Ridge told her, and completely ignored him when he reiterated it.. That tells me she doesn’t care that she is setting her daughter up for more heartache KNOWING full well Liam’s true feelings for Steffy.. She would rather Hope be with someone who controls, emotionally abuses, and cheats on her, and will always love two women, than have someone who will always love ONLY her daughter.. Hmmm!! her response when Ridge mentioned Steffy being a major contention in their marriage and that’s it’s NOT going to go away, especially now, hinting “do you remember what Liam told me and I told you”.. she just completely brushed it off and said yes they have to deal with that?? Wtf, how are they going to deal with it Brooke?? are they going to hardwire Liam with a switch that they can turn off his feelings for Steffy?? Ok Brooke, let’s b realistic here!! You r so desperate to keep her away from Thomas, that you are happy to throw her into the lions den?? Great mothering Brooke..
It’s plain and simple, it boils down to, Brooke won’t let a Forrester woman win when it comes to a man, even if it means, throwing her daughter under the bus.. She has seen how happy Hope has been recently since this all happened.. but yes, let’s keep Hope in line, doing what mummy and Liam want and says and let’s make her miserable, just so Steffy loses.. THATS what this is about..
The sly looks she was giving to Ridge when she was adamant they will reunite says it all.. I think she honestly thinks that just because Hope wants to reunite, that Liam will jump at the chance and Steffy will b off the table?? Way to go Brooke.. It’s absolutely, appalling that she would rather Hope go through what she has had to go through, knowing how much it’s affected Hope to pick Brooke up off the floor because of it, than to let Steffy have him.. She really has NO self respect or respect for her daughter, to want this so badly for her!! That’s shows how much more important that men are to Brooke than anything or anyone else in her life including her daughters.. and yes I said daughter(’s), because we all know the history..

So Hope will get rejected by Liam, although she seemed like she doesn’t really want to reconcile, it’s clear she is only doing it for Beth and to shut her bloody mum up. Liam is squirming because he has no intention of getting back with Hope. He’s after Steffy and hasn’t given that up yet.

Delete@BBFan Let's face it Liam IS NOT true to his commitment when it comes women in his life, look how he treated Ivy! I kind of like the fact that Steffy is standing her grounds and telling "Waffle face" that he needs to respect her marriage, and that she doesn't want "waffle man" anymore because she can see he is NOT a steady committed man to stay faithful and solid. Steffy has shown that she has grown up and see the light about Liam and knows he cannot keep a relationship together. She has made herself clear that she loves Finn and is committed to him, and she is not about to do what Liam does Hope to walk away, she likes to work her marriage out. Yes, Liam is stringing Hope along, as you can see, he has been trying hard to get Steffy to come back to him and it isn't working. Ilike the way Thomas handled things today. As for Hope, I think they will be back together because there is a leak that Hope will become pregnant with Thomas's, soon when that will happen who knows. As for Brooke's remark she doesn't care what she says about Thomas, BUT Ridge's loves so if he is going to love a woman that hates his son then he is stupid in my book. Lies have a way of catching up.

Unbelievable with all the Thomas bashing..yes of course he did some evil deeds but lest we forget good old Brooke shoving Thomas off a cliff and his loving Father still has her around. She can never miss an opportunity to bash Thomas or put him down in front of Ridge and I don't hear him speaking up much in Thomas's defence and giving Thomas praise for the work he has down on himself . Hope made a bad choice today.

The new writers they have today are for the birds, there are a lot of shows that are good that being dumped and keeping some stupidity ones the network, which goes to show that the networks do not cater to what the viewers wish only what they want. They just don't hire good script writers like they used to anymore.
DeleteIt’s about the money. The good shows which were tossed were “too expensive to produce.” Reality shows, game shows and talk shows are all cheap to produce. The budget for this show may have been reduced and that’s why we only see a handful of actors at a time, fewer sets and may be why they regurgitate old storylines.

Even Thomas deserves better than being Hope's second choice back-up option. He has done some very bad things, but it does seem like he has changed. He might be right for someone else. I agree Mmysh that we can't give Thomas a free pass because he has a mental illness. Everyone has some form of mental health issue, and that doesn't give us carte blanche to just commit whatever crimes we want and blame it on our "mental illness" . That is just RIDICULOUS. The fact is that Thomas and Liam are BOTH toxic, and outside of soap opera land, nobody would touch either one of them with a 10 foot pole, no matter how hot and muscular they are. That being said, this is a soap, so we are just supposed to forget about the past when it doesn't suit the current storyline trajectory. Especially on this show😂😂

I`m unsure as to why you refuse to see the possibility that this person (Thomas) in this program can be made well again...once again I can only put it down to ignorance.

Wow,this is a lot. From where I stand, Hope doesn't look to be traumatized by what Thomas did in the past. She has accepted that he had been battling with mental health issues for some time now and is extremely proud of the work he is doing on himself. She has even fallen in love with him. Everyone on the show has seen the changes in him except Liam. I believe that he might be the only one that is actually traumatized by Thomas's past. He should seek therapy for that because holding on is not healthy.
DeleteThomas did not actually try to rape Hope!!! He had the drug but did NOT go through with anything. The ability to do something is not the same as doing it! He didn’t murder anyone and you keep saying he mirdered Emma! Maybe look at the definition of the word! Thomas did some terrible things but so did many others in this show and they have romantic partners etc. Even evil Sheila has love with Deacon as much as a narcissist sociopath can have that. Sheila is psychotic and doesn’t think she needs help. She’s never sought treatment and actually worked to scam her court mandated therapists. Thomas is actively participating in treatment and doing well. Not the same at all.

ReplyDeleteThomas's mental health issues were an extension of his brain tumour. If he didn't have that tumour would he have murdered, attempted rape by drugging a person, child abuse etc? This was all done while he was a SICK man. Because he would not normally have had mental health issues if it weren't for the tumour. He would have been living a normal happy life. Having a brain tumour affecting certain parts of your brain can have differing consequences. Unfortunately for Thomas his tumour affected him in a where it affected his ability to see right from wrong and make him into something/someone "evil". Now that he is better I believe that he deserves his second chance more than others who were in total control of all their facilities when they committed their crimes. But alas only some people will understand this.

Noone is making excuses or giving Thomas a pass. What Aussie Deb, Maur and others are trying to say is that Thomas' mental health issues did not just magically appear with his obsession with Hope, and his delinquency since he was a child wasn't him just being bad. His behavior back then, despite his mother being a psychiatrist, went unchecked thereby getting worse as he got older. It wasn't until his Hope obsession that everyone realized he had a serious problem. By then, it was so far developed to the point of the hematoma. A hematoma in the brain (or brain bleed) can affect the way a person internalizes specific situations and it can also affect a person's behavior.

Caroline wasn't passed out when she and Thomas had sex. They were both drinking and both drunk when they did the deed however, Caroline didn't remember anything the next morning and thought Thomas had raped her. Thomas tried to explain that he didn't, that they were both having a good time and it was consensual. What Thomas didn't know because Caroline neglected to tell him, was that she had taken pills before he came over and they started drinking. That's why she couldn't remember a thing the following morning. It was eventually cleared up though.

@Lori Thomas did not get Hope drunk in Cabo. What had happened was...(I always wanted to say that 😂) Thomas proposed to Hope and she turned him down. He told Steffy what happened and Steffy, of her own accord, started sending drinks to Thomas and Hope's table in the hopes that Hope would get drunk enough to sleep with Thomas. Talking about child abuse towards the Douglas and Beth characters is almost non existent in my books. As far as Beth is concerned she wouldn't have any remembrance of what happened. And Douglas doesn't seem too distraught that Taylor believed he needs a shrink. Until you actually have personal knowledge of a case then your opinion is null and void in my opinion.
