ReplyDeleteOh finally someone new and with a secret 🤩 🌙 and a phone person with a connection to the Forresters. I really hope it's someone we know and love/hate from the past. I was sure this girl would be like the models and the PR kid who only shows up every 4 months to flirt with Thomas or RJ. Glad I'm wrong! Although it would have been good if RJ was into guys. Just don't have her steal designs, that's too 2011.
Ridge keeps contradicting himself like he is the one with dementia. One sentence he's "not pushing Eric out", in the next he doesn't want him to do his line but take a break , then it's "complete control sounds good", then it's "Brooke my muse" (though I kinda like that 😀). Ridge your dad IS doing his line. Just deal with it. If you're so appreciative of everything he did for you, just let him do what he loves for as long as he can. He will get sick mostly if he feels obsolete.

Donna making hiring decisions based on how sweet and nice she perceives someone to be… overstepping much??? Eric didn’t look too happy about that. RJ. Seems like he fancies her though.
Sooooo boring this whole Ridge Eric rivalry thing. The fact is before you go bashing Ridge, does no one remember when Eric almost died and Quinn fought to get him treatment at home and was determined to nurse him back to health when his kids were busy counting the money they would inherit and fighting over who would run Forrester??
He’s right to be concerned and Donna mentioned tremors today which mean Eric is lying about it just being arthritis!!

DeleteI wonder if this Luna is an unknown child of one the Forresters. Y&R did that recently when Jack Abbott found out he had a granddaughter in her early twenties because his son had cut off contact with him. Maybe Luna is Eric"s granddaughter. Interesting.

DeleteIt could be any number of people who have a beef with the Forresters and not necessarily over sharing a child with one of the men. But I would LOVE nothing more than this lady to be Thorne's kid. First, because he has lost his whole family (won't remind thanks to whom) and a daughter would make up a little of this loss. Second, because that could mean hope of Thorne returning. I love Thorne.

My daughter is ‘hapa’ (if only I a had a nickel for every time I was asked if she was adopted or if I was the babysitter LOL) - she’s the one who had the baby boy 11 days after her due date. She married a half-Hawaiian guy. My adorable smiling grandson looks a lot like her - especially the beautiful eyes … they are visiting 🛬 next week. He’ll be four months by then. DeleteLuna is played by Lisa Yamada, she’s Japanese just like Naomi Matsuda who plays Li, a Chinese doctor. It’s good to see more ethnicities on soaps 🧼. I agree with you on where this is going. She’s got to have a Forrester link - if it’s Eric, Luna is more likely to be his granddaughter. We will have to wait to see how they have changed history again - common with soaps to have forgotten or unknown children pop up. 🤭😆
At the end of the day these people would not have have their positions if it were not for Eric Forrester who built that business from scratch. Thanks to him they travel the world in their work lives, live in mansions ( not Ridge though, he lives in other peoples mansions) they have a lifestyle Eric Forrester senior has created for them, including some of his grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteHe has every right to do as he pleases within that company and sacking Ridge would not be the worst thing he`s ever done and then reinstate him if he wants, when Ridge learns his place (Erics stepson). it`s just want Ridge needs, to be put in his place and knock him off his high horse.
I read recently that Brooke is going to become CEO, wouldn`t that be fantastic?! It may just be bs, but it would be great.
Indeed. Ridge should have nothing but respect and gratitude towards Eric and delay his power-grabbing instincts for when Eric truly retires. Without Eric, him and his children could do diddly-squat. I still hope one day Thorne, Rick or Felicia show up. None of them cries "Forrester" as loud as Ridge and his kids, even though they have every right.

DeleteRidge has spent over 30 years working his arse off at Forrester, he’s earned what he has now! He’s been very respectful.
DeleteHe has every right to be concerned that his father who is in his 80’s and nearly died a few years ago, and showing some concerning health symptoms is freaking out over a staple that was thrown away 20 years ago!!!
Eric has been semi retired for nearly 10 years now! Ridge is concerned over the extreme stress that is caused by putting a line out. Not to mention he and Steffy have been running Forrester all that time with Eric’s blessing and brought it back from the brink of bankruptcy!! Ridge bans Steffy are majority shareholders and rightly have a say in how the company is being run.
Eric suddenly wanting to take over again after being perfectly happy with their performance and acting like he’s been running it by himself all this time is off! Ridge has shown it was a shock and can’t figure out what’s is really going on with Eric.
Be reasonable. If you were in his shoes what would you do differently?? He has been respectful to Eric.
By the way Stephanie was the business mind in the family not Eric. It was his company but he was all about the designs, NOT the business side of things.
What I would do differently is exactly what I'm saying - I would remember where I come from, what this man has done for me and would encourage him with any means possible to have the best final collection of his life. And help him with that also with any means possible, ESPECIALLY if I see he is struggling physically. Not send my wife to try to talk him out of it via her sister. I think any half-decent child who has any shred of respect to their aging parent who gave them so much (and continued without hesitation even after learning they are not blood) would do.
DeleteWhen all this curfuffel began Ridge didn’t try and stop him from doing the line. He simply started the truth that at point in time he was in the middle of getting major collections out and running ten business and didn’t have the time AT THAT MOMENT to collaborate on creating a whole new Line and all that it entails! It’s not just designing some dresses! There is so much more goes into it!
DeleteRidge listed of multiple lines he’s involved in and he is the lead designer on the Couture which is the biggest of all of them!
HFTF is a niche market and not the mainstay of Forrester!
Eric took it that Risge didn’t value him etc which was completely irrational given the conversation especially when Ridge told him he owed him everything etc. He was 100% respectful to Eric who then went into a rage and threw him out of his own office! Eric is not in his right mind at that moment. Yet Ridge is being disparaged over it!
He’s totally confused over his father’s behaviour! The conversation with Brooke highlights that!
And the only reason Eric is having now these moments of wanting to "take over" or "put Ridge on notice" is because Ridge couldn't look past his own arrogance when Eric very happily and passionately was talking about his idea for a final collection. If Ridge had acted like the decent child I think everyone should be and supported him, it wouldn't have come to that. Eric is old, obviously struggling with mental conditions that come with that (dementia) and is not acting as rationally and controlled as younger people. He needs support and respect. RJ is acting exactly like Ridge should be - encouraging, respectful and sharing his enthusiasm. No wonder Eric adores him. Of course the Logan haters will find something to criticize about RJ at any time, too but I don't care. RJ is proving he is a great young man.
DeleteYeah whenever they want to find time, they always do. Look at how much of it does into discussing their kids love lifes. And Ridge never said that when he is done with x, y and whatever else he's doing they can do the collection. And if he has nothing against his dad's collection, how about not send his wife to try to talk him out of work and into pickle ball and subbathing.
DeleteNow that Eric has RJ they can all calm down. Ridge should stop trying to influence his dad into stepping down or whatever he wants him to do and Eric should put his bitterness aside and make the collection I know he can.

I would love to see Brooke be CEO simply because she can do it as well as anyone else, because she`s already proven herself!
