  1. seems like the first thing finn would have done when he found out is offer a 2nd opinion.

  2. I think Finn is going to step in and might come to the rescue? I gotta say , it takes ALOT for a soapy to get me to tear up, but the scenes between Eric and Ridge today 🥺🥺 I am really liking this side of Ridge and I honestly don’t think Ronn Moss could have pulled off these scenes in the same way as TK..

    1. TK is doing fantastic. His sorrow at losing his TV dad/work colleague seems very genuine.

    2. Elle, I agree, I think a lot of the emotion TK is showing is not just the scenes he has to act out, but I see “real” and genuine sadness in his eyes and I think it’s what you said, that he is losing a cherished work colleague and tv dad.. it must be hard when they spend all day everyday with each other, and they are being “someone else”, and not just on screen but behind the scenes too, and building close bonds with colleagues.. He has played Eric’s son for so long, it must feel realistic at times, because they put so much of themselves into that character.. When you think about it, all the days and hours being another completely different person, and having a completely different life, plus they put so much into bringing their characters to life and getting people to believe they are who they are on screen.. it’s like if they go to a store in real life, fans approach them, and they call them their onscreen names, not realising that they are not really their character, it’s like “omg so nice to see you in person Ridge”!! so they would feel like they have an alternate life and relationships, so losing one would cause some sort of real grief, particularly in Eric’s case.. He has basically been there since day dot and an integral part of the show and for the most part the show highlights the father son relationship..

  3. I think these episodes with the same old boring repeat dialogue are actually doing a disservice to John McCook. He deserves a much better send-off. There is nothing but constant showering of praise for Eric from everyone. How in the world would he not become suspicious that people know he’s dying?? And honestly, at this point…Eric is just coming off as completely full of himself. He’s much more likable when he’s a bit humble. But lately, Ridge has globbed onto ‘humble’. I don’t think the writers are playing this right with John McCook leaving. This isn’t the Eric we know.
And why are we being told that this is “His last and final collection”, when the collection he designed for the fashion challenge was supposed to be “His last and final collection.” ??? The writing on this show has gone from awful to unbelievably awful!!!

    1. Lynn these episodes were so boring, at some point I clicked to see where the ep is and I was like "only halfway?!?" 9 minutes felt like 20. Everyone is acting so fake. You're so right about everything reg Eric.

    2. I said this a while aback. This storyline is the worst! It's hard for me to garner any sympathy for Eric with the way he's behaving. He's not thinking of his family at all. And while I understand his need to focus on staying relevant instead of his condition, he needs to show a little more compassion for Donna and what he is putting her through. My heart broke for her the other day when he said that there is nothing better than being in his office and at the head of his company again. The look on her face.

Lynn, I think "his last and final collection" is meant to show Eric's desperation to stay alive. I think deep down, he is deathly afraid of his impending demise and just wants to keep working. Also, knowing he won against Ridge has given him an ego boost.

    3. Milla, you can tell by the number of comments over the past couple days that viewers are bored. And how sad for John McCook. Spending the entire 20 minute episode focused on Eric’s impending death isn’t helping matters.

Elle, I feel sorry for Donna too. Her heart is breaking. The whole family is agonizing over it. I hope they change the direction of this illness / death sentence soon. It’s going to be much nicer to watch when his entire family knows. And I agree with your statement “It’s hard to garner any sympathy for Eric when he’s behaving this way.” It’s affecting the way I perceive his character….and not in a good way!

  4. Completely agree about Eric. Too add, what is with the sheepish smile that Eric is giving us lately with the script? Does make him look like he has some cognitive issues and less business Davy all of a sudden. Is this to make us think he can’t run Forrester Creations anymore because he lost the fashion showdown or that he is ill?
It’s creepy to me that odd smile.
