I just wanted to say it seems yesterday some people got triggered because of a difference of opinion. First of all, we don't have to like the same character and it's okay. Second of all, I am not defending anyone. I'm not a fan of Hope and I like Steffy but she's getting on my nerves. Third of all, just because someone says or has an opinion about a favorite character that you like doesn't mean that you have to fly off the handle. And lastly, this is just a SHOW! none of these characters are real and these are just actors just playing a role. No need to act all nuts!!! P.S. boring episode today

Wings of Liberty, I read yesterday's closing comments and wondered how things could escalate to such a level. Thanks for addressing this. It is just a soap. Yes we all have our favourites. There’s no need for nastiness from anyone.. we are all supposed be mature people, and I would not think things would get this way if everyone was face to face.. it’s easy over a keyboard.. let’s ALL try and keep it respectful, and respect “each other” as human beings!! DeleteHaha. Seems Steffy is worried that her actions with Thomas and Hope might come between her and Finn. She kept telling Finn that they need to support each other etc. Guess she really didn't put much thought into the effect of her actions. All because of her blind hatred for Hope.
ReplyDeleteWell said Elle. Steffy is walking on very thin ice with Finn and she doesn't really realize it. Especially regarding her total refusal to show empathy and humanity where Sheila is concerned. Even if she hadn't been the one to "kill" Sheila, she should be more humble and gentle, but considering she was... Acting with her usual sharpness and judgment makes it ten times worse. Good for Finn for growing the proverbial pair and going.

DeleteMilla, I can understand Steffy's pov regarding Sheila. The woman has terrorized her family and tried to kill her and Finn. There's certainly no love lost for Sheila from Steffy. However, given Finn's very recent struggles with the death of his bio mom at the hands of his wife, Steffy could have been more understanding. Sheila's dead. No harm would come from him attending her memorial.
DeleteMmysh, Thomas decided to leave but I truly believe that if Steffy hadn't gotten into his head, he would have stayed. When he spoke to his dad, he had already started second-guessing his decision to propose. He said that Hope told him she wasn't ready but he didn't listen. Steffy then went over to Thomas' to make sure that he ended things with Hope. Then she got up in Hope's face to gloat about it. Steffy knew what she did and was happy about it.
Ladies, totally agree, I understand Steffy’s position but her behaviour, the gloating, the nastiness, it’s not nice!! Not liking Steffy’s behaviour at all!! I will say, Hope was not really wanting to go to the memorial, even for dad to start with, but I noticed her ears pricked up when he told her Finn might be going.. Then it seemed to be a different attitude..
DeleteI noticed the same thing. Hope seems more interested in being there for Finn than being there for Deacon. Maybe Hope is already plotting her takedown of Steffy. And she can start that as soon as she and Liam have their playdate with Beth. I’m thinking Hope will survive this Thomas breakup juuuuust fine!! 😁😁😁😁😁
DeleteI'm not sure Hope will get over the break up with Thomas that easily but guaranteed she is already seeing her way of payback for Steffy's interference. She warned her, "I don't know when, and don't know how but you'll regret this." This is her chance, she will take it.

Both Deacon and Finn deserve some leeway and compassion where Sheila is concerned. Giving that to them is a reflection of people's feelings (love) towards THEM not towards Sheila. That goes for Steffy as well. She can feel however she wants towards Sheila, but her love towards Finn should guide her to be supportive and gentle. And I have the feeling that's exactly what Hope will show Finn and what will make him even more fond of her (and what he has been missing so far).

DeleteMilla, I don’t think anything is “missing”!! although Steffy wasn’t happy he was going, she showed support and understanding.. .. Considering ALL Sheila did to her family, her a Finn, leaving them for dead to save her own frigging ass!! I think she handled it well considering!! Even Deacon understood that if she said no, and the reason why.. But she didn’t stop him.. and since it began , she has really tried to be understanding and supportive of Finn through all of this, which is more than I can say for Finn!! She put up with him leaving and not coming home the night it happened, when she needed him most, and left her all alone, and afterwards with his hallucinations, she was actually there for him a lot more than he was for her!! She also, let him accuse and blame her for defending herself!! And she could have left Finn the minute Sheila crashed their wedding, but didn’t, because she loves him so much.. So I don’t think anyone can criticise her AT ALL where Finn and Sheila is concerned.. I think she has been MORE than patient and supportive!! She lost her mother for years when she was young and needed her most, because of Sheila, and she grieved him for months after Sheila shot them.. how can anyone say that Finn is missing support and understanding?? Very confusing??
DeleteI can totally say it especially if he turns to Hope for that which is the way it is headed. Steffy is way too harsh and judgmental, it must be exhausting living with her and her constant attitude. Finn can use someone kinder.

DeleteAs for what Brooke did to the Forresters including her own daughter, Brooke didn't get the title of sftv for no reason. She wreaked a lot of havoc. Broke up families, didn't care who got hurt, and turned a lot of people's lives upside down. It's okay if you don't want to admit what Brooke did for so many years but trying to highlight Stephanie's faults doesn't minimize what Brooke did. Annimae is not wrong.

DeleteJust to add that "title" is not something that Brooke"gained". Nobody apart from Stephanie calls her that. And Stephanie is not the master of the world and her hateful words spewed at people any "titles". And yes Elle I know you "haven't said" that Stephanie is the master of the world, but that is not a "title" for Brooke, it's an INSULT that nobody has to accept as anything else. It's an insult that means nothing. And not to mention, Stephanie herself has regretted her treatment of Brooke and calling her that. So that makes it even less relevant.

And, if it's just an insult that means nothing, why does everyone get so up in arms about it? Also, I acknowledged recently that there is no longer a Forrester vs Logan feud since Stephanie and Brooke became friends so we ALL know it became irrelevant after that. However, the entire discussion was based on Brooke's PAST actions so, the sftv reference is indeed quite relevant to back then.

No need for anyone to get so defensive. This is a part of Brooke's past. It was who she was and what she was known for. Up till today, it is still acknowledged and accepted (even by Brooke herself) as who Brooke used to be.
I am still waiting for the investigation into Sheila Murder, especially since Sheila didn't have a WEAPON!!!

DeleteIt's true that Steffy is who Sheila wanted dead. Finn just happened to get in the way however, after Sheila shot her son, Steffy attempted to call 911 and Sheila shot her too. Sheila did not want to save her own son, all she cared about was saving herself. She ran off and left her son in an alley to die.
