DeleteI dont hear hope going around with angry chip on her shoulder blaiming Steffie for her failed marriage, instead ive seen her trying to get steffie to put this logans vs forrester foolishness to rest and for the sake of their daughters who are half sisters. Hope blames Liam for his divided heart and she has said that over and over again to Liam. Steffie's issues are deeply rooted from childhood, could you imagine how many times she has seen her broken hearted mom cry over a man who wanted to be with another woman. Steffie hates the logans because of the tears her mother cried longing to be the only woman for Ridge. Now this little girl who dosent respect her dad, her grandfather, her fathers long term girl w nor her fathers best friend wants to believe that Hope will do the same thing to her that Brooke supposedly did to her mother. Steffie, if Finn wanted Hope he would be with her, but he is not. So Ridge wanted Brooke and clearly it was not just pure seduction or he would not have been with her all these years even into their older years. Interrupted her grand dad when he was talking and now tries to threaten Carter. Ridge just has the worst children, Thomas who hides people babies and call Cps on his own son just to incriminate Brooke and now steffie who asks like a bulldog running Foresster on a ball of build up emotions from childhood. Aweful children.

ReplyDeleteEric's remark about "making a corporate decision based on personal grievance" and how “firing Hope is personal" reminds me of what Elle said that Steffy will look unprofessional and that may cost her. You may be right, Elle. I always thought that there's nothing Steffy can do that would make either Ridge or Eric take any measures but it may not be the case. Not from Ridge, he doesn't care, but Eric definitely doesn't agree with the approach. And he's yet to hear from Brooke.
Zende certainly looks like he'd be team Carter. Most of the people in the company actually. Only Ridge supports the decision.
Also, Zende was talking about the reputation of FC once the news gets out about Steffy firing Hope and how it can negatively affect the company. All of it are grounds for dismissal or, at the very least, a demotion. Carter seems to be headed in that direction. Let's see what tomorrow brings. It's Friday, hopefully we'll get an exciting cliffhanger.

Carter is COO. Steffy cannot demote or fire him because he's an executive member of the Board. That will have to be a Board decision. My guess is Steffy will be demoted, or given a time out aka administrative leave, similar to what happened with Thomas.

Ah that's true about Carter, it would have to be an executive decision. And about Steffy - I can only see it going there if Eric gets involved. Could Brooke and Carter call for a board meeting asking for her demotion? Maybe if things between Brooke and Ridge escalate... Ah so many possibilities!

ReplyDeleteWith Will and Electra. I see the next generation of the bold and the beautiful. They remind me so much of when Brooke and Ridge first met. Their eyes locked in the same manner. And I like that they met that way, because in the now world everybody is meeting each other online. But their chemistry is obvious and even with a room filled beautiful girls, Will only had eyes for Electra. And here we go possibly with another Ridge Brooke Taylor treo. The girl who invited Will out seems to be interested in Will too, ill refer to her as Taylor, because even though Ridge like and married Taylor, Brooke was the one who truly had his heart.

And yes, another storyline that is reminiscent of the old days except, Ridge didn't just like Taylor, he fell deeply in love with her, had a family with her, and spent many, many years with her. Brooke tried countless times to come between them but couldn't. Ridge's love for Brooke grew after he and Taylor.
DeleteElle I recently was watching some old episodes with original Taylor. She was an incredible actress btw, the way she was gesturing and screaming at Brooke was so realistic (was a moment when Brooke had given Taylor's kids lollies). And Taylor kept begging Ridge to get Brooke out of their lives, to reduce his contact with her and basically to put her and their family first. (She was right to want that of course) But Ridge never did. He just couldn't let go of Brooke and no matter how much she disrespected Taylor, Ridge didn't even raise his voice at Brooke and show he's serious (the way we see Finn now react to Hope which is the way he should). He always found excuses for her and enjoyed being around her and working with her a lot. I think he loved her all along, but hats off to him - didn't break up his family for her (back then, before Taylor "died" for the second time).
DeleteWhat I mean is that I honestly don't know how Taylor went through all that, it was daily struggle. She had some nice memories with Ridge which she kept playing in her head when she reminisced and convinced herself that their life was perfect, but that was such a small part compared to all the screaming and crying because of Brooke who Ridge couldn't give up on no matter what she did.
DeleteBrooke was a constant presence indeed. But he did truly love Taylor and kept rejecting Brooke over and over, no matter how many times she tried to seduce him. Unlike the premise (as expressed by the OP) that Ridge never really loved Taylor (only liked her) and only loved Brooke.
DeleteHe did love her, but not enough to respect her and hear her pleas to get rid of/distance himself from Brooke. Because he couldn't give up on Brooke his whole life. And that's not real love (or not enough) imo. To wach the person you supposedly love go through all this and not care... :/ real love would be to choose her without her having to cry and argue with Brooke.
DeleteIt wasn't always like that. There was a long period when Brooke was the one chasing Ridge and he kept rejecting her. That was when they first got married. It was only after Taylor "died" (really kidnapped) the first time, that Ridge moved on with Brooke after his period of grieving Taylor. By the time Taylor was able to escape Omar, Ridge was in love with and fully committed to Brooke. They eventually got back together, but Ridge always kept Brooke close, which is what I believe you saw in the old shows you looked at. At least that is what I saw because I, too, have also been looking at some of the older shows. This was before she and Ridge were even married and before she went to St. Thomas.
DeleteYes Elle, it was after Taylor returned the first time from the dead. It was then that they had their kids. I think before that first kidnapping, they weren't married for that long? I can't remember anything from their history before that... Was it then when she slept with James in the earthquake? And left a letter to Ridge that Stephanie hid and it couldn't get to Ridge because she "died"... Either way, you're probably right that Ridge fell much more for Brooke after they got married and that's why couldn't let her go in his second marriage to Taylor.

DeleteI am so tired of people bashing Hope and Brooke. First of all, where was Steffie's morals when she went after Liam? Did she respect Hope's marriage when she slept with him and didn't know who her baby daddy was? I didn't see anyone firing her for sleeping with Hope's husband. Plus, Steffy has slept with Bill, Liam and Wyatt. If anyone is a whore it's Steffy. Plus it looks like all Steffy can get is Hope's leftovers. First Liam then Wyatt. And everyone knows that Hope's line if failing because Steffy purposely talked her brother, the lead designer into leaving the country. I hope Steffy gets demoted and knocked off her high horse. If Hope wanted Finn, now is the perfect opportunity since she has nothing to loose. Respect Steffy's marriage... huh. This sounds like a lawsuit to me. You can't fire someone because you believe they are trying to steal your husband. Plus, Finn isn't as innocent as he seems. He encouraged Hope to have feelings for him by the things he said about her when Hope was dating Thomas. And, that Carter -Hope relationship is moving way to fast for Hope to have never thought about Carter as a possibility. And the last thing I want to say is.... Everyone knows that Taylor has feelings for Ridge. Yes her heart is broken because she can't keep a man. Every time she goes after Ridge he always leaves her to be with Brooke. Move on Taylor.

DeleteFirstly, Steffy is married to Finn so she did manage to get someone who was not involved with Hope. Rather, Hope tried to get with Steffy's husband.
Secondly, what leftovers? Hope continually tried to get Liam back from Steffy. It's not like she walked away and told Liam that he could have Steffy. It was the other way around. Steffy told Liam it was over and that he can have Hope. Then, fastforward to earlier this year, Liam walked away from Hope.
If anything, Hope is the one who got Steffy's leftovers, and she as much as admitted it when her marriage to Liam ended, stating that she always felt that he really wanted to be with Steffy and it was such a burden on her throughout their marriage.
That said, they are both better off without Liam and I am happy that Hope has not given him the time of day.
