DeleteAgree that Steffy trying to bring Daphne back is crappy. Steffy said that she missed her friend; however, a friend should realize that Daphne's heart was broken 💔 & she needs time to heal. Having to work with the happy newly engaged couple on a daily basis would not be a happy or healthy situation for Daphne. Carter may be okay with it, but Hope is not. Steffy should respect that. Afterall, Steffy & Hope have been getting along so well lately. It would be a shame to mess that up. With technology these days, certainly Steffy can come up with an option for Daphne to help launch her newly created men's fragrance "live from Paris..."

ReplyDeleteIt's not just because of Brooke. Eric hated Massimo Marone because of his relationship with Stephanie Forrester and she (Stephanie) had a hand in why Ridge never liked Nick. They also had a sibling rivalry between them because their father favored Ridge because he was still in love with Stephanie. Stephanie also framed Nick for murder to protect Ridge. In retaliation, Nick bought majority shares in FC and took the company from the Forresters. Nick's mother also owned/ran Spectra Fashions, which Nick later bought and competed against FC. Nick also married Taylor.

Mind you, Finn was Steffy's husband when Hope went after him. Other than one kiss when Carter and Hope were still a couple, Daphne pursued Carter when he and Hope were broken up.
Elle, Daphne pursued Carter the entire time she was at FC. Definitely not just when Hope and Carter were broken up.

DeleteWhile Carter is obviously going to be interacting with Daphne if she comes back to FC to work. She is bringing her back to the office where she will see Carter every day. What Steffy is doing is lousy and could possibly create a new rift between Hope and Steffy. And it isn’t necessary. Like Renee said, she could easily work remotely.
Well, can we also remember that Hope got pregnant for liam when they were still married and steffy was doing everything she can to save her marriage. Respecting peoples relationship has never been hope's forte.

I’m sure Steffy did horrible things 10 years ago as well. But as mentioned, I wasn’t watching the show at that time to be able to talk about those things.
DeleteSteffy wanting Daphne back has nothing to do with Hope or Carter. She's not being malicious. It's why she talked to them about it first. To explain her reasoning. She is also confident that Daphne won't be a problem now that Carter and Hope are engaged. Why would Daphne be a problem? Unless Carter and/or Hope make her a problem.
DeleteSteffy's doing it for the company because the fragrance line has been very successful. Having Daphne as a part of their team ensures that the line continues to produce top tier fragrances.
As for Finn/Steffy and Carter/Hope, Finn may not work at FC but he is certainly around the office frequently enough. So much so that he could give Hope a massage and be stumbled upon by Hope in lingerie. Not to mention, family gatherings. It's not like Hope barely ever sees Finn.
Also, I don't recall Daphne pursuing Carter the entire time she was at FC. When she first started working there, the plan was to seduce Carter however, that never happened and she told Steffy they needed to change tactics. That's when she started speaking to Carter's conscience. It was during this time, when Carter started opening up to her, that she realized he was a nice guy at heart and started to fall for him. This then led to the kiss. Hope confronted her, which Carter walked in on and she demanded that he fire Daphne. Carter said no. She still did not pursue him after that but continued to speak to his conscience. Shortly after, he gave back the company, Hope broke up with him and Daphne started aggressively pursuing him.

The only reason the plan had to “change” was because Daphne’s slithering up to Carter everyday and touching him nonstop and gazing into his eyes and then finally the kiss she planted on him - none of that was working!! And Carter was still very much in love with and committed to Hope!! I can’t believe you’re saying what you’re saying about Daphne! DeleteIn the phone conversation between Steffy & Daphne, Daphne said, "I understand they are engaged." After Steffy acknowledged that, Daphne was firm that she wasn't coming back. Daphne came to LA at Steffy's request to break up Hope & Carter. She failed, but succeeded at helping FC with a fragrance line. Daphne knows she is not over Carter. If Carter & Hope's engagement were to end, then Daphne would consider returning to LA. Daphne (& most of the viewers) know how aggressively she pursued Carter. He rejected her for Hope. Game over for Daphne. Unless the writers create a new storyline for Daphne, her character becomes as interesting as Charlie's. Life gave Daphne lemons. She can either create a new scent or bake lemon bars... I know what Charlie would prefer! 😂🍋😂
Delete@Elle 👏👏👏💯% Daphne most certainly wasn't pursing Carter from the start, she might have flirted with him on the odd occasion and strutted her stuff BUT she really only started pursuing him after CARTER welcomed the kiss from Daphne, Carter WAS showing signs of being interested in Daphne while Hope was still working at FC, it was evident from a MILE away, yet he NEVER pushed Daphne away when she kissed him, he was very MUCH into it.....at the end of the day Daphne fell in love with him and wasn't successful in breaking them up. At one stage I thought Hope had the hots for Daphne too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 every time HOpe smelt her scent she went weak at the knees 🤣. Hope is a hypocrite as you say. DeleteLynn, I made no claim that Daphne was innocent or did not pursue Carter. I'm saying it did not happen for the entire time that Daphne was at FC. I'm saying the majority of it happened after Hope ended things with Carter.
DeleteAs for Steffy, what I'm hearing you saying is that Steffy is doing a shitty thing to Hope, which implies that Steffy was not genuine about making peace with her. That she is somehow, now trying to purposely interfere in Hope's relationship. So tell me, you think that Daphne should not work there because Hope is insecure and Carter is weak? That their relationship doesn't stand a chance if Daphne returns? That Steffy should settle for getting another 'nose' whose fragrances are not as good as Daphne's all because Hope doesn't like Daphne? Isn't that a bit hypocritical given that Steffy has welcomed Hope back to FC where Finn frequently visits, and has also welcomed her back in her home where Finn lives to visit with Liam?
And what if Steffy does bring on someone new and that person starts pursuing Carter? Should Steffy fire her too because it makes Hope uncomfortable?
No new nose needed. Daphne already sent the new men's fragrance to FC in LA. Steffy just "misses her friend" & wanted her in LA for "PR purposes". Even Daphne stated in is NOT the face behind the nose that is selling the scent. Daphne can work from Paris. FC is international. They don't all need to be in LA.
DeleteDespite that, what serious repurcussions can Daphne being back at FC have on Hope or her relationship? Hope has access to Finn if and whenever she needs yet, we don't see Steffy placing boundaries on Hope. In addition, Hope got the man and Carter has proven that he is not interested in Daphne. It has always been Hope for him. Steffy understands this and still decided to give them a heads up about it.

DeleteSteffy no longer places boundaries on Hope being around Finn because Hope is no longer a threat to Steffy & Finn's relationship. Hope was wrong to try to interfere with Steffy & Finn's marriage. Hope is obviously in love & committed to Carter. So, Steffy trusts her again around "her man". Daphne, on the other hand, is still in love with Carter. It doesn't mean anything will happen at work. But, WHY would anyone want to deal with all that all day at work if there are other options? The whole situation is still very fresh. Even Daphne recognizes that & doesn't want to see the happy couple every day at work.
