DeleteI hate the new fad of jumbo glasses. A friend of mine was wearing a pair recently & all I could think was in the not too distant future, she is going to look at a photo of herself wearing those glasses & laugh. And, she will, as she has a fantastic sense of humor!
DeleteI don’t think they are oversized. I think they are more see-thru than normal brown or black lensed glasses. It’s the see thru effect that seems kind of weird to me.

DeleteHappy? Happy isn’t the right word. I’ve said about 20 times that I can’t stand Ridge. I simply knew this was going to happen because IT ALWAYS DOES! Don’t blame me, lol. Blame the writers for putting Taylor back in Ridge’s life when the fact is….Ridge and Brooke always reconcile! I am NOT a Ridge fan! I am a Brooke fan and I think she deserves someone much, much better than that pompous ass….Ridge!!!
DeleteAfter today's show, anything can happen. Brad Bell did say that Ridge will come to understand that Brooke is truly the love of his life. And we saw him admit in today's show that he will always love her and that they both knew from the first day they met that they would always be in each others' lives. Yet...!!! Ridge left her to go with Nick and he returned to the hotel. You would think that after such an admission, he would have tried harder to not let Brooke go with Nick.
DeleteIt makes me think that Ridge was quite okay with Brooke spending time with Nick. However, he is not okay with her marrying Nick, which is probably why he is going to try to stop Nick's proposal. It doesn't mean he would want to reunite with Brooke.

After all, the Brooke fans had to watch for months and months as Ridge rejected Brooke. That was very painful for some of us. I hated seeing her degrade herself. It was sooooo unrealistic and awful!!
DeleteThe thing about Brooke, Lynn, is that she brings humiliation to herself begging after Ridge the way she does and always confronting Taylor with her own insecurities about Ridge. It was the same with Taylor, even though not on the same level as Brooke. However, it was just 2 of them fighting for Ridge.
DeleteThis time however, it's much different. You have not just Brooke in the usual "tete-a-tete" against Taylor but also Eric, Donna and Katie acting like Taylor's relationship with Ridge is non-existent and bound to not last. They have been either constantly telling her to her face that her relationship will fail because Ridge is going to reunite with Brooke, or you have Eric backstabbing Taylor by actively seeking to end her relationship with his son. This time, it's not about Ridge being hit by a pine cone or looking through a keyhole and realizing that he truly wants to be with Brooke. This time it's ALL about deception (the showstopper) and other machinations to reunite Ridge with Brooke.
Ridge has already stated that he will always love Brooke but he chose to be with Taylor and also chose to marry her (he did not have to accept her proposal). The interference by outside forces, including Nick, is what will make this reunion different, if it indeed happens.

Elle, as I told someone else on the blog, (Iris I believe)…..I am not over the moon! He’s a jerk! You ladies were in denial this whole time saying he was sooooo committed to Taylor and how that wasn’t going to change. I kept telling you it was only a matter of time. And here we are.
DeleteI have not liked Ridge for years. My only wish was that Brooke be happy, and for some crazy reason he seems to make her happy. So that’s my only win in all this. We all want our favs to be happy on the show. No matter how poor their choices are.
As I said before, me guessing the ultimate outcome, as did Georgie and a few others doesn’t necessarily make any of us happy, it just means we know the predictability of the show. And the Destiny thing will always win in the end.

ReplyDeleteTridge was more pushed by Stephanie manipulation and Taylor went with it.Yes Ridge was happy with his family but Taylor missing several times weakened them and sex with James really ended them because she kept the secret so long but Ridge had Docon a Pedestal and one fall sent him in many directions.
Nick was the same to Brooke he slipped and she ran otherway too so only Bridge ever forgive each other.
Taylor sadly lived on her past
And couldnt accept it and couldnt see it and Stephanie and Steffy tried but failed.
