("because that's MY job" would have been the appropriate end to that sentence. 😆) So Ridge only wants Brooke in order to save her? only when someone else wants her? What?! and these are supposed to be mature adults. 🤦🏼♀️ When creepy old Eric who not only has two children with Brooke but lives vicariously through his son started pushing Brooke on him even after the engagement, Ridge should have eloped with Taylor but this show is all about the continual dramatic reunion of their most toxic couple, Ridge and Brooke. 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱

DeleteIt was like the scene from 'The Animal' where Rob Schneider, after a horrific car accident gets saved by a mad scientist with body parts from various animals, dives into the water and swims like a dolphin 🐬 to save a drowning boy. I half expected Ridge to start darting through the water like that 🐬 because he looked too far away to actually be of assistance. LOL Nick is an experienced sea captain who wouldn't be so lame as to not have life vests on all occupants. Not believable, Mr. Brad Bell! 🙄

D —. Monday’s episode was important. Ridge went after Brooke in an effort to stop her from going off with Nick. When Ridge found her, he apologized to Brooke and told her he was wrong for the way he handled things after she took the CEO position. Then Brooke said….That’s not all you came here for, is it Ridge?? And that’s right when Nick showed up and he whisked Brooke away with him. So Ridge never got to answer her. Then Ridge goes back to the hotel and Eric tells Ridge that Nick is going to propose. So Ridge goes running out of the hotel room again to find Brooke so she doesn’t accept Nick’s proposal. He is shown running through the town. No one does that unless they want to stop it for their own personal reasons. Most everyone sees the writing on the wall. As I said, be in denial all you want. That’s your prerogative. But when you won’t watch the show out of protest, then pretend to know what’s going on, I give zero credibility to what you say. And that’s my prerogative.

D, there's a lot of excitement about Ridge's measly actions towards Brooke at the very last minute when all along, he kept committing to Taylor in word and in action. You are right, that Eric is the one who has been manipulating this whole supposed reunion of Ridge and Brooke. It has become so ridiculous that even if Ridge goes back to Brooke, it would only be because he was practically forced to do so by his father!

DeleteMy thoughts exactly. Eric planned this whole "business trip" which was a 3 min fashion show, just to keep pushing Ridge to go after the love of his (Eric's) life. Ridge has told Eric many times to stop and backoff. I am hoping the only reason he is chasing her is to stop her from making a bad mistake. He has said more than once, he loves her but wants her to find happiness with anyone other than Nick.

D — the show is only 20 minutes long. And I have seen you comment on the blog many, many times that you are behind on episodes and have to catch up. But for some unknown reason you are not wanting to watch Monday’s episode. So I’m not going to keep discussing Ridge’s “intentions” with someone who refuses to watch the episode. That would be absurd. Think what you want. I expect this to be all wrapped up with a nice little bow on top by the end of the week. So it really makes no difference to me.
My guesses were correct about Bill and Sheila recently. And I expect the Ridge / Brooke thing to turn out as myself and others expected also.
Maybe because the Brooke fans had to hear day after day after day that Ridge was soooooo committed to Taylor, that we are enjoying seeing that not be the case!! Not a shocker really.

Brooke had literally told him the day before that since he didn’t want her anymore she might as well run off with Nick. Totally manipulative behaviour and juvenile at that.
Ridge apologised because he didn’t handle the CEO thing well and knew it hurt Brooke’s feelings, not that he was wrong for feeling betrayed but admitting he should have handled their interactions better.
The fact is she chose Hope’s side from the beginning of the coup! She told Ridge Hope and Carter had a point etc in stealing the company!! That was a deep betrayal!

Exactly BBFan! After Brooke left with Nick, Ridge did not go running after her, instead he went back to the hotel. When Eric asked him if he found Brooke, Ridge casually said that she went off with Nick. Ridge DID NOT seem totally bothered that Brooke was spending time with Nick. It was ONLY when Eric told him about seeing Nick with an engagement ring, that Ridge went after her.

Reese must have told them that his ex-wife and mother of his children is a doctor and would be able to come up with the money. Grace probably felt like she had no choice as she would have wanted to protect her daughters.

And it would have been nice to see Brooke with Nick, for a while at least.
ReplyDeleteI was really hoping that with Nick's return, we would have seen them fall in love with each other again and Brooke finally move on from Ridge. The writers do not have any imagination whatsoever if all they can come up with is to destroy one character (Taylor) just to prop up another (Brooke). It's also quite sad that it had to take the interference of Eric just to get Ridge to go back to Brooke after Ridge had already made up his mind and was moving on from her. I really do not know why anyone, at this point, would be happy about that.
