Today's episode was a great show! The fear that Carter must have felt before & after Ridge spotted Carter's signature on the documents. He is toast as far as FC goes, probably won't be in any legal trouble as papers were not filed. Steffy calling Hope a bitch - wow! Hope needs to work somewhere where she & her efforts are valued. Form a new fashion house Logan family & give FC a run for the money. Taylor is still a shrimp even wearing Bratz doll shoes.👠👠

As far as I see, she feeds off the laurels of others..

Next scene, Brooke is supporting Hope knowing the truth, but keeping Hope and Carters secret and still blames Steffy. Instead she's so happy Hope has found a man that isn't married. DeleteCarter is also making this very personal. The Forresters have always treated him with respect and trust. Even though he has been unfaithful to them in the past, he was always forgiven. I don't think any other family run business would excuse what he has done. He's bitting the hand that feeds him.

D - no, it’s been in the 60’s during the day. Evenings have dipped into the 30’s. It’s definitely not the weather for the sleeveless / half naked top Steffy has on. Notice everyone else in long sleeves or blazers.

DeleteI agree, Carter is absolutely acting in a very personal manner. No doubt about it. I only make the point about Steffy because many Forrester fans have said for months that this isn’t personal. But it’s ALWAYS been personal for Steffy. Even before the Finn kiss. Steffy has it out for the Logans. She always has.
We have had days in the 50’s as well. Admittedly, we don’t get the cold some areas get. Calif is generally warmer as you know.
But we had many many days over 100 F this summer. Ugh. Way too hot!!

I think all the Forrestor's can relate to how Steffy feels. Ridge once felt the way about I think it was Connor when he took over FC. Eric felt that way about Ridge at FC, so did Rick. Stephanie felt that way about Brooke. and the list goes on. They've all at one point or another made business decisions for personal reasons. I mean even when Brooke took over FC it was personal and wanted Stephanie to suffer for it. Didn't Katie as well do the same when she took over FC as well. Like all of them are mad Petty.

DeleteI found that Carter came on way too strong today however, he is more than an employee to the Forresters. Ridge even called him 'brother' today. Carter is trying to use his personal relationship with Ridge to his advantage. He is not approaching them as COO, he is approaching them as a friend who cares about their interests and who doesn't want to see FC fail.

Elle I agree. Carter came on way too strong but he is accusing Steffy of making business decisions based on personal feelings. That's exactly what he is doing right now. His anger and demands today really have Ridge and Steffys attention.
DeleteD, for the first time I actually saw Carter make an attempt to not make a hasty or high-handed decision based on how he was feeling. He begged Ridge and Steffy to reinstate Hope and HFTF even though he had the supposed answer right in his hands. He could have just walked in and gave them the documents to sign without riling them up first but, he didn't. And while, yes, he does have a personal stake in getting Hope reinstated, we've all seen him think about the situation and think about what he stands to lose if he goes through with it. He could have just gone along with it if his goal was just to please Hope and get her and her line back, but he didn't. Unlike Hope who just wants revenge on Steffy. I truly believe Carter just wants what's best for FC.

Everyone on the show is a bitch at times, and Steffy is probably the biggest one of all, when you think about her history vs Hopes history. One thing is clear as day though, that was extremely unprofessional of Steffy, and showed where her mindset lies. She acted on emotions, not professionally.

On one hand, she is strongly encouraging Carter to take over the company, then with Brooke, she pretends that she is concerned that Carter might cross a line???? What game is she playing? Something is not right. Hope is being very devious but still wanting to pretend to be the innocent victim with Brooke. So let's say Carter succeeds in taking over the company, will Hope put all the blame on Carter for crossing the line and pretend she had nothing to do with it?

BBFan, you and I both know Brooke's past and how conniving and manipulative Brooke was herself. She did a lot of dirt for sure. Given her transformation over the years, it will be interesting to see how she will react to what Carter and Hope are doing. I am thinking that she will try to steer Hope on the right path since she seems genuinely remorseful for her past behavior and the havoc she caused in people's lives but, as you said, she's a very protective Mama Bear and I can't see her outing Hope to Ridge or anyone else.

DeleteCarter is an executive TEAM member, and holds a seat on the Board of Directors, which gives him every right to demand changes if he is seeing blatant mismanagement of the company. Who holds the most shares is not applicable here since, as I mentioned before, if Carter calls for Steffy's resignation, and the other Board members agree, Steffy and her shares will have to step down. That said, he did not approach Ridge and Steffy from a professional standpoint but as a concerned friend who is seeing mistakes being made, which is why he took that approach. He did come on too strong though however, it was kind of Ridge to acknowledge their close bond as brothers.

It isn’t a bad business decision to so! It literally had lower and lower numbers and buyers were pulling out! Carter was upset it hadn’t been cut earlier! NOT in massive debt in an attempt to become a huge conglomerate is also NOT a bad business decision!
Carter is angry they won’t just do as he says. His is an advisory role and he is still and employee! The Forrester family are the sole owners!

ReplyDeleteWhen you have loyal people in your life, never go against their loyalty to you. That is one backfiring smoke you dont want to recieve. Steffy blatantly has no respect for her father and granddad in their authority. Carter was speaking to her father and she interjected, no respect for her father. She then called her fathers stepdaughter a bitch right in front of him. Ridge helped to raise Hope. They have Steffie very spoiled and for Ridge to hear Steffie says she dont care about loosing buyers should of had Ridge jumping to fire Steffie. I hope he sees now how this decision is just based on Steffies hate for the Logans. Ridge need to whip his spoiled children in place. Steffie and hope daughters are half sisters, and though Hope was wrong for kissing Steffie husband, Steffie actually did sleep with Hopes husband. yet Hope was able to forgive the situation, move on with Liam and tried to be amicable with Steffie. Every time Steffie speaks of Hope as a dirty dog, I keep being reminded of how genuinely concern Hope was for Steffie when she was missing and discovered kidnapped by Luna. Hope is always trying to be the peace maker but Steffie just wont have it, always referring to Hope as her mother, Brooke. Hope heard it so many times that she just fell in line, I prayed she would remain strong and not Steffies antics get to her, but only so much a person can take, and once they reach their breaking point, please get out the way. Same thing with Brooke and Steffanie. She tormented Brooke for years, which i believed fueled Brooke to strike back in not the best way. But she did have her victory moment when she took over Forrester and took the company out of Steffanies hand. I dont mind Hopes character changing a bit, she has been the goody good girl all her life, only to be called trash because of her last name. Hope should fight back for once, fighting back dosent mean you are a bad person, it simply means you will not allow evil to prevail over good. I wasnt pleased with her going after a married man, but I can see how that enfold, Finn is a loyal guy, like Hope so that attracted her, they had been discussing a lot of their personal issues and Finn was there for her, then she saw Steffie treating Finn unfairly by not allowing him to make his own decisions where his biological mom was concern. Hope was there to help him deal with that too. And lets not forget the real reason Hopes marriage came to an end, its because Liam still was in love with Steffie, so in some humanly twisted way, Hope felt the need to take her and finn away from Steffie. Im too happy she is not going after a married man any more, so her little plot to take over, bring it on. And from what I see she and Carter isnt doing anything illegal. If Ridge and Steffie dont read what the hell they are signing then whos fault is that. And then Taylor saying that she has told Steffie not to make it a them vs us. When the hell did they ever had that conversation. If anything Taylor has been encouraging this war with her children vs the Logans. She is constantly telling her children that she is still in love with their father. So therefore they will hate Brooke.

Steffy slept with Hope’s once and it was wrong. Steffy apologised and asked for forgiveness.
Hope , however, slept with Steffy’s husband Liam many times and NEVER apologised or admitted it was wrong.
Hope cheated on Liam and he wouldn’t take her back.
Hope took advantage of her friendship with Finn and attempted to seduce him multiple times and failed.
She didnt love Finn, she just wanted to hurt Steffy.
Hope was completely insolent and insubordinate and made Steffy’s life hell at the office.
Steffy has every reason to despise Hope.
Now Hope is manipulating Carter to commit a serious crime just to hurt Steffy! It’s no excuse!

Hope was honestly shocked that he didn’t fall at her feet when she kissed him, that he rebuffed her advances dressed in lingerie and propositioning him at the studio. This last time Finn made a mistake about her intentions but given Hope’s previous actions he wasn’t wrong to assume she was doing it again !
Hope caused Steffy a lot of pain in the past and that is always glossed over and Steffy is called a bully! She has every reason to dislike Hope!
