DeleteI really love how Steffy is there for Hope and how she has included her in the very small circle that knows the truth about Liam. I truly hope that they can mend what's broken between them, even if Liam does not die.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Sheila coming up to Bill to thank him for saving her granddaughter was a jaw-drop moment for him? Realizing where delulu got her murderous genes should give him pause as to whether she has really changed or if he made a huge mistake in setting her free.

Next week: Carter at Hope's door. At this point, he is stalking her! Will he finally give up after hearing her words to Liam?
Carter may finally give up on Hope in a romantic capacity after he hears her words to Liam. But Daphne will have to accept that she will never be anything other than SECOND CHOICE!! It took Carter hearing Hope say she wants to spend Liam’s remaining time with them as a couple before Carter gave up on Hope. That is definitely NOT someone who CHOOSES Daphne!

To say that Lynn, is to imply that Carter will never get over Hope and will somehow, always pine after her all his life.
DeleteI don't subscribe to this "second choice" nonsense because people do get broken hearts from a person they might have loved who did not love them back BUT they eventually move on. And many times, in retrospect, realize the person who broke their heart was never the one for them.
People used to say that Steffy was Liam's second choice yet he loved her completely and chose her over and over again in spite of Hope begging him to forget Steffy.
Elle, Liam is a different animal. He clearly loved two women and could never make up his mind or stay committed to either one for an extended period of time.
DeleteCarter on the other hand has shut Daphne down over and over again. He hasn’t flip-flopped like Liam.
He may “learn” to love Daphne if that is his only option. But he has shown time and time again how much he wants to make things work with Hope. He has gone above and beyond for Hope.
I am not saying that Carter can only love Hope, I’m simply saying that he wants and loves Hope and at this time she is not making herself available to him. If this show wasn’t so poorly written, they would give Carter some time to mourn the loss of his relationship with Hope before he moves on with Daphne. But since that is not the case, I’m sure Carter will be bedding barf-worthy Daphne in no time!!
I've never denied that Carter loves Hope. All I'm saying is I wonder if he will finally give up on her after hearing her conversation with Carter. I made no mention of Daphne in my original comment.

DeleteIf Carter & Daphne start a relationship now, Daphne would be 2nd choice as the relationship would never have happened if Hope would have given Carter another chance. At this moment though, I don't think Carter even considers Daphne an option - that is how committed he is to Hope.

We all have to move on from a previous love, relationship etc at some point in life.
That in no way takes anything from a new relationship! Hopefully one finds their person and then stays!
I agree that Daphne needs to wait until Carter is ready to move on, but that doesn’t mean if they get together it would be 2nd choice. It would just be something new and different!
How many women was Carter with before Hope? It was never suggested she wasn’t his choice.
That flawed thinking is the same applied to every single person who a fella is with after they have been with a Logan woman. That somehow no man could ever choose another woman once he’s been with a Logan.

I don't even know where this concept of second choice even originated. It's silly to think that after a relationship ends, the next person is second choice.
Daphne kissed Carter in the office & has been flirting with him for quite some time. He has made it clear to Daphne that Hope is the one he wants to be with - but, she won't give up. So, if Carter winds up with Daphne, she will always know his heart is with Hope, not Daphne. So, whatever you want to call it, Daphne is not Carter's person or first choice.
DeleteAgain, that makes no sense. As I said to Lynn, it would imply that Carter will never get over Hope and Daphne will never have his full heart.
DeleteRidge was happily married to Taylor for years despite Brooke's many attempts to seduce him. After Taylor "died," Brooke drew close to Ridge during his mourning period and eventually, he ended up sleeping with her and their relationship took off from there. So, is Brooke Ridge's second choice?
People move on from old relationships into new ones, no matter how the new one would have started. It doesn't mean they're second choice. Now, if Carter turns to Daphne after feeling rejected by Hope, I would say that he is rebounding. But even rebounds can turn into true, genuine love.

😉 yes I meant horses. I too sold mine about 5 years ago to a close friend. I know they are well taken care of and see them regularly, and we go riding at least once a week. They do have the biggest heart and put alot of trust in you. They are gentle giants.

ReplyDeleteOh that hug between Hope and Liam, and they were both quietly crying not wanting the other person to know. Oy vey. That got to me. I think Hope should plan for Liam to come over and spend a whole weekend. So he can get some daddy-daughter time with Beth. He's staying with Kelly, so he's already getting time with her. Then all of them: Steffy, Finn, Liam, Hope, and the kids should have a fun day together. Who knows how much time he has. It would be a great memory for them all.

I was afraid Steffy would come home and catch Luna there. That's the last thing Steffy needs to be thinking about now. I hope she won't be too hard on Finn. He did try to get her to leave. Not as hard as I would have. And to see Bill's sensitive side. Ugh! Sheila and her damned interruption. But you can't get upset or annoyed with her when you choose to go to the restaurant where she works. 🍕
F36, you nailed it. When Steffy said "we are family, and we'll both be there for our daughters" 😥😢😭 it was a nice change and very heartfelt. I don't think the truce will last that long, wether Liam dies or not.
DeleteI have never seen Dollar Bill's sensitive side. To me it's way out of character for him.
Sheila and Luna?? Like grandmother, like granddaughter. They both say, "don't let Steffy get in the way of our relationship". They're going to be up to something soon.
Anyway, it's a nice change from Brooke, Taylor and Ridge drama.
I think Hope and Beth could spend the weekend at Steffy’s so Finn can monitor him and make sure he gets his meds etc.
