ReplyDeleteDuring the Carter and Daphne scenes, I was thinking that Carter is going the way of Ridge and Liam. He just defends Hope whenever Daphne says something he doesn't want to hear. And I wondered why doesn't he just put his foot down and let Daphne know he's not interested? Maybe he wants to leave that door open in case Hope tells him it's over between them.
DeleteLet's see if he goes back to FC to cry on Daphne's shoulders and tell her she was right.

DeleteI don’t think there was any good justification for telling Taylor. Taylor says…..You can tell me anything, Steffy….I’m your mother.
DeleteBut this has nothing to do with Taylor’s relationship with Steffy. It has to do with Steffy not keeping her word to Liam. I don’t even think she should have said anything to Hope. But telling Taylor totally crossed the line.

DeleteI have to disagree. Steffy had every right to tell Hope. She is the mother of his child and deserves to know. I also think Liam is glad she did. It took some of the burden off him, and now he can open up to Hope.
DeleteAs far as Taylor, she knows something is wrong with Steffy. Steffy knows what she told her Mom is in confidence and now has support from her.
D - I completely disagree. If someone tells you not to say anything, you should honor their request. Especially something as serious as this. I don’t think Liam or Finn were happy with Steffy for blabbing. But I somewhat came to terms with the justification for Steffy telling Hope. But there is absolutely no way she should have blabbed to her mom! There was ZERO reason for it. Other than to be gossipy. And I’m betting Taylor tells Ridge because she feels she should and Ridge wants to know. It’s absurd that all these people will know before Liam has a chance to talk to people in his own way and in his own time. Steffy is out of line!

DeleteLynn I agree to a point. When someone asks you to keep it to yourself, you should honor their request. But this is a difficult request, fortunately I've never been in this type of situation. When it affects other people, children and others lives, I'm not sure I would be able to keep it to myself either. And don't think Steffy told Taylor just to be gossipy. Steffy needs support too, and is confiding in her Mom.

I support Steffy in telling Hope. She has every right to know. Steffy was right to tell her.
DeleteLynn, I was joking about if Steffy tells a third person. I do feel that, outside of Hope, she should have kept it to herself.
But I also agree with D that Steffy needs the support as well. She and her mom are very close so it's natural she would want to tell her. I don't know what I would have done if I was in Steffy's situation. I imagine it's already difficult enough to watch a man she once loved - the father of one of her children - having to deal with this (and it will get worse). To have to keep that secret has to make this journey all the worse.
And if Hope decides to tell her mom to get support from her, I will understand that as well.
Elle, of course Hope had a right to know. But I continue to say….that wasn’t Steffy’s call. Liam should have told Hope. And Steffy can get support from Finn. She can also make an excuse for telling her dad (Ridge) if she chooses. But that doesn’t make it right! And if Hope tells her mom, I will disagree with that as being OK as well. This was Liam’s secret to tell….period.

DeleteI honestly think that Hope is over Liam. When she said she wanted her future with him, I think she meant it in the sense of them spending all the time he has left together.
DeleteThe reason I feel she has moved on is because they've shown flashbacks of Lope twice (finding out Beth was alive and today) yet, both times, they were Liam's memories, not Hope's.
I think liam and hope belong together and Daphne is good with Carter she appreciate his good personality she believes in him and loves him truly, but at the end it's soap there is no happily ever after.

ReplyDeleteSo now Carter believes there is no hope for a relationship with Hope. He will be heartbroken, and fall into Daphne's arms. Ugh, such a tired old story idea. No one (on daytime dramas) ever takes time to be alone before they go hook up with someone else. I mean Ridge did it to Brooke twice recently (remember Thomas and the CPS call, then Brooke taking the CEO position at Forrester). He runs back to Taylor so fast. Then he regrets it. The same thing will happen with Carter.
