I hadn’t watched B & B for decades. So I must have missed all the bad Brooke behavior. I have always liked Brooke and I continue to be a fan. Everyone knows the writers will always put Brooke and Ridge back together. It’s the one constant in the show. I will continue to root for them. I definitely liked the previous Ridge better, however. I wish he hadn’t been replaced by raspy, whispering voice Ridge. Lol

I love TK as Ridge. The raspy voice was so sexy on Zach Slater character and he’s 100% improvement over RM whom I never fancied for Ridge. TK brings humour, depth and warmth to Ridge’s character which was totally lacking before!

I enjoy hearing his accent come through at times and to know that he goes home to ‘Marty’ and their girls makes me think he’s a good guy IRL. RM seemed to be an arrogant snot who was condescending to Thorne, etc. I didn’t like how the writers made this Ridge hateful toward Quinn when he found himself attracted to her in the past and thought she was, indeed, good enough for his father. Ridge is hurt that Brooke literally told him that Deacon was now going to be in his home, in his life whether he liked it or not. That he would have to deal with it. It hurt that Ridge has planned a romantic get away for him and Brooke that she threw back in face. They were have marital issues and he wanted time for them to try and repair things. Brooke threw it back in his face. So imagine the hurt that she spent NYE with Deacon! Even if she hadn’t been drinking, she was petulant that Ridge was stuck on the tarmac because of a storm and would have spent time with Deacon to make Ridge pay! It’s what she’s always done when she isn’t given her way!

In my country (Australia) any establishment that even allowed a staff member to sleep on the premises let alone allow visitors into storage areas would be dragged kicking and screaming into an industrial tribunal and severely fined, but Il Giardino is open for business every day as per usual.
Dear Hope, pack up your father, husband, children and move to a nice rural area in USA where you can buy a lovely farm, have animals for the kids, Deacon can do the labour and the bookkeeping and Liam can open a wellness and meditation centre. You can bake cookies and do craftwork. Send little Douglas back to his father so they can live in downtown Los Angeles. He needs to run with a few backstreet boys for a while, maybe learn to keep his mouth shut!

I wholeheartedly agree Bbfan. This Ridge is a refreshing improvement. I enjoy hearing his accent come through at times and to know that he goes home to ‘Marty’ and their girls makes me think he’s a good guy IRL. RM seemed to be an arrogant snot who was condescending to Thorne, etc. I didn’t like how the writers made this Ridge hateful toward Quinn when he found himself attracted to her in the past and thought she was, indeed, good enough for his father. It’s annoying when the writers change history or write scripts which show them acting out-of-character.

Taylor knew about Caroline wanting Brooke to take care of Ridge after she was gone (also her and Brooke also didn't like eachother because Brooke was obvious with her pursuit of her husband). Then Ridge Brooke got together-sort of, up until she decided she wanted Eric instead, and that's when RIDGE started pursuing Taylor. She never chased after a taken man, he was the one that was persistent with her.

Brooke literally kept Taylor being alive from Ridge after she escaped being kidnapped by Prince Omar. Brooke told Taylor to just go away and stay dead because it wasn’t fair to Brooke. After Ridge eventually got his life and wife back with Taylor, Brooke faked a pregnancy and a miscarriage for fake pregnancy to get Ridge away from Taylor. Then kept Thomas from Ridge to try and cement her hold on him!
Ridge is hurt that Brooke literally told him that Deacon was now going to be in his home, in his life whether he liked it or not. That he would have to deal with it. It hurt that Ridge has planned a romantic get away for him and Brooke that she threw back in face. Brooke chose to be with Deacon, Hope and Liam and Beth and Douglas (all except Deacon) who live with her and she sees every day. They were have marital issues and he wanted time for them to try and repair things. Brooke threw it back in his face. So imagine the hurt that she spent NYE with Deacon! Even if she hadn’t been drinking, she was petulant that Ridge was stuck on the tarmac because of a storm and would have spent time with Deacon to make Ridge pay! It’s what she’s always done when she isn’t given her way!
I don’t think that night would have happened any different except maybe Brooke would have had sex with Deacon if she wasn’t too drunk to.
Again the kiss would NOT have been an issue if Brooke wasn’t LYING to Ridge about it AGAIN!!! He knew something more had happened, he literally begged Brooke to tell him all and that he could forgive her anything as long as she told the truth!!!!

ReplyDeleteTaylor shot a man, a man steffy slept with the father of her husband, Taylor kissed ridge in brookes house not long ago, ridge had an affair with shawna and married her while still married to brooke, oh but he was drunk! Shared bed with her, and Taylor drugged ridge and gave him alcohol and then slept with him while he was married to brooke so shut the fuck up
It's scenes like this, that remind me why Hope and Brooke bother me.
ReplyDeleteI remember when the whole Steffy, Bill and Liam saga happened, and Hope came from where ever she was to "support Liam", her and her mom got involved in a situation that did not involve them... but of course the hypocrisy of it was not Taylor's place or Steffy's to get involved in Ridge and Brookes marriage. Where was that consideration when Steffy and Liam were going through it. Its always do what i say, not what i do, with them.
I love the new Ridge. Hope has got blinkers on. We dont live in a perfect world and she should never think everyone would accept Deacon. Just wait Sheila is going to slip up or someone will discover what happened to the wine. Usually its not what we expect !

ReplyDeleteWhat a great place that restaurant Il Giardino must be to work at? Where on earth is the manager and staff? Fantastic place, you can sleep in the broom closet, have fist fights with your enemies and also a continuous flow of people come in for friendly chats or just to verbally abuse you and steal bottles of wine. Oh wait, the Forresters eat there regularly don't they, so I suppose the manager turns a blind eye. The Industrial Laws in California must be very weak. In my country (Australia) any establishment that even allowed a staff member to sleep on the premises let alone allow visitors into storage areas would be dragged kicking and screaming into an industrial tribunal and severely fined, but Il Giardino is open for business every day as per usual.
ReplyDeleteDear Hope, pack up your father, husband, children and move to a nice rural area in USA where you can buy a lovely farm, have animals for the kids, Deacon can do the labour and the bookkeeping and Liam can open a wellness and meditation centre. You can bake cookies and do craftwork. Send little Douglas back to his father so they can live in downtown Los Angeles. He needs to run with a few backstreet boys for a while, maybe learn to keep his mouth shut!
