@Bea123 Thomas was just cutting his apple but I believe the focus on Brooke looking at the knife is to show what was in Brooke's mind. She also talked about Thomas using Douglas to come between she and Ridge, which is so far from the truth. I may be wrong but it seems we might be heading toward Brooke having some sort of mental breakdown. It started since she fell off the wagon. Her obsession about outside forces and seeing threats all around her might be getting to her.
@pammy Ridge and Bill usually have the hilarious one-liners but Thomas was on fire today! 😂😂 I liked the fact that Brooke was able to hear firsthand how all of her past antics affected Ridge's kids. One thing I can say regarding Ridge and how he feels about these 2 women, when he was with Taylor, he was completely devoted to her. No matter what Brooke did or how many men she slept with, it didn't matter to him because he only had eyes for Taylor. He was never jealous of Brooke being with someone other than him. After Taylor "died" and he got with Brooke, he was totally devoted to her. Even when she messed up, he forgave her and remained faithful.
Taylor returning has changed things and he is being reminded of what they shared and how good it was. If he does leave Brooke and reunites with Taylor, I don't believe she will have to worry about Ridge being jealous of Brooke.

Prior to that, he left Taylor after he already made a family with Brooke and R.J. and Ridge found out about Taylor sleeping with James long ago and keeping it from him for decades. Every time he had a reconciliation/foiled wedding with Taylor sinc e that breakup, it was because of his children's/Stephanie's interference.

So, Ridge left a pregnant Taylor once. What does that have to do with the revisionist history of Ridge leaving his family for Brooke. Is the incident you mentioned why Ridge is now married to Brooke? Or did you miss a few steps in between? The last time Ridge was married to Taylor, he left because of the James reveal and how she was self-righteous with him about him still having feelings for Brooke whilst she was keeping the James secret. He didn't leave Taylor and the kids for Brooke. He left because he realized Taylor was not who she pretended to be per canon, until this rewrite. Brooke has done plenty of dirt (I was a huge Thorne/Macy fan) but stealing/seducing Ridge away from his family is not it, has she tried, oh yeah, it's Brooke, but that's the one relationship of hers that's not based on that. Ridge is with Brooke because HE wants to be, not because someone manipulated it into being, including Brooke.

He's like a headless fly like we say in my country, just swinging back and forth, left and right, without knowing where he wants to go. Not only in relation to the women. The only time was when she returned and his heart was already with Brooke and RJ and he saw the way out in the James reveal. That's what those kids don't understand. @M I agree with everything you posted. I don't understand why shows can't transition partners more seamlessly without erasing who the character was before and what they did and who they loved. People do have different facets. It was enough that Ridge and Taylor connect together on the subject of their kids and their shared history, why taint Bridge's history in the process? It was always written that Ridge loved them both but during the last time when Taylor kissed Ridge and she didn't kiss him back, I thought it was pretty settled who he chose. Now, we're to believe he's also always been "in love" with Taylor, too? Come on! He's left her at the altar how many times?

@Elle I don't think Brooke's machinations had anything to do with why Ridge chose Brooke. He loved her before, during, and after Taylor. He proposed to Taylor to get back at Brooke for a goodbye kiss with Grant. Those years he spent with Taylor, yes, he was happy - with the package of the kids and Taylor. He was maturing with her. He was becoming the kind of man he wanted to be but between just Taylor and Brooke, Ridge chooses Brooke.
I think part of what makes Brooke love Ridge so much is that she couldn't tempt him away from his family. He always loved Brooke but he was strong enough to honor his commitment to Taylor and the kids, until after Taylor died. He moved on. Ridge said what he said because the writers did a rewrite.
Taylor has been in and out of their lives, Ridge hasn't except for during when Ronn Moss left and Thorsten Kaye took over, that's out of how many years on-canvas. Other than that, Ridge has been a constant presence in his children's lives, oftentimes to their detriment with the way he excuses their sometimes reprehensible behavior. He enables them.
Did Brooke make him reject Taylor's desperate kiss the last time Hunter Tylo's Taylor tried to kiss Ridge? No. So, it is revisionist history. It's just the one you prefer. If the issue were truly Brooke standing in the way of Tridge, explain Ridge/Ashley, Ridge/Caroline, Ridge/Quinn, Ridge/Shauna. He could have chosen Taylor over any of them but he didn't at the time, not because of Brooke, but because Ridge didn't want a life with Taylor. It is what it is.

Brooke is in denial. For so many years, she tried to get Ridge to leave Taylor for her. However, she knew what Taylor meant to Ridge and she knew that they shared a special bond. Now that Taylor's back, she's desperate to hold on to him for fear of losing him to Taylor. She will never admit or face the fact that that is exactly what might be happening. When "her husband" goes back home but is not being intimate with her, that's something she should question instead of burying her head in the sand.

I think Ridge let Steffy off too easy for her juvenile stunt with his phone. He continues to send mixed messages. Taylor, Steffy, and Thomas have made it so clear they want him to leave Brooke. She also talked about Thomas using Douglas to come between she and Ridge, which is so far from the truth. I may be wrong but it seems we might be heading toward Brooke having some sort of mental breakdown. It started since she fell off the wagon. Her obsession about outside forces and seeing threats all around her might be getting to her.
@pammy Ridge and Bill usually have the hilarious one-liners but Thomas was on fire today! 😂😂 I liked the fact that Brooke was able to hear firsthand how all of her past antics affected Ridge's kids. She never cared for any of them and instead resented them because they were Ridge's kids with Taylor.

I truly wish for him to go back to giggles and stay there, but we all know that`s not possible. As I have said previously, the first time he sees Brooke with a genuine man, his jealousy will bubble to the top again and goodbye Taylor. This is what her awful and selfish children are setting her up for.
They need to stay out of their parents life and clean up their own. Those children are constantly with Amelia, Thomas is off on another of his little mental breakdowns with the illusion he can be with Hope. Also you're right about the kids always being with Amelia 😂 And hope's kids are always with Donna eating ice cream. DeleteOne thing I can say regarding Ridge and how he feels about these 2 women, when he was with Taylor, he was completely devoted to her. No matter what Brooke did or how many men she slept with, it didn't matter to him because he only had eyes for Taylor. He was never jealous of Brooke being with someone other than him. After Taylor "died" and he got with Brooke, he was totally devoted to her. Even when she messed up, he forgave her and remained faithful.
Taylor returning has changed things and he is being reminded of what they shared and how good it was. If he does leave Brooke and reunites with Taylor, I don't believe she will have to worry about Ridge being jealous of Brooke.
@Elle. I don't know the whole history of these two but first time I have seen Ridge that deeply bothered. Thanks for filling me in a bit. It explains the heart felt conversation he had .

Prior to that, he left Taylor after he already made a family with Brooke and R.J. and Ridge found out about Taylor sleeping with James long ago and keeping it from him for decades. Every time he had a reconciliation/foiled wedding with Taylor sinc e that breakup, it was because of his children's/Stephanie's interference.

Is the incident you mentioned why Ridge is now married to Brooke? Or did you miss a few steps in between? The last time Ridge was married to Taylor, he left because of the James reveal and how she was self-righteous with him about him still having feelings for Brooke whilst she was keeping the James secret. He didn't leave Taylor and the kids for Brooke. He left because he realized Taylor was not who she pretended to be per canon, until this rewrite. Brooke has done plenty of dirt (I was a huge Thorne/Macy fan) but stealing/seducing Ridge away from his family is not it, has she tried, oh yeah, it's Brooke, but that's the one relationship of hers that's not based on that. Ridge is with Brooke because HE wants to be, not because someone manipulated it into being, including Brooke.

@M I agree with everything you posted. I don't understand why shows can't transition partners more seamlessly without erasing who the character was before and what they did and who they loved. People do have different facets. It was enough that Ridge and Taylor connect together on the subject of their kids and their shared history, why taint Bridge's history in the process? It was always written that Ridge loved them both but during the last time when Taylor kissed Ridge and she didn't kiss him back, I thought it was pretty settled who he chose. Now, we're to believe he's also always been "in love" with Taylor, too? Come on! He's left her at the altar how many times?

He was becoming the kind of man he wanted to be but between just Taylor and Brooke, Ridge chooses Brooke.
DeleteI think part of what makes Brooke love Ridge so much is that she couldn't tempt him away from his family. He always loved Brooke but he was strong enough to honor his commitment to Taylor and the kids, until after Taylor died. He moved on. Ridge said what he said because the writers did a rewrite.
Taylor has been in and out of their lives, Ridge hasn't except for during when Ronn Moss left and Thorsten Kaye took over, that's out of how many years on-canvas. Other than that, Ridge has been a constant presence in his children's lives, oftentimes to their detriment with the way he excuses their sometimes reprehensible behavior. He enables them.
Did Brooke make him reject Taylor's desperate kiss the last time Hunter Tylo's Taylor tried to kiss Ridge? No. So, it is revisionist history. It's just the one you prefer. If the issue were truly Brooke standing in the way of Tridge, explain Ridge/Ashley, Ridge/Caroline, Ridge/Quinn, Ridge/Shauna. He could have chosen Taylor over any of them but he didn't at the time, not because of Brooke, but because Ridge didn't want a life with Taylor. It is what it is.

Now that Taylor's back, she's desperate to hold on to him for fear of losing him to Taylor. She will never admit or face the fact that that is exactly what might be happening. When "her husband" goes back home but is not being intimate with her, that's something she should question instead of burying her head in the sand.

Brooke was instrumental in Hope getting maternal rights over Douglas that's why she exercises such liberties as walking into Eric's home and demanding that Thomas bring Douglas back to his "other home." I'm glad Thomas was intolerant of her bullying.

Because by the time they realized what was happening with Thomas, Brooke and Hope had already gotten him to sign the papers. Up until that point when they were also hiding the fact that Thomas had fallen into a vat of toxic substances and was presumably dead, his family still had not realized that he needed help. Why would they take his son from him if they thought that all was well?

Thomas and Brooke were both calling each other out. And that knife thing was too weird. Brooke fixated on the knife right when she walked into the house. And she continued to be distracted by it. So something more will happen on Monday’s episode with that. If crazy Thomas comes after Brooke with the knife, you know Brooke will absolutely go to Ridge - as well she should!!

ReplyDeleteKind like how Brooke hid the love letter Ridge ( yes gasp before the days of mobile phones ) wrote Caroline so that she would go ahead and marry Thorne so she could keep them apart?? Or how Brooke allowed Ridge to be convicted of murdering her own husband to cover for her precious son Rick who was the actual killer??? Or how she LIED to Ridge about Thomas, saying he ABANDONED DOUGLAS & Forrester when she KNEW Hope had pushed him into a vat of acid and left him to die??? Like that? Where she caused pain to her husband to cover up for her daughter? Like how she told Ridge it was HER home and Deacon would be there regardless of he felt??? She played lots of dirty tricks over the years.
DeleteAs usual I see the resident HOEgan ass lickers are conveniently forgetting some things. So in yalls minds, it's only okay for the characters to have mental issues if their last name is Logan? Lmao! I guess yall forgot how twisted little Ricky was. Blaming Ridge for everything his whore of a mother did. I guess yall also forgot that Rick tried to throw Ridge off a building. I guess yall also forgot that after Phoebe's death, Ricky boy had no empathy for Ridge, Taylor, or their remaining kids, and the grief they were suffering and he continued trying to punish Ridge by going after Steffy. Yeah, that's not crazy. I guess yall also forgot that Storm's unstable ass shot Stephanie. And last, but definitely not least, have yall forgotten the time that Brooke thought a doll was her child lmao. Yeah, no craziness there (eyeroll). But this slut has the nerve to bash Thomas for his mental breakdown. Brooke makes every excuse under the sun for her screwed up kids (and they're screwed up because of her) but wants to constantly punish Thomas for his mistakes. Some of you HOEgan ass lockers are just as delusional as the Brooke character lol. Like whoever you like on this soap, but stop trying to rewrite history and/or conveniently leaving out facts from the past. I've watched B&B from DAY ONE, so I know all the characters history, Forresters, and HOEgan's.

And let's not forget that slut tried to manipulate Douglas into staying quiet about seeing her kiss Deacon. Yeah, the HOEgan family is so morally superior to Taylor (eyeroll), and her kids. At least us Taylor fans can call out Taylor, Steffy, and Thomas on their misdeeds, but you HOEgan fans are just downright delusional. Yall love rewriting B&B history just like Dumbbell Jr.

DeleteI think Ridge let Steffy off too easy for her juvenile stunt with his phone. He continues to send mixed messages. Taylor, Steffy, and Thomas have made it so clear they want him to leave Brooke. So Ridge, what are you going to do? I'm not Team Brooke or Team Taylor. I'm Team Enough Already! And even though Thomas seems to have some unresolved stepmother anger, I do agree with one thing he said. Brooke should stay out of the Douglas situation. Let Hope decide.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Ridge let Steffy off the hook too easily. I think his response was to show exactly how he feels about what she did. He doesn't care. And he followed it up with his heartfelt speech to show what he really cares about. In Ridge's mind, the phone issue was trivial and insignificant.
