It is so out of character for Quinn to dump Carter especially after everything that happened that brought them to such a happy place in their relationship. There is no explanation that works. It is also too soon for Carter to start another romance. He is obviously still grieving Quinn leaving him. Katie has to know that if Quinn were to return, Carter would be with Quinn. So, once again, Katie is with a man that does not have eyes for just her. 😳
But with Quinn gone for good them eyes have not much choice. I can imagine Paris going after Carter again though. I was thinking Katie must be close to 50 herself, it's all possible on soaps but don't know how easy it will be to give him kids...

Nobody has ever mentioned Jack's name :/ Of course I can imagine he's working for Nick, but none of his mommies are ever thinking of him and back then they were ready to kill each other over him.

Nearly every child has been "to boarding school" though. That's the only way to rapidly age them. Steffy was too, Will now, previously I think Hope before they introduced her (the previous actress). Bridget is back at least we saw her a few times in the hospital. I still believe they have very limited budget on this show. It's never been so lacking characters as now.

You're right Miah! That's why I will never see Brooke as a victim in this CPS business. She has been ragging on Thomas ever since Douglas said he wanted to spend more time with his dad. She even ragged him out to his own father then barged into his home and started going off on him. Now she wonders why Ridge left. She never supports him yet always feels that things are so wonderful between her and Ridge. The fact that she didn't even notice Ridge pulling away speaks volumes! Even Taylor tried to tell her but she just ignored it. Brooke would rather live in la-la land where everything is fine and dandy and she and Ridge are happy, happy, happy!

Miah, I understand completely, and you are totally right. I've heard over the years that Bell is a Logan lover and I never quite bought into it. However, more and more, it has started to ring true. Maybe it has become more blatant now because what I've been seeing is that every character outside of the Logan clan is vilified due to some altercation with or betrayal of a Logan. They are made to look like victims when they are the most vindictive, spiteful, manipulative and vile creatures on the show. And that includes Hope who has made a sport out of sleeping with a married man or sleeping with someone else while married yet, she still comes out smelling like a rose. Everyone else though is ostracized for their behavior.

There is a lot of potential for really good storylines if they bring the character back. Now that Katie's in the mix, they can go that way. Also, did Quinn and Eric ever divorce? Would also love to see her and Carter in Thomas' corner against Eric and Donna. And, of course, there's also Sheila. She and Quinn have history.
@Tina I think it will take some time before Ridge and Brooke retinite. I can easily see Ridge staying with Taylor despite the CPS debacle. He should stay with her otherwise she'll leave again and we have shortage of important characters. Plus I don't know one person who wants Brooke with Ridge immediately, fans want some change.
Milla, please. The Logan supporters on this blog would very much like to see Ridge and Brooke reunited even if only for the purpose of saying "I told you so" and also to laugh at Steffy. They are practically salivating over the thought. You see it being said everyday.
The only reason they are saying that they are against Ridge and Brooke reuniting is because Ridge dared to leave his Logan and he dared to tell Taylor that he loves her and wants to be with her forever. That is the ONLY reason but, make no mistake, if Ridge and Brooke were to reunite, there would be a lot of happy campers here and then the claim that fans want change would ring hollow.

Hope's speech was really really half-assed (even less than half ass, more like a quarter). Why not prepare before going in there? In fact, starting the whole confrontation was just pointless dragging. The important thing is not to blame Steffy and Taylor for snatching Ridge (of course they would) but to focus on what prompted Ridge to call it quits with Brooke.

To address Steffy… Bill was manipulated into marrying Katie and wanted out of that marriage. Steffy was very young and never actually SLEPT with him while he was married.
Steffy wasn’t actually with Liam until after Hope chucked a tantrum and broke of their engagement. Hope was a teenager at the time using her V Card to get her perfect Disney Princess life and it backfired because she was too young and immature for a real relationship.
Like it or not, Liam truly fell in love with Steffy and had never stopped loving her. Liam asked Steffy to marry him and tried to stop them (infamous gondola episode) Bill didn’t want his son with a spoiled adolescent so he helped make sure that didn’t happen. Liam was free to marry who he wanted, that was Steffy but Hope fans will NEVER face that, it’s always Steffy tricked him blah blah… he chose to marry her!!!
Steffy endured years of mmm of Hope chasing her husband and actively trying to break them up, sleeping with Steffy’s husband, getting engaged to Steffy’s husband, rinse repeat.
Fast forward to 3rd marriage Liam cheated on Steffy with Sally Spectra and just had to tell her to clear his conscience. Steffy was distraught and went to the Forrester guest house to be ALONE and process what she thought was the end of her marriage.
Bill stalked her to find out where she was, after obsessing over her and with the full intent to steal her from his son.
Bill banged down the door, Steffy told him numerous times to leave and he barged in anyway. Bill told her over and over to LEAVE Liam, he would always disappoint her etc. The whole time Bill was there , Steffy was begging him to leave her alone. Bill plied her with copious amounts of alcohol and played on her grief which culminated in them having sex. Bill, obsessed with Steffy, then went home and made plans to fly Steffy to his yacht and live happily ever after!!! Steffy wasn’t chasing Bill, that’s the wrong way around.
Fast forward to Mannequingate… Steffy was DATING Finn for a few months. She had moved on from Lame and had NO interest in being with him again. She wasn’t thinking about or pursuing Liam after SHE made the decision to get off the toxic rollercoaster with him and Hope and told the pair of them to just be together. Even when he came back when Hope divorced him Steffy sent him back to Hope after they found out about Beth being alive.
Liam had no trouble believing Hope could kiss Thomas while married to him because well she slept with Liam while she was married to Wyatt! She also slept with Liam every time he was married to Steffy so he knew her respect for marriage wasn’t very high.
Liam refused to confront Hope about what he thought he saw and heard. Liam went straight to Steffy’s house,not his father or brother to his ex wife. Liam LIED to Hope about where he was. Steffy told Liam that he should go home and talk to his wife, that he must be mistaken. Steffy kept telling him to go home and work it out with Hope. Liam started drinking on his own, drowning his sorrows. Liam talked about what a huge mistake being with Hope was, how unhappy he was. After they slept together he begged Steffy to leave Finn, they were only dating a few months after all and to be his wife and family with their daughter again. Liam talked about how he never stopped loving her, she’s the love of his life etc. Steffy said NO go back to your wife, Steffy chose Finn.
Steffy wasn’t pursuing either Spencer at that point, she had told them both to go numerous times and Bill and Liam CHOSE TO STAY and didn’t take NO for an answer!!! But of course it’s ALL Steffy’s fault.
I love how Hope and Brooke are blameless when they deliberately set out to break up a marriage. How you all call Steffy a slut etc but Hope is pure, blameless and classy. Those definitions must have changed to the opposite since I last checked.

@Lynn, there were a few years I tuned out, but I still read the soap synopsis every week at that time. However, I can't remember every line that's ever been spoken on the show, unlike all these amazing people on this blog who clearly have total recall memory that goes back to 1987. It's freaking amazing isn't it? I can't even remember everything that's happened in MY life for the past 40 years, but these ladies can remember every detail of a soap opera. It's uncanny!!
Hilary, you are welcome to go back to the times we’ve mentioned.. these were major story lines, not just day to day dialogue.. of course I don’t remember word for word.. but I do remember the major story lines.. and I don’t claim to remember ALL of the history, but what I do remember, I know happened, or I would not say it!!
Just bring up the very first episode, where I said Brooke was almost raped.. I can even tell you she was wearing a light blue denim dress, that was torn by her attackers, she tried to hide it from a young Katie, who she sent upstairs, when a close friend/ want to be love interest who was a cop, showed up.. she told him she was walking home after university classes, and that there were 3 of them and they tried to shove her into a van, and she somehow got away, and that she just ran and ran.. Go back and watch it if you don’t believe me 🤣🤣🤣 but that’s all I remember of that episode.. 🤣🤣🤣
@Lynn how long have you watched it? I think you'd really really like the 1990s and 2000s. It's been since mid-2010s they started ruining it. Back then we had amazing storylines, amazing locations (Portofino, Venice, middle East, Mexico) and in the very early years Brooke and Taylor were so beautiful it hurt my eyes. I haven't seen two more beautiful women on daytime tv.
I can attest to that, Milla. KKL and HT were drop dead gorgeous! There wasn't any woman on any other soap back then who could compare. Although, back then, I was only looking at Y&R, Santa Barbara and Sunset Beach.
I agree ladies, they were absolutely the two most stunning women on daytime television.. I looooved the early days, it was all glamour, stunning locations and sets, and the fashion shows were awesome, it gave you an insight how it all really works, and I loooved the rivals and what they used to do.. Sally Spectra was sooo funny and cheeky and lovable.. She was the epitome of an underdog!! I always rooted for her!! The characters had real personalities back then.. And the humour, was more than not.. there’s barely any humour now, just tears and more tears.. that must be so exhausting on the actors, having to be constantly emotional and stressed all the time!! Back then, there was a complete balance of everything..
@ Milla, I watched in the 80’s when the show first started. But only watched when I could. Not consistently. Then I started watching again in May or June of 2018. I used to think Taylor was sooooo pretty! She really stood out as a strikingly beautiful and classy woman. At that time I liked Taylor and Brooke both. Definitely didn’t have a favorite. It wasn’t till I got onto this blog and started fighting back against all the over the top Brooke hate that I became a diehard Brooke fan! Ironic huh! 😂😂😂

Colly, she knows she didn’t call CPS. So what is she supposed to be piecing together? Ridge knew where she stood on the Douglas custody thing over a week ago. Nothing changed….so of course she would wonder why Ridge is going ballistic now. She is a very sharp tool in the shed actually.
Well, if you think about it, she had a spat to Ridge about the knife thing, and made the threat to call cps.. then Ridge went to the office straight after that, spoke to Thomas and told Thomas what she said.. Then the whole cps coming to Erics happened right after that.. After that, Ridge called Brooke and asked her if she made the call, she adamantly said no, but “understood why” he asked her that, because she threatened to do it, and boom they turn up and he is asking if it was her.. so then he went to Brooke’s and they spoke about it, and she said she “certainly” doesn’t know who it was, and the way Ridge was talking and acting, it was pretty obvious by then, that he suspected her.. She didn’t pick that up, then straight after she said that, he walked out and she was like wth, and he went to Erics, then Aspen without telling her.. She finds out, that he went to Aspen, and knowing Taylor was there..
She picked up the fact he went to Taylor, but didn’t pick up that it was strange how he acted, the things he said, his sudden departure, right after the cps thing, yet she was thinking on the plane remembering the call, when he asked her.. Then he tells her he is back with Taylor, and during that conversation, she picks up that she has obviously done something, so one would think that he has assumed she made the cps call and didn’t believe her.. if she knows him so well, and with the course of events, in my mind, I would have picked that up.. You would think she would piece it together and think that would be why?? If it were days after the cps, then yes, it would be confusing.. But, the way it all went down, and she thought about it on the plane, then their conversation where she worked out she did something specific.. that’s just how I see it, and I think that me personally would have picked that up easily.. There were sooo many clues, how did she not suspect that he might think it was her.. then even when Hope brought up about could it be over Douglas, she still didn’t pick it up, why, because in that moment with Hope, she went straight into attack Thomas again mode..
She and Ridge have been married a very long time. They know each other very well. And just like Ridge was so sure Brooke wouldn’t lie to him, Brooke is sure that when he asks her a direct question - and she directly answers him, he would believe her. They have a lot of years of trusting what the other says. So I don’t think she thinks that Ridge truly doesn’t believe her. And she knows she isn’t lying. So she thinks that can’t be it. If Ridge’s balls were bigger than 2 raisins he would tell Brooke what he is so upset about and why he ran to Taylor. But unfortunately his balls are raisin sized!! He’s a narcissistic, selfish coward!!! And I am hoping she NEVER takes that waffler back - not ever!!
She and Ridge have been married for years and built trust??? Are we watching the same show??? She Ridge were divorced just a few years ago because she hates his son and gave him ultimatums! And there was her making out with Bill being revealed too! She cheated on her husband, again. Remember he married Shauna in a drunken stupor. They finally got back together and then the whole Deacon thing. I’m laughing every time she says, “Our home.” What a joke, she told Ridge in no uncertain terms that it was HER home and Deacon would be there regardless of what he felt. Then the New Years kiss and gaslighting poor Douglas. Things between Ridge and Brooke NEVER got back to a close intimate relationship. FYI Brooke claimed to know Ridge so well before she met him, because she stocked him through the tabloids lol. Talk about obsession. Brooke has always believed she knows best and better for everyone than they do themselves. That arrogance is why she cannot fathom Ridge actually calling it quits. She has always gotten her way by hook or by crook over the years. She’s gone to extremes and done horrid things to get her destiny. She knows she’s done so much, there has to be a time when Ridge says enough!!!
Brooke lies as easy as she breathes. She has lied to Ridge a million times over the years and only tells the truth when she’s caught out and cannot wiggle out of it.
I’m not sure if you are replying to my comment above on the timeline. I’m saying from the beginning when Thomas first took possession of Douglas until the time the CPS call occurred. Days had passed. My guess is at least a week between Brooke being upset about the Douglas situation and when Thomas made the call to CPS.
No I am talking about the day it all happened.. she should have known that was what Ridge thought she did wrong.. as explained the days events above, all that happened in the one day, so she should have picked up that was it..

However, more and more, it has started to ring true. Maybe it has become more blatant now because what I've been seeing is that every character outside of the Logan clan is vilified due to some altercation with or betrayal of a Logan. They are made to look like victims when they are the most vindictive, spiteful, manipulative and vile creatures on the show. And that includes Hope who has made a sport out of sleeping with a married man or sleeping with someone else while married yet, she still comes out smelling like a rose. Like it or not, Liam truly fell in love with Steffy and had never stopped loving her. Liam asked Steffy to marry him and tried to stop them (infamous gondola episode) Bill didn’t want his son with a spoiled adolescent so he helped make sure that didn’t happen. Liam was free to marry who he wanted, that was Steffy but Hope fans will NEVER face that, it’s always Steffy tricked him blah blah… he chose to marry her!!!
Steffy endured years of mmm of Hope chasing her husband and actively trying to break them up, sleeping with Steffy’s husband, getting engaged to Steffy’s husband, rinse repeat.
Fast forward to 3rd marriage
Liam cheated on Steffy with Sally Spectra and just had to tell her to clear his conscience. Steffy was distraught and went to the Forrester guest house to be ALONE and process what she thought was the end of her marriage.
Bill stalked her to find out where she was, after obsessing over her and with the full intent to steal her from his son.
Bill banged down the door, Steffy told him numerous times to leave and he barged in anyway. Bill told her over and over to LEAVE Liam, he would always disappoint her etc. The whole time Bill was there , Steffy was begging him to leave her alone. Bill plied her with copious amounts of alcohol and played on her grief which culminated in them having sex. Bill, obsessed with Steffy, then went home and made plans to fly Steffy to his yacht and live happily ever after!!! Steffy wasn’t chasing Bill, that’s the wrong way around.
Fast forward to Mannequingate… Steffy was DATING Finn for a few months. She had moved on from Lame and had NO interest in being with him again. She wasn’t thinking about or pursuing Liam after SHE made the decision to get off the toxic rollercoaster with him and Hope and told the pair of them to just be together. Even when he came back when Hope divorced him Steffy sent him back to Hope after they found out about Beth being alive.
Liam had no trouble believing Hope could kiss Thomas while married to him because well she slept with Liam while she was married to Wyatt! She also slept with Liam every time he was married to Steffy so he knew her respect for marriage wasn’t very high.
Liam refused to confront Hope about what he thought he saw and heard. Liam went straight to Steffy’s house,not his father or brother to his ex wife. Liam LIED to Hope about where he was. Steffy told Liam that he should go home and talk to his wife, that he must be mistaken. Steffy kept telling him to go home and work it out with Hope. Liam started drinking on his own, drowning his sorrows. Liam talked about what a huge mistake being with Hope was, how unhappy he was. After they slept together he begged Steffy to leave Finn, they were only dating a few months after all and to be his wife and family with their daughter again. Liam talked about how he never stopped loving her, she’s the love of his life etc. Steffy said NO go back to your wife, Steffy chose Finn.
Steffy wasn’t pursuing either Spencer at that point, she had told them both to go numerous times and Bill and Liam CHOSE TO STAY and didn’t take NO for an answer!!! But of course it’s ALL Steffy’s fault.
I love how Hope and Brooke are blameless when they deliberately set out to break up a marriage. How you all call Steffy a slut etc but Hope is pure, blameless and classy. Those definitions must have changed to the opposite since I last checked.

However, I can't remember every line that's ever been spoken on the show, unlike all these amazing people on this blog who clearly have total recall memory that goes back to 1987. It's freaking amazing isn't it? I can't even remember everything that's happened in MY life for the past 40 years, but these ladies can remember every detail of a soap opera. It's uncanny!!

Delete@Lynn how long have you watched it? I think you'd really really like the 1990s and 2000s. It's been since mid-2010s they started ruining it. Back then we had amazing storylines, amazing locations (Portofino, Venice, middle East, Mexico) and in the very early years Brooke and Taylor were so beautiful it hurt my eyes. I haven't seen two more beautiful women on daytime tv.
DeleteI can attest to that, Milla. KKL and HT were drop dead gorgeous! There wasn't any woman on any other soap back then who could compare. Although, back then, I was only looking at Y&R, Santa Barbara and Sunset Beach.

DeleteI agree ladies, they were absolutely the two most stunning women on daytime television.. I looooved the early days, it was all glamour, stunning locations and sets, and the fashion shows were awesome, it gave you an insight how it all really works, and I loooved the rivals and what they used to do.. Sally Spectra was sooo funny and cheeky and lovable.. She was the epitome of an underdog!! I always rooted for her!! The characters had real personalities back then.. And the humour, was more than not.. there’s barely any humour now, just tears and more tears.. that must be so exhausting on the actors, having to be constantly emotional and stressed all the time!! Back then, there was a complete balance of everything..
Delete@ Milla, I watched in the 80’s when the show first started. But only watched when I could. Not consistently. Then I started watching again in May or June of 2018. I used to think Taylor was sooooo pretty! She really stood out as a strikingly beautiful and classy woman. At that time I liked Taylor and Brooke both. Definitely didn’t have a favorite. It wasn’t till I got onto this blog and started fighting back against all the over the top Brooke hate that I became a diehard Brooke fan! Ironic huh! 😂😂😂

Deletelama, the fact that Brooke still didn’t realise “what she had done”, when Hope asked if could be because of the custody battle over Douglas, and Ridge saying to her to just say it?? She knows that she did something, he left right after after the cps thing, and she still can’t put two and two together.. she’s not the smartest cookie in the jar, or the sharpest tool in the shed, is she!!
DeleteColly, she knows she didn’t call CPS. So what is she supposed to be piecing together? Ridge knew where she stood on the Douglas custody thing over a week ago. Nothing changed….so of course she would wonder why Ridge is going ballistic now. She is a very sharp tool in the shed actually.
DeleteWell, if you think about it, she had a spat to Ridge about the knife thing, and made the threat to call cps.. then Ridge went to the office straight after that, spoke to Thomas and told Thomas what she said.. Then the whole cps coming to Erics happened right after that.. After that, Ridge called Brooke and asked her if she made the call, she adamantly said no, but “understood why” he asked her that, because she threatened to do it, and boom they turn up and he is asking if it was her.. so then he went to Brooke’s and they spoke about it, and she said she “certainly” doesn’t know who it was, and the way Ridge was talking and acting, it was pretty obvious by then, that he suspected her.. She didn’t pick that up, then straight after she said that, he walked out and she was like wth, and he went to Erics, then Aspen without telling her.. She finds out, that he went to Aspen, and knowing Taylor was there..
DeleteShe picked up the fact he went to Taylor, but didn’t pick up that it was strange how he acted, the things he said, his sudden departure, right after the cps thing, yet she was thinking on the plane remembering the call, when he asked her.. Then he tells her he is back with Taylor, and during that conversation, she picks up that she has obviously done something, so one would think that he has assumed she made the cps call and didn’t believe her.. if she knows him so well, and with the course of events, in my mind, I would have picked that up.. You would think she would piece it together and think that would be why?? If it were days after the cps, then yes, it would be confusing.. But, the way it all went down, and she thought about it on the plane, then their conversation where she worked out she did something specific.. that’s just how I see it, and I think that me personally would have picked that up easily.. There were sooo many clues, how did she not suspect that he might think it was her.. then even when Hope brought up about could it be over Douglas, she still didn’t pick it up, why, because in that moment with Hope, she went straight into attack Thomas again mode..
She and Ridge have been married a very long time. They know each other very well. And just like Ridge was so sure Brooke wouldn’t lie to him, Brooke is sure that when he asks her a direct question - and she directly answers him, he would believe her. They have a lot of years of trusting what the other says. So I don’t think she thinks that Ridge truly doesn’t believe her. And she knows she isn’t lying. So she thinks that can’t be it.

DeleteShe and Ridge have been married for years and built trust??? Are we watching the same show??? She Ridge were divorced just a few years ago because she hates his son and gave him ultimatums! And there was her making out with Bill being revealed too! She cheated on her husband, again. Remember he married Shauna in a drunken stupor. They finally got back together and then the whole Deacon thing. I’m laughing every time she says, “Our home.” What a joke, she told Ridge in no uncertain terms that it was HER home and Deacon would be there regardless of what he felt. Then the New Years kiss and gaslighting poor Douglas. Things between Ridge and Brooke NEVER got back to a close intimate relationship. FYI Brooke claimed to know Ridge so well before she met him, because she stocked him through the tabloids lol. Talk about obsession. Brooke has always believed she knows best and better for everyone than they do themselves. That arrogance is why she cannot fathom Ridge actually calling it quits. She has always gotten her way by hook or by crook over the years. She’s gone to extremes and done horrid things to get her destiny. She knows she’s done so much, there has to be a time when Ridge says enough!!!

ReplyDeleteI’m not sure if you are replying to my comment above on the timeline. I’m saying from the beginning when Thomas first took possession of Douglas until the time the CPS call occurred. Days had passed. My guess is at least a week between Brooke being upset about the Douglas situation and when Thomas made the call to CPS.
