Props didn't think Ridge could do anything that didn't flatter his ego. It was the least he could do. His reason to win was he wanted to take over the company. Well within 6 months when Eric keels over, he gets his wish anyway.

Yes that part was definitely good, Steffy saying she's not running from Sheila no more. The part with the kids was so fake that it bordered on parody, something that should be on SNL.

DeleteI am wondering if Carter is gonna spill the beans to Eric since Carter knows nothing about what Ridge did in telling Eric he won? I figured Ridge would give it to him once he found out the truth. Glad Mr Pompous did the right thing. Eric looks so happy….I hope he never finds out the truth about who really won.

I hope the same Ladies. Btw Mmysh it would be really amazing if Li or Finn found a cure for Eric. Do you remember Mmysh when Bridget found a cure (online!) for Katie's heart or when Stephanie somehow cured Felicia? Very interesting miracles have happened.
DeleteRidge did a noble thing for sure. I also hope that Eric doesn't now decide to go back to work. Steffy can shuffle her papers on her own, but for his own health and the peace of everyone who loves him Eric should retire. Or he can continue mentoring (in moderation) RJ and further develop that talent of his that makes some folks here so discontent 😅
And yes the Kelly girl is the one who makes Hayes look adorable to me in comparison. That voice and especially combined with those idiotic lines they are making the poor girl say 🙉🙉. I'm 10000% sure in real life she sounds much more normal.

Indeed Mmysh I was also wodnering if Thomas had been asked to help Eric, the attitude towards him/them would be the same. Doubtful. Btw RJ is so sweet, I love that they gave him a real role at long last. And I really hope he develops and has a more permanent role in the company. I am kinda enjoying reading all the angry comments how the writers are obviously favoring him just like I enjoy reading how Logans are always being propped up 😁😁

Yeah that speech Eric gave to Ridge, that sounded like a power-grabbing whacked out grandpa out to "destroy" his son alright. The encouragement and acknowledgement of talent at the end were particularly gruesome. Not to mention the hug 🙄

DeleteHaha. I wonder what Eric's reaction would have been if Ridge had told him the truth? Eric's words of encouragement and acknowledgement of talent were insincere and fake flattery, if you ask me. For weeks, we've had to endure Eric saying that he will always be the master and that he will beat Ridge and take back his company. Eric would be singing a different tune if he had found out that he had lost.

DeleteI think Eric would have walked out of that office feeling beaten, sad and ready to die. I don’t think he would have been snide to Ridge. What would that have accomplished? This perceived “win” will make him fight for his life. And zero mention of Eric kicking Ridge and Steffy out of their rightful places at FC.
DeleteWhat "would" we can only speculate. Eric never intended to destroy Ridge or remove any of his children. He said a few times that he wants to be back running FC but never said that means he wants them out. That sounded a little paranoid when I read it here. Don't worry Steffy will continue to hold her papers and say amazing, nobody is taking that from her.
DeleteBut yes if we play the "would", I also think that a defeat would have seriously physically hit Eric and he may have had a stroke and absolutely no chance to express any (imaginary) hate and desire to destroy Ridge. Also because he never had that impulse to begin with.
