ReplyDeletebefore i even finish watching it i have to say rj has more restraint than i would at this point with zende. he only went over there to disturb his and lunas night..he is so jealous of rj its a bit un nerving. he needs to get over it,,he wasn't all butt hurt when hope basically kicked him to the curb to bring thomas back in as head designer. i don't give it long before rj lets him really have it and then there will be a family war going on.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. I've always been kind of "meh" about the character of R.J., but he really went way up in my estimation today. It seems like he's really trying to maintain a positive relationship with Zende, while Zende is just being an ass.
DeleteIt looked like RJ was really refraining himself. I was waiting for the punch in the face. Have a feeling Zende is going to cause alot of problems for RJ and Luna. Let's hope he is bordering being obsessed and psychotic. We need some excitement. It's getting really boring.

ReplyDeleteZende is a jerk! He asked RJ how he would feel if he was in his place. Zende should feel BLESSED and THANKFUL to come from an orphanage, and he was adopted into that family. If he's talented enough someone will noticed eventually. If he doesn't like the situation, he should take his talents elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteAs for Thomas and Hope, I just can't be happy about them as a couple. Coworkers, co-parents. Yes. If I was Hope I don't think I would be able to get past all those things from the past. Everytime I looked at my daughter, I would think about what Thomas did. I could not be all hot and heavy in a sexual relationship, and definitely not marry him. But that's just me.

Lynn, I think having Thomas pressure Hope like that is the writers' way of building up the tension right before she gives him a Yes or No answer next week (and you already know which one I'm predicting). But I agree, he needs to give her time like he said he would. And regarding Zende, I think they're setting him up to be the next villain. With both Thomas and Sheila on their best behavior, the only real villain on the show these days is is Li. But both Li and Zende are just pests who like to lash out at people. I need a villain I can "love to hate," somebody who actually commits villainous acts. Not just people being mean to their relatives out of jealousy and spite.

I hope Ren is right that we hear a Yes next week and I actually also hope for a yes 😂 and this is why: if she says yes, it means something will happen to break them up. DeleteBtw the way Ridge was comparing Steffy and Finn to Hope and Thomas and what they have been through. Hellloo?? Steffy and Finn love each other. Never one of them hesitated and had to be pressured into saying it. All of their challenges were "us against the challenge" and not "me trying to get you for decades while you never loved me".
Milla, I think that's exactly what will happen. Thope will get engaged, but they will not actually get married. At least not on the first attempt. There will be something to stop the wedding at the altar, and make me want to throw things at my TV. I have no idea what it will be, as Hope already knows the worst of what Thomas did. Personally I would love to see Xander and Liam team up to discover that Caroline is not actually dead. They need more women on this show anyway, and there's a lot of potential for great storylines if they bring her back.

DeleteMmysh, nah, I hope not. Because of course Thomas would be the killer, and there would be no appeal for me at all in having a storyline where Thomas is an actual murderer. I know you don't think he's changed at all, but to me it would feel like a regression. And a boring one at that, like having Sheila go psycho again. The angle of Thomas as a full-on baddie is played out. They need to let somebody else be a villain for a while.

DeleteI'm not getting 2019 Thomas vibes. If that was the case, we would see lots of scenes of Thomas saying to himself "You will be mine, Hope. It's only a matter of time. You will be mine." And crap like that he used to say, while the sinister music plays and the camera does a lingering close up on his eyes looking all beady. I just don't see that happening.

As for Hope not being happy about it, I think she is still just feeling conflicted. She definitely has feelings for Thomas, otherwise she wouldn't be wearing the ring on her necklace and reassuring him that she knows he's changed, etc. etc. She just isn't ready for marriage yet. By proposing prematurely, Thomas has created a problem where there didn't need to be one, and a sense of urgency that didn't need to be there. It now feels like there are two options for Hope: either dump Thomas and break his heart, or agree to marry him right away. She doesn't want to do either one. I think she just wants to continue on the way they have been. In a committed, monogamous relationship, but not married. And there's nothing wrong with that. Obviously Thomas wants to be married, but I wish he wasn't in such a hurry about it. He needs to go back to the philosophy of "if it's meant to be, it will happen." But Thomas is his own worst enemy sometimes.
DeleteMmysh, sorry, I just don't see it. Sure Thomas is deeply in love with Hope, and sure he's a little intense about it. But I maintain that we have not yet seen him acting or speaking in a way that would qualify as actually obsessive.
DeleteI'm not getting the past vibe from Thomas either but he is pushing Hope too much right now. She is conflicted coming from a marriage she wasn't happy in. Brooke, Liam, Finn and Steffy are on her back. Ridge is the only one to say "they are adults let them figure it out".

DeleteThe way he was low key comparing himself to Liam to show he's better was pure manipulation. And then topped it off how Hope has "never had this". Let the woman say those things herself. She did seem uncomfortable in the end. Really it takes waaaay too long for Hope to be caught in this marriage. Nothing romantic, nothing exciting about this. Marriage proposals and engagements should feel effortless, it should be your biggest joy and honor to say yes. Instead we have Thomas doing a sales pitch over and over again and failing each time. I wonder why.
DeleteBut she has said things like that ("I've never had this before," etc.) so Thomas was just repeating what Hope has said. And Hope has also made a point of comparing Thomas to Liam as well. But yes, it has been a bit awkward lately, beginning with Thomas proposing in the oh-so-romantic setting of their workplace.

DeleteThomas doesn't even need her to say "I love you." He would like to hear those three words, sure, but he doesn't need it. He even said like "I can feel your love for me," or something like that. So he seems to believe that Hope does love him on some level, even if she can't say the words. And I think maybe he's right, although you probably think he's delusional. (Agree to disagree. 😂)

Especially when I have seen them say it so effortlessly to someone much less worthy (in Thomas' head that's what Liam is). But of course I respect your opinion. I have had some strong beliefs in my life about many things and realized that not everyone should share this belief, everyone has their own truth.

DeleteIt’s probably already been mentioned, but it’s just way too soon for Hope to be considering marrying anyone! Is her divorce even final yet ?? I hate Thomas and Hope together, but beyond that…he is just way too pushy and anxious. And I think I mentioned yesterday that there is zero balance of power in this relationship. He worships her and it’s really kind of disgusting.
Milla, thanks for elaborating on why we dislike Hope and Thomas together for Ren. Like you said, we are really mainly disgusted with Hope….a character we like….for being such an idiot when it comes to Thomas. Forgive him for his past deeds - fine. Fall in love and marry him….hell no!!
I don't see any of Thomas' past behaviours but I also agree that he is pushing Hope when he said he wouldn't. However, I think he probably got a bit of encouragement after his talk with Ridge and then Hope telling him what Ridge said about wanting her to be his daughter-in-law. Especially since Hope seems to have received Ridge's sentiments positively based on her telling Thomas that it was sweet of Ridge to say those things.
DeleteYes, Milla's comments regarding Thomas and Hope were very insightful, as I've been trying to figure out why there is this constant stream of unabashed hatred for Thomas on this blog. And I still think it's way over the top and out of proportion, but it now makes a *little* more sense as somewhat misplaced animosity towards Hope. I'm totally "Team Ridge" these days (which is not a normal position for me to be in): They're adults! Give them a break already!

I don't see how race is the issue here. If Zende was an orphanage from Russia or wherever, I don't think things would be any different.
DeleteI also don't think that Zende not being a 'biological Forrester' changes anything, Eric has been nothing but kind to him and treated him like his grandson (I started watching in 2020, no idea what happened before that).
That being said, I do, to a certain extent, agree with the "golden child" comment. Zende is out of line and over-exaggerating, but there is some truth to that in my opinion
I can see where zende is coming from in his past but leave RJ alone it’s all jealousy. And I think one day he might destroy his beach house ,I hope that never happens

DeleteRJ has definitely been treated like royalty since he's been back. He's a designer living on beachfront property in Malibu. And all of this off of an influencer's salary? Surely not!
I also agree about him being thrown into all of the adult storylines. I remember when they were doing the same with Paris. Back then, I remember saying that they should bring back RJ and Will and throw Paris in with them since they all would be around the same age group.
I don't like the way that Zende is acting but I also agree that he must feel like he is being pushed out for golden boy RJ.
