Has he spent quality time with her outside of the office? What exactly does he know about her other than her not being able to keep a relationship?
Loved Ridge's and Steffy's discussion about HFTF and the fact that they are giving it serious thought before making any rash decisions.
Why does Brooke want Hope back with Liam? I'm glad Deacon reminded her about Liam's history of going back and forth between his daughter and Steffy.
The pattern continues 😢. Carter will get his heart broken again.

I liked that Hope didn’t jump into bed with Carter. Would have been REALLY easy to do, given how HOT he is!! Still not fully embracing this new thing between Carter and Hope. And he definitely seems too old for her. But trying to be open minded about it.
DeleteI also liked how Ridge pointed out to Steffy that the Forresters are just as protective of their own as the Logans, when Steffy brought it up as a Logan trait.
All and all, it was another uneventful episode.
I agree, Elle…..Carter telling Hope that the way he feels about her is much different than the way he felt about Katie seemed nothing more than a come-on line. Carter is quite the charmer / player when he wants to be. They haven’t had much in the way of romance yet, yet Hope already trumps the feelings he had for Katie??? I’m not buying it, and neither should Hope.

DeleteElle spot on with all you said! I think Hope knows if Ridge and Steffy find out they will realise why Carter did what he did!! I am glad they showed Steffy on the phone trying to sell Hopes line! It shows that she is trying to help Hope.. Elle the conversation between Ridge and Steffy was great! It proves Steffy doesn’t have personal motives.. And she was right about Brooke..

Colly, I really enjoyed the conversation between Ridge and Steffy raising their true concerns about HFTF and how keeping it can impact the business. I also liked how Ridge was in agreement about Hope and Brooke blaming Steffy if they decide to cut the line.
Agree with all above comments, especially Elle. The only reason Hope wants to keep this a secret, is because she knows now why Carter really stuck up for her and her line. And Carter, when did all these feelings for Hope start? It is strange, especially when we really never knew what happened with Katie, only they're better off as friends. Maybe there is more to him than we know?

Deacon was spot on reminding Brooke, why would any mother want their daughter to go back to Liam and his history? Today was really boring, haven't watched much last week, and wasn't going to get involved by comments over the weekend. I would have said something I might regret.

Lynn, nothing that I've been able to find (and I've been looking) tells me that he is done with the show. He doesn't have anything in the works currently (according to IMDB), so I believe he will return at some point.
DeleteRegarding the Thope storyline, since the actor got married and started a family right away, the show had to write in his absence somehow. For this reason, I don't believe that Thope is over. I also believe it's why we are getting all these unmatched relationships with Hope. Thomas will be back to save her. 😍😍

ReplyDeleteI am getting an uneasy feeling from Carter. He just raved about Hope and her line at the FC Board meeting then, he invites her to his home and proceeds to get hot and heavy with her. It doesn't scream "I am really into you" to me. He is moving way too fast and saying things that don't make sense. Look how quickly he dismissed whatever he had with Katie.

DeleteColly, that thought did cross my mind recently about Hope. I just didn't want to say it. Would hate to see her go down that road. She lost the love of her life then, fell for Thomas, only for him to walk away from her. I can understand her being a little lost but not so far gone as to turn into a completely different person.

She needs to find her own self and identity, without a man or her line.. As Steffy said, without her line, she would be even more lost than she is now! She would be completely lost! She has barely been without a man, and mother has shown her that she can’t be without one, so if she really doesn’t want to be like her mother, she needs to soul search, figure out who she really is or wants to be like, without a man or her line! DeleteThere is no doubt in my mind that Carter is a predator. He goes after all the rejected women for sex and never really dates anyone. Maybe that’s why his relationships don’t ever last. First thing, he says the same cheesy pickup lines and invites them to his apartment together with all those lit candles. Who is he trying to kid, he thought if he pops those buttons on his shirt and shows his chest that he can get her to succumb to him. He should have pulled a Diddy and just given her a spiked drink to get her in the sack so soon. LMAO!
DeleteThose predator vibes is what I'm getting, Roseam. At least with Hope. With Quinn, I felt like he was truly looking for someone to settle down with. Paris was a rebound and him trying to move on from Quinn. Katie came out of nowhere, but I still didn't get the feeling that he was just using her. But this thing with Hope, something is not right.

How can they do that if Hope stipulates that it must be an absolute secret? 🤐 They cannot go to dinner, or whatever. It limits them to closed doors encounters and isn’t a healthy start for a relationship.
DeleteIf Steffy and Ridge decide to cut HFTF, that would show how Hope and Carter truly feel about each other. Carter won't have to pretend that he wants to save Hope's line just to get her in the sack and Hope won't have to pretend she's into Carter just so he can save her line.

ReplyDeleteBrooke is the hopeless romantic and thinks that once you have truly loved someone, ALL can be forgiven….no matter the circumstances of the breakup. That is NOT a healthy way to think. Some relationships are just meant to end, period.

Lynn, I know if someone did to my daughter , what Liam did to Hope, all the going back and forth, I certainly wouldn’t encourage her to go back to him.. In all honesty , I wouldn’t take any relationship advice from Brooke.. I would encourage Hope to stay single and find her true self before jumping into another relationship! Steffy was correct, Hopes identity has always been her line, and she needs to find herself outside of her line and a man!
DeleteColly, I think that’s a very tall order. I think if Steffy was asked to step down from her position at FC or be expected to be single if Finn were to dump her, that wouldn’t be reasonable to expect her to be perfectly fine. Careers are an important part of people’s identity no matter the business type or role they play in a company. Hope has had too many life altering events thrown at her at once. I think we need to cut her some slack.

Brooke needs to put Liam out of her head as the perfect man for Hope. He simply is not.
Lynn, Steffy was completely in love with Liam. When things ended between them, Steffy remained single for a long time before meeting Finn. I think Hope needs to pause on trying to find a man and instead try to figure out what she wants. Running from man to man is not going to help her. I do agree that a lot has happened in her life. All the more reason why she needs to slow down and give herself a minute.
DeleteShe may want to do that. She is young and beautiful and in her prime. She may not be interested in taking too much time before she starts dating again. Each person is different. And while Steffy did take time between relationships, her tenure at FC wasn’t being threatened. And that’s an important distinction. People can only take so much upset in their lives before it affects them in a very negative way.

Colly, I am not sure what to attribute the slow down in sales to other than the designs. The messaging hasn’t changed. So if Zende and RJ still aren’t as good as Thomas was in putting her vision down on paper, then I am not sure what else Hope can do. Clearly, this all started going downhill when Thomas stopped designing for the line. And maybe Zende / RJ just won’t get there (to the Thomas level designs) in time to save the line. All I know is that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy / Hope a dull girl! She needs a good balance in her life. Balance is the key to life!!

BBFAN, I thought the ad that Liam created for HFTF was actually pretty good. I think her messaging has stayed mostly the same as it was when she and Thomas were handing the line together. Not to say that she couldn’t expand on that.

Hope's message when HFTF was birthed, was tied into Hope's persona - her morals and values. However, when she gave away her virginity to Liam, who was still married to Steffy, her line took a hit. There was a lot of gossip about her, and it took her line further downhill when she started using drugs. HFTF did not recover. This was until they brought in Thomas (previous actor) to save the line. So Thomas has been designing for HFTF for some time. The focus went to his relationship with Hope so there wasn't much about how well the line was doing or not doing. It was left to the imagination that with Thomas on board, things started looking up for HFTF.
DeleteWhen Matthew Atkinson took over the role, again, there were varying dynamics between Thomas and Hope, which all culminated in what we have now. We constantly heard Hope say that Thomas is the only one to understand her vision, a vision she never expounded upon. So, it's up in the air as to what the line is supposed to represent today. With buyers bowing out, it seems the designs are not great anyway, whether her vision is clear or not.
