ReplyDeleteThis is what I meant when I said yesterday that the things Carter are saying makes no sense. This is the same man who goes around making important business decisions based on his personal feelings!
And speaking of important business decisions, is Carter suggesting not only do they continue to push money into a failing HFTF, but to also bring on another line to push money into?
I think Carter wants to use Ivy's line and merge it into HFTF and maybe even Brookes Bedroomline and Couture down the road. But I think his main reason is to make the jewelry compliment Hopes line, to begin with, so that they sell both the jewelry AND HFTF. It's a bold and smart move.

DeleteCarter wants to deflect from the downward spiral HFTF is in by throwing money into a new line, which would be potentially very lucrative as well as throwing insane money and resources at a failing one.
He’s all over the place.
Carter’s attitude about HFTF was off… he said he had given his opinion.. yes and Ridge and Steffy listen to it but they make final decisions.
DeleteIt was clear that Steffy was confused by the complete about face by Carter. Especially when the numbers directly contradict what he is pushing for. I would say they have really invested a lot in the line and if they don’t want Forrester back on the brink of bankruptcy they have to make wise decisions!
@Elle, he contacted Ivy because he wants to use Ivy to keep Liam busy so Liam can stop asking Hope to take him back, it's all self gain with Carter 🚩he seeyto think he owns the company making all these decisions without consulting Steffy. As for HOpe, she couldn't resist bad mouthing Steffy in a round about way to Will, always the Hogan victim which is so tiring 🥱
DeleteMalin, it's a bold move indeed, but also a very risky one. Where HFTF is concerned, if the designs are bad, how much turnaround can adding some jewelry to it accomplish? It would require buyers having to purchase the jewelry to compliment the bad designs.

Elle, who is Ivy’s dad ?
DeleteIvy's dad was Eric's brother, Lynn. His name was John Forrester. He was introduced when Ivy was introduced since, prior to her appearance in LA, we never saw him. I can't remember if Eric ever mentioned he had a brother but I know he was never seen on the show prior to Ivy's appearance.

DeleteMalin, I agree its a bold move and maybe smart. They have to start thinking of the younger generation. Times have changed since Eric, Ridge, Brooke started the the bedroom and couture lines. So bringing in younger gens makes sense. But!! I also think Carter might be thinking, now Ivy is back Liam will be less of a threat. Who ever said Carter is giving predator vibes, I get the same feeling. Maybe that's why Quinn got out fast, Katie for some reason just wants to be friends.

It’s interesting that unlike Brooke etc, Steffy doesn’t just hand out jobs like sweets to family members. She actually considers the company.
That is hysterical about Hope wool gathering about Carter saving her line… just right. It is mad how she and Brooke expect Forrester to keep throwing money and resources into HFTF as the buyers are pulling out and it’s failing so badly.
I had to laugh when Hope was whinging about her advertising budget not being the same as BB which is currently crushing it!
Brooke’s comments about Carter were very telling. It shouldn’t be personal, but purely business.
Honestly, I hope Hope will focus on becoming a strong woman in her own right and not use a man to accomplish her goals. Part of maturity is accepting that one doesn’t always get one’s way!
DeleteBrooke is enabling negative behaviours. I think Brooke genuinely loves and wants to support her daughter. However, teaching them that they are entitled to always get their own way and bashing and vilifying anyone who won’t fall into line is not helpful!
@BBFan, can't wait to see Hopes face knowing Ivy is back, Ivy still wants Liam....I think Carter brought her back to keep Liam busy while he tries to get what he wants from HOpe...it's self gain for Carter.

@CC Ivy and Liam were an item....I think Carter brought her back to keep Liam busy while he tries to get Hopeless in the sack. Hope couldn't resist bad mouthing Steffy in a round about way to Will. She does absolutely NOTHING at work, she just sits around or walks around or has sex on the office desk...that's it, pretty much zero, hence the failing line 🤣🤣🤣
DeleteCC, back when Ivy was on the show, she and Liam had a brief thing going. They weren't in a relationship or anything, just out on a few dates. Steffy was out of the show but returned and she and Liam started reconnecting. Ivy was working on the jewelry line with Quinn, who encouraged her to go after Liam however, Quinn had her motives for doing what she did. She wanted Steffy free to be with Wyatt.
DeleteAnyway, Ivy ran into some issues with Immigration and suggested to Liam that they marry so that she doesn't get deported, which Liam does without telling Steffy. Of course, when Steffy found it, the chit hit the fan! Steffy let Liam have it, then she let Ivy have it. Eventually, Ivy's immigration issues got sorted out when Immigration informed her that they had made a mistake and she was not in danger of being deported. She struggled with whether or not to tell Liam the truth but eventually did so that they can divorce and he and Steffy could be together.

DeleteThe relationship between Steffy and Ivy went downhill from there. Ivy got involved with Wyatt and cheated on him, which Steffy found out. They had an altercation because Ivy felt that Steffy was interfering in her life. Things got physical and Steffy pushed Ivy off her her, which led to Ivy being electrocuted. Good times! Lol!
Oh Carter, you are SO transparent, you brought Ivy back KNOWING full well she still has feelings for Liam 🤣 to distract Liam from making moves on HOpeless 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Four Hogan's Vs Four Foresters now, I wonder how Hopeless will feel now that ivy is back, she's bound to put the moves on Liam now that she's back 🤣 wow, Carter really needs to quit telling Steffy what to do, you'd swear he owns the company 🤔🚩

Shouldn't Steffy discuss it with Ridge before giving Ivy an answer? Carter did kinda ambush Steffy there. It would be ironic if Ridge and Steffy decide to go forward with Ivy and the jewelry line, but it means they cannot afford to continue with HFTF. And Hope's hero Carter set the whole thing in motion.

DeleteToday, there was a lot of mention of Ridge focusing on design and Steffy running the company. I think we are supposed to accept that the decision to bring on Ivy and Electra is all on Steffy. I believe Carter said something to that effect as well.
Ridge stepped back completely from day to day. He weighs in, but it has been established that Steffy has final say on HFTF, since Ridge took the unilateral decision on Brooke and Brooke’s Bedroom line.
DeleteSteffy got accused of trying to kill Ivy right after Ivy had video of Steffy killing her younger cousin. She deleted the video and then had a number of "accidents" where it was heavily implied that Steffy was trying to kill her. Steffy hates her cause of Liam but Ivy hates her cause well she put her in the hospital and Liam. Ivy is also a blood relative to Eric and well Ridge and his family are not so there's a bit of a divide there.

Had no idea who John was, and Steffy saying sorry all the time. It was confusing. But who is Electra in the family tree, or are Ivy and Electra the only blood relatives of Eric, Ridge and his family are not?

Lynn, Ivy’s mum is Claire Forrester (wife of the late John Forrester) but I don’t know anything about her. Other than they live in Australia.
DeleteStef to be fair, Aly was mentally unhinged. She slashed Steffy’s tyres, and was trying to kill her. Steffy defended herself and accidentally killed Aly.

Aly told Steffy she was going to kill her in the same place that Steffy’s mum killed her mum.
Ivy and Aly were best mates so she didn’t take it well.
D Ridge has Eric’s name on his birth certificate and is his son in every sense of the, except genetics. Ridge found out as an adult that he is half brother to Nick Marone.

Stephanie and her Father started Forrester Creations and put up all the capital! Eric was the lead designer and name and face of the company!
Stephanie’s father left her the company when he died, Eric hid the documentation from her so Stephanie was unaware. She only found out after Eric and Brooke threw her out of Forrester and Catherine Chancellor (Y&R, good friend of Mr Douglas, Stephanie’s father) flew to Los Angeles to tell her.
So Ridge and his progeny have every right to be there and run things!

DeleteI think Stephanie Forrester was the real true owner of Forrester Creations. She and Eric started the company using Stephanie money inherited from her dad. Ridge is Stephanie son, but not Eric. So I think Ridge still has inheritory rights and ownership

Remember when Eric and Brooke kicked her out of Forrester? Eric had hidden documents showing Stephanie was the owner.
Catherine Chancellor from Y&R flew out and told Stephanie about it and all hell broke loose!
So Ridge, Thomas, Steffy, Douglas etc all have a hereditary right to Forrester.
Also, Eric’s name is on Ridge’s birth certificate and he continues to claim him as his son, regardless of genetics.
What is Carter doing? Is this suppose to help HFTF or is he planning to threaten it, seeing that Hope rejected his advances. He was just in the meeting the other day lobbying for a bigger budget for HFTF now he is bringing on a new business expense. Shouldn't that be the money he wants to sink into HFTF. It seems stepfie would now have a better reason to cut HFTF. How is hope going to feel about this? Will she feel like Carter is abandoning HFTF. Maybe it's Carter's plan to have Hope chase him.
ReplyDeleteI think Carter has an agenda to benefit himself in some way. We will see. Steffy, and Ridge now after Steffy talked to him, is already questioning his sudden push to keep HFTF going even though its costing the company. As you said now sink money into something new??
DeleteCarter should be thankful that Eric didn’t fire his ass for being such a traitor and screwing his wife Quinn. If he keeps bedding all the women in the company, if should be fired. Carter has no friends outside FC, he’s a predator who uses FC as his hunting ground. No one wants him as a long term love interest. Now he’s even trying to run the company and he’s only paid to give advice, which doesn’t happen to be in the interest of the company but only benefiting his own sexual interests.
