Hope knows her line is doomed.
She’s been openly disrespectful and insubordinate for months at work. She is an employee and talks down to the CEOs like they’re her servants!
She goaded Steffy nonstop, and tried to seduce her husband which failed. Now she’s painting herself as a victim to manipulate Carter to help keep her line.
Hope whines to Brooke constantly so she will use her sway as Ridge’s girlfriend to persuade him to keep HFTF going.
That is failing so she’s stepping up the victim routine.
Steffy has a right to be concerned based on Hope’s ongoing behaviour! True she needs to dial back the threats.
That said any company IRL would have fired Hope long ago for insubordination, inappropriate conduct, etc etc.
The ONLY reason HFTF is still going is because Hope is Brooke’s daughter!
Like Steffy said and Eric and Ridge agreed, if anyone but Hope was involved, that line would have been ancient history!
Ridge has said a 100 times in the last week, it’s not personal it’s business!

Look at Brooke lying to cover for Hope and Carter. At least she sees issues and is addressing them with Carter. He’s going to be the one getting hurt. If HFTF closes, Hope will dump him and on the next fella that can give her what she wants.
She’s backing Carter also because she knows he wants to take control from the Forrester family and she and Brooke think the Logan’s deserve to be in control.
I like they complain about being under valued when they all have huge salaries and do whatever they want!

Steffy knows something is up. And Hope cannot hide it for long. Hope pulled away from Carter the first time they attempted to be intimate. However, as soon as Hope saw Carter rooting for her and HFTF at the last meeting, she couldn't wait to ravage him. I don't know what is going on with Hope, but I'm sure it will end with Carter being disappointed. Steffy was right to warn him.

I still see no chemistry between Carter and Hope, but I am very invested in this Steffy/Carter/Hope storyline. Carter looked like he was about to body slam Steffy!
So Brooke thinks that Hope did not love Thomas - that it was all about his loyalty to her. And she thinks Liam is who Hope truly loves and she was therefore devastated that he could not forgive her for one mistake and chose to end their marriage. Yet.... Thomas returned and Hope begged him to give them another chance stating over and over that she loved him even though she did not want to get married right now. But when Liam attempted to get Hope to give them another chance, she flat out said no. Hmm. If Brooke knew that Liam was trying to get Hope back, she would definitely encourage Hope to take him back, I'm sure.

With buyers pulling out and the numbers not going up I think HFTF is going to end. The writers are setting up Brooke, Carter and Hope vs the Forresters! I like what Ridge said yesterday about if being business and it doesn’t matter if Carter doesn’t like it. They will decide based on what’s best for FC.

DeleteI think what Steffy should have said initially was that she needed to run it past Ridge and they would consider it, but that she wouldn’t give them an answer right then and there. Carter shouldn’t have ambushed. And Steffy shouldn’t have been so dismissive. She needed to think about it for a bit and discuss with her Co-CEO.

I would have preferred to see Hope brainstorming ideas with Carter on how to improve sales for her clothing line rather than thinking the solution to saving HFTF is to sleep with Carter. I mean, we know she didn't go to college or anything but she has been in the business long enough to have picked up a few tricks here and there.

Ridge doesn't seem to mind her actions/motivation and Eric rarely takes sides unless it's something really affecting him personally (which usually only Ridge manages) or the business in a major way. You're right that he is getting quite involved. I hope he keeps showing up. I wouldn't mind just seeing the good man around in whatever capacity.

DeleteThe thought came to me when Ridge told Brooke that Steffy would never make decisions based on personal feelings and that cutting HFTF would be a business decision. Then, we see Steffy doing exactly what Ridge said she wouldn't do, which is using HFTF to keep Hope from pursuing Finn. It's just a thought. Maybe nothing would come of it.

But I think Ridge knows that Steffy has linked HFTF's future to Hope behaving around Finn (even though he hasn't heard her directly threatening Hope like Carter did). I don't expect Ridge to be any more objective and critical towards Steffy than I am expecting Brooke to be towards Hope. They look out for their daughters and support them first and only second are strict in how they present themselves in business context. At least my interpretation.

DeleteSteffy was harsh with Hope but, this was something personal to Steffy since Hope did what she did with Finn. Carter overhearing then taking Steffy to task was out of line since 1) Steffy is his boss and 2) he did it in front of another employee. He could have simply closed the door and spoken to Steffy about it at a later time. Of course, we know that he just wanted to impress Hope, but still, he was being insubordinate. I'm glad that Steffy reminded him that she is his employer, the CEO.
DeleteElle, Steffy has berated Hope for the ‘Finn kiss’ time and time and time again! How many times is she gonna come at her? It’s ridiculous that she is still on her grievance tour when Hope hasn’t even tried to speak to Finn recently. So why does Steffy feel the need to say it 100 times? If there would have been a recent incident that Steffy was pointing to, then maybe I’d understand. But Hope hasn’t given Finn a second thought since Carter has been in her life!!

Before Carter unexpectedly began showing interest in Hope, she was still daydreaming about Finn and Brooke was still telling her to stay away. I say this to say that Steffy "holding on" to what Hope did is warranted because if she didn't, Hope could have very well continued her play for Finn.
DeleteMilla, for both Kelly and Hayes, Steffy was not going after Hope's husband. With Kelly, Steffy and Liam had already been in a relationship and Liam had been willingly sleeping with her. That was until he was told that he had to make a choice between them. That was all Liam, wanting to have his cake and eat it too. He was married to neither woman. With Hayes, he was married to Hope however, it was he that came after Steffy during mannequin-gate and Steffy wanted to forget it ever happened. I do not see the similarities with Hope purposely going after Finn and Steffy wanting to ensure that she doesn't do it again.

She could make that claim if she finds out about him trying so hard to get in Hope’s panties.
