DeleteI have to agree here. Steffy is happily married and has a wonderful family and is CEO of a very successful fashion house. She shouldn't be so concerned about Hope, which is what I believe Finn was trying to tell her.
DeleteSorry, I disagree. BBFan is right Hope is causing a lot of the stress in her life right now, where work is concerned. Not everyone can leave that stress at the workplace. She has a company to run. She knows something is up with Carter, and Hope seems to be the influence in his determination to keep HFTF alive, and doesn't understand his sudden change in personality, which is a shock to a lot of us. Finn was just asking why she's so stressed.

ReplyDeleteI know Brooke is on the team but it is in no way her decision to make! Especially about taking control of Forrester and handing it over to a BOD and public shareholders. Forresters have 💯 % control of their company at the moment.
Hope is so clueless about the difference between private ownership and forming a conglomerate, taking astronomical debt etc.
Listen to Carter again with HFTF and smack talking Steffy to her parents!
Hope is in sooooo much trouble! I think she and Carter are going to end up fired over this… Carter is going blast Steffy in front of Finn watch!

DeleteThis is a complete 180 of the Carter character, and I do not like it. As I said before, nothing wrong with giving him a little edge, but this is a complete transformation to a man who is usually very level-headed and peaceful. He is going around forcing his ideas on the owners of the company and, when he is not doing that, he is displaying insubordiate behaviour. What have they done with the real Carter?

DeleteI had a feeling something like this was going to happen. Brooke seeking reassurance from Hope that she is over Finn now that she and Carter are together. Then, Finn telling Steffy to stop worrying about him and Hope. I just knew something was going to go down. Why would Finn go to the design office though, instead of the main office where Steffy usually sits?
ReplyDeleteI am really loving this Taylor. I love how she is in no way coming on to Ridge. Instead, he is the one that wants her to stay and he is the one that keeps talking about how he feels about her being around (or not around).
So Steffy already knows that Ivy and the jewelry line are back. Guess she had no choice but to accept it.
Seriously! What is going on with Carter? Why is he in such a rush, all of a sudden, to change FC? And I really don't like his tone. He is being way too insistent and aggressive about them "evolving."

DeleteElle I really like this Taylor as well. She brings a lot to the character and has great chemistry with TK. They bounce off each other and have good comedic timing too! Must be all those years on All My Children as Greenley and Zack!

ReplyDeleteCarter did overstep with Ridge. First off, that big of a company changing decision doesn’t get decided overnight. Lots of thought would need to go into it. So Carter is being very pushy in expecting an answer right away. Plus he is coming across as far too overbearing. Didn’t like that. They are changing Carter’s character….and not for the better. And I think his gold chains are getting thicker and longer! Lol
Steffy walking in when Hope was laying all over Finn….she (Steffy) looked like she was gonna bust out laughing. I’ll bet they had to rehearse that scene a few times before Steffy was able to hold back her laughter.
And another thing. Why did Carter proceed to press Ridge for an answer to his proposal with Taylor there??!! Carter came in, saw Taylor, and decided to demand an answer from Ridge anyway, rather than excuse himself and say he will talk to Ridge later. This is really not Carter's style. As you said, Lynn, Carter is not changing for the better.

DeleteI guess Carter thinks his proposition is bullet proof and everyone should automatically support it. It’s way too big of a decision to make that quickly.
I think people are just used to her being around and having a say in FC business. Taylor used to be an equal shareholder in Forrester Creations - her, Ridge, Stephanie and Eric - 25% each. As such, she was quite often involved in Board meetings and other company decision-making, so that might have something to do with it. However, Carter was not around during that time. Anyway, as COO, maybe he knows about it.
DeleteI did like how Ridge said Brooke’s name in reference to one of the people who need to weigh in on the decision. Brooke’s importance is very often minimized in the comments on the blog. That comment by Ridge shows that she is a decision maker as well.

DeleteBrooke is on the Exec team now, as per Ridge. However, she doesn’t hold any shares, so if the Forresters make a decision she cannot defeat it unless she gets Ridge and Eric onside. Ridge listens to Brooke’s thoughts, but she isn’t a CEO and still answers to Steffy. Eric, Ridge and Steffy will be the ones making the decision regarding becoming a conglomerate.

DeleteCarter seems to be banking on his close friendship with Ridge (he made reference to them being friends) for a positive outcome to his proposal, which makes him a bit of a hypocrite. He goes around saying that Steffy is making decisions based on personal feelings yet, he is doing the same with Hope and now, he expects Ridge to make a decision based on their personal friendship.

DeleteBrooke is an employee. She doesn’t even have a title other than face and model for BB and “member of executive team”. She weighs in on things but has no power.
She absolutely answers to the CEOs! When Ridge and Steffy can’t reach a consensus, Eric usually weighs in and can make final decisions.
Carter is COO and like Brooke can advise on course of action but the decisions lay with the 3 Forresters.
Ridge included Brooke’s voice as a team member, that’s it.
Carter has been working to get Brooke onside. He knows that showing support for HFTF will get him Brooke’s backing.
He knows the personal power she wields over Ridge and Eric. He’s counting on her to convince them to overrule Steffy and any opposition to taking over FC.
Lynn I also think Carter may quit but I think it's even more likely that he crosses to the dark side and causes some trouble for the Forresters 😀 he seems quite power-hubngry these days.

ReplyDeleteI'm tired of the feud between the Logans and Foresters over who's better. Steffy isn't as perfect as she thinks; she's had her share of affairs, including pursuing a married man. Her personal feelings are clouding her judgment at work, and while I agree with Carter on some points, he also needs to keep his head in check regarding Hope. I love Hope and Carter together, but personal and work matters should always be separate when making decisions. It's unethical for Steffy to keep bringing up the kiss with Hope in relation to Finn; it's getting old. The ending of the episode was problematic—why was Finn even in Hope's office? I'm fed up with the Finn and Hope storyline, as well as the catfights between Steffy and Hope. They both need to mature. They claim they don’t want to repeat their mothers' mistakes, but they are. I also don’t understand Steffy’s insecurity in her marriage; if she trusts her husband, she shouldn't have to worry.

Steffy, just fire the bitch cause all she does is cause trouble and never works but sure does live in fantasy lines with every man she comes in contact with. Couldn’t believe she went there with Carter imagining her in Brook’e drillies! Does she think she’s some reward for standing by her? Both Carter and Hope need to be fired. Carter needs to be kept in line, there is a lot of sexual harassment going on in the FC offices.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Hope sees herself as a reward but she certainly sees Carter as her and her line's savior and wants to keep his interest in her so, she'll do what it takes. Once HFTF gets cut, I'm pretty sure her interest in Carter will disappear.

ReplyDeleteI hope Thomas returns soon before Hope becomes completely lost. She once said that Thomas was her true north. He needs to return and get her back on her feet. Her values seem to be quickly escaping her. She may not realize it, but Hope needs Thomas!

DeleteI am hoping that given that her life is basically in shambles right now, that she will come to the realization that Thomas is the full package. She does, in fact, love him and wants to be with him but Thomas walked away. She could have gone back to Liam but she is simply not interested in being with her ex-husband. I think Thomas walking away from her and taking Douglas with him has affected her in more ways than she realizes.
