Absolutely not! Ridge belongs with brooke, and for someone who is supposedly so educated and so smart, Taylor is being downright stupid. Ridge is staying with her right now for the wrong reasons, he feels obligated. Taylor needs to wake up and realize that she will always be second best and that Ridge will always always go back to Brooke.
DeleteTayler is the one who needs to hang it up and get some dignity! She knows she will always be second choice. Just wait until Nick comes back next month. ridge goes into orbit anytime that Brooke is with somebody else or if he even sees her and some other guy flirting. On the other hand, anytime that he and Taylor aren't together and she is with somebody else, he could care less.

DeleteI don’t think Ridge is in love with Taylor. And Katie went too far, for sure, but she had some valid points about being honest to Taylor. For me it seems more like a really good frendship at least on Ridge’s site. He didn’t say to Katie that he stays with Taylor because he loves her. He mostly talk about not wanting to hurt her again or make her heart condition worse. And about not breaking his word. Not about love and wanting to be with Taylor and spend life with her.

DeleteOn one hand, it probably means that he doesn't love her the way he loves Brooke.
On the other hand, it's commendable that he has vowed to keep his commitment to Taylor, something he has never done with Brooke.
Either way, one of these women's heart will be broken. Either Taylor because Ridge decided to be with the woman he truly loves, or Brooke because Ridge has vowed not to break is commitment to her.
And even though Ridge might not love Taylor the way he loves Brooke, he is happy with her. He doesn't seem like he feels trapped.
As I’ve said all along….Ridge is staying with Taylor because of his feeling of obligation to Talyor. And that never works out in the long run.
DeleteYeah, Ridge is not in love with Taylor. He doesn't want to break her heart and let her down. Katie did make a good point. Ridge needs to be honest with himself. If Taylor gets her heart broken again, don't blame Brooke. It's Ridge's fault because he ran to Taylor too quickly.
DeleteI would actually blame Taylor. She is the one who suffered BHS partly because of Ridge. She should have been more careful about giving her heart to him again. She's grown and should have known better.

Brooke’s heart lead her to numerous men and Ridge was off her radar for years! She’s lying saying it was always Ridge.
She wrecked a lot of homes and relationships to follow her heart over the years. She made a sport of stealing married men.
I believe Ridge does love Taylor and he loves the relationship they share. There is so much more there than with Brooke and he doesn’t worry about Taylor betraying him and then shedding tears for the 10 millionth time. Brooke always promises it will be different and it never is!
Good on Taylor setting Brooke straight! She has no right to interfere in their relationship!
Sorry ladies it’s so late and I’m in so much pain. I have my next surgery in a few weeks!

DeleteI'm staying impartial with my opinion. I haven't been watching every episode but looking at comments, I really think Ridge does love both woman but in different ways.
Brooke is high maintenance and I think it's purely sexual that attracts him. With that comes alot of drama, tension and betrayal.
Taylor he knows loves him dearly and gives him peace, support and calmnes at this stage of his life.
But it is a soap we need drama.

ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say about Brooke again. She acts like a teenager who is excited because her and her crush bumped into each other in the school hall. His hand touched mine. We were so close, I could feel his breath on me. Geez woman! It was a show. Ridge was performing for the crowd. If it was Taylor in that dress, he would have done the same thing. She is reading too much into it.
So Carter and Hope are back together yet, when they hugged, they both had the same constipated looks on their faces. This is going to be interesting. I'm surprised their reunion wasn't a lot more passionate. That's usually the norm when a couple reunites. They don't just say, let's forget the past and start afresh, then "Bye."
And look at Carter thinking about Daphne and wanting to break the news to her in his home. Why was that necessary? He just reunited with the woman he loves. Why is Daphne even on his mind?

DeleteI think Carter chose to break the news to Daphne at his home because he didn't want to risk breaking Daphne's ❤️ at work. Carter & Hope just agreed to a clean slate - regarding everything including the Daphne kiss. So, Daphne needed to be told. Also, Hope returned to work. As we have all noticed, it can be a challenge to have a private conversation at Forester.

Honestly I don’t see or feel any chemistry at all between Hope and Carter, I never did.
They both looked pensive and unsure. They say the right words but they sound contrived.
I don’t see the Hope Carter pairing working because he really wants to be a father and that was one of the things that broke him and Quinn up.
I think it was also one of the reasons he and Katie didn’t work either.
Also, Carter is so much older than Hope too! I don’t see her wanting to get pregnant and have another baby.
Well, Carter’s look at the end of yesterday’s episode turned out to be nothing as I predicted. Let’s see if Ridge’s look at the end of today’s show turns out to be something.

Lynn, do you think Carter and Hope look happy to be reunited once more? Their "reunion" looked more like a business transaction to me. Compare it to Ridge/Taylor, Finn/Steffy, Thomas/Hope (after Liam found out about them). As I said above, this is going to be interesting. I really feel like they are not going to last.

Elle, I thought Carter looked really happy to hear the truth about Liam and the reunion of Carter and Hope seemed very sweet and authentic to me. Just because they didn’t jump into bed together doesn’t discount the love they feel for each other. Carter said multiple times….he will never let Hope down again. And Hope said she loved him and had missed him. I am not sure why you don’t think it seemed like a very happy reunion for each of them.

They barely kissed, Lynn. And the looks on their faces when they hugged, they were less than thrilled. And I didn't expect that they would jump into bed, I just expected more jubilance, I guess.
DeleteAs for Daphne and Carter not playing her games, why did it take Hope and him reuniting for him to finally put his foot down with Daphne? He had been sure all along that Hope is the one he wanted to be with yet, he never once told Daphne that he is not interested until today. That's a little suspicious to me. It could turn out to be nothing but, we will see.
I rewatched the scenes with Hope and Carter and I stand by what I said….they were very touching scenes. They are dealing with the diagnosis of Liam. They can only be so ecstatic. You aren’t considering the whole picture. Carter looked like a giddy little boy. And clearly Hope loves him too, she’s just more somber because the father of her young daughter is dying. Sheesh!!

DeleteAgree. The sad news about Liam but a damper on their reunion. Also, when Hope left work, she told them she wouldn't be gone long. I thought Carter & Hope were both happy (in a reserved & respectful manner given Liam's situation) to be back together.

DeleteIt’s funny that after all this time Ridge and Taylor are still living with Eric! Still not committed enough to get their own place together as “older” adults. That just proves the lack of commitment on Ridge’s part. What happened to all that talk of getting a place of their own and starting their lives together? It’s absurd they still live with Daddy Eric!! It’s not like they don’t have money to get a phenomenal place of their own! It’s just another example of why those two were never intended for forever after on this show!
DeleteTrue, Lynn! Ridge can't talk about Hope living in the cabin at her Mom's. It is detached from the main house & Hope is much younger than Ridge. Plus, with small children, it has to be nice to have a Grandparent nearby to assist if needed.
