What is Maur talking about? Massimo Marone was a wealthy shipping magnate who didn't need "to bleed the Forrester's dry." On the Marone's side, Ridge came from money. On the Forrester side, Ridge earned his inheritance - the Forrester inheritance - because Eric never loved him any less despite the fact that he was biologically, a Marone. Ridge actually has the privilege of coming from 2 wealthy families. I'd say that's pretty stellar.

@unknown I don't know how long you have watched this show, but when Stephanie was dying, she wanted Brooke by her side, and admitted that they were too much alike for them to have always gotten along and she loved Brooke and actually wanted Brooke with Ridge! If I'm invited to anything, so is my husband, so we are one. He doesn't need an invitation.
They definitely need some new writers, and if they are stupid enough to put Ridge and Taylor back together, trust me, he will always go back to Brooke, she is a love of his life and they belong together. I could write better scripts and stories than they are! It's just the same old, same old, they even constantly repeat the same lines even though sometimes the words are switched around. @kidd As Douglas' parents, Thomas wants Hope to see for herself how happy Douglas is at the Forrester mansion and so, he extended the invitation to her. Hope told Liam that she was going over. I am thinking that if Hope knows that Liam has concerns then she should be the one to ask him if he wants to come along with her orrrr, at the very least, Liam should let Hope know that he would like to come along with her so that he too can have his concerns alleviated.
However, Liam has not even tried to see if Douglas was really happy over at Eric's. He instead chose to ignore everything his wife is saying about Douglas being so happy spending time with his father to push his conspiracy theory about Thomas. All Liam has to do is go over to Eric's with Hope to see what is really going on.

I was thinking today listening to Hope defend her mum that Brooke used nearly identical justification for Hope pursuing a very married Liam who’s wife was pregnant. Some very unfortunate circumstances tore them apart and Ridge now has the opportunity to be back with the woman who he adored and who left a void in his life for a very long time, despite him being with Brooke who was basically just a placeholder for the woman he truly loves.

@Colly I don't know about the others but I haven't wanted Brooke with Ridge since 2013 when they changed the actor and they had absolutely no chemistry because it was like strangers met for the first time. In my eyes, that'd still the case. On the other hand I loved her with Nick and with Bill 🤤
I simply want Ridge to choose Brooke. Just like he did on Thursday’s episode. Then I want Brooke to tell him to hit the road!! So like the Logan fans said - Ridge's first choice was Brooke. Liam is dead on the money in telling Hope that Thomas was up to his old deceitful ways. Thomas telling her he would return Douglas the next day, but now it’s been at least 3 days. And no telling when they are getting Douglas back. There is not a chance in hell that Hope is remotely interested in Thomas. She went to FC to confront Steffy about undermining Brooke’s and Ridge’s marriage. I hope Hope for once puts that smug Steffy in her place! So tired of “witch Steffy” walking all over everyone. Especially Hope! Now that Hope is aware that Thomas is part of the reunite Taylor and Ridge plan, I’m sure Hope will have a few choice words for Thomas too. Steffy is so incredibly out of line - it’s off the charts. And Ridge literally shuts her down multiple times. But he needs to be much more forceful because Steffy is absolutely relentless!!! My opinion is that Ridge said “I love you too, Doc” like someone tells a friend they love them. Especially the way he tapped her arm when he said it. Didn’t seem at all like someone who was about to commit themselves. But we’ll see. As I’ve said before, I just want Ridge the pathetic waffler gone! So part of me hopes he does choose Taylor just so Brooke can be rid of that psycho!! He doesn’t deserve any women! Total dog!
Spot on Lynn. I too am unsure whether he is about about to commit to second best Taylor. I can`t wait for Brooke to move on with someone decent and then just watch Ridge cry like a baby with jealousy and then perhaps Taylor might see the truth, but I doubt it, because she is happy with any little crumb he throws her way...so desperate!! He is being bombarded by his relentless children (adults) who don`t seem to care that their mother is only going to get hurt. Perhaps that`s their aim because she only cares about then when she decides she wants Ridge back and perhaps this is all pay back from them. However, all you Maroney fans need to think that Brooke is looking out for her daughter and in turn Hope is looking out for her mother, while Steffy is only interested in getting revenge on the Logans, because she`s such a disgusting person.
If Taylor, or Giggles (that seems to be a good nickname for her Lynn) wins ridge back, it'll be interesting to see how long they live in blissful harmony lol. I'm willing to bet not long, because Ridge will be consumed with jealousy when he sees Brooke move on. We all know that happy couples on soaps are boring. Hilary, absolutely! But even if this weren’t a soap - I think her over the top Mary Sunshine demeanor would drive any man to drink. I honestly just can’t take her seriously. No 50 something woman acts that insanely giddy all the time. Ridge is Mr Sour-puss most days. He wouldn’t last 6 months with that.
I wonder if the writers are ever going to revisit Taylor and Deacon as a couple. They had a nice flirtation going on for a while there. Anything would be better than this endless triangle with Brooke and Ridge. Of course Deacon may have ruined his chances with Taylor by keeping Sheila hidden. Then again, Taylor might forgive him for that (let's face it, she's not the sharpest tool in the shed.)
I would like to see deacon get his woman too!! I think they are good together.. deacon is so loyal to her, and would treat her right, and I think he would look past anything she did?? I don’t like ridge personally, especially lately, and I don’t like how he is waffling between the two.. he is leading both woman on, and it’s wrong.. just pick one and move on, and let the other move on.. this triangle has been done to death!!!
Giggles should totally stick 😂 and yes there was something interesting about her giggle bouncing off Deacons (occasional) wit. They could make an interesting couple. But then again it seems almost everybody wants to see Brooke with someone other than Ridge (hopes are for Bill) so he should go to Taylor. Just anything other than this triangle indeed. It was one thing when we had the real Ridge and Taylor, then the triangle had more substance right now it's just 😒😒
The writers are just plain cruel to "Taylor". When HT was playing the role there was dignity, self-awareness, pride to her. It was (at least for me) much easier to root for her. Now Giggles just scrambling for Ridge crumbs is painful to watch. He should go to her, not only to free Brooke for Bill, but also to show her what that idealized life Steffy, Thomas and her are imagining would actually look like - constant anxiety. He'll never let go of Brooke, she's unforgettable to him, it's what the show has been built on. Not saying it's good, but it's a fact.
@ M.D, lol. I am glad Giggles is sticking. 😂😂 And I agree with you on the original Taylor. She had class and elegance. She wasn’t some childish ditz. Just a whole different personality type and much more respectable / likable. I honestly had no favorite back then. I liked both Brooke and Taylor. We’ll just see what happens with this love triangle. But what I will say, is that Ridge won’t last long at all with Taylor if that’s who he ends up with. Taylor will be setting herself up for heartbreak yet again.
@Lynn thank you for Giggles 😂 it's just perfect! For me also the most favorite thing was their chemistry - Brooke and Taylor's whenever they fought. You can't have it without one of them. And of course it will be a heartbreak for her. Ridge will always end up with Brooke. She is the soul of the show, her story. And she's the reason I still watch it (in hopes to see her with Bill 😀😍).
M, even though I can’t stand the character brook, I agree, she has been on the show from day one and and she is an integral part of it, and the show would not b the same without her..

@Dezzi Excuse me.... lmao! Bridget's real paternity was manipulated by Sheila and for a long time Ridge thought that Bridget was his daughter. A second paternity test had to be done when it was determined that Eric was actually the father. A paternity test was also done with RJ to determine whether Ridge or Nick was the father.

Now, I am very suspicious about what Bradley Bell is doing, is he doing it to get an award? is he doing it because he needs viewers? or is he changing his ways on how he has given Brooke's character the world and is going a different direction with her character? after all I just read today that the actress Heather (playing Katie) might be leaving the soap, and Bradley Bell may be working in bringing Bill and Brooke together.

The more Liam ignores Hope about Douglas being happy over at the mansion and insists on his conspiracy theories about Thomas, the more Hope is going to become disenchanted with Liam's utterances. She's already settling in nicely at Forrester functions with both Ridge and Eric welcoming her to the family.

On the Forrester side, Ridge earned his inheritance - the Forrester inheritance - because Eric never loved him any less despite the fact that he was biologically, a Marone. Ridge actually has the privilege of coming from 2 wealthy families. I'd say that's pretty stellar.

DeleteThey definitely need some new writers, and if they are stupid enough to put Ridge and Taylor back together, trust me, he will always go back to Brooke, she is a love of his life and they belong together. I could write better scripts and stories than they are! It's just the same old, same old, they even constantly repeat the same lines even though sometimes the words are switched around. It's getting really boring and monotonous. And I agree with @Hilary above, that crap is gone on far too long, Ridge and Taylor were actually not together that long.

@kidd As Douglas' parents, Thomas wants Hope to see for herself how happy Douglas is at the Forrester mansion and so, he extended the invitation to her. Hope told Liam that she was going over. I am thinking that if Hope knows that Liam has concerns then she should be the one to ask him if he wants to come along with her orrrr, at the very least, Liam should let Hope know that he would like to come along with her so that he too can have his concerns alleviated.

DeleteRidge is in this position because, like it or not, Taylor was his entire world back in the day. There was nothing that Brooke could do to get Ridge away from Taylor. Brooke being the love of Ridge's life is left to be seen because if he chooses to return to Taylor then it means that she is actually the love of his life. Some very unfortunate circumstances tore them apart and Ridge now has the opportunity to be back with the woman who he adored and who left a void in his life for a very long time, despite him being with Brooke who was basically just a placeholder for the woman he truly loves.

What was really really really interesting to me in today's show is that Hope told Liam that "Taylor and Steffy" are trying to break up her mother's marriage. She then went to FC and overhead BOTH Steffy and Thomas bad-mouthing Brooke but ONLY called out Steffy on it. It's like she has completely absolved Thomas from anything that Taylor and Steffy are supposedly doing. What was up with that???? Could Liam be right? Could Thomas be getting into her head again?
I'm telling y'all. Just watch Liam push Hope right into Thomas' arms.

ReplyDeleteLiam is dead on the money in telling Hope that Thomas was up to his old deceitful ways. Thomas telling her he would return Douglas the next day, but now it’s been at least 3 days. And no telling when they are getting Douglas back.
There is not a chance in hell that Hope is remotely interested in Thomas. She went to FC to confront Steffy about undermining Brooke’s and Ridge’s marriage. I hope Hope for once puts that smug Steffy in her place! So tired of “witch Steffy” walking all over everyone. Especially Hope! Now that Hope is aware that Thomas is part of the reunite Taylor and Ridge plan, I’m sure Hope will have a few choice words for Thomas too.
Steffy is so incredibly out of line - it’s off the charts. And Ridge literally shuts her down multiple times. But he needs to be much more forceful because Steffy is absolutely relentless!!!
My opinion is that Ridge said “I love you too, Doc” like someone tells a friend they love them. Especially the way he tapped her arm when he said it. Didn’t seem at all like someone who was about to commit themselves. But we’ll see.
As I’ve said before, I just want Ridge the pathetic waffler gone! So part of me hopes he does choose Taylor just so Brooke can be rid of that psycho!! He doesn’t deserve any women! Total dog!

He is being bombarded by his relentless children (adults) who don`t seem to care that their mother is only going to get hurt. Perhaps that`s their aim because she only cares about then when she decides she wants Ridge back and perhaps this is all pay back from them.
However, all you Maroney fans need to think that Brooke is looking out for her daughter and in turn Hope is looking out for her mother, while Steffy is only interested in getting revenge on the Logans, because she`s such a disgusting person.

Anything would be better than this endless triangle with Brooke and Ridge. Of course Deacon may have ruined his chances with Taylor by keeping Sheila hidden. Then again, Taylor might forgive him for that (let's face it, she's not the sharpest tool in the shed.)

DeleteThe writers are just plain cruel to "Taylor". When HT was playing the role there was dignity, self-awareness, pride to her. It was (at least for me) much easier to root for her. Now Giggles just scrambling for Ridge crumbs is painful to watch. He should go to her, not only to free Brooke for Bill, but also to show her what that idealized life Steffy, Thomas and her are imagining would actually look like - constant anxiety. He'll never let go of Brooke, she's unforgettable to him, it's what the show has been built on. Not saying it's good, but it's a fact.

And of course it will be a heartbreak for her. Ridge will always end up with Brooke. She is the soul of the show, her story. And she's the reason I still watch it (in hopes to see her with Bill 😀😍).

@Dezzi Excuse me.... lmao! Bridget's real paternity was manipulated by Sheila and for a long time Ridge thought that Bridget was his daughter. A second paternity test had to be done when it was determined that Eric was actually the father. A paternity test was also done with RJ to determine whether Ridge or Nick was the father.
