I don't know what is considered as Thomas using Douglas as a pawn but what I also observed was that Brooke and Liam apparently don't care about what Douglas wants even when Hope told them that he seemed to be happy over at his great-grandad's. Their main thing is that Thomas should not have his own son. That said, I'm not sure Thomas is the only one using Douglas as a pawn.

Brooke has ALWAYS been known as the slut from the valley - a term coined by the show and used for the show specific to the character of Brooke and it was well deserved. Taylor is far from being referred to as such. She can be called the worst psychiatrist ever. Unethical. Crazy woman with bony shoulders... whatever. Slut from the valley is reserved for Brooke and only Brooke.

I am just not into the Douglas custody story. I think it is because there is a different boy playing the part & thus it feels like a different character to me. So, I really don't care where the new kid lives. The original Douglas was an excellent actor with an engaging personality. It doesn't help either that the new actor seems to be a couple of years older. So, the character is aging out of the cute little boy stage.

The first chance? I would think Thomas had a chance back when Liam was in prison. However, he chose to have Hope reunite with Liam instead. I would also think that Thomas had a chance after his surgery when it was found out that Liam slept with Steffy and possibly got her pregnant. However, Thomas chose to let Hope make her own decision about how she wanted to handle the betrayal.

It would also come with a bottle of hair gel. Deacon would collect candy in a mop bucket. The Sheila costume would be a T-shirt with large ♥️ & the word ME in the middle of the heart (Love Me). Brooke and Liam are hell bent on not letting Douglas be with his father, even if it means they have to drag Douglas from the Forrester mansion kicking and screaming. All they can talk about is "sure Thomas has made progress but is he ready to take care of Douglas?" (Liam) and "Taylor and Steffy are the ones pushing this." (Brooke)
All they are concerned about is how Hope's family will be broken and how it will affect Hope. This has nothing to do with Douglas and everything to do with not letting the Forresters win.

We are seeing Taylor there more because her grandson is there. When he was at Hope's, she could not visit him as she would have liked but now that he is at Eric's, she can.
