To Liam, this is not really about Douglas.. after listening to him and brook the last few episodes, both brook and Thomas don’t really care about Douglas.. this is about them worrying they r under attack and that they are going to lose their spouses.. how dare Liam say the more access to Douglas he has , the more “entitled” he is going to feel!! Wtf.. he IS entitled, to HIS son.. and all Liam and brook r doing , is putting pressure on hope that she does not need right now!! It’s not their business or decision.. it takes a situation like this , for them to suddenly “care” about Douglas!!

I really hope the writers aren't trying to pull another Thomas wants Hope again... can we get a female "Finn" for Thomas. I think the custody battle would be more entertaining because then Liam and Brooke wouldn't have a "Thomas is obsessed with Hope story" and then Thomas could build a family of his own with his son and new wife, like Steffy has. Like these recycled stories are absolutely ANNOYING.

I had to laugh at Brooke talking about others manipulating Douglas… her little stunt after New Years, gaslighting Douglas then trying to keep him from Thomas so he wouldn’t tattle on her was evil. Not to mention Liam and Hope happily went along with it! That’s just as bad as what Thomas did! But oh the Logans are saints and know better than his blood! 🙄

The only one who knows about the app is Thomas. So it only makes sense that Thomas will use the app to somehow win Hope back. The writing is on the wall people! Thomas will be reverting back to crazy town sooner rather than later. The “I told you so’s” already began last Friday when Thomas told Hope she is the only woman for him. And now he is looking at pics with Hope on his phone and remembering their kiss from years ago. You ladies are in denial if you think anyone is gonna use the app other than Thomas!! Gonna say it for the 20th time….Thomas has NOT changed! And it’s gonna be psycho Thomas in the near term! Hope is an awesome actress. That crying scene at the end was very realistic. @unknown, I agree that Brooke and Liam are getting too chummy. A guy doesn't need to be that friendly with his mother-in-law. They both need to find a friend. I like seeing Liam hanging with his father and/or brother. Bill always has a few funny insults about Ridge, "the dress maker". And Wyatt seems cool and reasonable. Uh, Taylor needs to get her own place. As much as Steffy annoys me, she and Finn should not always be interrupted. Once the kids are put to bed, it's mommy-daddy private time.

You do know there is a difference between stealing a baby (not Steffy of course but the stolen one ended up with her) and adopting a child right? Both things are incomparable.
There is a difference; however, Hope showed NO concern for Phoebeth’s wellbeing when she ripped an infant from the only mother, sister and family she’d ever known! That bairn didn’t know Hope! Then was just shoved into a daycare anyway! As some one who practised family law for many years, INR a judge would have had a reunion plan in place. Meaning slowly introducing Hope to Beth and then transitioning her into Hope and Liam’s home. Best interest of the child and all.
The fact is Hope hasn’t been “sharing custody “ with Thomas. She has not allowed Douglas to live with his father 50/50 or make any decisions about his health, education or even have holidays with him. Hope is shown having Douglas for all of them!!! Remember after the New Year debacle, Thomas finally got 5 min with Douglas and Hope demanded he bring him back because Brooke was afraid he would talk? Hope literally demanded Thomas lose all his parenting Fo NO reason???
Hope won’t entertain Douglas living with Thomas any time at all! That is NOT how shared custody works. And they do not have a formal legal agreement about parenting time etc. The law very much protects a Father’s right to parent his child. Hope has utterly denied Thomas that without a court order.
Hope acts like if Douglas doesn’t live with her every day he won’t have a relationship with Beth or her and Liam, his stepdad! Douglas is Liam’s cousin twice removed!

Agreed BBfan. It doesn't matter whether the child was stolen or adopted. The point is that Hope walked into Steffy's home and literally ripped Phoebe out of Steffy's arms. Liam was against what Hope did and tried to talk her out of it but Hope was not having it.
I did feel for Hope yesterday knowing what she must be going through because she truly loves Douglas but, at the same time, I can't help but say "what goes around, comes around."
Beth was a tiny baby, and I don't think she lived with Steffy long enough for it to have been some traumatic ordeal. Speaking as an actual mother, If my baby had been stolen from me, you can bet your ass I would be getting her/him back asap, anyone would. There's nothing unreasonable about taking your kidnapped and sold child back. Douglas is older, and was not kidnapped, nor sold through some sketchy illegal baby trade like beth was. The two are not even remotely the same.
Douglas is a 10 yr old child who wants to be with his father. Hope has actively interfered by refusing to let him live with Thomas even one day a week. It’s asinine to say if he doesn’t live 100% with Hope he will come to great harm wtf???

Phoebeth was 6-9 months old and she was attached to her mum and sister. Steffy was her adopted mother who loved her but that doesn’t matter because she’s Steffy. Hope never cared at all for the pain she caused she stole Steffy’s husband then stole her baby daughter! She didn’t let Steffy spend any time with her at all or Kelly, who is actually her sister!

Lynn, what are you talking about? Both Kelly and Hayes are frequently seen on the show. We had a change in the Kelly actress then she was changed back to the original actress. People have been commenting on these kids so how can they do that if the kids are not seen? If you want to talk about a kid who is never seen, you need to talk about Beth who is either with Aunt Donna, at a sleepover or being taken care of by Douglas.
@ Elle, they had a few cameos when the whole Finn reunion thing happened in Monte Carlo. Aside from that, Steffy’s kids are MIA just like Hope’s kids. And they have only reintroduced Douglas recently. We hadn’t seen him for months and months and months. So long in fact that they picked a new child actor who is at least 2 years older than the previous actor and I guess the producers thought we wouldn’t notice! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So as I said, aside from the recent shows surrounding Finn’s comeback - all kids on this show were about 98% non existent.
Why do we go in circles on this? Same things being said over and over. It’s getting as bad as the dialogue on the soap. 😂😂😂 The difference is this - Hope had been told her newborn baby died. Hope was completely devastated and beyond distraught that she had lost her newborn child. So much so, that she told Liam to go be with Steffy and be a father to Kelly in Steffy’s house. I recall Hope telling Liam she wanted a divorce because she was so broken. But truth was - her newborn baby had been stolen from her and given / sold (whatever) to Steffy. Hope had ZERO clue!!! And crazy Thomas (the one that everyone thinks is reformed LMAO) kept it from Hope for months after he found out the truth! Did it suck for Steffy…sure it did. But Hope wasn’t about to lose one more day with baby Beth. She had already lost 6 plus months of her baby’s life!! Now let’s flash forward to Thomas and Douglas - Thomas asked Hope to take care of his son when he couldn’t. He admitted that very thing more than once over the past few weeks of episodes. Thomas wasn’t tricked like you guys are making it seem. Maybe he was not completely clear about what exactly he was signing at the time. But if he felt he got tricked into signing papers he shouldn’t have, then he could have easily taken Hope to court to contest it. But he did not! Neither did ANY of the Forresters!!! Everyone was perfectly happy letting Hope take on that responsibly!! And Thomas has said time and time again how grateful he was that Hope did such a great job and stepped up to raise Douglas! Those are not the words of a father who “got tricked!’ So as we keep saying - TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT SCENARIOS!!!!
Really Lynn, don't bother. It's obvious you're dealing with people whose level of mental and emotional involvement with this show is on a scary level. Don't sink down that rabbit hole too, but indeed live your real life ❤️
Lynn, stolen or not, Hope did not have to walk into Steffy's living room and rip the baby out of Steffy's arms. She could have shown some compassion. And that is the point. At least Thomas did not just walk into Hope's home and rip Douglas away from her. He brought up the matter with her first then further discussed it with her before he took Douglas anywhere.
You may not want to admit that Hope was cruel to Steffy in the way she acted with Beth but it does not mean that she wasn't cruel and insensitive. There was a much better way that she could have gone about it.
As for Thomas signing over rights to Hope, it was indeed a complete trickery. Brooke went behind Thomas' back and had papers drawn up (it was not Thomas' idea) then told Hope to pretend that she was interested in Thomas and go to dinner with him. Hope was apprehensive at first because she did not want to participate in such a trickery but Brooke eventually convinced her to do it. Hope then turned on the charm for Thomas at dinner and convinced him that it would be best that she becomes Thomas' mother so that THEY (she and Thomas) could be a proper family for Douglas. When Thomas signed, he thought that Hope wanted to be with him and Douglas as a family. That's trickery, according to the law and if that were to come out in court (which I doubt it would since Thomas will not take it there), Hope would immediately lose her status as Douglas' mother.
If by cruel and insensitive you mean taking back what was literally stolen from her, then yes Hope is guilty for taking back HER child that she didn’t even know was alive. That’s like saying if someone steals your car you should ease your way into taking possession of it again once you locate it. And this is not a car - it’s her CHILD! Moreover, Hope very much told Steffy she was welcome to come and visit Beth anytime she wanted. But absolutely positively Hope was taking possession of HER child again! And glad you brought up Thomas in your argument. You mean the same Thomas who agreed to ONE overnight and has now had possession of Douglas for 4 or 5 days?? You mean that Thomas? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Really bad example, Elle.
And I will say it again - if ANYONE had any issue with the arrangement, or the trickery as you call it - then why wait literally YEARS to do something about it???? Answer - because all of the Forresters, including Thomas, were fine with it!!! Not one single Forrester tried to set this “horrible injustice” straight!! Not one single one. So your gross exaggeration of the facts don’t hold water.
Okay Lynn. So by your justification, it must then be quite okay for Thomas to take Douglas back because Douglas is HIS son who was stolen (by trickery) from him. I mean, it cannot be okay for Hope to take her baby away from Steffy who legitimately adopted her but not okay for Thomas to take his son away from Hope who adopted Douglas through trickery and deceit.

What is blatantly apparent is that you refuse to accept that Hope can be just as conniving and deceptive as y'all claim Thomas to be. Add to which, she can also be cruel and insensitive. Love how all we think about is Hope, who cares about those poor bairns. Poor Beth went from wearing the most adorable outfits, living in a bright airy cheery home, sleeping a darling nursery to a dark dank cabin with dead animal skulls and wearing bin bag chic clothing and being dumped with strangers in a daycare then back to strangers at the dingy cabin… awesome! I guess that’s why she’s still an infant while the other kiddos aged a couple of years! Even wee Hayes has been SORAS’d!
By the way as mentioned by previous posters, Hope is such a great mum she lets 2 yr old Beth play alone unsupervised on an estate that includes a huge unfenced swimming pool, woods including wild animals, plenty of sharp pointy objects a small child can get hurt on, not to mention get lost, stumble onto a road etc. oh and sends the same baby to sleep overs etc. Poor Douglas wanders out of the house in the night and no one notices? They allow Brooke to gaslight the child the all collaborate to shut him up and hide the truth, block his access to his father and family… stellar parenting there! Hope is never with those kids they are always with a sitter, Auntie Donna, daycare or at friend’s homes. It’s not even like Hope is working 99% of the time. She’s whining to mummy or trying clumsily to seduce Liam ( so painful and awkward I have to ffwd) or having lunch with Daddy and whining… etc. She wants all or nothing. If she ever let Thomas actually share custody and have his son live halvsies with him, he wouldn’t be asking for full custody now. She created this by saying all along that Douglas can only love with her Liam and Beth. She must at all costs have her “perfect” family.
This is Hope’s delusional idea of her princess life continuing through adulthood… always gotten everything handed on a platinum platter and cannot handle life if she doesn’t!!!
All I can say is - some of you have either never been moms or have utter inability to imagine what a mom goes through thinking her child is dead. If you thought your baby was dead, only to reveal she is not and you'd been lied to by a psycho, you'd take her next second too and nobody can convince me otherwise. Comparing Hope's horror situation back then with this custody nonsense is so cruel I can't believe human beings can have so much hate for a fictional (!!!) family on screen, borders on delusional.
M.D Honestly, if I were in that situation, I would not only be grateful to the woman who adopted and took care of my child, but I would also be sensitive to how she would feel about losing her adopted child because it was not her fault and she would not have been aware that the child was stolen. I would have thought about that and tried to work something out with her in regards to getting my child back. I certainly would not walk into her house and rip the child out of her arms.
Anyone doing that would be totally cruel and heartless, not just to the adoptive mother but to the child who has only known one mother and one home.
If this were the other way around and it was stefy’s child who was stolen - you would be singing an entirely different tune. Oh and I lower cased / spelled stef’s name incorrectly intentionally. Lol.
Because initially I thought it was Colly’s comment I was replying to. And she goes out of her way to spell Brooke’s name wrong / lower case it on every single post she writes. Go back to her comments and look if you don’t believe me. That’s Colly’s little “passive aggressive” way of disrespecting Brooke. So I was making a point by doing the same thing with Steffy’s name.
I don't think that's what Colly does. E.g. She spells my name Ell all the time instead of Elle. I don't think it's intentional however, it could be that her auto-correct or her auto-suggest is not turned on.

I like seeing Liam hanging with his father and/or brother. Bill always has a few funny insults about Ridge, "the dress maker". And Wyatt seems cool and reasonable. Uh, Taylor needs to get her own place. As much as Steffy annoys me, she and Finn should not always be interrupted. Once the kids are put to bed, it's mommy-daddy private time.

Meaning slowly introducing Hope to Beth and then transitioning her into Hope and Liam’s home. Best interest of the child and all.

Hope won’t entertain Douglas living with Thomas any time at all! That is NOT how shared custody works. And they do not have a formal legal agreement about parenting time etc. The law very much protects a Father’s right to parent his child. Hope has utterly denied Thomas that without a court order.
Hope acts like if Douglas doesn’t live with her every day he won’t have a relationship with Beth or her and Liam, his stepdad! Douglas is Liam’s cousin twice removed!
Funny how Hope has no problems with Beth never seeing her half sister Kelly or having no relationship with her… how hypocritical can one be??

Beth was a tiny baby, and I don't think she lived with Steffy long enough for it to have been some traumatic ordeal. Speaking as an actual mother, If my baby had been stolen from me, you can bet your ass I would be getting her/him back asap, anyone would. There's nothing unreasonable about taking your kidnapped and sold child back. Douglas is older, and was not kidnapped, nor sold through some sketchy illegal baby trade like beth was. The two are not even remotely the same.

Lynn, what are you talking about? Both Kelly and Hayes are frequently seen on the show. We had a change in the Kelly actress then she was changed back to the original actress. People have been commenting on these kids so how can they do that if the kids are not seen? If you want to talk about a kid who is never seen, you need to talk about Beth who is either with Aunt Donna, at a sleepover or being taken care of by Douglas.

And they have only reintroduced Douglas recently. We hadn’t seen him for months and months and months. ReplyDeleteThe difference is this - Hope had been told her newborn baby died. Hope was completely devastated and beyond distraught that she had lost her newborn child. So much so, that she told Liam to go be with Steffy and be a father to Kelly in Steffy’s house. I recall Hope telling Liam she wanted a divorce because she was so broken. But truth was - her newborn baby had been stolen from her and given / sold (whatever) to Steffy. Hope had ZERO clue!!! And crazy Thomas (the one that everyone thinks is reformed LMAO) kept it from Hope for months after he found out the truth! Did it suck for Steffy…sure it did. But Hope wasn’t about to lose one more day with baby Beth. She had already lost 6 plus months of her baby’s life!!
Now let’s flash forward to Thomas and Douglas - Thomas asked Hope to take care of his son when he couldn’t. He admitted that very thing more than once over the past few weeks of episodes. Thomas wasn’t tricked like you guys are making it seem. Maybe he was not completely clear about what exactly he was signing at the time. But if he felt he got tricked into signing papers he shouldn’t have, then he could have easily taken Hope to court to contest it. But he did not! Neither did ANY of the Forresters!!! Everyone was perfectly happy letting Hope take on that responsibly!! And Thomas has said time and time again how grateful he was that Hope did such a great job and stepped up to raise Douglas! Those are not the words of a father who “got tricked!’
So as we keep saying - TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT SCENARIOS!!!!

DeleteLynn, stolen or not, Hope did not have to walk into Steffy's living room and rip the baby out of Steffy's arms. She could have shown some compassion. And that is the point. At least Thomas did not just walk into Hope's home and rip Douglas away from her. He brought up the matter with her first then further discussed it with her before he took Douglas anywhere.
You may not want to admit that Hope was cruel to Steffy in the way she acted with Beth but it does not mean that she wasn't cruel and insensitive. There was a much better way that she could have gone about it.
As for Thomas signing over rights to Hope, it was indeed a complete trickery. Brooke went behind Thomas' back and had papers drawn up (it was not Thomas' idea) then told Hope to pretend that she was interested in Thomas and go to dinner with him. Hope was apprehensive at first because she did not want to participate in such a trickery but Brooke eventually convinced her to do it. Hope then turned on the charm for Thomas at dinner and convinced him that it would be best that she becomes Thomas' mother so that THEY (she and Thomas) could be a proper family for Douglas. When Thomas signed, he thought that Hope wanted to be with him and Douglas as a family. That's trickery, according to the law and if that were to come out in court (which I doubt it would since Thomas will not take it there), Hope would immediately lose her status as Douglas' mother.
If by cruel and insensitive you mean taking back what was literally stolen from her, then yes Hope is guilty for taking back HER child that she didn’t even know was alive. That’s like saying if someone steals your car you should ease your way into taking possession of it again once you locate it. And this is not a car - it’s her CHILD! Moreover, Hope very much told Steffy she was welcome to come and visit Beth anytime she wanted. But absolutely positively Hope was taking possession of HER child again!

DeleteBy the way as mentioned by previous posters, Hope is such a great mum she lets 2 yr old Beth play alone unsupervised on an estate that includes a huge unfenced swimming pool, woods including wild animals, plenty of sharp pointy objects a small child can get hurt on, not to mention get lost, stumble onto a road etc. oh and sends the same baby to sleep overs etc. Poor Douglas wanders out of the house in the night and no one notices? They allow Brooke to gaslight the child the all collaborate to shut him up and hide the truth, block his access to his father and family… stellar parenting there! Hope is never with those kids they are always with a sitter, Auntie Donna, daycare or at friend’s homes. It’s not even like Hope is working 99% of the time. She’s whining to mummy or trying clumsily to seduce Liam ( so painful and awkward I have to ffwd) or having lunch with Daddy and whining… etc. She wants all or nothing. If she ever let Thomas actually share custody and have his son live halvsies with him, he wouldn’t be asking for full custody now. DeleteM.D Honestly, if I were in that situation, I would not only be grateful to the woman who adopted and took care of my child, but I would also be sensitive to how she would feel about losing her adopted child because it was not her fault and she would not have been aware that the child was stolen. I would have thought about that and tried to work something out with her in regards to getting my child back. I certainly would not walk into her house and rip the child out of her arms.
