I AM SO SICK OF THE STUPID REPETITIVE DIALOGUE!!!! No one talks like these people in real life. Constantly talking about how awesome and blessed they/their family is, rehashing the same story with the same people over and over 60000 times. It is relentless and cringey! These rich glamorous people must have more to discuss than the same vapid shit every damn minute. It is so unnatural and unrealistic. The writers are really pushing me to quit watching this show
I agree Hilary.. it’s like the writers go back through the shows history and whatever gave good ratings then, they rehash , so they don’t have to come up with anything new.. the show went downhill when bell junior took over.. you wouldn’t even know the show is about a fashion house anymore.. we see a dress fitting in the office once a month in real time just to show it’s a fashion house, but long gone are the days of fashion shows and rival fashion houses.. they need to rename the show!!

I'm not even a native English speaker, I can only imagine how painful it must be for intelligent American ears... sometimes I just watch old episodes to remember how great it used to be till ca 2009-2011...
M.D, bell juniors father started it, and it was awesome, until he passed away and his talentless son took over.. the way the show has been since, it’s like all of bell juniors fantasies, just sex, cheating, more sex, partner swapping etc etc.. when was the last fashion show? If I were just new to b&b, I would have no idea that’s it’s actually about a world famous fashion house!! It’s like he can’t come up with anything new, so he goes back and recycles, cut and paste, and rinse repeat, then boom!!
@Colly I have watched it since I was a kid in the 90s and only stopped around 2010 and since then randomly return to it when I remember. Also it's not very easy to watch it where I am (Germany) - none of the American sites allow viewers outside USA 😒 (thank God for Bob ❤️) I think only in recent years it got really terrible, before that it was just not as good as until 2008 let's say. I loved the stories with the Marones for example, it was so exciting to see and even though I wasn't a fan of how Brooke, Bridget and Taylor had the same man the love stories of all three with him were somehow exciting. Remember the music? Also the story with baby Jack who neither Brooke nor Taylor remember now and one gave birth to him, the other an egg, and back then all of them (plus Bridget and somehow Katie too 😂) wanted to be his moms. I maybe I'm too "old" but can't imagine newer generations even being that dumb to not notice the low quality of the soap now...
I agree all! I miss the golden days of B&B! The dialogue was witty and there was snark and double entendre. Exotic locales and lots glam from the Fashion showdowns. I miss seeing more than two rooms in Forrester, they have two offices now and apparently anyone can commandeer the CEO office??
I miss the industrial espionage and Spectra working hard to release their knock-off designs before a big Forrester fashion show 😂 I miss the storylines etc. I wish they could get rid of Bell and get some real writers on the show… spend a bit more on sets and wardrobe and make the show fun to watch again.

I thought I saw someone post a place or I think it’s an app, that you can watch all the soaps without adds and where ever you are in the world? 🤣🤣🤣 me too!! I really miss sally spectra!! She was soooo funny and such a likeable character.. I was always rooting for her, being the underdog!! And there was soooo much humor, even during serious scenes!! That was when bell senior ran the show.. he really did make the best soap on television.. it just a pitty his son didn’t inherit his imagination, writing skills, and hard work ethic.. @Colly actually there's a YouTube channel called boldandbeautiful where they post all the old episodes, every day about 6 from different times (90s, 2000s, 2010s). I do watch them from time to time there but that mostly makes me more angry that nowadays with all the advantages we have they make it worse instead of better 😂 you can't mask bad writing and that's the truth.
Yes it was Brookes egg, she had it frozen but it got mixed up with Taylor's 🙈 felt bad for both back then! But it was really cool well thought storyline to intertwine their lives. Nowadays only us old dogs remember it 😂

Yes, I notice how Brooke was happy for Donna, but we all know it won't last long because she has a record of sneaking around and having a fling with younger guys, lets really see if she has really matured and is sincerely in love with Eric. For me it’s not a competition. I’m wondering why you insist that Brooke has changed after just four years when her character was the same and worse for decades, yet say Thomas can never change etc. History is important and one can choose to ignore it. The fact is, Brooke hated Thomas long before he ever did anything. She literally lied to his father about him from his birth to keep Taylor and Ridge apart. She resented him for being Ridge and Taylor’s son, and hated him for refusing her when she tried to sleep with him ( he was a minor at the time, another accident when she didn’t know what she was doing). Brooke doesn’t forgive or forget and she was gunning for him ever since. Something you likely missed after watching the show just over four years now.

Lynn, this is a blog about a fictional show where people would have their faves and their not so faves. You have continued to admit that you've watched this show for "a little over 4 years," "4 years" and "3 and a half years" (not sure which is accurate but it's what you've stated.) People who have watched the show since it started or for far more than 4 years have the advantage of knowing about the history of the show and, as such, comments are made on these characters based on their history.
You do not have that advantage, unfortunately. So when you talk about toxic comments getting you fired up, you need to understand that people comment based on the history of the character. Since you do not have the privilege of knowing the history, you can only go by what you see now and you will miss certain traits of any specific character because you do not know their history. This does not mean, however, that it gives you the right to attack others because of their opinions of a fictional character or because they have watched the show longer than you have. You came on to this blog where there was a healthy and fun discussion of the show INCLUDING persons who were pro-Logans and started attacking people left, right and centre for their opinions.
I am glad that D called you out on your alter-egos because I too, have been having the belief that you are a high-schooler pretending to be an adult. However, alter-ego will also explain it especially since you claim to have looked at this show for several different periods of time like you're not really sure how long you've looked at it.
It has made coming to this blog painful and not as fun. And while there are people who refuse to be run off this blog by you, I, for one, will not continue to come here if it continues to be this way. I also wish that others will do the same so that you and your colleagues can remain the only ones here. That’s not what I saw?? I saw her give him a hugg.. is that unrealistic that people will nit pick over her giving her son a hugg? Each to their own I guess, but I have a teenage daughters and a daughter who is 21, and we are a very close nit family, and we do hugg each other at the end of the day or before we leave somewhere and give each other a peck on the cheek, and tell each other we love each other, every time we talk even on the phone when we say good bye we say I love u, ten times a day.. you never know what tomorrow brings.. but I guess everyone is different by the way they are.. in all honesty Hillary, no matter what I or others say on here about the parenting on the show, in reality, I would never judge a parent, because it’s the most challenging experience in life and we certainly never get it right all the time.. we can only do our best and hope they will always know they are loved and cherished and safe and it’s unconditional.. we banter about it on here, but in reality, I am that type of mother I just explained, and all families are different and have their ways.. Subtlety is not Taylor’s strong point. She’s using the Douglas situation and the Forrestor dinners to drive a wedge between Brooke and Ridge. Agreed Colly. Brooke has always been the one to resort to trickery to get what she wants. We might see a return to that. Especially if she thinks Hope is going to lose Douglas.
I can definately see her using Donna to spy and report so she can do something, and she will do something, wether it’s that app or something else?? Maybe another iron clad document tricked into signing again, but I don’t think Thomas will fall for that again?
Part of the reason Taylor is so annoying is that everything she says and does is grossly exaggerated….her mannerisms, her words, her outward displays of affection. Even Thomas looks at her like she’s crazy and says….Of course I’m happy mom, what’s not to be happy about?!” Which translates to….”Dial it back mom! The opioids you are taking seem to be creating an unnatural euphoria about you!” She’s way too excited all the time! Like I said earlier - no one is that overly happy constantly! I just checked JMW instagram - they had such a great time in Monte Carlo 😍 4 days partying while we're here barking at each other about the show😅 puts things in perspective seeing their real lives.
M.D, they are all great mates off screen, and really nice people!! Even Sheila 🤣🤣 so we have to give them great credit, love or hate their characters, it’s a testament to them that they are doing a great job on screen to have the audience in such a great divide!! I hate brook, but I love KKL, she is a beautiful personality off screen.. and she is very down to earth.. I haven’t told anyone, but I actually got to meet KKL one time when she came to Australia.. I have a very close friend who is a very high class and in demand hair dresser.. she does all the television personalities on special occasions and she was hand picked by KKL to do her hair for an event here.. and I looove her kaftan range of clothing.. she has awesome taste!!
Colly I’ve seen a lot of posts that have with KKL, JMW, KA and KB shopping, at baby showers etc. I think that’s why the paint fight had so many giggles, they were just having fun. The actors laugh at their characters and dialogue and with the shite writers on here they would need to keep a sense of humour about it 😂.

Guys, it was really cool, we sat and had coffee while gess was doing her hair, I was “assisting”, 🤣🤣🤣 not really, but gess invited me with kkl’s permission cause she knows I love the show.. I had to go from Canberra to sydney, because gess and I are both from another state, but I drove up with gess.. It was a really fun weekend all up, but the highlight was KKL!! She was soooo sweet, and so down to earth, that I was actually a bit weirded out 🤣🤣🤣 because looking at her , I see brook, but talking to her, she was just a down to earth chick!! And yes, that infamous giggle she has on the show, that is not put on, she really does giggle like that 🤣🤣🤣 M.D, I am not sure if she here filming for that visit?? She has been here a few times now, but gess was doing her hair for an event she was attending that night.. this was years ago now.. and she is very attractive, more so with minimal make up!!
Happy for you that you had that experience! 🤗 KKL and John McCook are the last ones (if we don't count Sheila and Deacon who came later) left from that good times, once they retire I will stop watching the show for sure. I just don't care about any of the others, none of their children had such interesting fate just privilege and fake rivalry (nothing like Brooke and real Taylor's catfights). For me it's also all the actor changes, I don't handle it too well 🙈 if there are no memories, there's no history and they just live in the vacuum of now only left for us to "argue" remembering history.
I know what you mean though.. they are not showing the ridge Taylor memories because both actors have changed.. I love the flash backs , because it brings back the nostalgia the show once had.. I think the other longest standing actors , although still came just a little later , are bill, steffy, Liam.. can’t remember how long Katie, Donna and carter have been on or if the character changed.. but Thomas has changed actors a few times..
but from the time the soap actually started, brook and Eric r the last of the Mohicans, as I like to say 🤭.. I think KKL will stick around for as long the show lasts for, and I am expecting its demise sometime in the near future the way they are going!! But I think John M is getting on and will probably retire at some stage.. I think it would not b the same without either of them..
@Colly The show's ratings are low in the US but they have a huge international fanbase, moreso than the other soaps. This is why the show keeps getting renewed every year. If the show continues to excel internationally, then it will be on for some time to come.
Oh, that makes sense Elle, but the tithed shows r just as bad, if not worse.. I think Y&R is also a bell production? Or is it DOOL.. or mayb both? But I know at least one of them is also a bell production and they r both going down the toilet.. I thought I read somewhere not long, some of the actors from the sister show r leaving because they have had it with bell as well as the shows sl’s? But I can’t remember exact details.. I guess international ratings would be higher because that’s every other country in the world equals much higher than the US alone!!

If I were just new to b&b, I would have no idea that’s it’s actually about a world famous fashion house!! It’s like he can’t come up with anything new, so he goes back and recycles, cut and paste, and rinse repeat, then boom!!

Delete@Colly I have watched it since I was a kid in the 90s and only stopped around 2010 and since then randomly return to it when I remember. Also it's not very easy to watch it where I am (Germany) - none of the American sites allow viewers outside USA 😒 (thank God for Bob ❤️) I think only in recent years it got really terrible, before that it was just not as good as until 2008 let's say. I loved the stories with the Marones for example, it was so exciting to see and even though I wasn't a fan of how Brooke, Bridget and Taylor had the same man the love stories of all three with him were somehow exciting. Remember the music? Also the story with baby Jack who neither Brooke nor Taylor remember now and one gave birth to him, the other an egg, and back then all of them (plus Bridget and somehow Katie too 😂) wanted to be his moms. I maybe I'm too "old" but can't imagine newer generations even being that dumb to not notice the low quality of the soap now...
I agree all! I miss the golden days of B&B! The dialogue was witty and there was snark and double entendre. Exotic locales and lots glam from the Fashion showdowns. I miss seeing more than two rooms in Forrester, they have two offices now and apparently anyone can commandeer the CEO office??

And there was soooo much humor, even during serious scenes!! I do watch them from time to time there but that mostly makes me more angry that nowadays with all the advantages we have they make it worse instead of better 😂 you can't mask bad writing and that's the truth.

Yes, I notice how Brooke was happy for Donna, but we all know it won't last long because she has a record of sneaking around and having a fling with younger guys, lets really see if she has really matured and is sincerely in love with Eric. I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s actually going to be Douglas that uses that app to manipulate hope into leaving Liam, so he, hope, Thomas and Beth can be a happy family.. i think they are trying to throw us off , by making it look like Thomas is going to start his obsessive behaviour again.. I think Thomas will fight his demons, but Douglas will see how much Thomas loves hope, and he will try to get them together.. he is a very intelligent kid..

Or when Thomas put that scary noise recording under Douglas’ bed at night to terrify his own son so he’d run downstairs in complete fear and ask Hope to stay! And poor Douglas was manipulated into holding onto that secret until his conscience got the best of him and he told Liam and Hope the truth about Beth! When I first came on this blog a couple years ago, pretty much all I saw was Forrester lovers and Brooke bashers. It was extremely biased. So the reason I started commenting at all was to help address the obvious imbalance. Since then tho, A LOT more Logan fans have started posting comments. I have seen the shift first hand and it’s awesome! So yes, I came on here and stay on here for that very reason. You go ahead and stick with Colly and BBfan. Right where you belong. 😂😂
Oh and D - you’re pretty new here, so you don’t know the characters yet. And clearly you don’t know Liam at all if you think he is going to use that recording device against Thomas. That won’t happen in a million years. Liam is far too much of a grownup to participate in something like that.

I’m wondering why you insist that Brooke has changed after just four years when her character was the same and worse for decades, yet say Thomas can never change etc. History is important and one can choose to ignore it. The fact is, Brooke hated Thomas long before he ever did anything. She literally lied to his father about him from his birth to keep Taylor and Ridge apart. She resented him for being Ridge and Taylor’s son, and hated him for refusing her when she tried to sleep with him ( he was a minor at the time, another accident when she didn’t know what she was doing). Brooke doesn’t forgive or forget and she was gunning for him ever since. Something you likely missed after watching the show just over four years now.

DeleteLynn, this is a blog about a fictional show where people would have their faves and their not so faves. You have continued to admit that you've watched this show for "a little over 4 years," "4 years" and "3 and a half years" (not sure which is accurate but it's what you've stated.) People who have watched the show since it started or for far more than 4 years have the advantage of knowing about the history of the show and, as such, comments are made on these characters based on their history.
You do not have that advantage, unfortunately. So when you talk about toxic comments getting you fired up, you need to understand that people comment based on the history of the character. Since you do not have the privilege of knowing the history, you can only go by what you see now and you will miss certain traits of any specific character because you do not know their history. This does not mean, however, that it gives you the right to attack others because of their opinions of a fictional character or because they have watched the show longer than you have. You came on to this blog where there was a healthy and fun discussion of the show INCLUDING persons who were pro-Logans and started attacking people left, right and centre for their opinions.
I am glad that D called you out on your alter-egos because I too, have been having the belief that you are a high-schooler pretending to be an adult. However, alter-ego will also explain it especially since you claim to have looked at this show for several different periods of time like you're not really sure how long you've looked at it.
It has made coming to this blog painful and not as fun. And while there are people who refuse to be run off this blog by you, I, for one, will not continue to come here if it continues to be this way. I also wish that others will do the same so that you and your colleagues can remain the only ones here. It seems that is your intention anyway since the main reason you started posting here is because it was too anti-Logans.

And as far as your little dig about me being some high schooler - I just laugh. What a ridiculous assumption. Not sure where you would even come up with something so absurd. I am in the age range of most of your little “clique” on this blog. Mid 50’s. I watched the show in my 20’s for about 4-5 years. Then started watching again 4 plus years ago.
I already left this blog once for over a month because of the nastiness that emanated from it.
I came back on because I wasn’t gonna be shut out because my views weren’t “the popular views”. However, us Logan fans have our own little clique now. There are many more of us.
And as a FYI…none of you were ever on the other side of it. You always had your strong fan base. And the snarkier the comments got about the Logan’s, the snarkier my comments got. So blame yourselves.

And I have been sick of Sheila for a couple of decades. I guess a good psycho villain keeps the show interesting. But it's starting to get like Jason in the Friday the 13th movies. Enough already!

DeleteWell Brooke has slept with all the Forrester men except Thomas and Zende but there’s still time for that lol. Brooke always calls herself a Logan and doesn’t actually identify as a Forrester. She is always loyal to “her” family first.. and uses family get togethers to with make snarky comments about others or cause a scene. Even Eric seems to have lost some of the rosey tint that he usually has when it comes to Brooke.

Each to their own I guess, but I have a teenage daughters and a daughter who is 21, and we are a very close nit family, and we do hugg each other at the end of the day or before we leave somewhere and give each other a peck on the cheek, and tell each other we love each other, every time we talk even on the phone when we say good bye we say I love u, ten times a day.. you never know what tomorrow brings.. but I guess everyone is different by the way they are.. in all honesty Hillary, no matter what I or others say on here about the parenting on the show, in reality, I would never judge a parent, because it’s the most challenging experience in life and we certainly never get it right all the time.. we can only do our best and hope they will always know they are loved and cherished and safe and it’s unconditional.. we banter about it on here, but in reality, I am that type of mother I just explained, and all families are different and have their ways.. I just think Taylor giving Thomas a big hugg is not a big deal!! But that’s my own opinion though, and each to their own..

DeleteSubtlety is not Taylor’s strong point. She’s using the Douglas situation and the Forrestor dinners to drive a wedge between Brooke and Ridge. She saw Thomas the night before, but acts as if she hasn’t seen him in ages. Truly, she’s only there to see Ridge, not her son. Can you say female dog in heat!!!

DeleteD I hope they do!! 🤣🤣 and I really would not put it past brook.. but I feel that Douglas doesn’t want to go back to hopes, I think he really wants to stay with his dad, and hope is starting to realise that, and that’s why she came home so upset.. and mayb Douglas might try to set hips up with Thomas using that app.. I say this , because when hope and Thomas were talking the first time she went there, he made it a point to tell hope that he was not coaching Douglas to say what hw is saying.. so the twist could be that Douglas does it, but they blame Thomas as doing it and manipulating?? But either way, wether it’s Douglas, or brook, I think if Thomas does fight his demons, he is still going to be accused of manipulating because of the device.. Mayb Donna tells brook about it, and that gives brook the idea to use it, with donnas help? Donna might download it and use it so someone overhears and thinks it him?? We will have to see? DeleteI just checked JMW instagram - they had such a great time in Monte Carlo 😍 4 days partying while we're here barking at each other about the show😅 puts things in perspective seeing their real lives.

Even Sheila 🤣🤣 so we have to give them great credit, love or hate their characters, it’s a testament to them that they are doing a great job on screen to have the audience in such a great divide!! I hate brook, but I love KKL, she is a beautiful personality off screen.. and she is very down to earth.. I haven’t told anyone, but I actually got to meet KKL one time when she came to Australia.. I have a very close friend who is a very high class and in demand hair dresser.. she does all the television personalities on special occasions and she was hand picked by KKL to do her hair for an event here.. and I looove her kaftan range of clothing.. she has awesome taste!!

DeleteColly I’ve seen a lot of posts that have with KKL, JMW, KA and KB shopping, at baby showers etc. I think that’s why the paint fight had so many giggles, they were just having fun. The actors laugh at their characters and dialogue and with the shite writers on here they would need to keep a sense of humour about it 😂.

DeleteGuys, it was really cool, we sat and had coffee while gess was doing her hair, I was “assisting”, 🤣🤣🤣 not really, but gess invited me with kkl’s permission cause she knows I love the show.. I had to go from Canberra to sydney, because gess and I are both from another state, but I drove up with gess.. It was a really fun weekend all up, but the highlight was KKL!! She was soooo sweet, and so down to earth, that I was actually a bit weirded out 🤣🤣🤣 because looking at her , I see brook, but talking to her, she was just a down to earth chick!! And yes, that infamous giggle she has on the show, that is not put on, she really does giggle like that 🤣🤣🤣 M.D, I am not sure if she here filming for that visit?? She has been here a few times now, but gess was doing her hair for an event she was attending that night.. this was years ago now.. and she is very attractive, more so with minimal make up!!
ReplyDeleteHappy for you that you had that experience! 🤗 KKL and John McCook are the last ones (if we don't count Sheila and Deacon who came later) left from that good times, once they retire I will stop watching the show for sure. I just don't care about any of the others, none of their children had such interesting fate just privilege and fake rivalry (nothing like Brooke and real Taylor's catfights). For me it's also all the actor changes, I don't handle it too well 🙈 if there are no memories, there's no history and they just live in the vacuum of now only left for us to "argue" remembering history.
DeleteI know what you mean though.. they are not showing the ridge Taylor memories because both actors have changed.. I love the flash backs , because it brings back the nostalgia the show once had.. I think the other longest standing actors , although still came just a little later , are bill, steffy, Liam.. can’t remember how long Katie, Donna and carter have been on or if the character changed.. but Thomas has changed actors a few times..
Deletebut from the time the soap actually started, brook and Eric r the last of the Mohicans, as I like to say 🤭.. I think KKL will stick around for as long the show lasts for, and I am expecting its demise sometime in the near future the way they are going!! But I think John M is getting on and will probably retire at some stage.. I think it would not b the same without either of them..
@Colly The show's ratings are low in the US but they have a huge international fanbase, moreso than the other soaps. This is why the show keeps getting renewed every year. If the show continues to excel internationally, then it will be on for some time to come.

But I know at least one of them is also a bell production and they r both going down the toilet.. I thought I read somewhere not long, some of the actors from the sister show r leaving because they have had it with bell as well as the shows sl’s? But I can’t remember exact details.. I guess international ratings would be higher because that’s every other country in the world equals much higher than the US alone!!
