Hope 😅😀😂 making every point possible to make sure Thomas gets that she's nowhere near the "love" neighborhood with him. If I'm him, all that "you're not it" talk would totally c0ckblock me. Btw I understand from character development perspective why they went with that relationship with her. Like or not the direction, she is evolving. I just can't stop thinking if while grinding at him she also remembers sitting on his lap as a toddler and him calling her sister.
ReplyDeleteEric, you should focus on your line and the shared time with RJ, not on Ridge. These negative emotions with Ridge are not good considering his health. Ridge, so now you suddenly have time to "do it together". What happened with being too busy when your Dad wanted to do it together? Apparently not that much once you saw the designs. But then, when he's rejected, it's back to "what if it doesn't succeed?" and "you don't need to do this". Ridge, like Taylor back then, you may want to think some more before walking in a room and talking - what will your point be?
Brooke's suit looks like an "after" picture of Bonnie Parker from the final shoot-out. They should save it for a Dateline or 48 Hours prop of re-enactment of grizzly murder.

Almost all of Eric's other children at one point or the other have mentioned that their parents favoring Ridge has driven them away. And I personally have never seen Ridge try anything to change that, quite the opposite. He's always seen himself as the most deserving one because he has designing talent. Only Rick really stood a chance but then he also moved "to Paris". To Ridge nobody else exists besides Ridge and his orbit. I really hope this competition somehow knocks him down a peg or two. I still can't believe he rejected Eric's plea to have his *final* collection together. If it was my dad it wouldn't even cross my mind to say no. But it will be a chance for RJ to shine 🤩

Ufff I also think Thomas may not be entirely happy his and his lover's brother is in the spotlight with Eric. And even his own dad saying that RJ has the potential to be the G.O.A.T 🐐😅🙈that pains even me on behalf of Thomas.

DeleteMilla Hope never had a passionate relationship with her husband. Those two were always more like roommates who tried to force intimacy it never felt natural with them. They never had a good marriage. Liam always treated Hope like a child that couldn’t and shouldn’t think for herself. He told her what to do, who to be around, etc. He said he was supportive then actively undermined her confidence and was very controlling. He cheated on her and expected her to just forgive him and carry on as if nothing had happened. Yet she literally makes one mistake and he can’t get over it.

I was being sarcastic about her having morals before. To me talking about morals while your pursuing a married man, demanding he leave his wife and marry you, living and sleeping with him too. That’s not moral. He was still married. Like they are still married and she and Liam are both wrong for pursuing something with other people until the divorce is final.
I know that's what you think but that never convinced me. Hope and Liam's relationship was one of the most emotionally-charged, raw and changing that I have seen. The fact that she was not shown (or maybe was but I didn't watch) rolling on the office couch with him shows even more how loving and real it was, not how less "passionate". It was plenty passionate considering what they DID for each other. And make no mistake, it is not dead. It never will be.

DeleteDebbie to be honest I also don't know all of it, but Mmysh knows all the history and can tell us what Hope did step by step 😅 What I know is that Liam and Steffy were separated but hadn't signed annulment papers. He wanted to be back with Hope as the only reason they broke up was Steffy and Bill's manipulations. So yes he was technically married to Steffy when Hope moved in with him and lost her virginity to him, but Steffy knew that he wanted out. And that's what I mean by Hope wanting to get him back - because without Steffy and Bill's manipulations they wouldn't have broken up in the first place. Btw if you check the YouTube channel boldandbeautiful, all those episodes are from 2011-2012 (but I also understand why you wouldn't want to waste time with something from over a decade ago; that was also my original point).

So she gave him a divorce which means six months until he and hope can get married
So hope wanted to take the power steffy has over her and have sex with liam
Which was so so wrong and bad advice from brook too

We didn’t see her saying that thomas is cheating with hope while its the same situation 🤔
And again steffy used hope’s morals against her and hope felt guilty and started to go to psychiatric and moved out of Liam’s,
K, tired of sitting on my hands. All these comments about morals and the message it sends to people? Soaps are not that kind of entertainment, you should watch Dr. Phil. And sorry, the comment about lust animal sex is hot and sometimes nice. Then to go and say some may see it better maybe they never experience it when there is real love involved? Have to agree with Maur, it is a sanctimonious and naive comment to assume that about people. And if my dad had of asked me to do something for him that meant alot, I too would have definitely dropped everything to please him but if I saw there could be a serious health risk from stress, I would try and talk him out of it. Sorry I tried to keep it short too.
DeleteD, I agree that soaps are not moral entertainment. The problem is that the role of Hope, until recently, has been one of a young woman who was very moral. That is what differentiated Hope from the rest of the cast. Now, she has done a total 180 and it feels out of character. If the writers changed Brooke's storyline to have her suddenly throw away her "destiny" and become a nun (😂), that total change in personality would also feel out of character. A variety of personalities is a good thing. Hope is becoming like her Mom. Isn't one Brooke enough?

DeleteRenee I agree 100% with you. That's the reason I was also so disillusioned with Hope, this Hope that I've known from Annika was a beautiful soul who got ruined. Like I said above, I understand why they did it but I still don't like it one bit.

DeleteHope was never moral until this current actress took over the role and took the Hope character in a completely different direction. For example, divorce papers were indeed signed but ONLY after Hope, the virgin, had already had sex with married Liam and then proceeded to move in with him. Also, Bill and Steffy did NOT manipulate Liam into marrying Steffy. Liam willing proposed to Steffy, willingly went to Aspen with her and willingly agreed to get married in Aspen. Bill's manipulations came in when Hope found out that Liam and Steffy were in Aspen and she rushed to Aspen in an effort to win Liam back. This was when Bill stopped the gondola that she was in until Liam and Steffy's wedding (which Liam wanted) was over. Also, Steffy did not want an annulment because she did not want their marriage to be wiped from the records as if it never existed, that's why she asked for a divorce and again, Liam was WILLING to grant her request which made Hope very upset. And let's not forget that when Steffy finally signed the divorce papers, Liam ripped them up! So this idea that Bill and Steffy manipulated the situation is not altogether true. Liam had a very big part to play here as well since he agreed to divorce instead of annulment and since he ripped up the papers after Steffy signed them.
Regarding Hope's morals, in addition to sleeping and shacking up with a married man, she was also addicted to drugs and went along with a secret wedding to Liam which her mother put together and which SHE KNEW Liam did not want. Hope's morals? Kinda iffy if you ask me. I will however, agree that since this current actress took over, she has made the Hope character much better in terms of morals and values.

Elle so Liam ripped the annulment papers, right? Then they proceeded with the divorce. So he didn't want to stay married to her, he wanted to grant her wish to acknowledge the marriage as valid and end it properly with a divorce. But his wish was to be with Hope.

Been sitting on my hands at the skewed version of history we always get thrown our way so sorry have to say something!
DeleteHope was a Child, a Minor involved with a Man in his twenties! She was spoiled, selfish, entitled, bratty princess! I laugh every time Brooke talking about what Hope went through growing up like she was a poor little thing. Hope grew up in that grand estate that Brooke still inhabits.
Hope literally had everything given to her on a platter. She wanted to not be like mummy, throwing herself at men and sleeping with anyone and always in the tabloids.
Hope wanted a Disney Princess life with Prince Charming and when Liam turned out to be the mere mortal he was she couldn't handle that. Hope wanted to get married so she could have sex without guilt and have the fairytale family blah blah. She had NO concept of what being married or in a grownup relationship was or should be because all she had seen was the mess her mother made of her life and her children's lives.
Hope has always given ultimatums and run away when things didn't workout perfectly. Hope's relationship with Liam was all teenage angst and constant drama. Constant demands. She chucked tantrums, threw away Liam like toys from a her pram and then expected him to sit on his hands until she decided she wanted to play again!
Hope decided to take off her ring and BREAK her OWN engagement! That was 100% her decision and NOT a manipulation. Hope acted like the spoiled child she was! Hope never expected Liam to move on and could not accept it when it happened.
She refused to recognise that he already had fallen for Steffy. Liam CHOSE to be with Steffy. He loved her and they had an exciting and vital life together. Steffy brought him out of his shell and gave him confidence to try and enjoy new things. She had a sense of adventure and he was happier with her, none of the childish petty drama and insecurities that he had with Hope!
When Hope found out Liam and Steffy were getting married she changed her mind and wanted Liam back. She wanted her toy back and felt entitled to have him! Hope was NEVER told no when she wanted something. Hope rushed off to stop a marriage that Liam wanted, chose and fully, happily participated in!!
Bill, rightly, didn't want his son sucked back into Hope's endless teenage drama. Bill saw how happy Liam was and how good he and Steffy were for each other and how much they loved each other. Bill chose to prevent Hope from blowing up Liam and Steffy's wedding!
Unlike Hope and Brooke with their secret marriage ambush that they KNEW Liam DID not Want, his marriage to Steffy was planned.
Did Bill have his henchy keep Hope in the Gondola so she couldn't ruin the wedding, of course he did! Hope fans will never forgive Steffy for that because she knew. Steffy was under NO obligation to allow Hope to destroy the life she and Liam were building together! Hope was spoiled child. Steffy didn't OWE her anything!
Liam was happy to marry Steffy, he still has happy flashbacks to their wedding and honeymoon in Aspen.
As for the divorce papers, Liam also tore those up because he loved his wife. He didn't want to lose the life had with Steffy. Having Hope there making her childish demands etc was a stark wake up to the difference between Steffy and a more mature love and life and whiny entitled brat constantly trying to force him to cave. Brooke was pushing it too.
Really LF's act like Liam was tricked into marry Steffy, that is NOT what happened. Those years apart and obstacles Liam and Hope faced were of their own making! Hope gave Liam an ultimatum for Paris and when one of them of was delayed, she ran off and married Wyatt, Liam's brother. Hope chose that! Hope did that so many times over the years, got angry and took off.
Liam knew with Steffy he never had to deal with that because she loved him, was there for him and acted like an adult. They actually had a good marriage when Hope and Brooke weren't trying to ruin it. Or when his lovely father Bill wasn't obsessing and trying to steal his wife away.
DeleteLiam was no angel, he made out with Sally Spectra more than once and there was the whole Ivy debacle. Steffy forgave him for that. She forgave him for sleeping with Hope multiple times and even living with her while they were still married.
End of the day, Hope chased Liam while he was married, it never stopped her. I still don't know how she ever thought Liam would be loyal and faithful to her when he cheated with her how many times while married to Steffy???? He never hid the fact that he was still in love with Steffy. Hope always knew that and was ALWAYS insecure. She knew he missed being with Kelly and Steffy and used to chuck tantrums whenever he went to see his daughter to the point of demanding he be with only her and Beth and Douglas after they got her back.
Hope wasn't some morally superior person. She held herself up as a paragon of virtue but she really wasn't. I am not at all surprised by her current behaviour.
I'm cross with Thomas for sleeping with a married woman (they still haven't filed that we know of) and for letting Hope use him for sex.

ReplyDeleteI think Ridge is panicking because he knows he is up against a force of nature and then add RJ to that mix… Ridge thinks RJ could be the best designer out of all them, so he is really in a panick.. If Eric and RJ blow Ridges collection out of the water, then Ridges credibility as a designer is going to be pointed out in the media.. That’s why he keeps saying “why now”.. Both collections will come out at the same time and the media is going to have a field day.. I believe Ridge is concerned for his dad, for many reasons, his health, and what if this finale line fails, what will the media do, and that’s why Ridge brought that up.. But Ridge is not listening to Eric.. He is not understanding things from Eric’s perspective.. Ridge is also under a lot of pressure, trying to do his couture collection, and with Steffy absent he is taking on more of the running the business side of things, plus he is also worried about the whole Sheila thing.. So I also understand from a business point of view about the timing.. Ridge should not be pushing Eric about stopping alltogether, but try and focus on Eric agreeing about the timing of it, but of course Eric can’t wait because of the arthritis and possible dementia or perhaps Parkinson’s, which is my thought?? Ridge is not aware of this, so it’s not a good position for any of them to be in..
ReplyDeleteI think it’s going to end up a competition between Eric/RJ vs Ridge/Thomas.. I think Thomas is going to get his nose out of joint that Eric brought RJ in on his final collection.. As for Hope and Thomas, I think Hope is being extremely selfish.. If she is so concerned about Thomas and how he would cope with this, she shouldn’t be leading him on like this.. And Thomas, if I were you mate, I would tell her a big resounding NO!! And go flirt with and date some models, then see how in love Hope is with you..!! I love that Hope is finally finding her own two feet, but what she is doing to Thomas is so wrong on so many levels..
I'm sorry, Col but Thomas is a grown man and is completely open to this. He told Hope how he felt and she made it clear that she did not feel the same, so it's not like Hope is leading him on. They are enjoying the freedom they have of being together. Is it sustainable? Hardly. It's anyone's guess how it's going to progress or where they would end up.

DeleteBtw Colly I think the answer to "Why now" is that Eric himself knows his health is declining much faster than anyone can predict. But of course, if he mentions that, it will be another reason for Ridge to try to stop him and he never gets his final collection. It is literally now or never.

It is kind of brilliant (unbelievably so!) how they managed to give Thope fans those "hot" "chemistry" moments while keeping the outraged ones calm with the "I don't love you, this is just sex" disclaimer 😅
Concerning the Thomas issue .They are both consensual adult's having fun. Having said that...Hope knows better than anyone the struggles he has had with his obsession for her..kudos for getting help, working on himself BUT he will always love her and even though she made her feeling known...it was really low on her part to pursue him. Really low.

I agree with Elle that Thomas is a consenting adult, but the more Thomas has these moments with Hope, the more in love and more he will want her.. If she doesn’t feel the same, perhaps she should be on her own for a while to fiqure herself out, not using Thomas as a sex toy till she figures out what she wants.. I think she is keeping her options open incase Liam will eventually want to reunite.. Milla, I agree, that’s what I was saying, Ridge doesn’t know what’s really going on with Eric, and I think if he did, he would bend over backwards to help Eric get his collection out.. Ridge is correct that the timing is not right and it could jeapordise the business and the person who comes in second in this competition.. it’s also going to cause a lot of family conflict, especially between RJ and Thomas.. it will affect the business too.. DeleteWhen she and Thomas had their week-long sex marathon (🤭), she told him that she wanted to continue exploring what was between them. She also told him (and Brooke) that she wanted to be with someone who loved and was only committed to her. Adding to that, she told Brooke that she had feelings for Thomas.
Liam, as well, told both Steffy and Wyatt that Hope has feelings for Thomas. But then, he selfishly got in her head about Thomas' past, which made her decide to walk away from Thomas and give her marriage another try. Thomas was the one that told her that he could give her what Liam couldn't. With Thomas' invitation, but with all that Liam (and Brooke) brainwashed her with, I believe that's when she decided to keep things casual. However, I do not believe for one second that Hope's self-professed feelings for Thomas have simply disappeared.
Also, I believe that by now, Liam or Hope have filed those divorce papers after Liam told her that he was not interested in fixing their marriage.
I think you r right Elle.. the way Brooke said “don’t you dare go back to Thomas”.. Hope is probably frightened of Brooke and Liam finding out what’s going on with her and Thomas.. by keeping it casual with Thomas, no one will find out, if she were to say yes let’s b together Thomas would want to sc ream it from the roof top.. and I do too think her feelings for Thomas have not gone away.. annd with what they are doing her feelings would be getting stronger..

ReplyDeleteI was thinking the exact same thing! If you follow Matt, he is quite religious and on top of all very committed to his fiancée. Those scenes are unique from that perspective - first that he even agreed to do them (it's becoming more common in Hollywood to decline if it's against your morals) but also how convincingly he's doing them.

Lutfiyya, I am sure she had plenty of fun 🤣🤣🤣 considering AN is always so self conscious in front of the camera, she doing a pretty damn good job since this story line.. The chemistry between these two has always been hot, hot 🔥.. it would be so hard for MA fiancé to watch those scenes.. especially knowing that AN has split with her fiancé right at the same time she entered into this story line with MA.. As for all this talk about sex at the office, it seems as if many of the characters have been a party to these antics at some time. It`s been a regular occurrence for Steffy, but apparently viewed differently because it`s Hope, the good girl, but expected and to be accepted from Steffy because it`s common practice.
Hope is seperated and Thomas is single and they are two consenting adults, what about the two liars who are staying silent about their cheating and yet both have been forgiven for doing so much more to Hope and Finn. No wonder Hope has no conscience about what she`s doing.

Unless the business is a brothel, sex in the workplace during business hours is inappropriate. If they caught a couple of the non-family employees doing that in the office on company time, most likely they would be fired. At least Carter & Quinn went to his place. Hope is unaware of what the 2 liars did. That said, Hope knows that Liam has feelings for Steffy.
