DeleteNah, Hope is wearing the ring around her neck because she wants to. It even seemed like she was trying to take credit for the idea when she was telling Brooke about it last week.
DeleteI don't see Thomas as forcing her to wear it. It's "her" decision to wear it until she is ready to give him an answer.
DeleteRen, D, she could have taken it off at anytime, especially when he told her about Emma.. but she didn’t.. in fact the first thing she did was defend him to mother right after that!! So I really don’t think she minds it being there!! As you said Ren, she had no problems showing it to her mother!!

DeleteNoone is forcing Hope to wear the ring around her neck. I think people tell themselves that to somewhat lessen the hate for Hope by making it seem like Thomas is holding a gun to her head. It's difficult to understand that Hope actually has feelings for Thomas and that she is actually considering marrying him. Just not right now.

I tend to go with the most straightforward explanation first. In this case, it would be that Hope actually means what she says, and she's just not ready for marriage yet.
Delete"Well everyone see it as they want to see it" That's fine. I wouldn't say that she wasn't happy with the proposal, just taken aback because it was unexpected. But if you prefer to believe that she was not happy about it, go ahead.
DeleteHowever, based on what you've said in the past about liking Hope and now, not liking her because of the Thomas affair, it is why I said that maybe the blame is being putting on Thomas for forcing the issue so that it makes the idea that Hope is considering his proposal less likely in your mind. It somehow makes Hope less culpable and therefore, you don't completely hate on her.

Elle, I agree love.. I think Hope was shocked that it came out of nowhere and that was more what the expression on her face was.. She could have stopped Thomas putting it on her chain, but didn’t.. As you said, Thomas didn’t put a gun to her head then, or when she dangled it in mother’s face!! She even took credit for it.. I think it is hard for those who are passionate about their feelings with the Thope situation to accept that she can can forgive him and have genuine feelings for him.. therefore unable to be completely objective on this front.. I personally did not feel that Hopd felt forced or obligated to wear it.. it can be harped on that she has not yet said the three words, but at this stage, I feel she is there, but hesitant until she is 100 💯 sure, because she knows how strong his feelings are, are ensuring she doesn’t do or say anything until she is absolutely positive it’s what she feels and what she wants, and considering how soon it is after her marriage ended, that would be expected.. But let’s not dismiss HOW and WHY her marriage ended.. Of all people, she knew Liam would not forgive her if it was Thomas, yet she went there, not one but two passionate kisses and all day holding hands happy acting like a couple.. her feelings started before her marriage even ended.. wether people want to see or admit that?? But we all saw it!!

ReplyDeleteSo Luna accidentally picked up Poppy"s "mints". Can't wait to find out what they are. And I still don't understand Bill continuing to support that restaurant. I wouldn't! I know it's really about the show saving money. They don't want to pay to create another set.
They can use the same set, just redecorate it. They're just lazy.

DeleteI will take your word for it that all the dresses were gorgeous. I did see Luna, and I agree…it was just OK. Not as elegant as the others, but she’s just a kid, so I get it.
Lynn Donna’s dress was stunning, so was Brooke’s I thought, they all did look beautiful.. D I agree, but I don’t think Luna borrowed from the Forrester gowns this time, and it’s what I would expect from someone her age!
