More disappointed in Hope from this episode. She's not using her brain, just like Carter and even advocating more for committing a crime when he is in doubt. Shame on you, Hope. Way to go to be taken seriously - by committing fraud. Nothing says serious like that. At least Steffy and Ridge's signatures are needed like in real life.

Milla agree about Hope. However I do think she’s using her head. I think she’s urging him to do whatever it takes to steal the company. She’s not risking anything and has everything to gain.

Yeah and if he gets arrested, where does that leave her? How will he "protect her" exactly from prison? She has 0 ownership and no management role. I know that you want to paint her to be the devil here and she's hardly innocent, but she's not a mastermind behind a plan that promises anything good for her. Both of them are blinded by their emotions.

DeleteI'm also happy to see that Ridge, while he is showing support for Steffy, does not agree with her decision to fire Hope and get rid of HFTF. I'm glad he is asking questions. My only hope is that he will ask Finn about why he was at the office that day, and if it is possible that Hope knew he was going to be there at that specific point in time. I think Finn is more scared than anything about going against Steffy again.
Elle exactly what I'm hoping too! Hopefully their conversation continues tomorrow too. To be fair to Finn, we've seen him get there eventually when he considers the situation so it may happen this time too.
DeleteM I don’t think Hope is the devil. I don’t think she’s blinded by emotions other than revenge. I think she sees a way to get control through Carter, the first thing he will do is reinstate HFTF and put any available Logan’s in charge of everything!!!

Carter showed a conscience and hesitation to go through with the plan. So Hope turns on the tears and strokes his ego and pushes him to betray everyone who has been nothing but good and supportive to him over the years!
He’s betraying is best friend of many years and committing a felony, throwing away all of his career, for what? He will be disbarred! If he doesn’t do prison time it’s enough for him to lose his right to practice law. NO other company will hire him !
Hope doesn’t care about that! She only cares about it how it benefit her and hurt the Forrester family!
By the way Eric, Ridge, etc have given her everything , treated her like family, put her ahead of their own children!

Hard to believe Finn is a doctor. He knows he walked in that office without saying a peep. Hope popped out & there is no way she could have known who was there. And, that office is not where Steffy sits. Why would he put his wife's belongings on the wrong desk in the wrong office? He has spent enough time making out in Steffy's office, so it is not like he didn't know where she sits.

If Finn hasn't figured it out by now, I don't think he is going to on his own. He is going to have to be told. Finn will probably not accept it until he sees Hope & Carter as a couple. Then, the 💡 will finally turn on. Sort of like Ridge needing a pinecone to hit him in the head. 😂

DeleteLynn Ridge actually meant "walk me through what happened", because apparently Finn is a toddler and needs to be prompted to think. That's what I've been saying all along - the way he is so pre-programmed to believe mommy Steffy knows best and always does the right thing is astonishing. I hope that even if the conversation doesn't continue tomorrow, Finn in his own moment remembers what happened and engages two brain cells that it can't possibly be what he believes.

DeleteI still can't wrap my mind around what Hope and Carter are thinking and my answer still stays that they are not. Forresters wouldn't just give away their company, employees would be outraged. And what about the public, their families including the Logans and the rest of the Forresters? And most of all - how is any of this going to make them look better than just admitting what happened and that they are together. Of course, Carter wants the power. It's not just about Hope to him. But how is he envisioning it? He deserves to go to jail.

It wasn't long ago, over the summer, there were walls of rants about Steffy, the hip swinging bitch, from you, and a few others, but that was ok? Nobody can have an opinion about Hope. I know, I'm going to get an ear full but had to say it.
DeleteNo D there weren't walls from me. I'm not the wall type of person. That's BBFan and always has been, on every episode and as a response to many people. I don't have an issue when it's her own post - she can write as much hate and as long as she wants (see below) and I don't even read. But when it's my own opinion that gets it, I simply say "sorry not getting involved, it's too much". No idea why me pointing the obvious out (and generally my comments to others) triggers you so much. Maybe don't read them so that they don't "kill" you.

However given the times Hope tried to seduce him… like in the office when she was in lingerie and he told her it wasn’t okay to act like that etc… he could easily believe she was doing just that. He’s completely wrong, but there is a recent history that lends itself to his assumption.

DeleteThere was a time that Finn gave Hope the benefit of the doubt even when his wife kept telling him to stay away from her. He never did because he felt that Hope was a nice person. Not for one second did Finn believe all the negative things that Steffy had to say about Hope. However, after the first come on by Hope, Finn turned her down and thought that was the end of it. But then, she threw herself on him again and tried to kiss him! After that, I think all of Finn's thoughts about Hope being this nice person with values went out the window, and he started believing his wife. As I said the other day, I can understand why Finn would think that Hope was just coming on to him again. The thought simply did not enter his mind that it could be a mishap given Hope's past behaviour. Hopefully, he will start looking at the situation objectively and realize that maybe it was just a big misunderstanding.
Elle you give Hope the blame that a perfectly logical thought cannot enter Finn's mind, that became clear already. But as you can see, many people don't feel this way. And many people stated it (even before any of us here) that he is plain stupid. I've read no less than 30 comments of even one-time commenters being astonished at his behavior and ability to assess a situation.

I'm not blaming Hope, just stating that I can understand why Finn might have not given any thought to anything else other than Hope was coming on to him again. I used Hope's past behaviour as examples (not to blame her) to justify Finn's perceived stupidity.

DeleteThe Logans (all of them) have been intertwined in the Forrester for many years. They've had relationships with them and contributed to the company in many ways, big and small. I believe this gives them a sense of entitlement to the benefits that are to be gained from FC. The Logans have also managed to take the company from the Forresters once before. Where Hope is concerned, I don't think it's so much a feeling of entitlement but more of revenge. Steffy has been a thorn in her side for way too long and now, Hope wants to give back to her what she has dished out to Hope for so long.

Agreed BBFan. Especially about Hope. She is all in on this plan to take over the company because she is already fired. They can't fire her again. As you said, she has everything to gain. She convinced me today that she really does not care about Carter. Even when Carter told her the ramifications about what they are doing, and how long he has worked at the company and been close with Ridge and the family. He has a lot to lose but Hope doesn't seem to care one bit.

DeleteI remember Brooke had adoption papers drawn up and demanded Thomas hand Douglas over to Hope and Liam to replace the baby they lost! 😡
Then when that failed Hope came up with her plan to seduce a partial adoption out of Thomas so she could be Douglas’s mother and then take him away from his father for her and Liam to raise.
She never thought about how Liam felt or how it would hurt Douglas, etc. She only thought about what she wanted. Same thing happening here. She’s happy to use Carter and if he looses everything? Oh well on to the next person who can get her what she wants!
Oh, for sure BBFan. Hope has acted like this before. I like the character, but she's not without her faults. And her faults can be pretty devious. Even recently, her actions with going after Finn just to get back at Steffy was purposeful. The difference this time is that she could not manipulate Finn but we all know that was her plan.

Ridge always puts his daughter aside for the Logans, Eric forgave Carter for having an affair with his wife. Now these 2 are being ungrateful, imagine that. They shud bring up where just some time ago Carter was ready to cut Hope's line and now he got the Logans pum pum juice and he is total support of her line. I believe Ridge will blindly sign the documents and Steffy is the 1 who will want to read tru the documents before signing, now that she is starting to doubt Carter. Carter will be fired and they will never trust hope again. Katie will stop talking to both Brooke and Hope for keeping the secret from her. Brooke and Ridge will break up for gud because Brooke heard wat Carter and Hope was planning and did not tell him.

I still say Carter and Hope are equally responsible. Today they talked about it, and still plan to go through with it. So much for the good conscience getting through to either one of them. And say their plan works and Carter takes over the company. Is that something he can be proud of? I can see Steffy, Ridge, and Eric releasing a statement to the press. "The new CEO of Forrester Creations is a conniving underhanded rat who stole the company from the family who had run it for decades because he felt disrespected and unappreciated. Please keep this in mind when considering doing business with him". Good luck with developing relationships with other companies. And does he think the Forresters will just go away quietly? Heck no! They will fight to get their company back.

What did she say when she "jumped" on top of him? And consider how different her reaction was this time compared to that kiss at Eric's party. Then she apologized. She didn't deny that it happened. Unfortunately even if Finn does admit that he might have gotten it wrong, it might be too late. The snowball is already rolling down the hill. 😫

@RG that wasn’t Hope’s office, it is the design room that everyone uses. Hope does not have her own office, she’s not important enough.
ReplyDeleteThe point is that the design room is not where Steffy hangs out. She has an office. It didn't makes sense for Finn to leave Steffy's belongings in the design room. If Steffy hadn't walked in, was Finn next move going to be walking into Steffy's office to tell her he put her personal items in the design office? It makes no sense.
