Deleteoh I thought about the race, just I heard the storyline was a black guy supposedly going to take over the company, now look, its never going to happen. When since the black guy reign over the white guy in these films. look at horror movies, the black guy gets killed first, and in lifetime movies, the nosey friend is always the black gal. DeleteRidge is just as stubborn as Steffy. Brooke made it clear that Hope was wearing lingerie for Carter and not for Finn. He just pretends not to hear it. He doesn't think it matters, while that was the reason Steffy fired Hope. All the mess started with this false accusation. He is just as wrong as Steffy.

If she told the truth she would not have been fired and they would not be planning a take over but Hope planned all of this, she purposely never told because she knew Carter would come up with a plan if she bedded him and manipulated him long enough, she learnt from her mamma..lol

DeleteIt's not stubborness at all. Ridge is looking at the fact that Carter and Hope are trying to take the company from him and Steffy and emphatically stated that there are no justifications for why they are doing this, and especially for why his best friend/brother/family is doing this. And he's right. Hope got fired wrongly however, she chose not to tell the truth, and Carter feels as though he should take away the company because he did not get what he wanted. Hope has noone to blame but herself for her current situation and Carter should know better.
DeleteI think originally it was Carters plan to take over because nobody would even consider making the company a luxury brand. Hope getting fired was perfect timing to make his move. I'm sure when busted, he's going to say it was all Hope's idea and he wasn't going to file the papers.

DeleteVery strange choice for an attorney. Justin is father of Marcus, who is the adoptive brother of Carter. So to say they are a family. Why Justin will help Ridge against Carter, no logic in that.

ReplyDeleteRidge is not as good to Brooke as she is to him. After all that loyalty he still goes and defend Steffie. Brooke didnt need to tell Ridge anything, she could have let Carter take over and reinstate her daughters line, but clearly she is more looking out for Ridges legacy. Perhaps she thought if she came to Ridge with this infomation that Hope would be hired back. Hope was right about not wanting them to find out she and Carter was invovled. Ridge cannot see that his own daughter brought all this on. Again, I say when you push good and loyal people up against the wall you wont like the wrath that follows. I use to like Brroke and Ridge together up until now, I just dont see him going hard for her. Men tend to slack off when they have another woman batting her eyes at him and straddling his lap. Taylor is constantly in his aura which will create a distraction for his feelings for Brooke. Its a man thing, easily swayed by a pretty face. Ridge will always put his grown arse whinny children before Brooke. Let the take over happen. Tired of Ridge being led by that little screw face steffie. And Brooke, you are a fool for backing Ridge on this, remember he left you to go marry Taylor without an explanation from you. DeleteRidge has previously always backed Hope because she’s Brooke’s daughter! This is the first time he actually backed her against Brooke or Hope!!!!
Hope created this situation by having a consistently underperforming line and trying to seduce her boss’s husband multiple times!!!! She was openly insubordinate at work too! Then she refused to tell the truth! That is on Hope!
If she told the truth she wouldn’t have been fired! Carter wouldn’t have had any issues at all!
Hope knew Steffy would lose it seeing her laying on top of her husband and instead of just coming clean she chose to tell the truth then lied about telling Steffy.
No one believed her because of her actions!
Hope and Carter are committing a crime because one idea of Carter’s isn’t implemented? He wanted to completely take a very successful family company away from the family and turn it into a huge conglomerate!
The family didn’t want that, they have every right to decide how their company is run!
In the meantime Carter wasn’t doing his actual job!
Until Carter got romantically involved with Hope, he was pushing to CANCEL HFTF!!!
Hope is a spoilt brat and is using Carter for revenge!
Nothing justifies them committing crimes!

DeleteI think everyone involved is to be blamed because this whole situation was handled very badly.
DeleteSteffy had been going after Hope from the minute she realized Hope was attracted to her brother however, she warned Hope many many times and what did Hope do? She still went ahead and got involved with Thomas, who ended up heartbroken. Hope then went after Finn and was again warned by Steffy and what did Hope do? She kissed Finn. So it's not like Steffy's actions weren't warranted.
Despite that, Steffy was wrong for firing Hope and wrong for using HFTF against Hope. As a father and co-CEO, Ridge should have questioned Steffy's motives from the start instead of supporting what he thought was a business decision. And even when Steffy admitted to Carter that it was personal, Ridge should have questioned Steffy about it. That's why I was happy to see Taylor try to bring some perspective to the situation by questioning them about it.
Finally, Carter, Hope and Brooke are all wrong for keeping the secret which could have made a huge difference in the outcome. And Carter and Hope are hella wrong for stooping to illegal means. Ridge is right, in that they had other choices. Find a new job or, as has been stated here, start their own company.
Ridge wasn't being disloyal to Brooke by still supporting Steffy, he was simply stating that nothing that happened before Hope's firing warranted this type of response. However, he did thank Brooke for coming to him and told her how much he appreciated what she did.
As for Taylor, Ridge is the one in a relationship and he therefore needs to set boundaries for himself but he doesn't. He is always happy to have Taylor around, always touching her, hugging her and planning holistic therapy sessions for her, while encouraging her to open up to him. If anything happens between them, it's not entirely Taylor's fault.
BBFan, agreed! Ridge always put Hope before his own children until recently. And I really don't get why people expect Ridge not to support his daughter just because they think she's an evil, hateful b&$#h. She's his daughter! Sure, he can show support by offering guidance to her but even if he doesn't, she's still his daughter and co-CEO so they have to have a united front.
DeleteBased on past conversations he's had with Taylor, Ridge blames himself for turning his back on his family in the past, that's why he tries to be as supportive as possible now. We've seen it with Thomas where Ridge would always choose to see the positives and support that. It's the same with Steffy.
Ridge brought all this on himself. When Steffie stormed in the office saying she fired Hope, Ridge should have told her she had no right to make that decision without consulting with him first as Hope was once his stepdaugher, he helped raised Hope and Hope is still the daughter of the woman he lays in bed with every night, but instead he stood behind Steffie and through Hope out on the very same day. Ridge and Steffie basically through Carter and Hope into each others arms, they both feel like they were wronged and under appreciated. Carter would speak to his friend Ridge and Steffie would butt in. Its your fathers best friend, let Ridge deal with Carter. Ridge is not in love with Taylor, he is single and so is she. I dont see him pursuing her. Taylor just waits around for Ridge and brooke downfall so she can get a little bit of Ridges'distraught cucumber. What a way to live.

Matter of fact, she did more than wait around, she went after Ridge shamelessly, trying to seduce him every opportunity she got even though Ridge was married to and raising a family with Taylor. She plotted, schemed and manipulated and again, was applauded for it. It's why she's so insecure about Taylor now. It was a lot of work to finally get Ridge away from Taylor because Ridge was very deeply in love with and committed to her.
DeleteAs for Steffy firing Hope, as co-CEO, she can make independent decisions regarding a person's position at the company. As long as that person is not on the executive team.
Steffy owns a big chunk of the company therefore she can fire almost anyone she wants without cause. A lot of companies can fire employees at will. Hope should have been gone long ago. We only see her daydreaming and planning seductions rather than new concepts for her failing line. She's not a good employee nor is she a good mother of late.
