I've watched this show from the beginning but I'd sort of forgotten what an ass Ridge was. It didn't stop me from being a fan - I loved him even if he was the worst actor I've ever seen. Terrible, wooden, utterly predictable. Still, he was a guilty pleasure. Sigh.
I never forgot, I always said Ridge was the big jerk of all time, the hatred was focused on Brooke unfairly all the time. Ridge was already cheating with every models, way before he met her. Each time he saw a beautiful woman, he had to have her... But they always showed him as a super guy, a great father, a great husband but he was NONE OF THAT! He was juste a SOB and it was exactly what Stephanie was... Too bad people forgot everything really bad those characters did.
i agree he was the worst actor...years ago a friend of mine went on a blind date w/ him & did not care for him at all...i saw a t.v. show, a series, where 'wives' exchange place w/other wives, go int their homes & into their lives for a week or 2..he was 'something else'! so controlling..never ow his wife could stand him. 'wife swat was the name of the show. anyone else see it?
I saw it, too! Celebrity Wife Swap. That's when I realized that his acting wasn't acting because he was just as bad in reality as he was on B&B. He acted like a perv.
Getting tired of all the preempts, it's usually nothing more n crap the media is trying to shove down your throat as a fear factor or more meaningless things they have to do to try and up their ratings. And so just don't post anything if it is because what is this going to do by showing an old episode????
Antiques, I too am getting so annoyed with them.. I can’t understand why they are always on the same time as b&b.. and it’s always when it’s something good about to happen 😡😡 they should change b&b to a better time slot.. it only goes for half an hour for goodness sakes..

Bill was his illegitimate son, and they had nothing to do with each other until years later.
Karen was Caroline’s twin sister kidnapped at birth who later comes to the show at the behest of Taylor’s ex hubby to pretend to get Ridge to leave Taylor ( which being mad in love with his wife, he didn’t).
So for Bill Sr, when speaking with Ridge, he has one child, Caroline.
Back to where it all began! Lol this very first episode is why I laugh at the whole Brooke Ridge destiny drivel 🤣🤣😂🤣.
Ridge was a playboy from day one. Brooke was literally another notch on his headboard, he discarded her and she wouldn’t go away.
He was a spoiled, pampered trust fund brat. Granted he had to work his way up at Forrester but he was cheeky and to his parents, a bully to his brother and treated women like hors d'oeuvres 🥟🫒🧁🥮🧀🍘🍤 a wee nibble or two, toss them in the rubbish and on to the next three or four 😂 😜.
Ridge was an arrogant twat back in the day for sure. Soooo disrespectful of Eric, but then he knew his father was cheating on his mum.
Poor Thorne was always begging to be part of the family and Eric always favoured Ridge because he was a designer too.
Ron Moss was a dreadful actor, and as PP mentioned, wooden. I never thought he was attractive at all.
I felt sorry for Brooke in the beginning, but it didn’t last long lol. She was a wee gold digger and fell in love with all that lovely 💰🏰💃
Yes it was a lovely trip down memory lane, I just turned to my teens when this started 🤣🤣 I remember this episode clearly.. I actually liked brook in the beggining… I cannot stand Ron moss though.. have never liked him or ridge when he played him.. I like ridge now for the most part, but TK is a much better ridge.. he can portray the arrogance without making you despise him.. and much much better actor.. poor Thorne though.. I always felt sorry for him, because Eric always favoured and still does favour ridge, and Thorne is Eric’s real son.. I have never liked Eric, ever, still don’t.. but nice to watch the first episode after three and a half decades.. now I really feel old!! 🤣🤣
Ohhh saw some pics of Jacqueline MacInnes Woods, Tanner Novelin, Krista Allen and Thorsten Kaye with Bradley Bell in Monte Carlo!!! They are there for 35th Anniversary of B&B. Rumours are they are shooting a romantic Steffy/Finn reunion while on location! We can only hope!
Tanner’s wife gave birth to their wee son 7 weeks early but he’s doing well in NICU!
Looks like we may get Steffy & Finn back sooner than expected wheeee!! Cannae wait!
i was 10 year old then and been watchin the show ever since lol i remember when the tv magazine wrote about a new soap coming up and then watching the first eps i got hooked imediatelly i was in school and ev was talkin about star wars back to the future and the bold and the beautiful lol the show back then was nothing like today no lame no dope no steffie although i am a fan and the storylines were much better the 80s wasnt only the best decade in music and movies but in soaps too
Thanks Bob, so great to see the fashion of the 80s, I wasn't even born when this episode aired, 😂, but was still born in the late 80s, I started watching the show with my late gran in mid 90s, peeping through my fingers for all the 'not so nice' scenes🤣
it was on yesterday somewhere because youtube channels had it on and it was new because sheila was chasing li in the car and somehow li ran over something and her whole car went up in flames and crashed into a lake or some body of water and sheila didn't get hurt she got out smiling
Gosh back in the day they actually did fashion 😍 all so beautiful, Eric is gorgeous silver fox, also Stephanie was way more beautiful than they gave her credit for. Brooke is to me the most stunning woman on this show ❤️
