ReplyDeleteExactly!!! Hope kept telling Thomas how much she loves him on today’s episode and seemed to be reflecting towards the end in the presentation room.
DeleteMy thought is she is going to plead with Thomas to marry her. Thomas will step back after taking the advice from Steffy and thinking for himself, wanting to guard his heart. Truly making sure that Hope is committed to living the rest of her life in a real marriage with Thomas and as a family with the kids. Not until he is convinced by her will he even agree to likely kiss her again.
Just my thoughts. She will need to face off against Brooke to defend Thomas and perhaps that might help.
Starting to really dislike these writers. Can they just leave Thomas & hope alone. can they just live a happy life together. I hardly watch the show that much anymore. I only watch when hope and Thomas are on. They are more entertaining other everyone else. Currently right now. Use to like Steffy but she has become a stuck up bitch. Steff feels she is so entitled. Hope did state from the beginning her feelings and where is currently right now. The only good thing out of this episode is Hope realizing she loves Thomas.
ReplyDeleteI used to like Steffy too but what she said to Liam about Hope was way off. And Liam just sat there and did not even take responsibility for his part in the marriage ending. I wonder if she knows that Liam's feelings for her contributed significantly to the demise of his marriage?
DeleteAnd I for once like Steffy exactly for what she said 🤣 I always will believe that Hope first shoved her marriage and family down the toilet with her actions in Rome. Liam swallowed a lot of her crap and flew across the world to show her support only to see that disgusting thing. If she hadn’t done what she did none of what happened after would have happened. Steffy is right that Hope is not the victim here.

ReplyDeleteShe said it a little too late. Not sure how long it's been in soap land her divorce was finalized. I can understand she mght need a bit more time. Now that Steffy was direct with Liam that her and Finn are fine and Will work through things, Liam will be running to console Hope. If she is stringing Thomas along the Liam and Hope deserve each other.
ReplyDeleteI fully understand Hope. It's as she said. She just got out of a marriage and needs some time to breathe and focus on her life a little. She has also been very open with Thomas about not committing right now and he kept saying that he understood.
DeleteWhere Thomas is concerned, I understand his side as well. He has the girl of his dreams whom he has loved for so long and he wants to be there for her in every way possible. For him, that means marriage. He knew all along that Hope loved him, so it gave him the encouragement to propose again.
Ahhh, this is really messed up.
Now it makes more sense why Steffy is going to get all mad at Hope. What I want do know is why does Thomas have to be so hung up on getting married? It's 2024. There are plenty of people who have long-term committed monogamous relationships without *ever* getting married. Maybe Hope has just decided the institution of marriage is not for her. If so, there's nothing wrong with that, and it shouldn't be a big deal. The only good thing that can come from this is that Thomas will *not* go off the deep end. He'll prove the nay-sayers wrong, by acting like a regular person and not a psycho. This show is so stupid, but it's driving me crazy. I think it's time to take another week off from watching.
ReplyDeleteIf Hope thinks that she doesn't need to be married to be with Thomas I am fine with it. But it always seemed that she didn't say yes to his proposal because she wasn't sure if she really loves him. Now she is sure that she really loves him so saying no to the proposal makes little sense.
DeleteAgreed. In the real world, somebody not feeling ready for marriage when it's been less than a year since their divorce is perfectly reasonable, even if you love the other person. But in the world of B&B, if you love someone, you automatically want to marry them (and usually right away too). That's why this seems contrived and I'm mad at the writers now.
DeleteI don't think Thomas is going to go all crazy again but I do think he is gonna step all the way back from Hope. As he should. Give her some time to experience what a life without Thomas would be like.

DeleteIf the writers want to take the predictable route, that's what they'll do. I'm cautiously optimistic that Elle is onto something. Thomas is going to take a big step back, which will make Hope realize that she really does want to marry him after all. 🤞 But I don't think they're over for good. I don't think the writers would choose to end Thope like this.

DeleteHope has been clear - she wants to focus on her fashion-line and her kids. And she has mentioned a few times that she just got divorced, so she needs more time. I don’t think her opinion will change anytime soon since she told him ‘no’ today. I thought a “yes” was coming for sure. But since she told him ‘no’, it really seems to show how committed she is to staying single right now.
This SL could go all kinds of different ways. Maybe this is what finally causes Hope and Finn to hook up? Or maybe dark Thomas returns and then it’s anybody’s guess what will happen. Or maybe Hope will start chasing Thomas like you ladies think. I’m just happy there will be no wedding bells - at least not now!

DeleteLynn I also don't see Hope suddenly changing her mind like flip switch on something so major as marriage. She wanted to enjoy life with the man quite literally crazy about (only) her and bask in his admiration, work together and all the rest. She never said that she is looking into the future with him and Thomas should respect this.
DeleteI think what Elle said, Thomas taking a step back will change her mind. She's going to want what she can't have, maybe. I also agree with the posts that they could further their relationship, maybe move in together see how that goes before the I do's. You never know, maybe someone new comes along and catches Thomas's eye. Lol that means we need some new characters.
DeleteIn B&B's world people fall in love every 2 days and each men in this show proposed at least 15 times... This is not love, they don't show us what love is but what possession is. Love is enough, marriage is not an obligation. And for Steffy, like father like daughter...

ReplyDeleteHope cannot just rebound on Thomas... Love him or dont love him . Maybe Thomas should let the idea of marriage go for now. I mean she was'nt dishonest . She just got devorced like ..yesterday. Liam is just scum and always have been. Steffy needs to follow Brooke and Taylor 's lead and accept that you can let a man hurt you and others for as long as you let them. Nice and al that she found Finn. I guess she forgot all the hurt Liam put her trough when she was on the other side of the coin. Telling people what they should and should not do when she knows that when Finn leaves her she wil be just as desperate for love as hope. Brooke is flying high on her marriage with Ridge because he is old enough now to realize what playing with women can do to them and their kids. The whole Logan ,spencer, Forrester triangle is no where near that point of realization.What a hypocritical BS today on this episode today
ReplyDeleteThomas should be grateful! Hope saying she loves him is a big deal and much better than saying yes without saying she loves him. The natural progression is to feel it, then say it and then say yes to get married. Why is he rushing? He's screwing it up for himself.

Milla, well she finally said the words. And I threw up a bit in my mouth when she did. But exactly the opposite happened of what I had expected. THANK GOODNESS SHE SAID NO!!! Now he’s gonna be disillusioned and this is about to get interesting. At least she stood her ground on what she believed - it’s simply TOO SOON! She told him 20 times already that she wasn’t ready. This is on Thomas. Yay!!!! NO MARRIAGE! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I don't understand what's the insistence on Hope saying she loves Thomas before or after marriage. Liam told Hope he loved her and was in love with her but it still didn't stop him from running to Steffy whenever he had the chance. Matter of fact, seeing Hope kissing Thomas in Rome convinced him that he made the biggest mistake of his life in leaving Steffy to run to Hope. Saying "I love you" means zilch.
DeleteI didn't like what Steffy said about Hope to Liam but she does make a good point about Thomas stepping back and planning for a future without Hope. He does need to break the cycle that he and Hope are currently in.
I agree that saying "I love you" doesn't guarantee a happily ever after. But, why would you marry someone that has never told you that they loved you?

Ahahah!!! She actually said "no"! Interesting... they are doing great as a team/couple despite their very heavy and desastrous history , and i think the writer are setting them up to be the next Ridge and Brooks for the new generation and i'm all for it, but they can't let them settle down just now. They need to create more drama around them for the long run. I think that's why they are opening doors like with Finn, to build up a consistant rivalery between Thomas and Finn and even Liam and To maintain the rivalery between Hope and Steffi. It's make more possibilities for futur storylines.
ReplyDeleteFor now, let's see how Thomas reacts because may be the writer are doing all this to redeem Thomas for good to the public eyes. Now that he feels rejected and vulnerable he has every reasons to reconcile with his old devilish self but i'm sure he won't, they won't let him because it's actually their best chance to make him beleavable as a "changed man".

DeleteThey went through the trouble of bringing back Xander just to clear Thomas as Emma's killer. I don't think they will turn the character back to his evil ways either.
And i agree with you when you say he will probably make a step back from hope, he'd better, to balance their relationship a little bit. Hope may love him but he loves her a way more than she does currently and it needs to change! He needs to shift his focus elsewhere for her to figure out that Thomas's love and comitment are not to be taken for granted.

Hope wants all the benefits of a marriage (family, commitment, loyalty, faithfulness etc.) but she does not want an actual one. Something is not adding up here.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Li already knows. She never gave Finn or anyone a good reason for why she despises her sister. So it might be that Li knows that Jack is Luna's father. It would also explain why she seems to resent Luna and wants her gone.

DeleteIf Hope and Thomas were happy, why do they have to get married, or even engaged right now? Just enjoy the way things are. He should have given her more time. They haven't really "dated". Like going out to dinner, a movie, or a concert. How about going away together for the weekend. Normal stuff like posting on social media that you are a couple. Have we ever seen Hope, Thomas, Douglas, and Beth all together? I guess I'm thinking like a regular person, not a daytime drama character where things are often rushed.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it would be nice to see some family scenes of Hope and Thomas with the kids. I would guess they don't have the the kids on a lot because of budget issues. Plus it's complicated to film with minors, and I feel like the B&B producers are essentially lazy.

DeleteI don't think Douglas even knows Hope and Thomas are a thing. At least it was never mentioned. They (Hope) wanted to keep it a secret from everyone in the beginning.
DeleteHope has been honest with Thomas from the beginning and has told him over and over that she is not ready for marriage. Thomas only hears what he wants to hear and keeps pressuring her. Thomas conveniently left out the part where Hope was going to give the ring back and he refused to take it back and put it on her necklace and put it around her neck and told her to wear it close to her heart. Steffy is acting high and mighty when she was the one that gave Hope the ultimatum of hiring Thomas back. Steffy and Taylor laughed about how it would affect Hope's marriage and Steffy make the comment of how Hope had to hire Thomas back. If Steffy thought that Thomas could be led down the primrose path so easily, then Thomas was not well enough to come back and work with the object of his obsession, Hope.

DeleteI tend to agree with pretty much everything you said. But I do think Hope has been having her cake and eating it too. While she has been honest with Thomas, I think she was also being selfish since she knew how anxious Thomas was to get married. She needed to spell out her timeline a little more clearly for him.
I’m ecstatic they aren’t getting married - at least not anytime soon. But part of me feels a little sorry for Thomas because Hope was acting selfishly.

DeleteHe laid his heart out for Hope and she definitely walked on it a bit. She was kind of acting like a guy - acting lustful but not really wanting to seal the deal with a lifelong commitment. At least you guys got your “I love you, Thomas” out of the deal. I’m thinking the reason she didn’t say it earlier was perhaps she knew if she said it, he wouldn’t take no for an answer on the proposal. And she knew she wasn’t ready for marriage.
Lynn I agree with you. She said it now finally as a consolation prize (not saying she doesn't feel it). Wondering how long she would have held on to that chip if he wasn't pressing for an answer.
DeleteJoy, Hope did not have to wear the ring around her neck if she did not want to. She wore it with pride, even throwing it in Brooke's face. For Valentine's day, she even told Thomas that she has been thinking about the ring around her neck a lot. So let's not act like Thomas put a gun to Hope's head. Hope has a mind of her own.
DeleteAs for Steffy, there was no ultimatum. There was a choice for Hope to consider. Either hire Thomas back to save HFTF or put HFTF on the back burner for a bit until they can find a designer. Hope did not want to put HFTF on the shelf so she chose to take Thomas back. She didn't have to.
Thomas is being too impatient.. Hope has been honest and upfront the entire time they have been together.. She has told Thomas her marriage has not long been over and she is not ready to make that commitment as yet.. He put the ring around her neck and told her when “she was ready” she would put the ring on.. I am a Thope fan, but Thomas is being too pushy about marriage.. Hope has told him she loves him, and that is great first step.. As for Steffy, (just like Brooke) I get where she is coming from, Hope wearing the ring around her neck, giving Thomas hope, only to turn him down, and everyone , not just Steffy, thought Hope was just leading Thomas on and using him, even I have said that in the past, and it did seem that way, due to her obsession over being the only one, and reluctance to tell him she loves him.. But having said that, it’s clear she does love him, but it’s too soon for her to commit to marriage, and that’s fair enough.. He said he would be patient and wait till she was ready, so he should do what he said he would, instead of pressuring her the way he is.. Going back to Steffy, I didn’t like some of things she said about Hope, and she should understand how soon it is after the breakup of Hopes marriage, and in my opinion, I would be more concerned if Hope just jumped into a marriage with him straight after her breakup with Liam, because to me, that would have been a rebound response, and Hope has been careful to ensure that’s not what this is with Thomas.. She now has those feelings of love that have developed, and Thomas needs to be more patient and understanding.. if he wants the future he wants, and he himself has said he has waited all this , then he can wait a bit longer..!!

DeleteColly, good summation. I would have thought that Hope actually telling him she loved him today would have made him very happy. And it would tide him over for a bit. But he didn’t even seem to acknowledge it. I think because in his mind he was already convinced that she did love him. Thomas wants what he wants. And Hope held her ground. It’s better that she didn’t reluctantly agree to marriage when she isn’t ready. I can see the old Hope doing just that.
