Not a fan of Hope and sometimes like Steffy (not now) but Hope needs to stand up for herself... and shut up Ridge!!! Hope has told Thomas that she's not ready .. she shouldn't got with him in the first place
ReplyDeleteI think Ridge was onto something, and I applaud him. He's the only one that senses that there is something more to Hope saying no.

DeleteWe found out today that it’s only been a few months since Hope’s divorce from Liam. That is way too soon to be getting remarried. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with Hope saying she isn’t ready.
ReplyDeleteI loved how Brooke called Steffy out and said what Steffy is doing is because of her vendetta against Hope. Yep, that’s exactly what this is about! I also noticed that Hope didn’t answer Ridge when he asked her if there was something she couldn’t get over ….something that Thomas did that she just couldn’t forgive. I’m glad they put that out there.
Thomas is going to leave and Hope won’t stop him. She knows she isn’t ready for marriage, and Thomas threatening to leave won’t change that.
Lynn as usual spot on. Even for me Steffy was too much today both basically calling Thomas pathetic (where is your dignity?) 😅and the way she spoke to Hope. Who the hell is she?
DeleteAnd omg yes when Ridge asked if there is something Hope can't forgive and she didn't answer... Also glad they put that out there.
And finally yes, the fact that not even leaving (with Douglas?) would be enough to change anything. She won't say yes or run to Paris. She'll stay, sulk for a little and then hopefully reevaluate her life.

I loved Ridge today. He asked some really pertinent questions.
DeleteElle agreed, he wasn’t telling Hope or Thomas what to do, he just pointed some things out to Hope and asked her some very valid questions… Lynn in regards to the time frame, in soapland, 3 months equals about a year 🤣🤣🤣 they fall in and out of love in a matter of days on this show!! Or even get remarried and divorced within a week, much of the time.. In reality, yes, but soapland mentality seems very different.. but in saying that, the fact is Hope wasn’t ready, she told Thomas to give her time and she would put the ring on her finger when she was ready.. He should have been more patient, or at least asked her where she felt she was at in regards to marriage, and also explained what he said to steffy that engaged doesn’t mean married the same day.. there’s clearly a lack of communication between them , despite what they think!!

DeleteAs far as what Thomas said to Steffy, yes you are correct that he said that accepting the proposal didn’t have to mean they would get married immediately. But in that same breath he told Steffy he would marry Hope tomorrow. Unfortunately for Thomas, the latter sentiment is the vibe he gives off.
I think in Thomas’ mind the signals from Hope were clear. And I’ll give him that. Hope was acting very committed and happy. Hope should have had that conversation with Thomas like you and others have pointed out. So in that regard she did appear to be leading him on by not being completely upfront with her “timeline” 🤣🤣🤣 that word you disliked so much when Brooke said it.
As far as Ridge’s words making Hope realize something…..I think you may be correct. But I think Ridge’s words will make her realize she can never reciprocate Thomas’ love the way he loves her. I don’t see it going the other way.
We could place a bet…..no peaches and cream for a week vs me singing Steffy’s praises every day for a week. Lol. Good times!!! 😬😬😬😬 I’m kidding, no bets……we’ll just have our hunches on how this will all play out.
I think the tables might turn and we would see Hope as the one pursuing Thomas. I mean, she was the one that started this whole thing anyway. Daydreaming about him. Flirting with him at the office, then kissing him in Rome. And it seems her desire for him has only grown! So who knows? Maybe some of what Ridge said just might have her thinking.

DeleteEven if Thomas meets other women, his heart will always belong with Hope. They have been through too much together and their relationship has evolved to where they are now both at the same place. They won't be able to forget each other so easily.

DeleteHe is a good actor, Milla….no doubt. And I will admit he can be pretty charming. The show is better with Thomas in it, as long as he isn’t bedding Hope.

DeleteLol. Elle. I wouldn’t call it crushing. I have felt sorry for Thomas for a while now. I don’t forget his past, so I will never accept him being with Hope, but he has seemed like a sympathetic character lately.
DeleteAs far as it being explosive when Thomas returns, I don’t see that happening. I think lots and lots of things are going to happen while he’s away. Maybe even a Hope / Finn affair. And nothing will kill the Thomas flame like Hope sleeping with Finn. That is still a TBD SL. So we will all just have to wait and see.

DeleteI really cannot buy into this Hope/Finn potential love affair. They have made such a BIG deal about Hope wanting to feel loved by a man who has eyes only for her. Why would they then put her with yet another man who loves Steffy?
Oh I don’t think any Finn hookup would be something really long term for Hope. I’m definitely not saying that. I just mean it could go that way only because Liam is all alone these days. We will just have to wait and see. This new twist to all things Hope and Thomas opens the door to sooooooo many potential SL’s. We just have no idea what’s coming next. My crystal ball isn’t any clearer than yours. You and I just hope for different outcomes to Thomas leaving.
DeleteI read that they might be bringing back Ivy. She and Liam were a thing back in the day and he left her to be with Steffy. Now that Steffy in unavailable, Liam might not be lonely for much longer. This means that Steffy and Finn should be okay for now. That is until Sheila returns. Lol.

DeleteI don't understand how "I'm not ready to get married" = "I don't love you. I don't want to be with you. We should end the whole thing". They were happy, and things were fine the day before Thomas proposed. Hope didn't do anything that would make a person end the relationship. Why can't they just go back to how happy they were a week ago? Do either of them feel happy now?

Hope, with all the pillow talk between you and Thomas I'm surprised that nothing was mentioned about you not being ready for marriage proposal. This should have been top of both your agendas.
