I don't think Carter is confused about Paris. I suspect Carter is bored with Bratz doll Paris and realizes that the risks of the relationship are greater than the possible rewards. He does not feel the passion for Paris like he did with Quinn. Paris was a rebound relationship that he has mostly resisted.

Colly, here is my analogy : Sheila was thinking of herself as the quarterback who would throw a final Hail Mary pass hoping this would be the thing that clenched her role in Finn’s family. But no one caught the ball in the end zone. She realized her plan backfired and Steffy was more dug in than ever to never ever let Sheila anywhere near the family.
I do agree with you Lynn, I think it was inevitable that Sheila was going to do something to steffy because of steffy’s persistence that Sheila would never have a place in their lives.. she said to deacon just before the shooting, that she will never have a relationship with her son while steffy is around.. it was coming at some stage..
but I do believe the pinnacle was that steffy was about to expose Sheila for what she did to brook and Sheila could not convince steffy to keep quiet about it.. then steffy compounded the situation when she said that everyone was going to know what Sheila did, then the last straw was when she said she would have no place in their lives because this would prove to Finn she hasn’t changed.. Sheila threw steffy up against the dumpster because steffy wouldn’t go along with Sheila’s plan.. then it was after that steffy started on about not letting her see Finn and Hayes.. Sheila already got violent before she shot her.. saying she can’t b apart of their lives was just the last straw that tipped over the edge..
I think your analogy is correct, but I think there r multiple reasons that happened simultaneously that caused Sheila to shoot.. there was no single reason.. that is how I saw it go down..
Also, u might recall that Sheila vowed to destroy brooks life for trying to come between her and Finn, and in the ally, when steffy defended brook and took her side against Sheila, Sheila said “the losing”, which was just before she went to pull out the gun.. I took that to mean that in Sheila’s mind, anyone who sided with brook , Sheila will destroy them as well… that’s how it came across to me, and after Sheila said that, steffy started about her not having a place in their lives or a relationship with Finn and Hayes..
Colly, OK I can see your side of things too. I will say though, that I think Brooke was just as sincere about her defense of Steffy’s family with regard to Brooke’s comment to Sheila to stay away, as Steffy was when she said to Sheila, “Brooke is right!” At both Brooke’s and Steffy’s core, they are NOT each other’s biggest fan. But to agree with the other person / defend them in the moment to Sheila was a two way win. One…they appeared to be defending the other, but also it benefitted each of them to do so because the common enemy in all this is Sheila. So it’s easy for Brooke and Steffy to unite on that front for sure.
Yes Lynn, I do agree with you on that one.. I think everyone is united when it comes to Sheila.. I think both brook and steffy were genuine in protecting each other against Sheila.. Here’s the thing with the theory Finn is still alive… Even if he is, the majority of the characters on the show are convinced he is dead. So why would Steffy and the Forrester's being planning a service ??? Even if Li and Jack know otherwise, that doesn’t explain Steffy not planning a funeral for her husband, because she 100% believes he was killed. Gaps like that in the plot are annoying to me.
I think she does believe he is dead, but in soap land it has only been 3-4 days, since the shooting, and there would be a coroner’s inquest because it was a double shooting and thought to be a robbery, so full autopsy to get as much evidence as possible for future court case.. that’s why Sheila was so desperate to see Finn.. she needed an excuse as to why her dna would be on Finn, in case they found any.. she wanted to cover all bases.. that is why Li would not let her see him one last time.. Dead or alive, Li knows how it all works, and it was obvious Li suspects it was Sheila.. but having said all that, the writers r lazy, we all know that, so if he really is dead, i would be mighty disappointed in the writers if they don’t pay some sort of tribute to him..
But I do think the writers r trying to gauge from viewers how popular he is and have left a door open to bring him back if ratings drop, especially if they go down the road of a steam reunion.. most viewers don’t want that again, so they r being clever in that regard.. TN’s wife is also expecting their second child roughly around the same time as JMW is expected to give birth, so he would want time off with his family at that time as well, so that sorts out both their maternity leaves.. i predicted steffy would b pregnant with his child and he is in a coma, and he comes back when she goes into labour, but it’s a wild guess..
To us, the viewers, it feels like it has been weeks since Finn & Steffy were shot because we have been watching this story slowly unfold for quite some time. In B&B time, it has only been a few days. Steffy just spent her first night at home after about 2 days in the hospital. So, I think it may be a little premature for Steffy to plan a funeral. I would think she would want to include Li & Jack in the arrangements. Another thing to consider is that if it truly is a murder investigation (& I hope not), then the body would probably still be at the coroner's. They would probably want to wait for the body to be released before the funeral.
also Renee, it will be considered a murder because even though Finn stepped in front of steffy and Sheila didn’t mean to kill Finn, as it was meant for steffy, she still shot the gun with intent to kill.. it was not on self defence, she attempted to murder steffy but shot Finn instead.. she will go u for murder and attempted murder with intent to kill.. something like that??

I think that Steffi has no rights legally to claim Finn's body nor can she bury him as they were not officially married? Just thought I would point that out. As that is how it would be here Australia.
After autopsy Finn's body will be handed back to the person who claimed it, which is Li. And therefore I assume she has all rights to burial. Because Steffi and Finn were not legally married she cannot claim those rights.
Aussie Deb, They might have filed their marriage certificate and just didn’t show it, but even if they didn’t, I can’t imagine that Jack and Li would not include steffy in the arrangements, that is , if she wanted to??
Agree - Deacon is probably my favorite character on the show these days. I didn’t like Zoe and I don’t like Paris either. Nothing at all against the black women on the show, but those 2 in my mind were both misses in casting. I like Carter, but I could use less of the objectifying of his abs. Although the writers have scaled back on the shirtless Carter as of recently. Deacon needs more air time. He is funny and pretty dang hot!
With regards to the sticky situation between Eric & Donna, we, the viewers, are missing information. How did we get from Quinn pinning Donna against the desk with a chair at Forrester Creations & Eric firing Donna to Eric & Donna frolicking on honey covered sheets? 🍯🐻 Seriously, inquiring minds want to know. Did Donna get her job back? Because, I just don't see how she could main her lifestyle on babysitting wages. Typically, Donna would never be able to keep this sweet news from her sisters, yet this seems to be the best kept secret in town.
