I’m sure tomorrow’s episode will reveal additional thoughts Liam is having in the moment. Admittedly, it did look bad!!

@D You're right. Since last year, Hope has been giving Thomas "the look" and her body language also said a lot. It's no wonder Thomas tried to kiss her. And she let him move in for the kiss before she stopped it. But we will see where this all leads. I said before that this whole Thomas/Hope business is not going to lead to him messing up again and Hope kicking him out of HFTF. I noticed Brooke mentioned that to Hope today as well. That if Thomas messes up even once, that's it for him. Some more foreshadowing of what might possibly be coming up next.

Also mentioned back then Liam is the obsessive one, not Thomas and Liam is going to push Hope right into his arms. One more comment before I turn in...why's this blog considered your either LF or a FF ... to me it all depends on the situation at the time, if I don't approve of a Forester or a Logan I will say something. D, have you considered that Liam is simply trying to protect his family? That doesn’t make his behavior obsessive, just very protective of his wife, who he loves dearly. And as mentioned, Liam’s reservations about Thomas are more than justified. You started watching the show pretty recently compared to most viewers, so you haven’t witnessed all the Thomas horrors. I haven’t even witnessed all of what Thomas has done because I’ve only been watching for about 5 years now. Liam definitely has a right to keep a vigilant eye on Thomas.
Lynn that is true, Liam is trying to protect his family and the love of his life. It's just that they are showing him talk to his brother and dad only about this and obsessing... Good that he decided to spring (or clap) into action and go see himself. And you're right, Hope is not secretly in love with Thomas, she's "only" rejected him her whole life! Sometimes I get fooled by those tricks of the writers too easily (like in this case her peek). All there could be is a silly misunderstanding like this fall. Even when she was much younger, Thomas got Hope around himself only when there was a misunderstanding with Liam. I do sense some moments in which I think her ego is showing - like when she ever so coyly was going on about his feelings for her... This was inappropriate. But I think that's all there is.
Milla, the show lacks depth for sure. We hear the same repeat dialogue pretty much daily from all the characters about the same ol’ story lines till we (the viewers) have memorized the lines ourselves. 😂😂😂 How many times did Finn and Steffy discuss Sheila…as an example. The show is so repetitive and there’s filler galore. It’s a miracle more of us haven’t tuned out. Lol.
Oh that's so true 🙈 I'll never know how the actors go for it - I'd freak if I have to repeat the same so much. And also the same tricks - Thomas does sth bad, Hope says "I'm done, that's it", then somehow she sees "he's changed", she starts acting like this around him, he makes a move, she rejects him, he does sth worse, she "finally sees him for who he is" and is "done" again and then he convinces her and they start the whole shebang again...

Brooke is so amazing ❤️ she has shown such self-awareness and growth, bravely listing all her missteps. Nobody is or ever will be as interesting, complicated and surprising as Brooke ☺️
Wyatt is still so traumatized imagining Bill and Sheila 😂🙈 I want a Wyatt storyline!! He's way too focused on his brother and dad and deserves so much more. What was his last line that ended with "my day"?

The writers are messing us about again with all these lingering looks and expressions from Hope. It was almost like she was feeling a wee bit guilty when Brooke was praising her for not liking the bad lads.
Brooke has shown a lot of growth and for sure Hope is showing far more maturity these days than Liam. He does seem obsessed with Thomas and it will cause issues with Hope.

Well, really Ridge has no reason to stay made at Thomas. He was always the womanizer and went through them like crazy and even when he had Brooke they both manipulated one another and cheated.bjust sick of all that tangled up mess. Thomas is better looking than Liam anyway and not such a wuss. And correct me if I'm wrong, which. Not! Lol but the only reason Liam is so afraid of Thomas because he knows he knows he did his sister when he was married to Hope, maybe Hope thinks two wrongs might make it right. 🤷🤦
There were so many warning signs today of a possible Thomas/Hope pairing. First, Liam telling Wyatt that he trusts Hope completely. Then, that whole "bad boy" conversation between Brooke and Hope. Also, Ridge bringing up Hope while talking to Thomas and, of course, Hope peeking at Thomas before she tried on the dress.
I believe that if anything does happen between them, it will be because Hope has developed real feelings for Thomas.
Is it wrong that I think they would be a good pair? I always thought Liam treated Hope like a child in some ways or “don’t worry your pretty wee head about it” . There are so many times he has treated Hope like he has no confidence in her ability or think or make decisions.
You are not wrong, BBFan. And if that clap today (bad Hope 😂) didn't prove that he treats her like a child, nothing else would.
There has been a build up of sexual tension between Thomas and Hope for so long that when it finally happens, it will be explosive. The actors compliment each other onscreen quite naturally. Nothing seems forced between them. And I truly believe that Hope started developing feelings for Thomas since last year but she fought it. If Liam does not give up his obsession with Thomas, Hope just might give in to what she's feeling.
She loves her husband. Liam is her husband and she adores him. Don’t forget how things turned out on Eric’s couch after the attempted kiss by Thomas after the fashion show. Hope is a good girl.
Hope is a good girl but even good girls have thoughts they should not be having at times. Even good girls do things they should not be doing at times. Hope allowed Thomas to move in for the kiss even if she did stop the actual kiss. They sat their looking at each other for a while. I am sure Hope knew what was going through Thomas' mind yet, she allowed him to move in close to her.
Elle that's ego, not feelings. I think she enjoys his attention the same way the cheerleader enjoys the attention of the boy writing her homework. But she won't break up her marriage over it.
We'll see. I have no idea where this storyline is headed but what I will say is that Thomas and Hope have been intertwined with each other for so long that it would be a miracle that Hope has not developed some feelings. She clearly has a soft spot for him and I think it's because he has proven to her that she is the only woman who has his heart. Sure, he's had his problems but if he is genuinely seeking to become a better man and a better father, I don't see how Hope would not find that attractive. If her ego is allowing her to bring Thomas into her personal space, that says something because no woman who is fully committed to her husband and marriage will even allow Thomas to be that close to her, far less close in for a kiss.
I think Hope's show of commitment to her marriage is more about her values and doing the right thing than it is about her true feelings for bad boy Thomas. 😁
If Hope had any real feelings for Thomas she’s had more than ample time and opportunities to explore them. She’s been separated from Liam, she even tried being married to Thomas but couldn’t even bring herself to kiss him. On a deeper level she’s turned off by him and that’s been solidified for years. On an ego level she loves the fact she’s the only one for him. Knowing this itself doesn’t cause feelings let alone deep ones. And that’s even before getting to the part of all the trauma that her mind and body associate with Thomas. Nothing real can come out of that. All he can hope for is an accident or misunderstanding to bring them for a minute together before she again realizes how turned off she is. It’s like hoping to grow on toxic wasteland - something may come out by accident but it will not last.

This is why he cannot understand why she keeps letting Thomas back in. She should be traumatized, but she's not. And I believe it's because of the fact that she has the gift of "forgetting" when she forgives. Liam is the only one that keeps bringing up the things that Thomas has done in the past and so, it keeps the trauma alive for him. Hope does not do that. This is why she can easily fall for Thomas if she is convinced that he is a changed man and fall out of love with Liam if he keeps bad-mouthing Thomas.
BTW, I don't think Hope is "turned off" by Thomas. Once upon a time, yes she was, but not anymore. She acts more like she's turned on by him. Those seductive looks that she gives him, or stopping to give him a prolonged look before changing. She did it last year too. She was leaving the office and stopped by the door and gave him a prolonged look. Yeah she sure seems to be really turned off by Thomas.
Well M, all I can say is that you have a lot of faith in Hope. More so than her own husband who realizes that there has to be a reason that Hope keeps letting Thomas back in.
@Elle, I agree Thomas should be doing fittings and alterations on a model, or a mannequin. Just one that doesn't look like Hope. Some people have said today's episode was boring. I disagree. I enjoyed it. Every episode doesn't have to be an OMG nail bitter. Thomas really needs to go out on some dates. Even if he has to fake it at first. It would help him to really start to get over Hope. And he might actually find someone. Just NOT Paris!

He was always the womanizer and went through them like crazy and even when he had Brooke they both manipulated one another and cheated.bjust sick of all that tangled up mess. Thomas is better looking than Liam anyway and not such a wuss. And correct me if I'm wrong, which. Not! Lol but the only reason Liam is so afraid of Thomas because he knows he knows he did his sister when he was married to Hope, maybe Hope thinks two wrongs might make it right. 🤷🤦
ReplyDeleteThere were so many warning signs today of a possible Thomas/Hope pairing. First, Liam telling Wyatt that he trusts Hope completely. Then, that whole "bad boy" conversation between Brooke and Hope. Also, Ridge bringing up Hope while talking to Thomas and, of course, Hope peeking at Thomas before she tried on the dress.

Is it wrong that I think they would be a good pair? I always thought Liam treated Hope like a child in some ways or “don’t worry your pretty wee head about it” . There are so many times he has treated Hope like he has no confidence in her ability or think or make decisions.

DeleteThere has been a build up of sexual tension between Thomas and Hope for so long that when it finally happens, it will be explosive. The actors compliment each other onscreen quite naturally. Nothing seems forced between them. And I truly believe that Hope started developing feelings for Thomas since last year but she fought it. If Liam does not give up his obsession with Thomas, Hope just might give in to what she's feeling.
Na, Hope loves her family. That doesn’t change. She and Thomas will not become a thing.

DeleteHope is a good girl but even good girls have thoughts they should not be having at times. Even good girls do things they should not be doing at times. Hope allowed Thomas to move in for the kiss even if she did stop the actual kiss. They sat their looking at each other for a while. I am sure Hope knew what was going through Thomas' mind yet, she allowed him to move in close to her.

I have no idea where this storyline is headed but what I will say is that Thomas and Hope have been intertwined with each other for so long that it would be a miracle that Hope has not developed some feelings. She clearly has a soft spot for him and I think it's because he has proven to her that she is the only woman who has his heart. Sure, he's had his problems but if he is genuinely seeking to become a better man and a better father, I don't see how Hope would not find that attractive. If her ego is allowing her to bring Thomas into her personal space, that says something because no woman who is fully committed to her husband and marriage will even allow Thomas to be that close to her, far less close in for a kiss.

DeleteIf Hope had any real feelings for Thomas she’s had more than ample time and opportunities to explore them. She’s been separated from Liam, she even tried being married to Thomas but couldn’t even bring herself to kiss him. On a deeper level she’s turned off by him and that’s been solidified for years. On an ego level she loves the fact she’s the only one for him. Knowing this itself doesn’t cause feelings let alone deep ones. And that’s even before getting to the part of all the trauma that her mind and body associate with Thomas. Nothing real can come out of that. All he can hope for is an accident or misunderstanding to bring them for a minute together before she again realizes how turned off she is. It’s like hoping to grow on toxic wasteland - something may come out by accident but it will not last.
"... the trauma that her mind and body associate with Thomas" is not at all evident in the way Hope interacts with him. I think Liam is more traumatized by the things Thomas has done that Hope is. This is why he cannot understand why she keeps letting Thomas back in. She should be traumatized, but she's not. And I believe it's because of the fact that she has the gift of "forgetting" when she forgives. Liam is the only one that keeps bringing up the things that Thomas has done in the past and so, it keeps the trauma alive for him. Hope does not do that. This is why she can easily fall for Thomas if she is convinced that he is a changed man and fall out of love with Liam if he keeps bad-mouthing Thomas.
DeleteBTW, I don't think Hope is "turned off" by Thomas. Once upon a time, yes she was, but not anymore. She acts more like she's turned on by him. Those seductive looks that she gives him, or stopping to give him a prolonged look before changing. She did it last year too. She was leaving the office and stopped by the door and gave him a prolonged look. Yeah she sure seems to be really turned off by Thomas.

Delete@Elle, I agree Thomas should be doing fittings and alterations on a model, or a mannequin. Just one that doesn't look like Hope. Some people have said today's episode was boring. I disagree. I enjoyed it. Every episode doesn't have to be an OMG nail bitter. Thomas really needs to go out on some dates. Even if he has to fake it at first. It would help him to really start to get over Hope. And he might actually find someone. Just NOT Paris!

DeleteI hope he starts dating @Forever 36. You're right. It's the only way he will move on. He told Ridge today that he no longer has feelings for Hope. Unless he was talking about obsessive feelings, I don't believe he has gotten over her. Here's where dating will definitely help.
