Also, the fact that Thomas is thinking that way shows that he has not gone back to his psychotic or obsessive behaviour. He is not thinking about what he wants, he is thinking about what Hope wants (which is Liam) and so, he is trying to respect her. If the kiss was real though, that has to be confusing for both of them.

His having the odd fantasy about kissing Hope isn’t psychotic. We have all had crushes or fantasies about someone at least once in our lives. It doesn’t mean one has to act in it. The fact that Thomas reminds himself she’s married and not his to dream about is actually a sign of good mental health.

@BBfan I agree with you regarding Thomas. Him acknowledging that Hope is married and he cannot fantasize about her anymore does not prove that he has regressed mentally. It shows that he is thinking practically and he's not obsessed. At least not yet. My fear is that him constantly having to check himself is going to lead to him eventually losing it and becoming obsessed again if he continues to fantasize about Hope. I really hope he doesn't go down that road again.

Every time I’ve seen her cry over the Ridge mess it looked like tears were coming down both sides. If she’s got a secret trick for crying from one eye, then good for her, she has skills. They always go on and on about how she only cries with one eye. So I was sure to point out she has been crying with both eyes the past few days so they’d have one less thing to whine about. I try to be as objective as possible and don't go around bashing Brooke just for bashing sake. If she does something that I feel is really not right, I will take to her but generally, I just comment.
We also see things from different perspectives based on who we like so, for instance, you would see Brooke as a victim in this current saga since Ridge left her for Taylor however, I won't see her as a victim because of her behaviour involving the Thomas/Douglas custody storyline. For me, she got involved in things that were not her business. The fallout from that is simply the consequences of her actions.
@ Elle, I have mentioned “overkill” on many of my comments in the past. And I absolutely think that applies here. So you think Brooke butting her nose into the Douglas thing should result in the dissolution of Brooke’s marriage to Ridge? I definitely don’t see that as a reasonable result. I'm sure they are easy to find in LA. And secrets are not good for an addict. Side thought. Does Liam have a job? I don't really see him going to work every day. Well, at least we were spared Dr Giggles & eunuch -waffler - Ridge--I'm not an alcoholic but I woke up in a room above the bar I got drunk at once. Another time I was shanghaied to Vegas to get married even though I was already married! The vows were HILARIOUS! When Shauna's equally crooked friend asked Ridge to say his vows Ridge was so drunk he thought the guy said "vowels" & tried to buy one to solve the puzzle! LMAO! As I've said before--Dr Giggles should hook up w Dr Giggles from that horror film! He wasn't a Dr & she should have her license revoked at the very least! WHO would go to a Dr who is nuttier than her patients--violates just about every rule there is for psychiatrists & psychologists? It amazes me the B&B writers get away w this bs writing! Her "treating" her own son was my limit! NO Dr is allowed to do that! I've seen & heard of DRS who were sued for malpractice but B&B writers write Giggles character as if she were "special needs!"-consult w REAL DRS & quit writing bs! This is from an actual Dr of psychology w a PHD!

Bbfan, both Hope and Liam are now keeping secrets from each other. Liam even brought up Thomas being at the office with her and she brushed it off. What has me totally surprised though was Brooke asking Liam to keep her secret. Hope is usually the one Brooke would confide in then she would tell Liam and both of them would be there for Brooke. Her alcohol struggle is now a Liam and Brooke secret.

@BBfan I agree with you regarding Thomas. Him acknowledging that Hope is married and he cannot fantasize about her anymore does not prove that he has regressed mentally. It shows that he is thinking practically and he's not obsessed. At least not yet. My fear is that him constantly having to check himself is going to lead to him eventually losing it and becoming obsessed again if he continues to fantasize about Hope. I really hope he doesn't go down that road again.

Did he actually cheat with Ivy? I remember he married her to prevent her from being deported which resulted in him and Steffy having a huge fight about it. Milla he was a head writer; however his father controlled the direction of the story arcs, characters etc. Big difference from now when Bell Jr has free reign. The quality of the show has been in steady decline. We’re down a hand full of sets. Two offices in Forrester that everyone apparently uses now.

But on a serious note, BBfan, Colly and I have been on this blog when there were just a few of us here. I guess that's why we defend each other. There were never posters attacking other posters back then so, speaking for myself, I feel protective of them since we have been here for so long. It is what it is, I guess.
Fair enough. And glad you finally made your way into a “clique” even if it’s not high school where they were actually perceived as being cool. However, please be aware that when I am referred to as a bully and a disrupter, I just laugh. Because you ladies show the true bullying traits. I will fully admit that I am NOT shy about my opinions or afraid to express them, no matter the circumstances. But that does not make me a bully. And I never seek out backup posters to come to my rescue. Never!

DeleteI try to be as objective as possible and don't go around bashing Brooke just for bashing sake. If she does something that I feel is really not right, I will take to her but generally, I just comment.
DeleteWe also see things from different perspectives based on who we like so, for instance, you would see Brooke as a victim in this current saga since Ridge left her for Taylor however, I won't see her as a victim because of her behaviour involving the Thomas/Douglas custody storyline. For me, she got involved in things that were not her business. The fallout from that is simply the consequences of her actions.

So you think Brooke butting her nose into the Douglas thing should result in the dissolution of Brooke’s marriage to Ridge? I definitely don’t see that as a reasonable result. I agree that Liam should not be keeping secrets from his wife. As far as him pouring out the liquor, that's something she should do. It should not have been there in the first place. I know a little bit about substance abuse and addiction. I'm glad she mentioned having a sponsor. That's who she should be contacting. And going to a meeting immediately. I'm sure they are easy to find in LA. And secrets are not good for an addict. Side thought. Does Liam have a job? I don't really see him going to work every day. I know this is a soap, so going to work every day for a paycheck is not very glamorous or exciting. I just thought if he worked fulltime, and spent adequate time with his wife, and daughters, he wouldn't have time to be Brooke's best friend. 🤨

ReplyDeleteWell, at least we were spared Dr Giggles & eunuch -waffler - Ridge--I'm not an alcoholic but I woke up in a room above the bar I got drunk at once. Another time I was shanghaied to Vegas to get married even though I was already married! The vows were HILARIOUS! When Shauna's equally crooked friend asked Ridge to say his vows Ridge was so drunk he thought the guy said "vowels" & tried to buy one to solve the puzzle! LMAO! As I've said before--Dr Giggles should hook up w Dr Giggles from that horror film! He wasn't a Dr & she should have her license revoked at the very least! WHO would go to a Dr who is nuttier than her patients--violates just about every rule there is for psychiatrists & psychologists? It amazes me the B&B writers get away w this bs writing! Her "treating" her own son was my limit! NO Dr is allowed to do that! I've seen & heard of DRS who were sued for malpractice but B&B writers write Giggles character as if she were "special needs!"-consult w REAL DRS & quit writing bs! This is from an actual Dr of psychology w a PHD!
