They are so certain that Thomas wanting to be a bigger part of Douglas' life has to do with Hope. I am sure that Hope feels frustrated about the way they are acting. She's even starting to look over in Thomas' direction. Lol.

He should bring Kelly over to bond with Beth, rather than getting obsessive over where Douglas is living!!
Colly, I agree. I was making the point that Liam should spend time with Kelly. He has no good excuse not to at the moment. In fact, with Steffy in Aspen, it would helpful if he took her to the cabin. But, no, he chooses to spend his time talking to Brooke like a broken record.

Well, I missed yesterday's show but can see I didn't miss much. Stefy still reminding Taylor she loves Ridge, he loves her and they make each other happy. Brooke and Liam still talking about how Thomas is so dangerous, manipulative and not fit to be a Dad. Maybe Friday? We'll find out who made the call. Did the pinecone falling have meaning for Ridge sometime in the history of the show?
@D The pinecone, is a reminder that Steffy mentioned that her and Taylor, went to Aspen. When Ridge said, "What should I do?" that's when the pinecone fell.
And that is a problem why?? It looks like she changed into something more appropriate for a colder climate which I would imagine the mountains would be?? She flew from hot Southern California to a higher elevation and more northern location ( sorry am not good and United States geography).
@I don't get it, I wondered about that too. Why has she had on so many different outfits in one episode? Usually they wear the same thing for a week lol. Also, the beanie hat was not working for Taylor. Is she trying to look like a 16 year old grunge girl?
Aspen is a location shoot. The plane was a set. I imagine Steffy and Taylor would have changed their clothes when they flew to Aspen. Also, I am sure the Aspen and plane scenes would have been shot on different days.

How can Ridge be with someone that constantly lies to him. There is no trust in that relationship at all. Maybe he feels excitement with Brooke and just normal love with Taylor, but normal love is true and consistent. He needs to make the right decision for himself.

I agree Bbfan, Steffy needs to stop harping and hounding her mother.. Taylor wants and needs support.. She is not a dementia patient that needs reminding they just ate!! Steffy can see how much she is hurting, so doing what she is doing won’t help her decide what she wants.. she won’t even give Taylor time to think or come up for air before she repeats herself, and like I said, the writers need to watch the show back for two weeks and see if they can stay awake for at least the first scene!!
The writers are just not listening to the viewers AT ALL! Those of us who have watched this show from the beginning, know how this will end. Somebody else, probably Thomas himself, called CPS with that app that Douglas has that changes your voice, that should be illegal and the app should not even exist, it's stupid, and the opportunities to misuse it are many.
Ridge won't believe Brooke, and he should have told her why he was asking her again about it, and he will chase after Taylor to Aspen, they will probably end up in bed together, though Taylor shouldn't be that stupid, and Brooke will either catch them or find out, and then eventually Ridge will find out that it wasn't true, and go back to Brooke. I am also one of the fans that are pissed off about them portraying Taylor to be so stupid and weak. If he came running to me, I would tell him forget it, because like she said she shouldn't be a consolation prize, and like she has also said, it always ends up the same way and he goes back to Brooke. Their kids getting involved are only setting up their mom for more heartbreak, and Taylor should move on and respect and value herself more than that. Ridge will always, always go back to Brooke. I have been watching the show since the original episode. Move on writers! I myself could definitely do better than this crap.
You said everything I was thinking and I've also been watching since 1st episode in 1987. Lazy writers and them trying to change things based on these 2 new characters. I've never liked KT in this role because Ron Moss had really made it his own. Plus, they brought in someone younger and did the same for the new Taylor who is young enough to be JMW's sister. It makes no sense but they're using this to put them together and try to make us veteran's forget the true history - absurd! KKL has no chemistry with him anyway so I'm all for them pairing her with someone else because this version of Ridge is way too different. I actually liked her with Bill - hate the way they paired them but like their chemistry. Maybe they'll put them back together and if that is the case, great! Just move on from this love triangle BS. Everyone will finally realize that Thomas needs serious help - certainly more than his mom can and removal of a brain tumor could. He's been troubled since he was a teen - burning down Rick's home, then pretending to hook up with Brooke after the plane crash so he could get Stephanie's promised stocks, and then becoming fixated on Hope right after Caroline died. No version of Thomas has been stable in that role so why should this one be any different. The writers definitely suck and have no imagination for how to carry the show forward rather than recycling old storylines and trying to rewrite history. They can't show true flashbacks of Brooke, Taylor and Ridge because they changed the other 2 main characters!
@D. I did see yesterday's episode, and there was not much different today. Best friends Liam & Brooke going on and on about how unstable Thomas is, and unfit to raise Douglas. Then something else we've seen every day for several weeks: Annoying Steffy reminding Taylor how much she loves dad, and how they belong together. And that Brooke has been with so many men. And Brooke lies, and she will hurt dad again. Ugh!! Come on, B and B! It's a 30 minute show (actually like 20 minutes). There's too much repeating the same stuff day after day. It's getting so old! Please, please, please move the storyline along!

Taylor cares so much about family that she was not there when either of her grandkids, Steffys kids, were born, not when Thomas was sick in the head, not when Steffy was going through her addiction, and neither one of them have shown any interest in Douglas until now. What a bunch of hypocrites! And Taylor is no more of a Forester than Brooke is, and she has been with every member of the family too, and even Brooke's son Rick! I don't know why they don't write into the script about that every time somebody throws that crap into Brooke's face. Taylor just needs to go back to whatever country she's been in and stayed in when her family needed her.
That's true. Taylor was more absent than present in her kids lives. Wasn't there for Steffy's wedding either. And she's been with the same men as Brooke plus her own. Her kids have just been raised with this hate and this construct that Brooke cheated on their father with grandpa and uncle and have no idea what actually went down. How about Ridge actually cheating on her with Quinn? The Shauna crap? He even got together with Katie. And that's only since they changed actors. And Brooke has one lousy drunk kiss with Deacon that tore her apart for months, he goes and makes out with Taylor and it's all well. That's why (I think) nobody wants to see him with her anymore. He has been as hypocritical as Taylor and Stuffy, he totally belongs with them.
@M I think the major difference here with Brooke and Ridge is that Ridge would have done what he did in response to Brooke cheating on him. At least with Shauna and with Taylor.
That said, I think Ridge needs to be alone for a while. He definitely needs to put some distance between him and Brooke because she will always disappoint him given the way she feels about his children and the fact that she cannot seem to set boundaries where her ex-husbands/lovers are concerned. He also needs to stay away from Taylor because knowing how she feels about him and not feeling the same way is not fair to her.

At least Taylor was doing something good for others. She video chatted etc and her family understood that she loved them and supported them but couldn’t just abandon her commitments either. She did eventually finish her term of service and return home!

Hope will be sorry when she manages to push Liam away. They should be a united front where kids are concerned (and anything else for that matter). It wasn't too long ago that he admitted to Hope that he has seen a change in Thomas. He even asked Thomas to look after Hope and the kids when he was in prison. Also, Thomas had every opportunity to take advantage of Liam being in prison to get with Hope but instead he chose to help Liam get out of prison so that he can reunite with Hope. Whatever Liam thinks is going on with Thomas is not because of anything that Thomas has done and everything to do with his own insecurities which are being fanned by his paranoid mother-in-law.
The Thomas haters keep pushing the agenda that Thomas has not changed and is only pretending to be. That he is somehow still obsessed with Hope and out of his mind even though, up till this point, he has done absolutely nothing to prove that he has reverted to his old behaviour.

We have also seen Thomas thinking about Hope and willing himself not to go there again. We even saw it in yesterday's show how he looked at Hope's photo on the desk then he quickly looked away. We are seeing that even though he still has feelings for Hope, he is trying his best not to become obsessed with her again. We are not seeing a return to his crazy, as you put it (lol). The fact that he is seen to be trying tells me that he is viewing being with Hope in a healthy way and not an obsessive way. Hope being the only woman for him, in this regard, is a good thing!
There's such a double standard here, Ridge has kissed numerous women since he's been with Brooke, even ended up in really compromising positions with Shawna and Brooke always forgives, yet Brooke's slip-ups are unforgivable. Ridge is actively flirting with and telling his ex he loves her and that's okay with everyone? But God forbids Brooke have a simple conversation with any of her exes. The double standard is ridiculous!
Brooke had no choice to forgive Ridge with the Shauna debacle because that all came about because Brooke kissed Bill! She also had no choice to forgive him for kissing Taylor because she kissed Deacon, lied about it then defended Deacon against Ridge.
I am not saying that it is right that Ridge always runs to another woman whenever Brooke betrays their marriage but I don't see a double standard here, especially with this current storyline with Taylor. Brooke continues to push Ridge away, first with Deacon and now with Thomas. Brooke always makes her own bed then her supporters cry foul.
Ridge's reaction is disproportionate to Brooke's mistake. The Shauna thing went way beyond that one kiss with Bill. And the Taylor thing is still ongoing. It's one thing to kiss someone when you've been basically drugged and then in your despair, knowing how your husband reacts to that guy, lie (not saying it's okay; only saying it has it's circumstances). Another is to have this conscious, ongoing emotional affair he's having with Taylor and act like it's all normal. If everyone was squeaky clean we wouldn't have a soap. Half of Brooke haters would quit because they wouldn't have her to hate. But if men were held to the same standards, we would have a more modern, empowering one.

Ridge is in love with both women hence his back and forth however, a lot of that has to do with Brooke and her behaviour. She claims that Ridge is her destiny yet she continues to do things that cause a strain on their marriage knowing that he quickly runs to other women whenever that happens.

Well, I missed yesterday's show but can see I didn't miss much. Stefy still reminding Taylor she loves Ridge, he loves her and they make each other happy. Brooke and Liam still talking about how Thomas is so dangerous, manipulative and not fit to be a Dad. Maybe Friday? We'll find out who made the call. Did the pinecone falling have meaning for Ridge sometime in the history of the show?

DeleteAspen is a location shoot. The plane was a set. I imagine Steffy and Taylor would have changed their clothes when they flew to Aspen. Also, I am sure the Aspen and plane scenes would have been shot on different days.

Steffy can see how much she is hurting, so doing what she is doing won’t help her decide what she wants.. she won’t even give Taylor time to think or come up for air before she repeats herself, and like I said, the writers need to watch the show back for two weeks and see if they can stay awake for at least the first scene!!

I am also one of the fans that are pissed off about them portraying Taylor to be so stupid and weak. If he came running to me, I would tell him forget it, because like she said she shouldn't be a consolation prize, and like she has also said, it always ends up the same way and he goes back to Brooke. Their kids getting involved are only setting up their mom for more heartbreak, and Taylor should move on and respect and value herself more than that. Ridge will always, always go back to Brooke. I have been watching the show since the original episode. Move on writers! I myself could definitely do better than this crap.

DeleteYou said everything I was thinking and I've also been watching since 1st episode in 1987. Lazy writers and them trying to change things based on these 2 new characters. I've never liked KT in this role because Ron Moss had really made it his own. Plus, they brought in someone younger and did the same for the new Taylor who is young enough to be JMW's sister. It makes no sense but they're using this to put them together and try to make us veteran's forget the true history - absurd! KKL has no chemistry with him anyway so I'm all for them pairing her with someone else because this version of Ridge is way too different. I actually liked her with Bill - hate the way they paired them but like their chemistry. Maybe they'll put them back together and if that is the case, great! Just move on from this love triangle BS. Everyone will finally realize that Thomas needs serious help - certainly more than his mom can and removal of a brain tumor could. He's been troubled since he was a teen - burning down Rick's home, then pretending to hook up with Brooke after the plane crash so he could get Stephanie's promised stocks, and then becoming fixated on Hope right after Caroline died. No version of Thomas has been stable in that role so why should this one be any different. The writers definitely suck and have no imagination for how to carry the show forward rather than recycling old storylines and trying to rewrite history. They can't show true flashbacks of Brooke, Taylor and Ridge because they changed the other 2 main characters!
Delete@D. I did see yesterday's episode, and there was not much different today. Best friends Liam & Brooke going on and on about how unstable Thomas is, and unfit to raise Douglas. Then something else we've seen every day for several weeks: Annoying Steffy reminding Taylor how much she loves dad, and how they belong together. And that Brooke has been with so many men. And Brooke lies, and she will hurt dad again. Ugh!! Come on, B and B! It's a 30 minute show (actually like 20 minutes). There's too much repeating the same stuff day after day. It's getting so old! Please, please, please move the storyline along!

DeleteTaylor cares so much about family that she was not there when either of her grandkids, Steffys kids, were born, not when Thomas was sick in the head, not when Steffy was going through her addiction, and neither one of them have shown any interest in Douglas until now. What a bunch of hypocrites! And Taylor is no more of a Forester than Brooke is, and she has been with every member of the family too, and even Brooke's son Rick! I don't know why they don't write into the script about that every time somebody throws that crap into Brooke's face. Taylor just needs to go back to whatever country she's been in and stayed in when her family needed her.

DeleteThat's true. Taylor was more absent than present in her kids lives. Wasn't there for Steffy's wedding either. And she's been with the same men as Brooke plus her own. Her kids have just been raised with this hate and this construct that Brooke cheated on their father with grandpa and uncle and have no idea what actually went down. How about Ridge actually cheating on her with Quinn? The Shauna crap? He even got together with Katie. And that's only since they changed actors. And Brooke has one lousy drunk kiss with Deacon that tore her apart for months, he goes and makes out with Taylor and it's all well. That's why (I think) nobody wants to see him with her anymore. He has been as hypocritical as Taylor and Stuffy, he totally belongs with them.

He definitely needs to put some distance between him and Brooke because she will always disappoint him given the way she feels about his children and the fact that she cannot seem to set boundaries where her ex-husbands/lovers are concerned. I am annoyed with Liam most of all, more so than Brooke, because when he was in jail, he gave Thomas his blessing to be with Hope and the kids.. He certainly trusted him enough then , to say that.. But regardless, even if it wasn’t Brooke, the fact he has no trust in her, and she is so against Thomas, saying horrible things about him to Ridge, and not supporting Ridge, and the CONSTANT drama she brings to him, it’s never ending.. The kiss with Bill and lying, then at the hospital, instead of being there for him, she just caused him grief, the Deacon saga, lying, now manipulating with Thomas to get Douglas back.. A man can only take so much, and these are just all the recent things.. It’s just constant, one thing after another..
Then like Taylor said, she lies, then when caught out, it’s tears for days, then all is forgiven.. @M To be fair (and absolutely objective), Liam is not willing to compromise either. He has absolutely no reason to think that Thomas has reverted to his past behaviour or to think that Thomas is obsessed with Hope again. No reason! It's all in his head.
DeleteIt wasn't too long ago that he admitted to Hope that he has seen a change in Thomas. He even asked Thomas to look after Hope and the kids when he was in prison. Also, Thomas had every opportunity to take advantage of Liam being in prison to get with Hope but instead he chose to help Liam get out of prison so that he can reunite with Hope. Whatever Liam thinks is going on with Thomas is not because of anything that Thomas has done and everything to do with his own insecurities which are being fanned by his paranoid mother-in-law.
The Thomas haters keep pushing the agenda that Thomas has not changed and is only pretending to be. That he is somehow still obsessed with Hope and out of his mind even though, up till this point, he has done absolutely nothing to prove that he has reverted to his old behaviour.
If Hope loses Liam, I say good riddance. He ain't a catch anyway. Thomas however, has proven that Hope is the only woman he wants to be with. Even Hope is starting to see how insecure Liam is being. She has tried to reassure him time and time again but he refuses to budge.
I for one would love to see Thomas absolutely stable and done with his crazy (although again his criminal mind did provide for excitement and we wouldn't want a squeaky clean soap). But if I were Liam I would keep an eye on him too if he's all of a sudden acting like this. Only Hope is invited to the house and the kid that Liam was parenting till a few days ago now is with Thomas only. And exactly because Thomas has proven that Hope is the only woman he wants Liam has all the right to be suspicious. You said it yourself.

We are seeing that even though he still has feelings for Hope, he is trying his best not to become obsessed with her again. We are not seeing a return to his crazy, as you put it (lol). The fact that he is seen to be trying tells me that he is viewing being with Hope in a healthy way and not an obsessive way. Hope being the only woman for him, in this regard, is a good thing!

Ridge's reaction is disproportionate to Brooke's mistake. The Shauna thing went way beyond that one kiss with Bill. And the Taylor thing is still ongoing. It's one thing to kiss someone when you've been basically drugged and then in your despair, knowing how your husband reacts to that guy, lie (not saying it's okay; only saying it has it's circumstances). Another is to have this conscious, ongoing emotional affair he's having with Taylor and act like it's all normal. If everyone was squeaky clean we wouldn't have a soap. Half of Brooke haters would quit because they wouldn't have her to hate. But if men were held to the same standards, we would have a more modern, empowering one.
