DeleteI don't think anyone can say now that Hope truly loved Carter, or that Hope wasn't using Carter. All we heard from her today was "what about me?"
DeleteHope cannot even acknowledge that Carter was riddled with guilt about what he did to the Forresters. What kind of love is that that she can't even try to understand what Carter was going through. Hope just doesn't care. All she cared about was revenge on Ridge and Steffy.
I still say Hope absolutely loved Carter. You ladies are conveniently overlooking the fact that Hope wanted Carter to stand with her!! And to walk out with her!! Her delusional thinking about how marginalised and abused etc the Logans have been is complete nonsense! All of the Logans were given premier jobs, were promoted etc despite not earning it! Hope literally wants FC. To be the Logan Company! Like Steffy said every design Hope’s line sold was created by a Forrester! Every line there was made by Ridge or Eric or Thomas or Zende etc! No Logans are designers!

In Hope’s messed up world, Carter should only care about what benefits Hope and the Logan’s and throw his life away to get Hope what she wants. Otherwise he’s useless to her!

DeleteBeing a selfish person doesn’t mean you aren’t capable of loving someone. Look at Steffy….she is the most egocentric person on the show. And I don’t think that affects her ability to love Finn.
Lynn Hope didn’t mention love once. It was all about her and how Carter didn’t give her what she wanted and needed and how his being weak (having a conscience) ruined everything! That they never needed to give FC back! She literally said it was a family business for HER HER FAMILY, HER line, HER career! Not one thing in there about Carter being a part of it! It was his job to hand Hope whatever she desired on a platter!

DeleteYes, she is hurt and feels betrayed but Lynn, even you have to admit that she has never once taken Carter's feelings into consideration. In Hope's mind, there seems to be absolutely no reason or excuse for Carter to not give her what she wants.

This Hope that we are seeing is a shell of her former self. She is devoid of love. And I think it has to do with 1) Liam's feelings for Steffy and 2) Thomas leaving her because of Steffy (her perception anyway).
I've been saying for a while that she needs to see a professional.
Elle, I will be the first to admit Hope has definitely changed. And not in a good way. I will always say that before the Thomas relationship she was a MUCH BETTER person. But you can act in less than ethical ways and still have the ability to love. I don’t think Monday’s episode proved anything.

Carter needs to move on with and get with Daphne (the French chic), and Hope needs to start her own fashion company with her mom and then see who does better, the foresters or the Logans

Hope is utterly insubordinate, and that wasn’t going to change.
Steffy knew they could never trust Hope. Hope proved her point straight away!
Brooke has been justifying the takeover from day 1. Of course she thinks Steffy was unfair to Hope because she feels that if Steffy didn't fire Hope in the first place, none of this would be happening.
DeleteHowever, it did happen and Hope has been at the center of it. But, 2 wrongs don't make a right. And Hope has been doing a lot of wrong even before the takeover. It's not just Steffy.
Steffy signed away her legacy to Carter, and the way I see it, that was her comeuppance. Hope stole a company and continues to act like she did nothing wrong. It's time that she faces the consequences of her actions.
Hope, “how does it benefit me?” There is the entire relationship with Carter in a nutshell!
ReplyDeleteI truly believe that the only reason Hope wanted Carter to leave with her is because she wanted to stick it to the Forresters. She knows that Carter is an invaluable member of the executive team so if she took him away, she would have "won."
DeleteAnd that's why she's so mad at him. Because, even at the end, he couldn't give her the win she wanted over the Forresters, and particularly Steffy.
Now we have Brooke begging for Ridge and Carter begging for Hope. Painful to watch
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd say this about Brooke, but at this point, she's just pathetic and desperate. Maybe she deserves to be with someone as self-absorbed as Ridge. And as messy and wrong as this whole coup thing is, something nice came out of it: a new, stronger, and more forthright Hope. She was wrong about the coup, but as long as she stops being everyone's doormat, especially Steffy's, she's okay. She's bitter now, and that's how overly soft people feel when they feel like they've been fooled for too long and just want revenge. Yes, it's a very negative and toxic mindset, but Hope really needed to grow up. I also think she should move on from HFTF and put those days behind her, or at least evolve

DeleteTrue BBFan. But Hope also had some redeeming qualities about her. I look at her relationship with Thomas and, if it was anyone else, they would have cut Thomas out of their life for good. But Hope has actually been there for him through most of his rough years and she gave him her trust over and over again. It's why I felt that their relationship was strong, due to all that they have been through together.

ReplyDeletewtf does brooke need some seriousl mental help or is it just me thinking this. she is standing there acting as if because carters conscience got the best of him and he gave the company back that she had something to do with it and that ridge is just going to fall back into her arms and ditch taylor and move back in with "his logan" (now yes in the past he has) but he has gotten close with taylor there living together at his dads house for gods sake they got the beach house back and renovating it. brooke was fine being the ceo she didnt do anything to get carter to give the company back except a few times tell him she missed ridge or it doesn't feel right for ridge not to be there but other than that she did nothing. and for them to be surprised that they got rid of hope really how could she did she think after all hope had said and done they were going to let her stay . as far as i see it she is lucky they let her stay i know if it was me no way would she be there or carter be there. so in the friday preview it shows brooke going off on hope so i think that is because ridge actually finally told her she isn't his logan any longer and he is going to marry taylor, how many times does he have to tell her its unforgivable what she did and today he didn't even kiss her back and you could see in her eyes she didn't know what to really do because he has always gave into her little tear and kissing him.so i think after that she goes and takes it out on hope and blames her or he tells her she did nothing to correct it or correct her daughter and he she chose hope over him living there and walks out maybe so brooke being brooke goes and does what he wanted her to do before but its not going to work because she really doesn't believe ridge is done with her because if ridge gave her any hint he was going to get back with her there is no way she would go after hope like that now.but now if i was hope after all that ridge had said about me there is no way i would accept my mom talking to me like that now after ridge is back.i think hope will somehow lure thomas back here and get back with him and that will get back at ridge and brooke . ridge because his son is with hope again and all she has done and brooke because she doesn't like thomas and steffy will be just as pist off about it maybe more than the other two. taylor may be mad too. and carter needs to go with daphne now.

@ashblond I agree with your assessment of why Brooke goes off on Hope. The thing is though, Brooke cannot blame Hope entirely because Brooke chose to justify what Carter and Hope did. She should have stood with Ridge and the Forresters instead of alienating them. If Ridge turns her down, Brooke has noone to blame but herself.
