ReplyDeleteI have been wondering this for a while now.
Finn is around 38, Luna is around 20, that makes sense.
Finn was 18 when he fathered her.
Luna kept mentioning in the past that her mother was "very young" when she had her.
So she can't have been THAT much older than Finn.
At the same time Steffy keeps saying Poppy was "older" than him.
What is "older" and what is "VERY young" here and where do they meet? :D
I guess it is worth noticing that small age gaps are a much bigger deal when you are at that stage where you are about to become an adult, once you are all grown up, they don't matter as much.
And what about Li and Jack? IRL, Jack is almost 21 years older than Finn, Li is 9 years older than him.
How old are they supposed to be on the show?
Jack being almost 21 when he had Finn, ok, so he would be around 59. But there is no way Li was 9 when she adopted him lol. Given that they had been married before he had an affair with Sheila, I would assume she must have been at least 20 at the time, as well.

DeleteThat's right Lynn. If Finn was 18 when he and Poppy hooked up, and she was older than him, she most definitely would not have been "very young" when she had Luna. She might have been mid to late 20s given her carefree lifestyle, which would put her anywhere between her mid-40s to 50 years old. I gather that Li is much older than her.

DeleteI think the flaw in the SL is Poppy saying she was “very young” when she had Luna. Let’s say Luna is 21 currently. Finn most likely would have been 19 by the time Luna was born. So that would make Finn 40 right now. I’m guessing Poppy is mid 50’s. So Poppy would have had Luna in her mid 30’s….and that is NOT very young.
Li and Jack are both in their late 50’s, maybe early 60’s. That means Li and Jack would have adopted Finn when they were really young. They would have had to have gotten married in their late teens or very early 20’s. Nothing really adds up.
I swear I think they figure out these SL’s as they go. It’s clearly done on the fly. That’s why the SL’s are so stupid. Nothing ever adds up. And history on this show changes to suit the writer’s narrative. Very disappointing.

DeleteLol ladies. I just logged in to see if today's show was worth watching. I'm not about to try and do math at this time of the night, but the ages you are all saying is plausible. So far it's only been Steffy saying that Poppy was much older and the adult. She could have been around 23-25 who knows?
DeleteLynn, there could be a big age difference between Poppy and Li. My sister is 11 yrs older than me, the other 13. In soap-land you ladies aren't' suppose to be so intuitive or pay attention to detail. :)

I also agree about the changing stories. I remember Luna being so upset over having had sex with Zende, she had no reason to be upset when no one was around if this had been her plan all along.

There definitely could be a big age difference. My colleague just had her second child at 39, she had her first at 20.
I found the end of this épisode, with the music behind and Finn saying to Luna “It’s me, I’m your father”, really beautiful and moving. I like this storyline ❤️ But I hate what fake Taylor is doing to Steffy ; telling her to leave her husband !!! Jacqueline has to be pregnant with her 5th child…

I don’t think anyone on the show is pregnant. People have said both Hope and Steffy have been pregnant for months. If either were pregnant in real life, they would be showing a lot more right now. And I agree with BBFAN…..going to stay at Eric’s is definitely not leaving the show.

When Poppy and Luna came to town, they were very close and Luna herself said that she never lacked anything because her mother always made sure she had everything she needed. Now, all of a sudden, she's a double murderer because she was so neglected by Poppy?
Elle, YES!! Luna always bragged about her mom. How it was always just the two of them, but they made it work. I even seem to recall how Luna said how much Poppy sacrificed for her. Now all of a sudden her mother is the Queen of Neglect….having nonstop parties, drugs and men coming and going. Absurd!!
DeleteLynn, we even heard from Li herself that Poppy went after wealthy men, including one of Li's colleagues at the hospital. And we figured this was how she was able to take care of Luna. So, Poppy went from being a gold-digger to a drugged up sex maniac who didn't know who Luna's father was.

That's what I thought too, BBFan. Hope doesn't seem to feel hurt being betrayed by Carter. Especially since she has longed for someone to love only her. Not sure what to make of her expression just yet.
DeleteI disagree. I think Hope is genuinely hurt by the kiss. I think her hurt is two-fold. She is hurt by Carter’s betrayal of their love as well as the fact that he is having second thoughts of giving the business back to Ridge. Two things can be true at the same time.
DeleteI completely agree that Hope has become truly power hungry and has acted crazy. But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t truly love Carter.
I do not believe that Hope loves Carter. Given the person that she used to be, if she truly loved him, she would never have encouraged him to go against his values but, she saw an opportunity for revenge on Steffy and used Carter to get it. That was very obvious when she went off on Ridge after walking in on him and Carter recently. Her true feelings emerged.

DeleteDaphne suggested to Carter that Ridge may agree to keep HFTF if Carter gives the company back. Carter is definitely going to give the company back at some point. So we’ll see what Hope does with that. I for sure don’t see Daphne and Carter together as a couple.

I also think that Carter will give back the company on the condition that HFTF remains. Not sure what will happen to Hope though.
She does seem to “see him” as you mentiion, Elle. But I think he is turned off by her arrogance. He is way too down to earth to ever want to be with Miss Queen Snoot Daphne.

ReplyDeleteI don't understand Taylor's advice. How are Steffy and the kids in danger all of a sudden? Sheila has been with Deacon and working at his restaurant for several months now. And she hasn't really done anything evil or criminal. Everyone believes Luna is in prison. So where's the immediate danger? I think Steffy will eventually leave him, but not because of danger. It will be because he's going to want to be active in Luna's life, and believe she can be rehabilitated.

DeleteAnd based on Sheila's conversation with Poppy last week, she still sees Steffy as the person keeping her and her son apart so, we can't take it for granted that Sheila (or Luna) won't want to harm Steffy again. Taylor is concerned for her daughter and has every right to be.
